Excellent place food and service

Been debating about trying here for a few weeks but decided what have we got to lose so we went this morning (Sunday). It was very busy but we managed to get a table (was advised to prebook at weekends). The continental breakfast was plentiful and very fresh, with fresh juices and coffees. We ordered a full English to go with this. This arrived piping hot and very flavoursome. The staff couldn't do any more to help and lovely and friendly. Forgot to take photos as we were too busy enjoying the food. 10/10 will definitely be returning.

Fabulous restaurant with the Premier inn chain. We have stayed a couple of times & this restaurant is excellent. Good food, prepared & delivered in a timely fashion, great selection of beers, ciders & wine. The staff are first class, friendly & good fun & very attentive !! Well done, you do Southport & Ormskirk proud 👏

First time back here in a long while. Came after our local beefeater closed wow even better here. Pam our waitress was lovely. Food was fab and children can't wait to come back. Thank you 😊

Stayed in the hotel attached for 2 nights so booked a table for breakfast and evening meal. The staff here are really friendly especially Lacey who was really helpful. The evening meal and breakfasts were all cooked well and arrived in good time.

This Restaraunt is absolutely fantastic.Pam who served us was very sweet, professional, we were there for our Silver wedding Anniversary, the starter was beautiful breaded mushrooms. yumm the main course my husband had the fish and chips with mushy peas and he so enjoyed it well recommended. I had the melted chicken, which was chicken breast with bacon and melted cheese served with chips and home made coleslaw. then for desert hubby had chocolate cake and ice cream and I has the Biscot sunday. Absolutely delicious.

Stopped on way to Southport, so glad we did. Sunday roast, best we’ve had for a long time. Staff were very friendly and looked after us and our three grandchildren amazingly. Will be going back very soon.

Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to The Morris Dancer and we will return. Have to say our waitress Pamela F made us feel really welcome. Food was really good and recommend Ribeye Steak and Salmon steak

Excellent food, excellent atmosphere, excellent friendly staff. Pamela was the lady we dealt with most and she was humorous and so efficient. We would like her to get a pay rise please! The others were fantastic too.

This is a lovely place with lovely staff and food is great. Pamela was brilliant at every visit. She has a good sense of humour and gives brilliant service. The other staff were great too.

The food was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. Staff were friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be returning.

It's been a while since we were here last, and it was very busy. But I expected that being a Sunday. There is background music playing, but it's not too loud. Neither of us had starters today. For mains we had rib eye steak. Peppercorn sauce, tomato and mushroom and garden peas, my sister had salad and king prawns and I had skin-on fries. As usual everything tasted delicious. For desert we both had a KitKat sundae. Staff were clean, tidy and friendly. All the table's were clean and laid, ready for the next customers. And as Arnie says, we'll be back!

Cold food! Waiters not very pleasent.. chicken cold and like rubber £27 and was terrible.

visited this restaurant for family meal very impressed with service from our server Samantha nothing was too much trouble went the extra mile. Food was really good value for money. Will definitely return.

Place was full, very busy, so a wait for the food but not too long. Service was attentive a cheerful despite work load. Several cars did not have disabled badges and as spaces full we had to park away from door.

The food here is typical of a Beefeater which I would describe poor quality pub grub at best but that's what you pay for. The staff were faultless as ever, friendly and helpful. The pub is adjacent to a Premier Inn and therefore there is a large free car park attached. I would recommend booking as it can get very busy around 6pm.

Been a few times but the more I go the more I realise its just not good value. Portions quite small.

Really pleasantly surprised. Doesn't look like much from outside but the food was very good quality, good value, and the staff were lovely. I love that the kids menu has healthy options, but still things that kids would enjoy. Wouldn't hesitate to go again.

Adjacent to the Premier Inn we stayed at for one night. Enjoyed the evening meal here and our breakfast the next morning.

We stayed at the Premier Inn next door with no problems. On Friday evening we had a meal. We ordered our food and was served by Katie A. She was miserable and rude; slammed glasses down and was the same with all of us. She clearly didn't want to be there. The food was mediocre. I think she had a fall out with another colleague. Not good customer service.

We ate last night and whilst the mains were nice, I ordered a side of onion rings to share with myself and my wife and was quiet shocked that when they landed on our table the £4.99 that they cost equated to 5 onion rings in a small metal tumbler or a £1 per onion ring! C'mon guys you surely can't be serious 😂

Staff very friendly an welcoming. Food very overpriced for what you get. Nice clean pub. Would i return? No not for the money they charge can get similar meals elsewhere for half the price 🥺

Went for breakfast as a family of 8, Diane was our server and went above and beyond to make sure are visit was pleasant, we had her demented with trips to our table with extra things and one thing or another, she was very polite and made our experience a memorable one! Thank Diane from the crazy bunch of slobs ha!

The food was very good and the service was welcoming and friendly, could have easily been 5 stars, but the gents toilets on Wednesday afternoon was an absolute disgrace, wet floor and stunk of unrie.

