Bon Appetit in Brighton and Hove

2 of the people I was with have gotten bad food poisoning because of the food and are now bed ridden. Won't be coming back here again. There was a bad smell coming from the food too. Not fresh food at all. Avoiding.

I've been a regular here for about ten years - and I can say that it's better now than it ever has been. It's the familiar spread with all of the old favourites, but absolutely done right. (2016/17 was a bit of a low point.) Virtually no price increase in a decade, with service as laid back and as simplified as ever, which is what you want when ease and convenience is your goal. Post-work, Friday night dinner is sorted.

Excellent choices of food, great customer service and spacious. I highly recommend it for anyone who has plans for lunch.

A buffet-style restaurant where you pay once and eat as much as you want. There are fresh fruits and vegetables to create your own salads, hummus, various types of pizza, and full chicken dishes. My favorites are delicious hummus and the fresh salad bar. I recommend.

Unfortunately, the dishes weren't clean and the quality of the food wasn't good either. A few hours later I felt really bad and threw up several times. Too bad, we had expected better.

Good value eclectic buffet. Accessible and friendly. However some meats were fatty and gristly. Some meaty meals had a doggy taste. Pizzas while yummy, were chewy. Salads and mezzes were gorgeous and there were healthy options. Ok but needs a bit of work on meaty dishes. Nice staff.

Great value for 11.99£. For this price you can eat as much as you like. Since this restaurant is offering food of the world you can find here pizza, fries, humus, salads, Chinese chicken dishes and much more. The people who work there are very friendly. Overall a great experience!

First time back after the refurbishment, not as much choice unfortunately. The food was OK, bit basic, pizza was good, the salad tasted slightly vinaigrette/pickled. Can't really expect much for £12 a head. The best part was the role of the eyes, and glare from the female owner when I went up for my third plate. Not so all you can eat....

I had lunch here yesterday with my mother - great food variety and delicious options with fine ingredients as well. Congratulations to the owners-managers also for the service which was good.

Me and my friend had food from here tuesday evening. The manager was so pleasing. The buffet was exceptional. The food here is great. A great combination of fruits n veg is also there. The pizzas, rice, noodles, curries, all were great. Came to Brighton for a one day visit and the food here just added to what made our day. Thank You.!

Bon Apetit buffet restaurant, located in the center of Brighton, on one of the busiest streets, is a great place. You can eat many delicious dishes, from main course to pizza, salad, fruit, and as much as you want for only £11.99. The employees are very kind and helpful, nice people of Iranian origin. The environment is also very nice. I highly recommend it to those who want to taste various flavors together and appreciate their money.

Food was delicious and freshly cooked! We were very satisfied with the healthy variety of food. Service was excellent. One of the best buffets I have been to!!! 🍽️

All the essentials for non-fussy eaters. You can’t eat anywhere else in Brighton for that price. The food is very good. The only meat is chicken but you can’t expect pricey meats or seafood for £11.99 per person! Will be going back 100%

Just had lunch and I was impressed with both the service and food. The food was hot (except the salad bits). Good quality and fresh. Lovely bright and clean restaurant. Tried a few dishes never had before. Would highly recommend for a family on a budget wanting to eat in the centre of Brighton.

A lovely "all you can eat" style buffet with a wonderful selection of food to suit all tastes. I spent £11.99 on the all day buffet and ate 3 plates of food !! Plenty of seating and the staff are all very friendly & attentive.

There is a very limited choice of dishes though the available dishes were generally favourites of mine so not so bad. No soup available when we were there. No desserts apart from fruit.

I found the choice limited with 3 meat dishes consisting of tasteless chicken wings, a tasty sweet and sour chicken and some kind of beef dish. The noodles were extremely salty, there was a good variety of veg dishes none really flavoursome. The potatoes were hard. Pizza and salad were good. Generally I was disappointed and felt I wasted my money. It was great to see a grade 5 for hygiene and the staff were friendly and service good, but unfortunately I would not recommend.

till restrictions are finally lifted, this is not really functioning aa a buffet-choice is limited and you need to ask to be served. Coscous, humus and some of the hot dishes were worth the money; pizzas did not look very inspiring or appetising

I visited Bon Appetit on a trip to Brighton with my girlfriend for lunch this afternoon.The food was decent, but not long into her meal, my girlfriend discovered a piece of glass/plastic (It was hard to tell) buried in her food, however it was already in her mouth by the time she realised! The staff were apologetic and gave her a new plate of food, however they didn’t change the portion that it came out of which seems unsafe considering there could be more in there.When we got the bill, they charged us the full amount, and although we were paying together and my girlfriend had a student discount, he didn’t discount as much because I didn’t have my ID on me, which I feel was stingy given the circumstances.Would not recommend this place, there are so many other local businesses with better quality food and service which are more deserving of your support!

