This week I did the spooky animals as well as the pumpkins carving. Such a lovely experience for the kids. Nicole made everyone feel very welcome and helped with the carving. The scary animals was also brilliant and really engaged the kids. Will definitely be back for more activities :)

We attended the crazy creatures event yesterday here and was fab! Having it in the halloween pop up cafe was great as we could get food/drink and it was set out brilliantly, really well decorated. My son thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the creatures (although didn't want to touch) the staff were amazing with him also. Will defiantly attend one of these events again.

Went to the Boos and Brews Cafe to take part in the pumpkin carving. Nicole was lovely and very helpful. My son, husband and I all had a great time choosing our pumpkins, carving them and having hot chocolates then pumpkin spice one is very nice! Massive thanks to everyone involved in the planning and running of all the Halloween events! Even got to take home some seeds to try and plant or roast! 😁X

Don't waste your money here. For the prices in the café you would expect decent service. Came for afternoon tea and cakes. 35 minutes to be served. 15 minutes for some drinks to arrive. Food came in dribs and drabs with the pleasure of eating out completely lost with members of our party having to get up and ask when their food would arrive. Even after an hour a coffee was still missing (it nevet actually arrived). After this dire experience a manager came over to say we should've told the staff they hadn't brought our food - we had!!!!!! Appalling experience, would never give my money to this shabby outfit again.

We have eaten in the cafe many times and have always really enjoyed the food. On our most recent visit we could see the food prices had increased, but given the quality of the food, we didn't mind. However, I do not know where the drinks prices have come from. Almost £4 for a sprite, £5 for an orange juice! These are the most expensive soft drinks I have had outside of 4 or 5 star hotel or bottomless options. I think a reset is needed as they are disproportionate to the food and no matter how good the food is, I don't like the feeling of being ripped off and so would think twice about returning.

We have been regular customers here for many years, so it pains me to write this. We visited for lunch, and I ordered a Ham salad. As I ate it, I became aware something was wrong, as the food appeared gritty. I searched the plate, and discovered, under the lettuce, a STONE. I brought it discretely to the staff's attention, and received an informal apology. I was asked if I wanted anything else, but apart from a cup of tea, I didn't. The lady then asked me if I felt that I should have a refund. I said yes, and was refunded. She then said, she would get me a cup of tea. Stupidly, I thought it would not be charged, as a gesture of good will perhaps, but NO. The bill came before the tea, which I didn't drink. Before leaving the garden centre, I asked how to make a formal complaint, and I was told to go on the website, and use the form provided. I did this, and the site would not submit my complaint, so I have had no contact from the manager at all. After at least 20 years eating and drinking in the cafe we have always affectionately called Hatties, I am very upset to say I will never go there again.

As a regular visitor to Bradley Fold since it was Golden Days and witnessed the great deveIopment to what it is today, I worry about what is happening to the Cafe. I believe the Cafe has a new food and beverage manager. Whoever he or she is should be taken to task immediately. As a regular visitor, certainly every week and occasionally twice, I can honestly say that the atmosphere has gone downhill and the decline in the demeanor of the staff is tangible. Where the staff would welcome you with a smile and work tirelessly to keep the customers happy we now have staff that seem to have a 'We don't want to work any here any more' attitude. and that is directly the managers fault, no one else's. It is is well known that a business is only as good as it's staff and particularly in the Hospitality business. If a manager cannot motivate them then the Senior Management should step in and investigate as to the reasons why, in order to save what was a fabulous and friendly place to visit. If it is not done immediately it will take ages to get back to what it was as all the best staff will have gone. I can also say I am not too impressed with the large increase in prices in the Cafe and Food Hall.

We went to have a coffee and a cake and I ordered 2 coffees and 2 keylime pie's only too be told they don't do them even though they are on the menu and then told me that the coffee that I had ordered was no longer being sold and that was on the menu as well and her attitude was not the best when I pointed out that they were advertising items that you couldn't have she said I'll get the manager and stomped of the man that came was very nice and helpful even though he was saying he was having a bad day and then the card reader wouldn't work for him.

