Beautiful little gem of a Bistro in the lively dock of Robin Hoods Bay. Food is delicious, and locally sourced. We had a filet steak which was cooked to perfection and the lamb which was faultless. The staff were really friendly and efficient. A great experience all round. We will definitely be returning. Would highly recommend 😊

It was a last minute decision to go to the Bistro & it did not disappoint. We hadn’t booked but they managed to fit us in. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable. The ladies who were servicing that night were lovely and very welcoming. They were very knowledgable about the menu. The food was fantastic. We had the nachos with shredded beef & it was the best I’ve had in a very long time. Main course I had the chicken breast with mash potatoes, the source was deep & tasty. We then shared the Crème Brûlée which was yummy! I would highly recommend. Next time I will make sure we book as they were having to turn people away due for how busy they got.

Top drawer chateaubriand and the onion loaf was awesome. Chianti was bang on! Hospitality warm and freindly. Highly recommend.

James and Fran, pleasure to meet you as locals of the area to never hear of this place in the two years you have had it is a big miss. We can not wait to visit again. Top class service, food and value. Tourists do this restaurant a justice and order a steak if you want fish and chips have it at lunch. Steak is next level treat yourself. A lovely place to eat, great food & atmosphere. It’s casual & relaxed and suits Robin Hoods Bay perfectly. The waitresses are young but very good & happy to chat and they add to the relaxed experience. Enjoy!

They managed to seat 10 on the fly - amazing and kept my 2year old nephew amused whilst we all ate the lovely lunch. Lovely freshly cooked food and waitresses that go the extra mile ❤️ just make sure you park up the hill before walking down - no parking down the hill as we found out the hard way 🤣🙈

Amazing place , the food , to hear my hubby saying that it’s the best burger he’s ever had says a lot. And by burger it’s not your local restaurant chain it’s so fresh the burger was steak and my forest chicken was delicious. Finished by the cheese cake, the wines are amazing and the ales . Bramble is such a gorgeous restaurant set in the small town of Robin Hoods bay. I brought my Mum here for dinner as she hadn’t visited before. I decided to try a berry mojito which I feel could be improved. There was no mint in this, which I find is what attracts me to a mojito and is a key ingredient. For my main, I chose the flat iron steak. I don’t believe I’ve ever had this served where it isn’t sliced up on the plate, but because it looked so delicious, I didn’t particularly mind. It was cooked beautifully and full of flavour. The fries were also cooked perfectly and the red wine sauce I added as an extra was divine. My Mum also highly rated the burger that she chose and the red wine to go with it. It was a really lovely visit and felt nice and cosy!

We choose the bistro from the trip advisors reviews and we’re not disappointed! From the moment we walked in it was obvious why people loved the place. So incredibly friendly welcome for us and the dog. Tasty steak sandwich and delicious scampi. Even the dog got a bowl! One happy Labrador getting her sausages. Wish we could head back for dinner. The steak menu looks marvellous.

Where do I start…we had been given a few recommendations from our holiday cottages hosts on where to dine for our first wedding anniversary and they did not disappoint. As soon as we had booked our meal the team were great. We were greeted at the door by Freya who was warm and inviting and made us feel like we were welcome and at home. The meal was brilliant with a fantastic choice of wine to make our night special. The steak was probably the best quality of meat I have ever eaten- I was a chef for 15 years so I kind of know what I’m talking about! What a brilliant bistro, our meal wasn’t rushed and we were allowed to have the table without feeling like we needed to give it to another customer like some restaurants. Decor is amazing and full of history everything was just so comfortable. What made it extra special was a coincidental music playlist of our 1st wedding song and others from our special day. Then finding out our hosts llop shared the song for their wedding also!!! Clearly the meal there was meant to be and so we have decided to visit every wedding anniversary from now on… Keep up the excellent work and you are definitely missing out if you visit Robin Hoods bay and don’t come to Brambles.