What a waste of money. The food that was on show was a cold greasy mess. The 50 dishes advertised were non existent. The best part was the lager and the decor. Save your money and find somewhere else.

La comida estuvo bien, pero nunca me habían topado con tanto en un restaurante. Los únicos que se disculparon fueron otros clientes. El personal que me golpeó los codos mientras comía nunca dijo una palabra. ¿Y solo efectivo? ¿Seriamente? Una experiencia de deslizamiento en tiempo real allí, sin mencionar el inconveniente. went for the lunch buffet....not too much choice on the chinese....plenty of choice on the pizza but dont like pizza.....lol....

Good choice of different cuisines. I was looking for Chinese but there were a good choice of salads pizzas and much more. There was came and fresh fruit for afters.

La comida también está bien presentada, tanto para los amantes de la carne como para los vegetarianos. Los precios fijos son muy razonables para lo que puede seleccionar y comer. DONT GO HERE!!!! UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SICK!! I’ve been here before and really didn’t want to go back, however my friend wanted to try it. After a short while (we had been there 30 mins) she was sick! And I felt the same. The food is Cold and cheap, I honestly don’t understand how they have business! We asked to speak to a manager which was “meant to come over” and never did! We almost missed out train home after approaching the ‘manager’ he was very rude and said because we drunk too much water that’s why we were sick and he wasn’t a charity case. Honestly don’t bother going there, it will ruin your day!

£8.99 for an all you can eat is reasonable. The selection was alright but the freshness wasn’t really great, especially on the pizza counter. It could do with a better range of desserts, like ice cream would go down so well.Be aware that they only accept cash at time of writing (9th November 2019)

Absolutely awful first and last visit here. Looked a bit really nice place but the food was all cold, not even Luke warm! We must have been here 10minutes tops and left an almost full plate! Complained before paying and had no apology and was charged full price.....awful, I’d avoid it like the plague!

Good food with a decent selection, plenty there to fill you up. Staff were friendly and it’s reasonably priced. It is what it is with regards to an all you can eat buffet, it’s never gourmet food but still done to a high standard, no complaints.

Before when we went there we asked card acceptable and they said yes. But when we finished the meal, they suddenly said the card is unable due to the WIFI problem without any try. At last, the card machine was work and I paid by my card. But the staff said angrily, ” When you live in the UK you must bring some cash because UK internet doesn't work often. But he said that without a try, and the card machine went well. I said to him We have lived in the UK for 4years. But the rude staff said ”But why you don’t bring cash”. Comimos aquí para un almuerzo tardío en un día laborable, cuando el buffet es de 8 GBP. 99 por persona. El lugar no estaba demasiado ocupado en ese momento, toda la comida parecía bastante fresca y el servicio fue rápido, eficiente y amable.

The food was horrible. Most of the plates had been clearly sat out there since opening as the rice was dry and the pizzas were stone hard. I banged it against my plate and it was like banging a rock against the table. Most of the food is mislabelled and tastes old. The salad isn’t too bad but the cous cous looked dried and horrendous.

The manager of this restaurant needs to go on a customer service course. We went to pay and told him we were only pay for one as my partner didn't eat anything as the chicken was like jelly and the rice like bullets. He snatched the bill and told us to get out and never come back. Where as he should have said what was the issue. Rude arrogant man.

Food: The soup tasted like it had been boiling for hours: burnt and smelly. Some of the rest of the food was cold. Overall, most of the food was obviously not fresh and tasted as such. The pizzas were nice.

After reading some good reviews on google and on trip advisor we decided that we stop here for something to eat on a rainy Monday evening. Well the reviews must have been on a good day because it certainly wasn’t what we were expecting... the staff were rude,the food was all cold and not nice the chicken curry should definitely had been called potato curry with maybe a small piece of chicken,the pineapple was full of flys! The toilets were dirty. Would never go back here again. I know it’s cheap but you still expect hot food and a smile from the the staff.

