Love this place. This place has a lovely vibe. All the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing, loads of vegetarian options! Will definitely return!

Really good little place. Was just looking for somewhere to stop for a quick bite while prowling around Bristol. Glad we hit on this place. Nice staff, tasty food and quick service. Not too pricey either.

Had the most amazing birthday at Brace and Browns, the team there couldn't have done more to give us the day we wanted, from sorting watching the six nations, to a delicious dinner followed by having the whole place for drinks and a party in the evening. Cannot recommend this place more - just fantastic and lovely staff.

We went for drinks only. Despite asking three times for a medium glass of white wine, the bartender poured out a large. She was a bit awkward when we pointed this out and poured most of it down the sink. Wine tasted cheap. Also ordered a latte which was tasty but came in a small expresso cup which made it an expensive cup of coffee. Came out having spent over £12 on 2 unsatisfactory drinks

When booking brunch or a large girls breakfast get together I always pick Brace and Browns as my first choice cos the bottomless offer is so fair, and the food is fantsatic!! I always really enjoy my visits, and the sweet corn fish. Absolutely delicious.

We were overall really disappointed with our experience. Food came quick and orders were taken promptly but out of ten tapas dishes we ordered between us, no one really liked any of them. Noticeably no one asked us how our food was when clearing the table so we didn’t have a chance to give feedback

The best bottomless we’ve been to in Bristol for ages! Phillip made sure we were well looked after, the food was lovely and the bottles were quickly replaced once empty. They also gave us pots of fruit purées to mix with the Prosecco and make our own Bellinis. Lush!!! Loved it, thank you!

We loved our brunch however I wouldn’t advise coming if you would like to hear each other because the DJ insisted on blasting music as loud as humanly possible in a very small terrace area. We were lucky with our lovely waitress who provided the best service and overall we had a great time

Myself and my friend came for what we thought to be a bottomless brunch at the weekend. The food was all lovely, great atmosphere and nice staff. However, we were under the impression based on the language of 'free flowing prosecco' on their website, the price of £35, and other experiences of bottomless brunch that we wouldn't be limited in the amount we drank. We had drunk 2 bottles and assumed we'd be able to fit another one in before the end of our booking but were told we had reached our limit as it was only 'one bottle per person'. We said to the waitress that this was not clear on the website or booking email and when she spoke to the manager they did then offer to top up our last glass, however it was quite disappointing. It perhaps needs to be made more explicit that this is the case, because (especially for a small party such as me and my friend), it was a surprise to hear our prosecco would be limited.

Oh my goodness, everything about this brunch was AMAZING!!!!! Harriet was the best hostess ever, making sure our Prosecco and water (it was a very hot day!) was topped up. And then Laura came aswell, and well… our day was complete. We’ve name Harriet and Laura, but all of the staff were absolutely fantastic and we genuinely had the best day EVER!!! Thank you SO much. Also, you get a surprise starter and dessert which we’re both insane!!!! I want to live this day every day! Come here! If it’s the last thing you do, come to BRACE AND BROWNS!

Incredible roast matched with next level service. The staff were attentive and enjoyable. We speak some Spanish and turns out they were Spanish too! The roast sizes are really large which is surprising as the quality is incomparable from anywhere else I’ve been in bristol. I had the pork which was like pulled pork that had been pressed, honest so delicious. Hard to beat, solid menu and service.

Went there for a "bottomless" brunch on Saturday. The starters and mains were good. My friend found a hair baked into her dessert which put her off finishing it even if it was promptly replaced when brought to the attention of a waiter. Also, we had checked the website and the menu the days before our brunch and there was no mention of the brunch not being bottomless and being limited to one bottle per person. It's not really okay to advertise it as a bottomless brunch when it's not...maybe "prosecco brunch" would be a more appropriate name. We brought that up with a waitress and she said she'd mention it to her manager but nothing was done about it. I've been to brace and browns for brunch a few times but I'm not sure I'll be returning after Saturday. Nice outdoor space though.