Ate here as a table of 8. The service was brilliant, the waitress who looked after us was so on the ball. All 8 mains came together and were piping hot and delicious, well done chef. Also had breakfast next morning after staying at premier next door. Only 1 Criticism, i feel the pup could be with a refurb. Will definately visit again.

Had breakfast here after staying in the Premier Inn. I asked for full English, what the waiter heard was give me all the bacon. Mini heart attack later I am looking for a reason to visit the area for work again. Great full English breakfast and pretty solid coffee as well. Recommend the breakfast for sure!

Stopped for a quick pint No dogs allowed which is sad but I guess will be a brand policy that’s the They do have an outside but was blowing a fake only reason its getting four stars most bars and eateries in city centres let dogs in these days Wide range of beers

Got invited here by friends a few months ago for breakfast, we now come once a week every week and it's worth every penny! Service is spot on, food is excellent and it is a clean, friendly, relaxing environment.

Says closes at 23.00 but last order's called at 21.45 asked to leave at 22.30 after having a lovely meal could have done with having a few more drinks but felt pressured into leaving if it says closes 23.00 surely last order's 22.30 ?? Otherwise good place for food 👌

Found this place for breakfast a few months back - was really impressed and have returned several times since. You can order whatever you like (eggs, bacon, sausauge, etc) and also undulge in the continental buffet. Fabulous (unlimited) coffee macine. £9.99 - can't beat it!

The staff were helpful and friendly. They provided a buffet after a funeral and did it very well. Much appreciated.

Really tiny portions, definitely frozen food. Everything has that pub taste. It's basically a pub without the drink. And tiny portions for prices that you pay at a real restaurant

Enjoyed a varied breakfast after our stay at the Premier Inn. Plenty of choice and the food was well prepared.

Had the Ultimate Sunday roast it was amazing! Beautifully cooked and presented, it was was served on a large plate with everything you could ask for. For those of us that couldn’t eat it all they boxed it up for us to take home. We will definitely be back again soon!

Great food excellent staff, never leave disappointed excellent value

2nd visit to the Morris Dancers pub. Got seated very quickly, the lady who waited on our table was lovely, service with a smile and very efficient. No long wait for food, mixed grill was delicious. Would highly recommend.

Really good food. Sadly restaurant area dirty and tired.dim lighting hides the dirty worn out carpets and food stained chairs really well. Not been for quite some time and noticed how tired and dirty it all appeared.

Superb! Fabulous meal here after a long day at the flower show. Service was prompt and the food was delicious.

Nice atmosphere and modern. Great, friendly, smiley staff and surprisingly tasty, well presented food. Great for a quick bite to eat and out the way from the hustle and bustle of Southport and Ormskirk. Clean, modern toilets, small carpark to the front, beer garden outside and next to a Premier Inn.

The Sunday roast was very disappointing. Over cooked roast parsnips, rubbery broccoli and no chicken. The roast potatoes were excellent though.

Our family meets here for breakfast every Sunday. Breakfast is always nice and comes out quick. The staff are so lovely and friendly. I would definatley recommend.

Great little place to stop off on the way to Southport for a quick bite. Friendly staff and really good pub grub. Burger was fantastic and the kids sausage and mash was tasty and plentiful. Prices have gone up a bit recently but that seems to be life these days unfortunately, still relatively good value for money though.

Mine and my wife’s go-to restaurant for British food. The quality of the food is always very good and good value for money. The staff are also great. We usually visit late afternoon on a Saturday for an early tea and we are usually served by June. She’s always helpful, friendly and makes us feel very welcome. One of the reasons why we keep coming back.

Wonderful meal. Superb steaks cooked to perfection. Very helpful staff. Pam always served us and always beyond the service expectations. also Alex in the bar great customerservice and the great chef Josh always on it. Very highly recommended. Very relaxing experience.

Food is all to be expected, mostly one that goes well with chips and sits well in the fryer. Went safe with squid, bit bland, but soft and not rubbery 👍 wings and fish- good. Where it was poor was the temperature, rather cold and the coleslaw was quite the opposite - warm, bleugh! and as tasteless as you could make it, barely seasoned and sat in watery 'mayo'. Verdict? Go there for your chops and chips not your salad. However no excuse as the menu is simple enough to look after well

Pam was an excellent server - very knowledgeable about menu options and advice on best choices. Went the extra mile!

Went for fathers day lunch today what can I say amazing food amazing service the lovely June was are server and she was great Anthony was great and brought are drinks offer all the chefs very busy but still smiling while cooking would recommend highly

The two stars was because of the disappointing breakfast I had when I stayed at the Premier Inn. I ordered scrambled eggs which were bone dry and bland, clearly microwaved, same with the beans. Just wasn’t pleasant to eat. Mushrooms were cold and greasy. The plate arrived and it looked depressing. Continental breakfast was nice though and the staff were pleasant. Shame about the food, I was really hungry and so I left unsatisfied.