I have been coming here for years and not been for a few months. I came to the cafe for lunch today and could not believe how much the prices had risen. £34 for lunch for 2. My sandwich arrived and it was on white bread when I'd asked for brown. My son specifically asked for chips and he got fries. The food came out at Seperate times, the drinks much later when we had almost finished. The bread was stale. No side salad. Really felt like we had been ripped off. My friend was on the next table and they paid over £16 for 2 cakes, a coffee and soft drink. Again, one cake with ice cream arrived, and twenty minutes later, the drinks and other cake came. It's expensive and the service is bad. They now charge £4.99 for a fresh orange juice!!!!!! Avoid this place and go to Radcliffe market instead or to newbank. You will only be dissapointed. I will never return and am not surprised that it's easy to get a table these days.

Went for a quick bite at lunchtime today. We were given the lunch specials menu and one of our party ordered the coronation chicken wrap. 5 minutes later we were told the special wrap was not available - this was about 12.15pm!! The sandwiches we ordered were mediocre at best - prawn Marie Rose sauce one lacked prawns, the tuna sandwich was okay and the turkey sandwich would have benefitted from a little more stuffing. The bread used for the sandwiches was dry and they were all over buttered. For the prices charged a little side salad might be nice rather than a tiny pot of coleslaw. The drinks served were okay and the staff were lovely but overall a disappointing experience from a place we have visited frequently.

My partner and I come to Bradley Fold quite regularly although we haven't been since 16th February until today 16th May due to illness. We always have lunch in the cafe and have never had anything to complain about, the food has always been excellent and the staff always very friendly. Today I ordered my usual, half a cheese and onion pie meal because a full portion is too much for me. I was then told that they had stopped doing half portions since the new management had took over. I think this is a disgrace as many of the older persons who eat in the cafe would only be able to manage a half portion. We've been there many many times and there must be 80% of the people in there are elderly. We also noticed the quite large increase across the board. I think the management team need rethink these alterations otherwise people will just stop coming. You've already lost us after today. We always ate in the cafe, buy our plants and flowers, meat from the butchers and bought allsorts of other stuff throughout the year which would add upto quite a sum between the 2 of us. Very dissatisfied about the new management's changes, we won't be coming again you have list our custom which would amount to a few hundred pounds In money per year. Your loss somewhere else will gain.

Just had a lovely visit to the garden centre and especially the cafe. We visited as a group of 8 (6 adults & 2 children). There weren't tables available as we arrived so we were given a beeper, we waited no longer than 10 minutes and considering it was a bank holiday afternoon that was really quick. We decided to order the afternoon tea, £20 for 2 people, unbeatable anywhere locally and also great that it didn't need to be ordered 24 hours in advance. It was beautiful, great choice of sandwiches, piece of quiche, followed by cakes and scones with tea/coffee. Staff were extremely friendly and nice even though they were so busy. We had never visited this garden centre before (we are always on the lookout for new ones to visit), but we will definitely be back.

Visited Wednesday 2 August. Looked at the food whilst queuing and it was lovely, got to the end of the queue only to be told that they were full and offered an electronic beeper which we were told would go off when a table was available. Walked round for 25 minutes, nothing, my Wife went back to the lady allocating places and she said “oh sorry the beepers aren’t working” Why would you give out a beeper when you know full well that they aren’t working? Given a table and you would think that after the queueing disaster someone would come quickly and take our order, but no, we waited for about 15 mins and eventually only managed to give our order because my Wife called a waitress over! We then waited a further 25 mins for our food to arrive, and again that was because we had to enquire to see what had happened to our order. Regrettably the food was dried up, very unappetising and to make matters worse we were served frozen chips. The restaurant was quite full and I suspect that this is simply a case of being under resourced, too many customers and not able to cope with busy times. We have been here before and found it to be perfectly acceptable however we will not be going there again,

Whilst waiting to be seated, I noticed the chef haking at the last piece of potato and steak pie and dishing it onto a plate it didn't look that appetising, I ordered the steak sandwich which did look good on arrival but when you bit into it, it was as tough as old boots, not overcooked just poor quality and you couldn't bit a piece off, had to dismantle the sandwich and use a knife and fork still difficult to cut and nearly impossible to chew, it was a good job I have my own teeth, my wife had a fajita wrap which was very plain and not much spice, all in all not a good dining experience, this was the second chance visit won't be trying again.

