Myself and my family visited three times last week, once for dinner and twice for morning coffee. Nice conservatory area and welcoming staff. Good menu and nice coffee. Relatively quiet and Covid-19 seems to have hit the hotel quite hard so deserves support.

We have just come home from the best hospitality ever at a function. From start to finish Stephen and his team went the extra mile to perfect our stay. The venue is stunning. Housekeeping immaculate. Food was 10/10 But most importantly, the staff were outstanding.from reception to waiting staff they are superb,I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this beautiful hotel for weddings or functions. Gave this a great review two years ago as there was a great selection of starters, main course and sweets. So different this YEAR!!! Food seemed to be rationed, with very little choice, I am vegitarian and allergic to mushrooms so I thought I would have a selection of veg ro choose from not just cauliflower, potatoes and carrots. When it came to sweets it was one small slice of cheesecake when I asked for a peice of chocolate cake I was told it was one slice per person so no chocolate cake for me......Would not class this a a buffet. and certainly will not be back. Not worth the money!

We had a wonderful lunch here on Sunday. There were 8 of us eating and the waiters could not have been more obliging or attentive.We really enjoyed the meal.

Just been to an organised event here and have to say I was I seriously impressed with the food we had for dinner.Homemade Lentil soup just like gran used to make, none of the thin watery stuff this was a fabulous bowl of soup very tasty and hearty.Steak pie was excellent best I have eaten in a long time, kudos to the chef its not easy catering for over 200 and getting it spot on.Will defo be back here to sample the menu in their restaurant.

Decided I fancied a pint and thought yeh why not so went into the bothwell bridge hotel For one ... the staff were lovely and the beer was nice . I’ll be back

Had our daughter and son-laws wedding on the 18th May in the Bothwell Bridge and can honestly say it was simply stunning from start to finish. Venue was so beautiful and elegant. Food outstanding and staff fantastic especially Stephen who was wonderful the whole day and treated us like royalty. Everyone who shared our day had such a wonderful time and a truly magical experience. Highly recommend the Bothwell Bridge to anyone planning a wedding.

From my first meeting with Mark to leaving the hotel the day after my daughter’s wedding he stepped up to the mark and then exceeded every expectation in making sure every tiny detail was covered and then some! The venue was stunning even before we added our personal touches. The staff were fantastic from check in the day before the wedding until departure the following day. The food was outstanding and the service was second to none. I wouldn’t only recommend future brides to book this hotel, I would also recommend any bride who has booked their wedding elsewhere to consider foregoing any deposit they have paid and rebook this venue as you would not regret this (and I’m one who does not believe in wasting money!).Every single one of our guests have already commented how stunning this venue was which has made all our planning so worth every second. OUTSTANDING !!’

Stayed here for 2 nights. Was a pleasant enough stay the highlight of which was the Scottish breakfast absolutely delicious. Business amenities are basic but acceptable and the lounge is decent too

Lovely hotel restaurant quite good service is good and a great place for meetings and overnight stays and plenty of places in the village for steaks or Italian restaurant etc

The New Year BALL is just absolutely FABULOUS from the time we checked in ,the room was so inviting a good size also well decorated the bed was VERY comfortable, we went down stairs to the Ball room for Hogmany dinner it was so nice can't fault it at all, the entertainment was first class and afterwards the music just FABULOUS VALUE FOR MONEY,,we WILL BE BACK

I recently booked a funeral tea in the hotel's restaurant for 50 people. The lentil soup and steak pie option were both excellent and they catered for vegetarians and children without any problem.

We had dinner in Martalo’s Restaurant inside hotel. Food was fantastic. We ordered And we had breakfast there and tried Scottish breakfast. The one I liked most was potato scones. :)

Stayed in this hotel on a business trip to Scotland.

My husband and I had an overnight stay here with dinner and breakfast. The room was large and comfortable and had everything we needed. Although there was a Prom on that night the restaurant wasn't too busy. The food and service was great. Breakfast was buffet style and lovely too. We would definitely stay here again.

Thank you to Mark and the guys at the Bothwell Bridge, you had 2 weddings on and still made us feel special, absolutely no hesitation in getting us a large table at the last minute on Friday night; rearranging the place to fit 12 to 18 of us in. You even managed to get the rain off for a couple of hours on Saturday so that we could get some awesome pics.

Lovely lunch in the bar area. Waiters especially Darren very attentive and can't do enough for you. Will be back soon!

Four friends visited here for dinner on a fairly busy Saturday evening. The service was average at best and the food was well below average. This was a poor experience and we will not return.

I'll explain that title very quickly - the potential for this restaurant to really glow is there! The service was attentive, friendly and efficient. However, the cooking was somewhat mixed - a good for example was the difference experienced by myself and my colleague over one particular starter - the deep fried mozzarella. Mine was cooked on the outside ok, but barely heated on the inside. I eat it as I'm ok with cold mozzarella & salad, but wouldn't have chosen it again as it wasn't what I was expecting. the following night, my colleague asked me my opinion of the dish as she fancied it for her starter, so I related my experience. When the Waiter took the order, we pointed to this and Lo & Behold, the dish was perfectly cooked with the cheese soft, hot and stringy as it should be. So, there is nothing wrong with the skillset in the kitchen, just the attention to detail? I kinda got that there was a lack of passion in the food, which was a shame as the ingredients were definitely of good quality - I'll leave it there..

The staff were helpful in the restaurant and there was a good choice on the menu. All the food I had at dinner and breakfast was well cooked and appetising.

We went for a family lunch a few weeks ago and found the service to be cheery enough, but the food was distinctly average - my lasagne was definitely reheated rather than cooked fresh, so the pasta was soggy and the overall taste was bland. Burgers were marginally better though.