The best bottomless brunch for my friends 30th birthday just before lock down hit !! The food and service was amazing!! Couldn’t have been better! Dont be put off by the one bottle each - my group of friends are big drinkers and even we found it hard to finish the 4 bottles in the time we had!(we obviously gave it a good go though) couldn’t recommend this place enough

Visité aquí como una de nuestras primeras comidas después del cierre en agosto y lo pasamos muy bien. El personal de recepción fue muy amable y atento, incluso hizo todo lo posible para prepararnos una bebida que no estaba en el menú, lo que mostró un excelente servicio al cliente. Una gran selección de platos estilo tapas para compartir en el menú y también por un precio decente. Teníamos pollo frito con salsa de maíz dulce, flores de calabacín rellenas, caballa braseada con frijoles y aceitunas y algunos otros platos. El tamaño de las porciones era muy generoso y la comida muy sabrosa, la única crítica fue que las flores de calabacín estaban un poco grasosas. En general, una gran noche con comida sabrosa y un servicio increíble. Espero volver.

Hemos sido fanáticos de Brace & Browns durante años, pero ha pasado un tiempo desde que lo visitamos. Recomiendo encarecidamente la foccaccia de romero con baba ganoush, pollo frito con ensalada de repollo y salsa de maíz dulce, y la cebada perlada y calabaza con pesto de rúcula.Muchos de los platos son bastante parecidos: mucho maíz dulce y calabacín, ¡y todo cubierto de piñones! Genial si te gustan estos sabores (que a nosotros sí) pero no mucha variedad. ¡Sin embargo, no es un problema para nosotros!Hubo un par de problemas menores, pero no lo suficiente como para estropear la noche. I do NOT recommend..thanks to this restaurant RUINING my birthday meal... they were SHUT when I had a table for 4 booked . We turned up at 1pm on tues 10th March.. friends drove down from Wales and I drove up from Somerset. There was no message on the door saying why they were closed. I was using wowcher vouchers booked in advance. NOONE THERE! I tried calling them while I was standing outside and it went to answering machine. ....now wowcher are saying by printing the vouchers off they are classed as redeemed! I am livid. Despite leaving several messages on their phone my attempts to get a call back have been pointless I'm being ignored. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT

Came here for a 6 course lunch, wasn’t disappointed! The courses were small but tasty, we had the meat menu and was really well put together. The service was lovely and easy, the waitress was polite and patient. The best course was the date and earl grey sticky toffee pudding, wish it was bigger! We weren’t sure how filling it would be, but at the end we both were full and happy with the amount we had. We got the lunch on a wowcher deal, not sure it would have been worth paying full price but would definitely come back if we had another wowcher for it.

We had the tasting menu which had a good variety of interestingly different dishes all perfectly cooked. The fiero spritz and passion fruit bellini were also a little different.The service was very friendly and efficient. The lighting inside is a little bright which makes the restaurant look somewhat stark.

We booked prosecco brunch and the food was good. Service was friendly even though it was a little rushed. My main disappointment was a cramped table stuck under a large screen tv and a cold draft from the vent in the wall.

My Two friends and I came here for lunch, the service by lovely gentleman and other staff was brilliant. I had the best mussels in a long time and portion for lunch was just right. My friends enjoyed there lunch as much as I did.Not the cheapest place to eat for lunch, but you get what you pay for, wonderful. The atmosphere was lovely and so relaxing.

What a brilliant, fun, very memorable night celebrating our son’s 21st. We took over the entire upstairs restaurant and 42 of us had a great evening. The food was absolutely delicious , the service excellent and the venue (& location) perfect! Josh couldn’t have done more for us; attentive, very professional and keen to make our evening as fun & special as he could. I would highly recommend Brace & Browns for a 21st dinner. Was superb!!

This is a lovely venue, very welcoming and friendly and for me when there is a gluten free option on the menu I am very happy until that means they just whip off the Yorkshire pudding and stuffing and throw in cheese melted on cauliflower rather than it being cheese sauce. At such a renowned venue I would definitely expect them to be able to muster up a GF Yorkshire pudding et al.

Fantastic food and service from start to finish, the menu recommendations 2/3 dishes each I would say the portions are very generous so 3 dishes between 2 people would be enough.

I had the halloumi salad for lunch, it was unbelievably salty and otherwise flavourless, thankfully the portion was small portion but had the dish tasted nice, it certainly wouldn't have been worth the £7.50 price.

Visited with a group of 20+ on a Wednesday evening. We were located in the cellar room that suited us due to the large number. This is my third visit and food was amazing, service was great along with the staff approach. I will visit again.