He really shouldn't be front line no smile, no thank you no nothing, he was a disgrace. Even when we got our good, I needed some salt and when I asked he just walked past and ignored. One of the worst examples of customer service you'll ever see. It's a shame because all the other members of staff were really pleasant. Visited today. Chose quiche with new potatoes & veg The potatoes were overcooked clearly pre warmed, awful. Vegetables mainly cabbage & cauliflower, bland. Hubby chose cheese & onion pie. Carrots hard & loads of cabbage. Presentation was awful. I told the waitress who said she would speak to the chef. She didn’t give me any feedback. I mention it to another member of staff who referred it to her supervisor. Sadly she was busy and I needed to leave. I rang from the car requesting to speak to someone in complaints. They don’t have a complaints procedure so would contact the restaurant manager and they would ring me very soon. 8 hours later no response. Totally appalling customer service and meal was mediocre, Been there previously and never had a bad experience, will not be going back with this attitude. Every restaurant and café we have been in over the last 2 months has been very keen on hygiene. Not just hand sanitiser but staff wearing masks. Called in for Lunch today and once again, not disappointed ! Yeah, the que was a little longer, but that just gives you more time to read the Menu Boards, The Hot Food on Display always looks fresh and is being replenished because of the number of Hot meals bring served, so there isn`t any of dishes `drying out ` under the Heat Lamps. I had the Scampi Sandwich on a Brown Bagette and chips, my partner had the Turkey, Stuffing and Cranberry, both were good size portions and well presented. There cakes are gorgeous and you`re spoilt for choice. The Fruit Scones are made daily and you know when have one. This is our favourite Lunctime diner, by far and any excuse to get to Bradley Fold is used. We`ll definatly be going back again soon.

The restaurant is fantastic and very popular. Not a place for a quiet meal but the food is excellent and good value. Had a main course and very disappointed that there was no room left for the scrumptious desserts. Will have to come again for the next course!

I went to Bradley fold garden centre today to collect on offer of a "Free watering can with any purchase", the offer is from 3rd January 2020 till 31st January 2020, I made my purchase, asked for the free watering can to be told ALL GONE SORRY TOO LATE!!!! Why do places put offers on and run out of the gifts weeks before the offer ends,Very disappointed.

Weve been here a few times to shop and normally just have a drink in the cafe. We visited on New Years Eve and decided to have dinner. Ordered food at the till and received the food at our table fairly quickly. We both had jacket potatoes with fillings and drinks. All was good. Last year they opened a butchers section in the garden centre. The food from here is excellent, really good quality. Love buying Christmas decorations here each year, great displays. The staff are friendly and helpful throughout the garden centre (from cafe, tills, food counters etc). Would recommend.

This is just a perfectly sized and well laid out garden centre. You don’t have to walk too far to get to each section. The cafe is always lovely and welcoming. The choices of meals are good and the prices are favourable. The gift choices and fancy goods are interesting and varied and prices reasonable. The butchers and bakery are excellent and the staff are always friendly. We travel over from Blackburn to our home town ( Parent and Grandparent worked at Bradley Fold Mill)and after visiting Newbank Radcliffe, Bolton Garden Centre Wigan Rd. and Oswaldtwistle Mills in the last few days to find nice Christmas decorations at a reasonable price this was heads and shoulders above the rest. The amazing Christmas trees with the fibre optic colour changing branches were truly beautiful and look good quality. The whole place is friendly and at the moment there is a lovely animated grotto scene as you enter. It is a credit to the owners and I never saw any raw meat on entering! The butchers is over the far side and if people are squeamish about seeing raw meat then they don’t have to go that close.Bit of a pathetic reason to condemn a lovely establishment. Please visit for a friendly welcome.