Some food was cold and had been out too long, plenty of variety of main courses but desserts were unappetising. Prices are not on menu. Only cash payments accepted and when I paid the staff attempted to short change me. The toilet was not clean.

we found this place by chance when looking for somewhere to go for lunch. it was extremely busy and i found the tables and chairs a little bit too close together as there was not a great deal of room to move about when getting up for food. the food was really nice and there was a great choice, although when i got up to get my desert there wasnt actually anything left, which was a bit disappointing, and i thought it would have been replenished a bit quicker due to how busy it was. anyway the food and choice was good, just a little cramped.

Ate here early on a Saturday evening following going to football. Conveniently placed in the town centre and at £10.99 reasonably priced. The deal is as much as you can eat from the 50 dish buffet filled with a large variety of global dishes. Food looked pretty unexciting although overall was quite tasty considering how many dishes there are. Went back quite a few times to sample the different cuisines. The only real let down were the desserts where the choice was really poor, a couple of pieces of cake and a bit of fruit. A good place if you are really hungry but nowhere near the best of this type of restaurant.

Door advertises closes at 10 so myself and my husband went in at 8. Food average, not much taste to anything. At 8.30 we went to have a dessert but was told it had finished. Manager very rude and said it was a buffet and not entitled to anything else. Will never go back and advise everyone to avoid it. We weren't the only ones upset by this.

Ate hear Saturday lunchtime, not much to say value is OK as only £10.99 per person for the buffet. Food choices included pizza and Chinese basically which seemed a bit random. There was Spaghetti with tomato sauce option only, and also Mexican chilli... Dessert options looked dry and had nothing to go with them. Wouldn't rush to return unless there was more options.

Quick and friendly service. The food looked good, but much of it didn't taste as well as it looked. The couscous was dry, and the Chinese didn't really taste Chinese. The pizza was ok. The desert was only dry cakes which tasted nothing. Reasonable price, but we would not go back.

Very average. Not much to choose from and food warm going on cold. Refill coke was decent. Struggled to find anything to go with a rice dish.

My wife and I were in Brighton on Good Friday and were looking for some food. Because it’s a bank holiday everywhere was charging full price so we thought we’d try something different so we went into Bon Appetit.

Four of us went here for a meal. Loads to choose from .friendly service and very cheap. Clean easy to get to

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Great selection of food and kids eat for half price! Great for healthy and non healthy dishes, plenty of food, all you can eat with food suiting kids and most diets!

Good food with medium quality,but not too bad for the price you pay, with a good variety of dishes. The only thing that really disappointed me is that they don’t really care about customers, you stay ages with dirty plates on the table and this is unacceptable for a buffet.

Cant Complain about food, its fair enough deal compare what we Pay.

The owner and staff are very friendly and drinks service was quick. Both food and beer prices are very reasonable, and you really have to take that into consideration when judging this place. The food to me was hit and miss: the pizza was great, the battered fish and sweet and sour chicken were very good, but the chicken wings and satay chicken were dry, the chicken curry was nice but tasted like chip shop curry and some of the other items were empty when I arrived, only being refilled as I left. Overall I’d say it was satisfying but I doubt that I’d return

For 2 buffets with 2 drinks £22 was very good value for money, not just pizza and pasta/ chips but a nice selection of other hot dishes and a variety of salads. Deserts were also included not that great, but desert was an extra I was not expecting. Staff were very pleasant and you get the impression its a family run business, restaurant was clean and well laid out

First visit here after seeing it numerous times, decided to try it, on entering we were seated, waitress wandered off, got up to ask how it works, she pointed at plates, had to walk over to the staff to request drinks, so no table service, food, was tasteless and luke warm at best. Middle of winter and we were sat under active air con! So wasn't the warmest experience, food standard was well below what I would expect from a all you can eat buffet, then came to pay! The price is extortionate for what's on offer and quality, I've paid less in nice restaurants for what I paid here. And no card, cash only, needless to say it was the first and last visit to this place. There are many MANY more nicer places that offer the same, but decent HOT food!

