Lovely family meal celebrating 2 birthdays. Food great, service friendly, and relaxed atmosphere. A good selection on the menu at reasonable prices. There were 15 of us and the food was served promptly and with a smile! Thank you to the staff at The Boot & Slipper.

Thank you for a great meal on Sunday yesterday 23 and the lovely. Relaxed atmosphere And lovely staff I had my family from Manchester visiting they really enjoyed everything from start to finish I live in Amersham I go the boot slipper fir Sunday lunch quite offer with my son and family Who also live in Amersham and we are never disappointed two of us have gush and chips and my sister in law had the chicken roast which is lovely and the service was so good as the place was packed so that shows you how popular restaurant it is my visitors are leaving today but off course I will visiting boot and slipper with my family as always thanks again for everything for making it a good day

A real shame as I’ve been a few times in the past and really enjoyed it! I came in for a roast and found that the roast potatoes are now cooked in Duck Fat so the Veggie/Vegan roast doesn’t come with potatoes. It’s priced the same as a meat roast but doesn’t have Roast Potatoes, Yorkshire Puddings, Stuffing and isn’t meat. I rethink on price is needed. When ordering the vegan burger I was also told that “the chips aren’t vegan as they are fried in the same oil as chicken and squid”. On the menu they are marked as Veggie which then is incorrect. When served chips that are vegan they were undercooked in the oven. Such a shame as I said earlier I have been before and had a lovely meal, but now I don’t think I’ll come back. Also we ordered a children’s roast which came plated with a large knife which felt a little inappropriate.

First trip to The Boot and Slipper, our server Adam made the night. Very attentive, funny and friendly. Adam's professionalism shone through. Thanks Adam!

Great Night With the Girls and Lovely Food. Our Night was enhanced by Adam, our Server who was friendly and attentive.

Great menu choices, very helpful staff, especially Ben. Plenty of parking and two EV chargers including CHAdeMO. I was fascinated by the tiles in the toilets! We chose the triple puddings but asked for two spoons.

Excellent Sunday lunch. The fish and chips was mine, the beef was my wife's. Service was superb. The General Manager is Ben who waited on us. Quick, helpful, and cheerful he's an asset to the Boot & Slipper.

All okay. Not outstanding. A few of our table had a chicken strips starter. Fortunately I didn't. All of them were sent back for being cold. When they were brought back to the table, the server said "the chef has reheated them". Not so long ago I would have freaked out at this & walked out. It was quite apparent the Restaraunt was struggling with multiple issues that evening. To be fair, they took all the chicken starters off the final bill. They also gave us a discount on the remainder. Overall, I wouldn't rush back, but wouldn't rule it out altogether if that turned out to be the venue on another occasion.

Good pub food in a friendly vibrant environment. Reasonably priced and good service even when busy. The service team do a great job.

Came with my family. The service was delightful and the portions were massive yet delicious. Was definitely worth the price they ask for imo.

As always, Adam and his team did a great job for our dinner on 12th Feb. Served by Jess who is a great asset to them- smiley, polite and attentive. Food was very good as usual. Just wish we had bigger appetites!

Jess, Adam and Fran were fantastic hosts as they served my family of 8. Out celebrating a special occasion and we were given the 5* treatment. The food was wonderful and presented well.

This is by far the best, most well run pub in the area. The staff are brilliant - so friendly and the atmosphere and food is amazing! Every time we come in it’s packed and that says it all. The building is also beautiful . Keep up the good work 👍

Very little choice on roast dinner. Beef or chicken Sparse vegetables hidden by a large Yorkshire Pudding. Also squid starter was thick and very tough. Staff, service and atmosphere excellent.

We had a fantastic time. The food was really good. The Gluten free menu for my daughter was very good lots of different options

Not the cheapest, but very good food & service, you get what you pay for. Update 28/12/24: Annual reunion of a group of friends, good food etc in Dec 2022 & Dec 2023, but let down a bit Dec 2024, a tough very fatty sirloin steak, (starter & dessert were OK though).

Took my Mum along for Christmas lunch. The pub was laid out nicely with plenty of space and a mix of dining and drinking tables. The tables were decorated well, very festive with Christmas crackers and a Christmas card. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly and the staff were excellent. The young lady serving us was very warm and friendly and had time to chat with us. The food was lovely and there was a nice little break between the courses. The food portions were very generous, maybe too generous as some of the main course was left over. But all in all the food was very good. Thanks to all the staff, especially those we didn't see, who all helped to make our Christmas lunch very special and enjoyable.

