Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the BTP today. Food and customer service excellent. First time at this branch of BTP - would recommend and will come again when next in Taunton.

Fantastic food as always; it never disappoints! Tried some new stuff, really enjoyed it. Waitress really smiley and friendly (Mia) and barista friendly too (TJ). Mango Lassi was amazing!!!!

Very pleasant time eating here, needed a quick place to fuel up during my busy day and this absolutely satisfied it. This spot located in the centre of town is one of the best breakfast spots in taunton. We ordered the boss breakfast and it did not disappoint. Staff were exceptional, we were well looked after by our lovely waitress Georgia so special shout out to her. Lovely fast service, will be back

Wow…absolutely diabolical service that has shown this company doesn’t care about loyal customers. Having come to this place regular and other branches over time today I had the worst takeaway service. My partner ordered a vegan muffin to have it arrive take a bite to find it contained an egg. He attempted to call the restaurant but after no answer he drove into town to resolve this in person. The manager was shocking…he accused him of planting the egg in there himself to get free food and to make matters worse the chef came out telling him to eat around it. When you pay for food you expect it to be correct and when mistakes are made you would think you would have an apology at the least not accusations. Yes BTP my partner planted an egg in it and then thought he would drive in to claim the food back…that’s exactly what we like to get up to on a Monday morning. Seriously this company needs to grow up, own their mistakes and compensate their customers accordingly. It doesn’t matter if it’s a preference religious or non religious or a food allergy. If you’re wrong you’re wrong! You don’t accuse the customer and treat them like that.

Breakfast was barely warm and dry. Microwaved eggs with no seasoning. No real service either, order online etc but nobody asked how our food was so we just ate it quickly! It’s a shame, it used to be great. Some serious thinking to do as it’s pretty expensive and not any better than a local greasy spoon. A nice coffee the only plus point. Also they have the cheek to try to flog a dish of brown sauce for £2!!

Our family call this BTP the Violet Elizabeth Bott ('Just William') as when it's good it's very good but when it's bad it's awful. Ive only ever experienced the awful. My son and his children come here a lot but I jinx the place as every time I've been it's been a trial. I took the children here at their request for an end-of-holidays lunch and it was a pain from start to finish. Physically disabled customers - just go elsewhere. There's no lift. There is a downstairs disabled toilet but the downstairs seating is limited so those with buggies or physical need vie for space. In the 5 or so times I've visited, I've only managed to sit downstairs twice. Up and down a huge staircase with a dodgy knee - groan. THEN you're supposed to find your table number and tell them it when you place your order DOWNSTAIRS. So back down the damned stairs AGAIN with the children... I was ready to scream. The children had pancakes with blueberries and enjoyed it, but I had salmon with avocado & scrambled eggs and it was just woeful. The scrambled eggs were dry and the portions of each ingredient paltry - at a cost of £12.40. And the coffee was lukewarm by the time it arrived at the table. Insult to injury. I know it was a fairly busy day but we were early for lunch so surely within comfortable staffing parameters. I rarely give a bad review - everybody has a bad day, so I celebrate successes when somewhere has them. However, I find the ethos and setup of this BTP jarring and I've never had a good experience there. Their focus is system-friendly, not customer-friendly - and certainly not disabled customer friendly.

We were visiting the Town and looking for a place for lunch. Have used BTP before, so we gave it a try. Very large premises, both downstairs and upstairs. You could either order at the Counter or through the QR code at the table - the QR would not connect, so we ordered at the Counter. Ordered 2 x Toasties, Cheese & Branston pickle, with fries. Didn't take long for the order to arrive - fries were fine, but the Toasties were more pickle than anything else - could only find the smallest amount of Cheese with loads of pickle, which made it sickly-sweet - we left it. I mentioned it to the Staff, they apologised, but did nothing else. Very disappointed visit to BTP.

I think this was one of the worst value for money breakfasts I have ever had. First of all I admit that noticing that scrambled eggs were standard, which zi really don’t like. When zi mentioned it to the waiter he advised that could have had then M poached zi pointed out that no- one has mentioned this to me. Anyway, the Bos Breakfast itself consisted of a portion of Luke warm scrambled egg, one pork sausage, one and a bit small rashers of bacon, 1 small pice of John’s pudding, one small, and totally tasteless flat mushroom, a sizeable quantities of baked beans and four, already buttered, supermarket slices of brown bread. This was nicely finished by a very small, one ply serviette. A dreadful experience that zi won’t be repeating.

We called here for a drink and snack on market day. The bacon sandwich was OK if a little over grilled, our drinks were OK and the staff were pleasant and welcoming. We did not like what happened next; a customer with 2 dogs came into the restaurant, the waitress welcomed the customer and dogs which jumped up and put their paws on the counter. The waitress then fussed the dogs by stroking and hand feeding them. The customer made a purchase and left with her dogs. The waitress then went through to the kitchen area and returned with a bundle of cutlery which she then dried and placed into a cutlery box. We have no idea if the waitress washed her hands after hand feeding and stroking the dogs. The restaurant has a hygiene rating of 4 out of 5. Room for improvement! Feeding and fondling dogs and then handling customer food and utensils is quite disgusting. This is not the sort of restaurant we would ever visit again and suggest the manager of Boston Tea Party group prioritises food hygiene when staff training.

An excellent brunch ,I had the breakfast muffin with sausage,egg & bacon and hash brown & latte coffee.absolutely delicious. Readers if you are in Taunton & hungry try one ,beats the McDonald’s one hands down

We ate here for lunch just needed something quick so opted for a flatwhite and the salt beef muffin. Both come in good time and both good quality, muffin was very tasty. Staff efficient and the place was clean and tidy. Good access and easy to get to in a central location.

With the Market being closed in town, we decided to give this a try. Haven’t been here for over a year, as we didn’t have a good experience last time. However… this time it was amazing! All the staff were lovely and running around keeping on top of everything. Drinks were lovely and the food was amazing! Salt beef Hash was mouth watering. We’ll be back again soon!

After a busy shopping experience, hubby and I needed some refreshments so tried some brunch here. It wasn't busy, so we went upstairs and used the online ordering service at the table. I had the new salt beef hash and my husband had scrambled eggs and bacon. Food arrived quickly with drinks first and I can recommend the beef hash. Service is always with a smile. Would definitely go again
