The basque cheesecake was really good not something you see often. Also the Almond croissant was so good it came with a sweet filling (which I think was frangipane). Only regret was I should have bought 2 almond croissants lol

£10 for 4 hot cross buns to then bring home and they were hard. Never again daylight robbery

Popped in for cup of tea - proper tea leaves in a tea pig - mmmmm Shared a croissant- hazelnut praline...light as a feather and more than delicious. All goods baked in their sister shop and delivered daily. Totally recommend !!!!

We love Bostock! We always do takeaway; it's one of the few places in North Berwick that isn't Dog Friendly so we take our pastries and sit outside usually. It's also got limited tables and when it's busy, they are right next to the long queue so that can impact the atmosphere. For 5 star service I'd probably love the staff to recommend more things, we stick to the usuals and if they are out of stock we just don't have and there's not much interaction with the staff. But all in all, it's not worth missing; the food is exceptional. The bread is wonderful.

YUM. Everything we had was excellent. The shop itself is quite small and got busy due to there being limited space to wait to be served, but I cannot fault the food. Will definitely return for more.

I've wanted to go here for a long, long time. Thankfully I stayed in NB for 3 nights and got to indulge as much as possible. I'm a cafe/bakery/patisserie addict (and a pastry chef) and this place is heaven. Too much choice really. If you think the items look good it's hard to describe how that doesn't even do them justice - everything is perfectly made, perfectly balanced and a dream to eat. The flavours are knock out. I'll be thinking of the hazelnut praline cruffin forevermore. I'd move to North Berwick to live closer to Bostock.

Some of the best sourdough ever tasted and also very light but still great crust. Pastries looked awesome also.

Popped in for a tasty donut takeaway, lady was very off-hand and donuts very overpriced at £2.89 each ! Yes I bought 3 as I thought I may go up in a puff of smoke if I refused ny purchase 🧙‍♂️

Got heavily overexcited by its eponymous nature… on enquiring as to whether that was also the name of the owner… I was as devastated as Homer Simpson on his visit to the Matsumura Fishworks and Tamaribuchi Heavy Manufacturing Concern… turns out that my fish bulb is a frangipani-y, syrupy, brioche. But I digress… Staff friendly and offered some advice on things to do in the town for the day. Bougier spot than I was expecting in North Berwick, but it had good vibes, tasty pastries and hot coffee.

This business does not accept cash which is outregous. This is discriminatory and illegal to refuse people to pay by cash. It deserves a closer look by authorities as this business should be dealt with on the grounds of discrimination. I saw burnt loaves of bread as well, all of them and never tried their cakes, their coffee was small and just average taste but expensive. I will not go there again and do not recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to be refused service cause he or she does not carry their bank card. I want to remind the owner that cash is a legal way of payment in UK.

Greatest pâtisserie in the country / world.

Maybe we hit this place on a bad day? Maybe the person making the coffee was new? Maybe they were closing up shop for the day? Maybe the person who was cajoling them for more hot oat milk put them off? But. The coffees we were served here were poor. In fact, they were really poor. Ordered a flat white and a mocha. Both were essentially hot milk, one having chocolate in it. Worst coffee I've had in years. On the plus side - the donut and the filled muffin were out. of. this. world. The jam inside the donut was a particular highlight for me. Both absolutely divine. Worth the journey alone. My advice? Get the cakes here, but go elsewhere for coffee.

Bakery with delicious selection of breads and pastries. Would definitely recommend the savoury brioche. Coffee was good too. Staff are really friendly and polite. A must go to in North Berwick! :)

Popped in for a flat white, I won't be using this business again!! There are so many cafes in North berwick and would suggest using one that is much friendlier and better coffee Had ordered a flat white priced on the menu board at £2.64, when charged £2.77 I quizzed the young girl....her smug reply was "The priced had gone up today and its only 13p" and that was that. I suggested they should change the hand written price board to reflect the actual price. Her manner was dreadful tossing me a business card and smuggly suggested I should call the manager to complain as l just work here!!. Called the manager who stated they were just too busy to change it, but they certainly had the time to change the price increase on their POS system There are many cafes on the High Street and I would suggest using any other place than this one, coffee was mediocre and not worth the price tag for an extremely small coffee

Lovely selection of amazing pastries. Gorgeous looking pastries tempt you in, it's so hard to choose which to try. We had coffees and Hazlenut praline Cruffin and Almond Bostock croissant. Delicious. Not much seating, so definitely not guaranteed a sit down. Can takeaway tho. Very friendly service

Worth the 90 min drive from Glasgow! Loved the bakes. Had the cardamon and cinnamon knot a d the twice baked almond croissant! The basque cheesecake and coffee was great too! And I loved that there was stuff for takeaway (loaves, bagels, etc) alongside bags of coffee and hot sauces and other little items!