Queued for over half an hour before placing order. Then waited another half hour before it came. By then my tea was cold. Ordered a tuna sandwich. Very average. Came with just a small bowl of coleslaw. For the cost I would have expected at the very least a bit of side salad.I got a glimpse into the kitchen as I passed very slowly down the line and to my amazedment saw staff just standing around. No sense of urgency whatsoever even though it was lunchtime. I observed one chap amble around so slowly with a miserable expresion of his face made we wonder if he puts any love into his work.I certainly will not be frequenting this establishment again,

I notice through all the times I visit that , the staff seem to talk a lot between themselves even when there is a long queue , so , it takes ages to get served ,and often it seems that there aren't enough staff

I love going to this Garden Centre with Cafe. It is always fascinating . The cafe has lovely choices and is clean. Today we enjoyed a Manchester tart , a lovely Strawberry and cream tart and my favourite Cherry Scone with butter. The coffee was good too.

This review is for the garden centre as a whole as there does not seem to be a separate place to review. Our first visit today, the centre seems well stocked but was in a state of chaos as it looks like they are setting up for Christmas, Halloween, etc. A complete jumble of stuff. However, still lots of interesting things to look at, the outside area was better organised although there appeared to be building work going on there too. The cafe is very popular, (could do with updating). it was busy when we visited but we found a table and ordered our food at the till. Food was ok, we both had meat and potato pie with veg, handmade pastry and nice filling although it needed more gravy to keep it moist. Chips and veg ok, some of the carrots and parsnips undercooked. We probably will return at some point when hopefully all the work is done and the stock is better organised and displayed.

Long queue which did clear reasonably quickly. Food was good though not piping hot but very tasty. When finally got to the till to order-asked for a Jacket potato & was told there aren't any & a little sign was promptly pulled from under the counter and put on top of the till- had this been at the beginning of the counter I would have had plenty of time to choose something else whilst I waited in the queue. The poor lady in fron of me had only wanted a sandwich to take-out as she had had one the day before and promised to get one for her daughter as it had been good, She got to the till and ordered and was promptly told "we aren't doing take away items today" -she left empty-handed. Surely they could have offered to prepare one and just given her some foil to wrap it in-that would have taken 2 seconds more than preparing one for her to eat in-probably less as she could have had it without the side salad! So a missed opportunity there and lost revenue and maybe a loss of future revenue from that lady too. Not a very flexible approach.

Not just a garden centre with a great range of plants and garden furniture with really helpful and knowledgeable staff. But with a great cafe which is very good and popular but also a fabulous meat counter with some top quality meats and interesting selection of cheese and pies.

Been before, but wow what a change, great staff and customer service. It food offering from it in house butchers is good. But the cafe clearly a great success with locals, might need to expand or risk long queues. But well worth a visit.

I met my friend for a catch up an we stayed so long we had breakfast then lunch. There is such a variety of cakes it is hard to make a decision. I chose a toastie for my lunch which I wasn't keen on the ham they use - it was too fatty for me. I don't like any fat on bacon or ham. I have had jacket potatoes in the past which I enjoyed, also soup is a good decision. It is lovely to visit and have a walk round the shop too. Friendly staff,

Went for another fabulous breakfast today. It’s always bombed out on Sunday morning and it’s not surprising. We go for the eight item breakfasts. A straight run or combinations of eggs ,bacon ,sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms ,hash browns, beans and black pudding, plus two pieces of toast and butter, plus teas or coffees for £5.95 per person! What’s not to like?!

Had a quick visit and had some food, they have a deal where you get an 8 item breakfast + tea/coffee and toast for £5.99.... you choose what you want on the breakfast, only issue is if you’re like me and like your bacon you are only allowed 2 of each item, but even still all the food was good and arrived hot and didn’t cost the earth which some garden centres don’t grasp! Would definitely be coming again!

The conservatory is a lovely spot for your meal/snack, all the staff are very nice and pleasant. We have been coming here regularly for over two years and always had a brilliant meal both lunch and breakfast although over the last couple of breakfasts these have been poor as they have been overcooked.

Very busy on visit, maybe 'cos it was market day? Barman was rushed off his feet (ty for picking up my bus pass that I dropped), Had ham & eggs & a beer.

Recently changed management, at first the beer was excellent as usual, but unfortunately new barman is either not trained up to pull pints or doesn't care. Shame used to go in regularly as the beer was first class, unless this problem is rectified won't be 🤔😒😒