The staff as soon entering were so friendly. We were taken to our seats after we had a drink at the bar because we arrived early. At our seat, we were offered a drink which we didn’t want and within 5 minutes, our Christmas drink arrived. Shortly after our starters arrived. Each starter was absolutely delicious. When we were done, are plates were taken promptly and with a good space between the mains arrived. Wow!!! What a delicious Christmas dinner. Again when we were done and a lovely time between, our deserts arrived and they too were absolutely delicious. All in all, the staff on Christmas Day, the service, the food…..was all exceptional. Compliments to the chefs. What exceptional food they produced that day! Food was absolutely delicious. Staff were brilliant! Couldn’t have been more pleased with our first Christmas eating out.

Lovely staff, who do seem to care. Food though sadly was cold and all our meals had to be sent back. We wondered if the food seemed to be cooked by microwave ? Wasn’t great for the adults or kids and so we won’t be returning having been here multiple times before. There is much better out there.

We went for breakfast with Santa yesterday and the breakfast and coffee was the worst we have ever had! All of our breakfast was cold and when we complained, they took our plates away and simply warmed up the plates them up! It's a joke! It's almost like all the food is pre-cooked and they warm it up when they get an order! When I told them my plate had no toast, the waitress responded in such a rude way. The only good part was meeting Santa (that was really well done).

Was 4 adults and 2 grandchildren we were there for breakfast with Santa and it was excellent from beginning to end. Friendly staff and beautiful inside will be back most definitely.

Delicious food. I had starter and main and felt stuffed. Good parking, access, and tables are scattered, giving room for everyone to get about and enjoy your own group large or small without feeling squashed.

I attended The Boot & Slipper with colleagues for our annual Xmas meal last night (14th December 2024), and I was impressed. I had the cod loin with sauce wrapped in bacon, baby skin on hassleback potatoes, sprouts and broccoli. It was thick, filling and fantastic. The service was brilliant and everyone had a great time. I'll definitely go again and try the rib eye steak.

We visited today as a party of 20. Can not fault the staff at all, everyone was friendly and helpful, positive and couldn't fault their attentiveness on a busy December Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, even though we pre ordered one of the kids meals was missed but the staff couldn't have been more apologetic. Disappointingly given the pre order was in the adults mains didn't come out in quick succession and a couple of the chicken dishes were overcooked and dry. Overall it's a nice venue, good parking, great staff, just maybe cater better to smaller groups. Definitely a kitchen issue not a service issue and we'd absolutely return.

We had a family meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had the 2024 festive three course menu. It was fantastic. Great portions, lovely atmosphere and service. Staff looked after us and nothing was too much to ask. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely night at the boot and slipper, we were greeted by a friendly waitress, the service & food was excellent. The sea bass was delicious! Looking forward to my next visit in December.

Good food,didn't have to wait too long for our lunch ,friendly staff and good atmosphere.

My mother in law booked a Sunday lunch for 8 people for 27th October. It was made in person and in advance and she was even shown the table that we had been allocated at the booking. When we arrived yesterday we were advised by the manager he had no such record of the booking and the pub was full. This was a special birthday occasion and 6 of the party had travelled over 50 miles to be there. 2 of the party are receiving treatment for serious illnesses so this get together had an extra special significance. I would expect the Boot and Slipper to significantly compensate my parents in law for ruining their afternoon with the family.

Great roast dinner yesterday and wonderful service from Ben. He was friendly, efficient and a good laugh. He ensure we received everything we asked for, including checking on dietary questions :)

This is an amazing restaurant, the staff were all really nice and we had a laugh! The atmosphere is welcoming and it’s somewhere you can chat with friends and lose track of time and we didn’t feel rushed that they wanted the table. The food was great I had the chicken burger and my friend the toad in the hole and they were both really good! We had dessert, they sung happy birthday to my friend and put some candles in her dessert and they were really nice to give it to her on the house. The servers were amazing and were great to have a laugh with. Will definitely be back and definitely recommend it.

Fabulous late lunch, Warmly Greeted by Sophie , even though really busy Sophie found a table for two. Got our drinks took our order really quickly even though trying to serve everyone else too. Food came in good time and it was delicious, belly pork and chicken n rice . perfect, good price considering near London Excellent Thank you to Sophie and the crew at the boot n slipper

Travelled from the north to visit a relative. Thought the beer was great and we all agreed the food was excellent. I had the cod and chips, it was spot on. Didn't have a desert but my son loved the triple choc brownie. Friendly, pleasant staff as well. Would definitely visit again

Extensive and excellent wine list and good selection of ales and soft drinks. Child friendly with lots of board games. Food could be better but nice varied choice options on the menu. Lovely atmosphere and brilliant service. Several open fires complete the setting for this listed building. I would happily return!

