A great cafe which is larger than you think on first site. It was really busy with people having full English breakfast which looked great. I took my sister who has vascular dementia and struggles to sit for long. The young lady who served me was really helpful and brought her ice cream out quickly. The coffee and roast pork cob was delicious. My friend who was with us had a turkey cob and she said the same. It’s not a posh place but nice enough and the menu is not expensive at all. We will definitely go there again

We got there for breakfast and found a table which was full of pots. I asked for it to be cleared and 30 mins later had to ask again. The food arrived 10 mins after. They got my wife's order wrong she is allergic to baked beans and obviously had not taken any care to endure they weren't put on the plate. We told them about it and they replaced the breakfast but there was still bean juice present so had obviously just re plated the original breakfast. My breakfast was ok at best. To be fair they were extremely busy do may have been a one off. Unfortunately it has put us of from returning.

Hearty comfort food. Great service. Friendly & welcoming atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Can’t fault this place at all. I’ve just come out of hospital and Margaret has been building me back up. I’ve been 3 times this week and feel that I will be a regular in the future too. I’ve had a beef roast dinner, chicken, ham and leek pie and lambs liver… with veggies mash, gravy & Yorkshire puddings and taken cakes home for supper. My friend loved all her food too! Perfection all round. 20/10

Lovely food. Staff didn't appear happy - no talking, heads down, no pleasantries and hand put out by girl on till saying £x. I will possibly go again, but not make a special trip. Maybe it was the end of lunchtime service, but both staff members were not at all customer focused. Shame because the food was really nice.

The pub is in a great spot and was packed for Sunday lunch. The service from the mainly fairly young team was really good - whoever is recruiting and training them needs to take a bow. The Sunday roast was ok but definitely in the quantity over quality category, and expensive at £22+. Mind you, if you can charge £22 for ok and still be packed then fair play I guess.

Just stop for a hot drink and quick snack. Enjoyed outdoor space. Kind and helpful staff. Car park at the front.
