Boom Bap Burger in Tower Hamlets

Excellent cheese burger cooked perfectly to our Medium request. Tasty fries, generous portion, enough to share. Very friendly staff, great music. Happily go back if ever in the area. We visited on a Sunday evening and booked a table on line, as it happened it was very quiet with a free booth and lots of regular tables. I would imagine it’s essential to book on a Friday or Saturday. Lots of outdoor seating when the weather is suitable.

Travelling on business to East London, I fancied a burger and dropped into Boom Bap in Bethnal Green. Like the weather outside, the experience left me cold. The burger was okay but not memorable. The loaded fries were truly disastrous. Soggy and cold beneath the loading, these fries were not fresh and must have been hanging around for a while. Too often I find burger bars think that a hot loading of items onto cold fries, will make them like new. It doesn’t. It makes them soggy. Make the guest some fresh fries. Cool name. Graffiti on the walls to give it an edge. But it’s just a passable burger.

A very late lunch- really good! Fay looked after us brilliantly, and the kitchen accommodated several picky kids (I don’t want cheese, no I do want cheese, yeuch pickles! ..etc..) Tasty with a nice mix of beers on tap.

3 of us dropped in for a bite before we went out. I ordered the cauliflower pieces with vegan dip. The cauliflower was so salty I felt ill & the dip was even saltier. The fries weren't far behind. Personally, I like my salt, I put salt on most of my meals but this was "spilt the salt jar in the mix, got out what I could but there's still loads in there" level. My two friends who had different burgers with fries both said their meals were very salty as well. Honestly mate, someone's going to have a coronary if you don't sort your catering team out. I understand that if you up the salt level so people drink more, thats the basic principle of crisps but this was extreme, I spent the rest of the evening drinking water as I felt so bad.

Fantastic food and cocktails 🍹 worth waiting for as they were very busy but the 30 minute estimate was only 20 Good atmosphere and staff were great and very helpful. A lovely time thank you it ended our day out with a bang! We will def go again for the cocktails and burgers

Usually great. BUT, tried to serve us food another table had touched. Got a free drink, but really, do I want to go back to a place that serves contaminated food? No.

Good range of burgers to choose from on the Menu including a vegi option. Burgers were delicious and pretty generous in size. Came quickly. Good range of beers on draft. Their own brand IPA was super tasty. Friendly staff. Couldn’t fault the place in any way.

Service was great lovely chaps serving and behind the bar. Cocktails at happy hour were nice but weak. Burgers were ok we love our burgers had planned this visit on other reviews but they were average. Loaded fries were tasty but cold burger was warm not hot... Just all a bit of a let down overall

My girlfriend and I went to lunch at boom bap burger this week. We were looking forward to it. The music, staff and setting were great. The food however wasn’t so good. I had cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger came and I cut it in half to find it was raw. I had to send it back. They gave me a new cheeseburger no problem. My issue was its taste. For £8.50 u expect a bigger burger - it was soooo thin, and the brioche bun made it way too sweet. Quality of the meat was no better than other, cheaper fast food restaurants. Chips were ‘french fries’ - undercooked, flabby and terrible especially for £3.50! Disappointing visit..£28 for a cheese burger, fries, a beer and a wine. Never again.

Visiting London for a few days and spotted this place whilst walking around the local area. The Burgers and Cheesy Chips were honestly the best we’ve ever had … And I’m prone to eating Burgers! We did plan to take photos … But the food was so good that we couldn’t wait! Excellent value for money! Definitely worth a visit!

Good service, unfortunately a few buts, Not asked how we would like our burgers done, they came incredibly rare/raw. Not good for everyone. Pretty much doors all open, it’s winter, after a request one was shut the rest wide open, had to ware a coat. Music selection wasn’t great even my teenage guests complained! No cutlery offered, nor hand wipes if this was intended. Meat quality was v good, address the above and we will be back for another try

Spotted this place from the Uber on our way to Shoreditch, looked nice with all the lights outside so made a detour and went in for burgers and cocktails. Reasonable prices, great espresso martinis and some happy hour prices. Little hidden gem.