This was my second visit, exactly four weeks after my first. I still cannot believe that people give this place poor ratings as yet again, I found a warm welcome, plenty of choice of hot, tasty food and a nice atmosphere. Both my wife and I ( we ate entirely different food choices ) felt we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

Nice selection and tasted good too , o my downside is it's Cash only which seems a bit dodgy but if passing for a quick bite it's very reasonably priced for a buffet

Habiendo tenido nuestra parte justa de restaurantes con comida promedio pero por encima de los precios promedio, probamos Bon Appetit por casualidad. El restaurante tenía un ambiente agradable, el personal era atento y educado, y por el precio, tuvimos una buena comida de buffet. Había una excelente selección de comida y los platos eran de un tamaño decente, así que no terminamos tomando micro comidas a la mesa. No puedo entender todas las malas calificaciones aquí, ya que no tuvimos ninguna queja en absoluto y, de hecho, pagamos un poco menos de 30 por dos comidas de buffet decentes, dos copas de vino y una cerveza. Me sorprendió un poco el signo de 'solo efectivo' cuando fui a pagar, pero afortunadamente tenía efectivo en mí. Visitamos entre las 5 y las 6 de la tarde de un miércoles por la noche, así que fue muy tranquilo. Una cosa que mejoraría sería un poco de helado para acompañar la fruta, la jalea o el pastel. You get what you pay for. Pizza and chips were cold. Chicken curry had very little chicken. Poor choice of desserts and no cream /ice cream. Very disappointing

Visité el martes con mis hijos, no me impresionó la calidad de la comida, la grasa de la pizza algo de comida fría, la ensalada estaba bien. Había algo de fruta de color marrón y trozos de pastel para pudín, no sé cómo, ¡pero lograron que el pastel no supiera absolutamente nada! Literalmente no tenía sabor. El restaurante en sí es oscuro y las mesas sucias se sienten un poco pegajosas e inmundas, el inodoro que es unisex parece muy antihigiénico, el personal era lo suficientemente agradable pero no dio ninguna instrucción sobre cómo funciona el restaurante, mi niña comió una porción de pizza y una salchicha y se cobró 5. 99 definitivamente no vale la pena, mucho mejores lugares en Brighton por el precio.

My wife and I were staying in the hotel opposite and having spent the day travelling and then walking about the Lanes, we decided to eat nearby. The Bon Appetit looked ok with plenty of choices so we gave it a try.

All the food was cold and when someone complained the woman running the place argued with them , the plates were hot when we bought them out ( about twenty minutes ago) they then used a thermometer on the dishes they'd just put out and said every thing is ok .

One of the bad experiences I have ver had with pizza. My husband heard a lot of good reviews, so we decided to have lunch. As we entered the restaurant, was busy, ask my husband the owner for vegetarian option, me and my son were looking at the buffet, one of the staff was tidying the buffet. Using the same spoon for veg and non-veg pizza. When the own showed us the options, we requested if he can make us fresh vegetarian pizza, as I explained what the staff did, he blamed on the customer. As we request if could do us a pizza, if not we were going to go some where else. He said ok and ask one of his staff to make veg pizza, we sat down with some salad Had good selection of salad. When we got the pizza, it looked very greasy. The pizza had a thick layer of cheese and olives. The other topping like mushroom and mixed peppers, it was like digging for treasure hunt.

All you can eat, all you can stomach more like. We had half a plate of all you can eat then left. If I fed this food to my dog he would leave me.

Priced at just £8.99 each for an all you can eat buffet, we didn’t find it hard to make it well worth our money! The food on offer was lovely, and there was a reasonable amount of choice. Waiting staff were attentive and welcoming, and drinks were also reasonably priced.

We were visiting Brighton and called in to this really busy restaurant on a Friday lunch time . The buffet was a variety of international dishes , there was hot and cold food, eg..curries salads chips pizza garlic flat bread and a few cakes and fresh fruit . It was fine for a quick lunch . For the price we paid especially in Brighton it was good value, and the drinks were reasonably priced too . The service was ok not very friendly .

On a day trip and we ended up coming here after reading that days buffet had closed down and we was starving after travelling 3 hours. Well this place is nothing special. Looks good on the outside but the food was not all that or authentic. It’s supposed to be a buffet but it was very limited. Plain spaghetti, pasta sauce and lots pizza. Three types of rice, 1 noodles, attempt of chilli con carne, chicken curry and some other watery dishes. Desserts was bowl sliced apples, plate sliced watermelon, stale carrot cake and chocolate cake. Food was bland and watery. This place would be good for people that want to eat cold vegetables and salads and that’s about it. Big group of us and we all left wishing we didn’t eat here. My 5yo child ate 1 slice pizza and charged £5.99. Service was ok. But would not come here again.

Decided to try this buffet after seeing how popular it was over the weekend .Many dishes to try, Indian, Chinese, pasta, pizza, salads, chips, sausages, cakes, fruit , as much as you can eat for £8.99 , generally all the dishes were tasty, drinks were limited but ok, tables were cleared and cleaned quickly, a fairly pleasant experience.