Brilliant time, food was amazing drinks were poured continuously. Henry and Millie provided outstanding service and made sure they suited every one of our needs (15 of us) fantastic and would defiantly return!!

This place serves spectacular food and their style of delivery is great. Almost tapas but better portions. Every dish was great. We had the steak, sliders, chips and sea bass with various veggie ones too.

Late review but I just wanted to say the following... I don’t usually go out of my way to write reviews but I was served today by a member of your team, I believe her name was Ali. Hands down the best service I’ve ever experienced, not only was she polite and humourous, she was also completely oblivious so the level of talent she has at her disposal which is a quality I thoroughly enjoy. Will definitely be coming back purely because of her. The food was mediocre but because of her it was exceptional, the best meal I’ve ever had. Ask for Ali unless you’re a certified fool.

We had a lovely roast lunch. But... Didn't get asked if we wanted a drink etc for the first 20 minutes of sitting there. Then ordered our roast, it came and was very nice (taste and presentation). Then, it got very noisy with the arrival of a large hen party so we asked for the bill and it came, after a fashion. My friend paid first and was given her receipt. I paid my half and... The waitress just walked off! She didn't say thank you or goodbye. She hadn't asked if our food was okay... Nothing. I thought she was going inside to get my receipt. But she didn't come back. The guy who was working was friendly enough but zero engagement with anyone else. First time I've deliberately not tipped in as long as I can remember! Disappointing. Stars are for food, which was really good.

Had the prosecco brunch here. It was all beautifully laid up inside but because of the weather we sat outside. Great spot for people watching ! We were really well looked after with friendly service and bottles of prosecco were brought (rather than them topping up the glass). Prosecco was excellent quality and was thoughtfully seved with jugs of puree to make bellinis if you wished, and carafes of orange juice and water. We had a selection of picky bits as a starter, an excellent arancini, a lovely hummous topped tostada and a vegetable stuffed potato skin. All excellent. The main was divine - ham hock, summer bubble and squeak, poached egg and hollandaise, it was delicious. Pudding was nice but a little underwhelming - a small slice of sticky toffee which was a little dry in places and a delicious slice of poached pear. Would have been nice to have had a more summery pud - and a bit larger !

There were 14 of us who visited Brace and Browns for an early evening family celebration. What a great venue. The staff were very attentive, thank you David and Millie. The food was fantastic ( we had opted for the set menu) and all of our party had a great time.

Expectations were high as heard so many good reviews and so pleased it lived up to it. Really tasty, good quality food, generous refills and great service.

I have to say that this is the best Sunday Roast that I have had in Bristol. The food is awesome, the presentation of the plates is very nice, the quantity of food in each plate is a lot and the service is really good. I am going to repeat for sure more than once!!!!

Stopped here on a whim whilst walking home and was not disappointed, this place does a superb roast dinner the pictures so it all. Sit in or outside depending on availability, I recommend booking we were lucky the first time round, this place is popular.

Estaba lloviendo ese día y pasamos la mayor parte de la mitad de la hora empapándonos tratando de encontrar un restaurante alternativo, ya que no queríamos prosecco sin fondo (todo lo que se ofrecía) estábamos hambrientos y muchos restaurantes ya estaban completos. Solo fuimos la séptima mesa que se rechazó debido a su falta de comunicación. Tenían mi número de teléfono, ¿un mensaje de texto o una llamada hubiera sido realmente tan difícil?

Went here for the first time as we had an offer and were very pleasantly surprised. Lovely atmosphere, decor and service. The food was delightful, large portions and very well cooked. Reasonably priced house wine, tasty cocktails. Will definitely be visiting again.

Very disappointed at both the food standards dropping along with the customer service levels. Our waitress was rude to us from the moment we sat down. The food wasn’t as nice as previous visits. Such a shame.

Been here twice for the bottomless brunch and its relaly good value for money - you get 3 courses and also they bring you bottles instead of just fill up your glsses. the waiters/waitresses are really nice and friendly and don't mind when you get a bit... drunk. haha they were really nice.

