Having struggled to order a vegetarian ploughman's sandwich (pickles as far as I'm aware are vegetarian), we came to pay. Imagine my surprise to find that we were charged for mayonnaise on the very small side salads. When this was queried I was told this had always been the case. Strangely enough it hasn't happened in our previous 6 or 7 visits- including our visit 3 weeks ago. It was quite an embarrassing conversation in front of other customers and I was made to feel small. The other customers seemed a little confused and taken aback about how we were spoken to. In future we shall vote with our feet and go elsewhere.

Went in to collect some paint from the gift shop and had a Starbucks drink with me. I decided to sit down and have something to eat. A grumpy owner (male) said itâs not Starbucks in here mate and you canât drink it. Terrible attitude from him to a customer who had bought something and goes there regularly. Not anymore

Arrived early for a trip to the Thames Forts with X-Pilot so we called in Bosuns for coffee and cake. Good selection and the brownie and blondie that we chose were delicious.

Following a recommendation, my partner and I visited Bosuns on Saturday, July 1st, during a visit to Queenborough. We were given a very warm welcome, enjoyed a pot of tea for two and a freshly made sausage roll each. The tea was excellent (two cups each) and the sausage rolls were among the biggest that we have ever enjoyed. At our request, they were heated and they were absolutely delicious. We intend to return this coming Saturday, July 8th and will probably reserve a table because Bosuns is a small place. It is exceptionally clean and the toilet facility was spotless. A very good experience: the Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and we recommend that you try this establishment. Denis and Theresa.

Food good, although bread was nice and fresh, there was no butter/margarine on it so made the sandwich dry, came with side salad but there was no fork to eat it with They don't seem to cater for anyone with a disability, fairly high steps to get in(3) Toilet very small so difficult to move round in with walking stick

Myself and my husband really enjoyed ourselves here at the cafe, the staff are absolutely lovely, welcoming and friendly too! đ The food is also really delicious here, I had the soup of the day which was really nice and you could definitely tell it was homemade! The coffees tasted very good quality and my husband had the starbar brownie and he also really enjoyed his sweet treat. I never visited this cafe prior but now I know I will be coming here often đ„° the gift shop they have in their cafe is so cute!! đ I literally love everything they sell! It's a great idea to stop off for lunch and then afterwards to have a little look around in the mini shop. Have not got one bad thing to say about this place but have to say its probably one of my favourite cafes I have visited locally so far! đ„°đ

Seafood sandwiches. My husband and I visited lunchtime on my birthday for seafood sandwiches. I specifically asked before ordering if there were any prawns in the sandwiches and the reply was âoh yes, someâ! However on examination there were none at all, just the slither of crab stick amongst the seafood sauce. My husband had just 2 minuscule shrimps amongst his sauce, he named them âmeal wormsâ! I pointed this out to the owner who assured me they were freshly made every morning and were in the mix somewhere!!! I replied by saying they obviously dropped to the bottom of the mix of which I missed out on. I paid up and left very disappointed!!

Lovely little tea room we stumbled upon after an afternoon of crabbing with our 11year old. had lots of teas and coffees to choose from along with fresh made cakes, scones, etc. It's small but does not feel crampt. also sells some lovely things too - we will be back again to have a cream tea next time!

Unfortunately this cafe is not toddler friendly. Visited with a toddler and was made to feel unwelcome and an inconvenience. No high chairs available, buggies not allowed due to the small cafe size inside and as my toddler wouldnât remain on my lap, I stood up with him for a moment and was told that i was not allowed to stand up in the cafe due to health and safety of hot drinks being carried. This cafe looks lovely for couples and families with older children but due to the small size is not suitable for buggies/young children.

We were really looking forward to revisiting this café but this time it was disappointing. Most tables were reserved but we sat at one as we had an hour or so's grace. However we waited ages to get served so moved after one table finished. After ordering we waited a long time again to actually get served with a pot of tea and didn't get told for another 10 minutes or so they'd run out of scones. They'd been a display dish full of them when we'd actually ordered but they'd been sold! Decided to leave and go elsewhere. Quite a limited menu if you don't want sandwiches or pastry.

We often pop in for a lovely cup of tea with an excellent slice of something. In fact, the dog, Rosie, will not walk by without going in! Highly recommend for the excellent and friendly service.

Me, my mum and two of my children visited this morning after a walk along the harbour. And Iâm so glad we did! It is beautiful inside, so welcoming and staff were smiley and friendly. Fresh cakes were being baked and brought out, the scone was fresh and still warm. I had a white chocolate and caramel Blondie (Oh my goodness, divine). My children had a cupcake each, lemon frosting and one was chocolate. There was such a huge choice of sweet treats and savoury. From wraps, to sandwiches and sausages rolls. There were fresh flowers on the table with sugar cubes and a mini easel with our table number. A real seaside town vibe, it was just lovely. I left there with a real feel good feeling, I just enjoyed it so much and canât wait to bring other family members and friends here. Thank you for having us â€ïž

On a winters day with the fire lit you feel as if you have gone back in time.. I really like the place except you can't get to the place easily if it's raining as there are huge pot holes in the car p