There are Indian food and variety of vegetables. Vegetables are flesh and many dressings are prepared.

Busy day in town so lots of queues however this place large in side so had space and had a hungry 8 year old who wasn’t in the mood for waiting.

Absolutely horrible food, cold, no real labels especially if a vegetarian. No customer service, if they had spoken to us more than sit here and at end the end to say price of bill, we would have said how poor it was. Lesson learnt, don’t go here again and complain in future if dissatisfied! P.s use the loo before you go, one for all, and I mean all - one facility for men, women, disabled and baby changing

Popped in here on the off chance for lunch whilst spending an afternoon in Brighton..restaurant was pretty comfortable..service good.There was an excellent choice of food..alll hot and tasty..being topped up regularily and at £8..99 per person you can not complain at that..If you want somewhere for a quick..all you can eat nice buffet at a great price then i would highly recommend this place!!

My daughter wanted to try this place out for her Birthday and I can honestly say that it certainly was not a treat. The amount of food which was so processed, I could not believe people are serving this stuff out to the public. Please save your money.

Came across the place by chance and we were not disappointed. A good range of choice, across the buffet, all of which was very tasty and well presented. We all had varying dietary needs/likes and were all well catered for by the selection. Worth a visit. Cash only, so be prepared.

I found this restaurant on a day trip to Brighton and have to say will I will be revisiting. The service was excellent and the selection of food suited our fussy daughter (13 years old). I found it a relaxing place to eat as not being rushed or pestered by staff asking if everything was ok every five minutes.i would highly recommend this place and it's easy to find as has a window full of fresh fruit.

In Brighton at a conference and had been driving most of the day so really needed a good filling meal. I have been here before so knew it had a variety of food I liked. This year they seem to have expanded the range a bit so it's not only pizza and pasta with salad but spicy chicken wings, various vegetarian options and a good range of fruit as well.

Had lunchtime buffet here today with my family. Friendly staff showed us to a table where we ordered drinks. The food on the buffet was excellent, beautifully presented and checked by chefs topping up a few times whilst we were there. Pizzas were superb soft dough, lots of different toppings lots to choose from. Sausages, fries, hash browns, onion rings and more. Amazing fresh salad selection which I personally enjoyed. I also tried the noodles, egg fried rice, chicken curry and the sweet and sour chicken was divine. All in all we had a great meal, if we come back to Bristol would definitely come back to this restaurant.

This year’s visit to Bon Appetit went badly. The bill came to £26 and I gave the girl at the counter £10 too much by mistake. I gave her 4 £10 notes. She gave me back £4 she did not give me back the £10. I counted my money carefully and knew without any doubt I was missing £10. The manager would not believe me. The girl took the £10. I tried to insist and got nowhere. I will NEVER go there again.

I went to this restaurant with a friend of mine, woooow what an amazing and delicious buffet.

Cheap n cheerful, tasty food for the price. Went in coz hungry and wasn’t disappointed. Would recommend

I always go to Bon Appetite in North Street when visiting Brighton as it is my favourite restaurant. You can help yourself to all you can eat for £8.99. There is a great selection - you can be as healthy or unhealthy as you like! Lovely selection of salad, the usual sausage, chips, onion rings, pizza etc and then the great selection of main meals. The Greek vegetables are to die for with lovely aubergine and peppers. Also the sweet and sour pork. There is also fresh fruit for afters. As you can tell I would really rate the food and would recommend a visit.

Popped in for a quick lunch as the salads looked interesting. Was surprised by the choice (everything from interesting salads to pizza, curry, sausages...) and excellent value for money. The Greek vegetables were delicious - could have eaten a whole plate of the aubergines. Would definitely go again - just wished I lived nearer. Good for anyone, and especially a party where everyone likes different cuisines.

Food trays looks like they haven’t been changed from the day before the food is so dry on the edges pasta /rice is sooo dry its actually crunchy it used to be good when it first opened now its gone down hill

Feeling hungry rushing around the shops, we have passed this place so many times. Great variety of cooked and cold foods. All nicely displayed buffet style and eat as much as you like. Everything I tried was nice. You shouldn’t come to this type of restaurant expecting high class, buts it is value for money. Normally this type of buffet style place sell expensive drinks, but not here . Great family run place

First time in Brighton. Didnt know where to eat and we were running out of time before our show started. Found this place. £10 all you can eat and quick and easy. Bargain. Lovely choice of food.