Since the refurb the decor is very nice and the bar area is cosy and welcoming.

My husband and I treated my Mum and her friend to a 2 course lunch for 2 at the Bothwell Bridge Hotel. They had a lovely day from the superb surroundings, great atmosphere and food plus staff excellent.Would highly recommend this. Looking forward to visiting again.Enjoy. Lesley Murray

Stayed here on business. Reception staff very efficient. Bar area swish and inviting. BUT the bedroom and bathroom are very dreary and on need of immediate upgrade. I will not return in a hurry.

My Wife & I decided it would be a treat to go out for Christmas Dinner this year, instead of all the work involved in staying at home.

I stayed here for one night initially after spending time in a variety of local hotels. Bothwell Bridge is really pleasant, clean and welcoming with a great breakfast in the morning. Negotiated a good rate based on a regular weekly stay as well which was much appreciated.

As a family we were in the bar and ordered food unfortunately the food was terrible

Hotel side of things you couldnt find fault with some of the rooms look a bit on the tired side but on the whole great staff nothing to much trouble But what lets them down is the resturant the service was slow to say the least may be the sheff couldnt cope with having weddings at the same time.

The service in this hotel restaurant was very poor to say the least. There was no communication between the chef and front of house staff. Just after we arrived and were seated our drinks order was taken, ten minutes later our food order was taken, 55 minutes later our "food" was served, on cold plates. You do not serve hot food on cold plates, any competent chef should know this. The "food" was mediocre to say the least and not very warm. Three out of the 5 meals were, for the most part, cold. As someone else was paying the bill, I could not say very much. I will not be going back there and would not recommend this place to anyone. I have had better service in MacDonalds.

The hotel and restaurant look splendid and we came in for a bar meal however being late we were directed to the impressive restaurant area in the conservatory. The set menu was well priced and the a la carte prices were high. I had a starter that had the look of and tasted defrosted and then we waited, waited and waited some more although the staff numbers seemed more than adequate for the relatively few people present.

We recently visited the restaurant to celebrate my fathers 80th Birthday.

I and my friends are regular customers to the lounge bar and have nothing but praise for the bar staff, especially Darren who is always attentive, professional and welcoming. Our visits are usually mid morning for coffees. The lounge bar is very comfortable and spacious providing a range of seating arrangements - booths, settees, tables and chairs in the conservatory area and outdoor seating in good weather.

Stayed for 3 nights (group of 11). Service was excellent in all departments - nothing was too much trouble. Food was good both at breakfast and dinner, with restaurant staff particularly courteous and helpful. Only small negative was the lack of air-con since it was quite warm during our stay.

We had booked lunch for a party of 28. It was the bar menu. After more than 30min someone took our drinks order. Then the food order. It took another hour before the food was served. The crisps were soggy the chips were cold and someone was given only 2 quarters of sandwiches. When I told people who sat down at the next table our atory I was reprimanded by Antonio the waiter saying we were a large party. Poor food and shockingly bad service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Nice hotel, we came in for dinner, quality and choice was great and offered vegetarian and vegan choices. Staff were professional and attentive. A pleasant evening

Not as good as it used to be a few years ago. In need of refurbishment. Atmosphere diabolical. Staff hardly in the same room.

Largish hotel right in the heart of Bothwell, ample parking and the bar area has been refurbished and looks good, other parts of the hotel are still old fashioned and could do with an upgrade. Bar staff were really friendly and service was excellent

The quality and cooking of the food was poor and some of the items on the plate were less than hot. Breakfast food was cold and when given a poached egg, it was the consistency of a rubber ball.

Evening meal very good. New take on mixed grill went down a treat. Cheese board was unusual but again very tasty. Lots of beers and wines all served by Scottish 🇮🇹 staff.

Nice room, well appointed, very clean, décor was a little tired but offered excellent value for money.

Party night here was great, hall is stunning food was good especially as catering for many people will Deff go back

We had a lovely overnight stay in this hotel, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was spotless and very spacious.

We booked an overnight stay for my daughters 16th birthday and had her party in a lovely well presented function room all big thanks to Stelios! The food was a 10 star rating and well served, we had an amazing night and will remember the wonderful memories in the bothwell bridge hotel!

I can only comment on lunches at this hotel other than a couple of weddings I attended here.

Visited here with family. I was pleasantly surprised. It is very nicely decorated and clean. The service was good and food good. Will return.

I've stayed here before but, I never reviewed it. Very nice hotel with breakfast included... The restaurant provides lovely food , the staff are polite and courteous. The rooms are clean and functional. The bar and restaurant are a bit expensive but, the food is fabulous and the bar sells my favourite beers.

Pie baked to plate, dry meat, unidentifiable pastry, vegetables terrible. No choice of starter, no cheese in hotel! Over priced average wine

Parfaitement situé à proximité de Glasgow et base potentielle pour de nombreuses expéditions à travers l'Ecosse, cet hotel ne pêche que par l'organisation de soirées festives bruyantes pour des mariages et autres occasions. Le personnel y est serviable et attentionné, m'étant plaint du bruit, j'ai immédiatement été changé de chambre et installé dans une chambre silencieuse à l'arrière de l'hotel. Les chambres sont très honnêtes et de bonne qualité. Les repas au restaurant de l'hotel sont d'excellente facture. Un conseil, lors de votre réservation, demandez une chambre sans bruit à l'arrière de l'hotel.

Service and cuisine at this hotel were excellent! Started with the salad with wood pigeon breast, followed with stuffed chicken breast as the main entrée accompanied by server selected robust red wine and finished with fresh raspberry cheese cake and cappuccino! Simply outstanding service throughout the meal.