Had an excellent early evening meal, when the restaurant staff of Adam, Katherine and Frances could not be more welcoming to us and our dog. A very pleasant evening and food all round.

It is cosy pub. Atmosphere was nice. The quality of food was adequate but not outstanding. In future I will choose drinks only.

I ordered a cheese toastie. Awful. No cheese. If the chef can't get a cheese toastie right, no hope. Short staffed. The manager dealt with it, but it was not a good experience. Will not be going back.

This pub is right on my doorstep so it's ideal as my 'local' but it's just so disappointing every time I go there. Each time I give it a go and go back, I get what can only be described as a luke warm welcome at best from the managers and guys behind the bar. I never feel welcome, more of an inconvenience with a surly response, when I come to order my food or a drink. Definitely not 'hospitality'. The food is really not good, very rarely hot enough, often feels like it's just been under the lamp, just doesn't taste great. Always disappointing. I've never actually had anything there that has been really nice which is such a shame because it looks perfect and is set out and furnished so well. I just don't think I can bring myself to keep going back hoping that it's going to get better any more.

Nice pub. Very busy on Saturday. Had reserved, table available but right in the middle, fortunately another table became available and upon request we were re-seated to the quieter area. Food quality is very good and great selection of wines and cocktails ( incl non alcoholic ones). Prices ok'ish but very good if you use Tesco vouchers. Tables have cande lights but these are not lit... Had to request several times... Update: still very good food. On the pricier side...

We have been coming to the pub for a year now but nobody noticed us but since Jamie has came back it has been really good he knows his customers and has great customer service. Really appreciate all effort the teams put especially Jami, you’re Gem to this pub.

Such a shame. Lovely garden, lovely food helpful staff. Whole lunch totally ruined by a group who had been drinking in the drinks only part of garden. Making a noise & awful language. They then decided to eat & all moved into the eating.part of garden. Very disruptive, very very noisy & language that was dreadful as there were children about. We paid & left as soon as we could. Others in same area as us were equally dismayed. It was my 1st visit, on recommendation, sadly it might be my last if this is what happens. Very sad. It was totally ruined. However on positive side roast was great, & staff were helpful & happy. The loud group were rather rude to the waitresses.

We had a lovely meal at the Boot and Slipper in Amersham. Our main courses were delicious and I was the only one to have a desert, sadly the pastry on the apple tart was under cooked, which is very unusual. The service by Luke was excellent and certainly made our meal memorial.

Great pub in top Amersham an easy walk from the station. Have eaten in here several times over the last few years and always been impressed with the food, the service and cleanliness and decor. Last night our food was as good as always but the staff were amazing cheerful and helpful at every moment, lia in particular went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our visit. Abandoned in the garden on a Tuesday evening :( Meal for two of us, table 123. I ordered a seabass fillet and a pork belly. I was surprised to receive the food after 10 minutes only. My fish had hardly any meat (see photo) with broccoli (a half inch piece), new potatoes (literally 2), capers (a few), lemon (half), and a handful of microwaved frozen peas. Apologies but for £20 I feel totally ripped off. The pork belly was okay although did not look freshly plated. No staff in sight for an hour, it was dark when we left, dishes still on the table. Very disappointing!

We went to the Boot & Slipper with our elderly mothers for lunch and was greeted by Luke who kindly found a quiet table with easy access. He was very helpful when choosing our order and as our mothers don’t have big appetites said they could have a child’s portion which was just perfect! Perhaps this could be rebranded as something for those of you who have a small appetite- applicable to young and old? We had the roast beef and pork both of which were delicious followed by the peach crumble and coffee and a small dessert, again delicious. I would highly recommend the Boot & Slipper and would like to thank Luke for his friendly, helpful service, although the other staff were lovely too. The fact the meal was such great value was an added bonus! We all look forward to another visit very soon 10 / 10

Well that was a treat. Luke (our waiter) served us so well. The food was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed a perfect lunchtime meal.

Lovely gastro pub with generous portion sizes and helpful serving staff. We were served by Luke who gave us a great recommendation for their lamb shank shepherd's pie.