At Bostock you can find an extremely high quality bakery products. Whether you go for a pastry or a bread loaf, you won't be disappointed at all 😋

Wonderful little bakery and possibly one of the best decaf mochas I have ever had the privilege to taste. Amazing. Great selection of baked goods which you would expect. There are not a lot of seats inside but perfect for a takeaway treat.

Popped in on spec for late breakfast. Cheesey croissant was good, bagel with miso aubergine was very good, and the almond croissant & cruffin were both absolutely fantastic! I now feel shortchanged with every almond croissant I have ever had!

Love the food, but not always a good experience buying from them. A man in front of me was refused the use of the loo just because he was taking away (very unfair). Then I didn't have use of my card and so only had cash. Then got refused because they are still card only.

Sold out of soup and savouries as usual at 2pm … same for east Linton - why not make more / always people being turned away - people make the journey here and so often disappointed- 6 people waiting to be served and I staff member serving whilst other one toasted herself a bagel and went through back

One of the best bakeries I've been to in the UK. The pain au chocolate was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Look at that lamination. The flavour was nutty and delicious and packed with chicolate. It was seriously one of the best I've had this year. I also bought a pecan pie and salted caramel brownie (not pictured) and devoured them. Very decent quality goods here and nice service. If I lived nearby I'd be there all the time!

A perfect stop to refuel while exploring North Berwick! The twice baked almond croissants. The pecan tart is a true show stopper. The cruffin is sinful - we went back for more! A pretty cafe where you can sit and gaze at the array of freshly baked goods .

Good products and cute place but they have no wc for clients. I could understand if they were only a bakery but they run also a coffee, so it's not acceptable.

Be aware, they do not accept "CASH", so we had to leave.

Only popped in to grab something before my train. Super cute little cafe, it is a tad expensive but so worth it for the quality. Hands down, the best doughnut ive had, very light and fluffy and the raspberry filling was perfect. Definitely worth a visit

Can't comment on the goods as left without purchasing anything due to the poor attitude of the staff. Staff very cold, snobby and stand offish. Very unpleasant and rude atmosphere made us leave. No matter how good the cakes I don't accept rudeness especially when there should be customer service!! Croissants did look overdone and were a very dark shade of brown.

Lovely bakery. Admittedly, it's not the cheapest but everything is top quality so it's totally worth it. I highly recommend the oat porridge bread and the sunflower linseed loaf. Also the lemon cake and brownies are delicious. My sister declared the coffee the best in North Berwick.

Excellent croissants and pastries. All freshly baked, light as air and delicious. Special thank you to the kind and attentive member of staff who has ran out to catch me after I left my bag in the cafe.

A game of two halves ! Our first visit there was a guy serving on his own and the transaction did not go that well ! With a few tutts and frowns due to his own miss understanding by not listening ! However he did apologise in the end. On the second visit the guy was not about and there were two friendly lady’s in the shop. Nice pastry’s and nice coffee. I think shop owners need to realise when you charge a premium price for a nice product people go it for nice coffee and nice food but if the customer service is poor people won’t go back. We always go back to see if it was a one off. This time the polite girls/ women redeemed the shop from Mr Grumpy.

Very dark, dingy and expensive. Everything looked overbaked and there wasn't even a choice of cup size for tea, it was small or nothing. My overriding impression of the shop was brown, just brown!!

The sea salt caramel brownie is incredible - huge slice!!!! Our pastries were nice too. Everything smelt and looked delicious. Service was warm and friendly.

Delicious custard and raspberry jam donut, they would be amazing combined too! Yummy coffee, mellow and smooth. Also had a tasty savoury croissant option. One constructive critique, if this counts!...the donuts could actually have less filling, I reckon the balance between dough and filling would be nicer with a bit less (although they are sooo tasty). Wish we had a bakery like this in our home town!

Recently I have moved to the area and went to see what they had after reading the reviews. However when I got there nothing at all in the shop that was available if your a veggitarian. Very disappointing given the fact most places sell at least one thing.

If your visiting North Berwick you have to taste the amazing breads and cakes. Lovely shop, great selection of products. It can be busy early morning with a queue in the street but it's definitely worth the wait.

Excellent produce from this bakery. The porridge sourdough is fantastic and some of the pastries are as big as your head. The bostocks are amazing and the coffee is great 👍 We are dropping in every time we are there, working our way through the baked goods and bringing the bread home. The staff are very helpful and efficient too. In some ways I'm just glad we don't live closer as we would be in every day 🤣

One of the best croissants I've had outside of France. Ludicrously crisp, shiny exterior and chewy, flaky interior - perfect.

What can I say but amazing....my taste buds have never been so thrilled and excited at the same time. The square croissant is a must try, I have never tried anything so good. If in North Berwick it is a must 💖🥐