Attended on Saturday during their prosecco brunch. I didn’t feel 100% so decided not to drink, which wasn’t a problem at all for them even tho I let them know at last minute. Usually I’ve found ya other restaurants that when you’re having prosecco brunch the food is pretty average, however, this was definitely not the case at brace and browns. I had wild mushrooms in truffle and garlic on savoury French toast with a poached egg on top, and it was incredible. Considering this is my favourite brunch option it had a high standard to me and it absolutely did so. The only disappointing factor was that I was too full to finish it! So I don’t advice having porridge at 8am if you’re going to be eating here at 12:30.

This is a great place to go for Sunday lunch, particularly if you're gluten intolerant like me. Food is high quality and very generous in terms of portion sizes. Wine list is mediocre and service, although welcoming and friendly, can be on the slow side. Nevertheless, the standard of food is worth the wait.

Really nice welcome on arrival and drinks service excellent throughout the meal. We had pre ordered as a large group. I had the scallops which were delicious, the duck and noodles which was excellent and the poached pear was yummy! Highly recommend as a dinner venue.

Sublime 5 course taster menu. Really relaxed atmosphere with considerate staff. Would definitely go again.

Booked Sunday lunch at Brace and Browns expecting something special, but found it rather hit and miss. We arrived, were shown immediately to our table and promptly served. I had the roast rump of beef and my partner the lamb. We did not have long to wait and the food came well presented, but some components were good, some average, and some bad. The carrots, leaks and gravy were fine. The beef was nice and pink, but a little tough. The lamb was a disappointment; some slices were cooked just right, but one piece was simply raw! The roast potatoes were frankly terrible; so hard that they could not be cut! They were definitely procooked and kept warm, which also made them taste stale. I understand that they cannot always be just out of the oven, but at 1pm on a Sunday afternoon they should be infinitely better.

We went to Brace and Brown for Sunday Lunch and had a table booked for 1330.

A group of 21 came to Brace and Browns to celebrate a couple of years of winning quizzes. We'd decided we wanted to have a bottomless brunch and despite the many offerings for this in Bristol, Brace and Browns was the original so we thought we'd go there.

We went here on a Friday night it wasn’t to busy and we had good service. The food was well cooked, I had the steak medium rare and it actually came medium rare! We had the dirty fries and they where really nice crispy chips and not greasy at all which can happen some times. So all in all a really good meal.

We were lucky enough to get a table here at short notice after missing our booking elsewhere and I am so glad we did!!! We had the bottomless brunch and the food and Prosecco were amazing! Perfectly sized portions of food and the steak and crabcakes tasted incredible! The starters were also delicious, the mac & cheese balls were to die for! Staff were amazing, very friendly and super speedy, they kept us topped up with Prosecco the entire time without us having to ask once and it was nice having the syrups and orange juice on the side too. Just perfect! 10/10 - can’t wait to come back sometime!

Popped in for lunch and had the beef from the lunch menu. Fantastic food at an excellent price. Highly recommend.

Have been a few times for Sunday lunch and never been disappointed

Popped in here on spur of the moment on a visit to Bristol and were made very welcome. A high standard of service with a very friendly staff. Quality of Sunday lunch was superb and really well presented. Would go back in a flash.

Lovely service from the waitress, I think her name was Imogen (I was eavesdropping). Dirty chips were dirty and tasty. Would eat/drink again :)

Fuimos para el asado del domingo, fue decepcionante, Veg era pobre, parecía que las zanahorias se habían dejado en la sartén durante siglos, el queso de coliflor estaba frío y no sabía cuál era el punto de los chips de chirivía. Ambos tenían la carne que estaba bien, pero muy raro.

Al llegar, nos encontramos con un restaurante vacío que debería habernos dado una pista ya que era una noche de viernes a las 745 pm. Después de 10 minutos se llenó de estudiantes en el bar. El ruido era inevitable y apenas podíamos oírnos hablar. La camarera se acercó y dimos nuestra orden de bebidas. La camarera regresó para tomar el pedido de comida, pero no sabía nada de lo que había en el menú hasta el punto de irse a preguntar. Era obvio que ella era nueva en su trabajo, pero tal vez debería haber sido entrenada para descubrir lo que viene con las comidas principales, etc. La polenta combinada y empapada. Lo devolvimos después de invitar al Gerente a probar este misterioso polvo en el lado del plato que no sabía a nada. Ella era complaciente hasta el punto de tomar la comida vegetariana de la cuenta, pero hace una buena noche de marzo cuando tienes que quejarte.
