Bombay Spice Indian in Swindon

I love an Indian takeaway and we’ve travelled out here from town for years because they’re just the best. Incredibly friendly service, tasty food and good timings (not slow but not worryingly quick either)

We have had take away from Bombay Spice for over 20 years the food is always excellent, but tonight the chicken was chewy and the sauce watery - such a shame didn’t enjoy it !!!

We used to get food from the other Indian takeaway in the village but we have been converted to Bombay Spice. Each dish tastes great and they will make it to your preference and in a timely manner. Shibley in particular is a nice guy. He is always chatty and friendly and recently we had a mix up with the change given back to us and the next day he sorted it out straight away with no hesitation. We will continue to be loyal customers of Bombay spice I’m sure.

Called in after work..ordered meal which took sometime to prepare. My Chicken Korma was tasteless...Tikka Masala..not much better...had to spice it up with Lime Pickle and Mango Chutney...very disappointed.Won't be returning...Staff rude.

We've been using this takeaway for years. The food is always good. We have moved house but still happy to drive 10 miles to get our favourite takeaway.

After spending so much of my time in wroughton and driving far every Friday night for a good curry, me and my boyfriend decided to try Bombay Spice and was highly impressed, the customer service when ordering was very welcoming and the food was just amazing . We had the Saag Pioneer, Butter Chicken & Chicken Tikka Masala . The flavours were just beautiful so creamy and all went so well together, the saag pioneer had the perfect amount of garlic cheese and every flavour in there. Only problem is now we cannot wait unit Friday to have another curry from here so we will be attending again in the week.

Fantastic curry and brilliant service.cant recommend highly enough . Will even alter orders to consider your needs.

Not much to say really other than. Very poor meal and so much better in the area. The meal arrived quickly but every dish was cold. Shali chicken was very bland and mild, chilli garlic chicken tasted awful, burnt and sour.... korma was just ok. Won't use them again.

Have ordered from here before and it was decent but this time it was overly priced and not that great. The chicken pakora could barely be said to contain chicken. They had the most wafer thin small pieces of chicken that I have ever seen. In one there was practically no chicken. Overall the batter was thicker than the chicken & very greasy. The mains were ok but the naans not as good as previously.

We have had many meals from Bombay spice and always found the owner helpful. My normal is a Chicken Pathia extra hot - which is just right for me .

Excellent food and service ordered Set meal for 2 and could not fault the food or service would highly recommend using this take away

This was the first food I've had from Bombay Spice - chicken balti and tandoori chicken. The best Indian meal I've had by miles. Will become a firm favourite takeaway venue for sure!

From the moment you ring this place they are so so friendly and conversational! We always have to collect from where we live but it doesn't bother us. Usually ready within 15-20 mins and available. Sometimes forgetting the odd item we ordered but nothing important! The food is very tasty and spot on.

Best takeaway in swindon..great food great service everytime. Used home delivery service plenty of times food always still hot and fresh. Never been disappointed

it does the job very well - online menu, tick, free local delivery, tick, discount for cash on pickup, tick. Food cooked fresh to order, tick, large portions, tick, quick turnaround tick. Food was a little oily for my taste - chicken biryani, lamb rogan, chicken tikka massala, varioud naan breads all very good. Chicken chat again suffered the curse of warm cucumber, but that is my only quibble.

Love the curries here, our local takeaway & it's always good. Lamb rogan josh & chicken biriyani our personal favourites. Always good friendly service too.

Quite simply the best around.great choice on the vast menu and prices very fair.the portions are huge.Clean and tidy inside and very friendly service.

I love the food and the amazing service. Best take-away in Swindon. I love the King prawn butterfly starter which comes with a side salad and mint sauce, well worth the money. Food is cooked to perfection. I also, do enjoy the chicken biryani with lamb madras. My favourite meal of the week. Great job Bombay spice, keep it up :)

Not a very good order this evening.Dry chicken, dodgy tasting prawns, and too much oil. Has left us feeling a little unwell. Shame, it used to be a very reliable, but probably won't order from there again.

Always come here when in Wroughton , the curries are fantastic ! Great choice , large portions and quick turnaround , well worth a visit

Used this restaurant twice in the last month and will always use this now for my takeaways. The food is very good quality and very tasty. The portion sizes are very good and very good value for how much you get. Carry on doing what your doing!!! Thank You! :)

I've used this takeaway twice now & am very pleased with the quality of the food it's fresh & very tasty staff are always friendly i would recommend this takeaway well worth a visit.

Never let down by this place, been going there for years now and it's never dipped in quality. . . .

Love this takeaway might be slily deare but the quality is superb. Always and tasty, large portions one main is prob enough for two lovely sides and dips come with some of the starters. Delivery is avail and we never have to wait more than 40 mins which i think is very good.

I have been to this takeaway a few times now and found the staff friendly the meals are tasty and plentiful, the prices no different from any where else but that's my view. Most definitely will go again

I'm almost sorry to have to post a poor review of this place, since I have always found the food to be of a reasonable standard. What is not acceptable is the high handed, take it or leave it attitude of the manager and staff.I was stood at the counter looking at the menu during my last visit when I noticed that the prices are the same as you'd expect to pay in a restaurant, mostly starting at about circa £6.00+ per item plus the cost of rice and any extras. Upon commenting that the price is almost equivalent to a sit down restaurant I was told very quickly 'If you don't like it.. go somewhere else'... so I did, and have been ever since.I must have spent a considerable amount of money over the years I've been going there, but I've noticed how much their prices have been increasing recently. However there was no attempt whatsoever on their part to justify their position, just the blunt retort, and this from staff who are always more interested in watching football on the television than caring about customers. In fact, one gets the strong impression that customers are somewhat of an interruption to their TV enjoyment!I've started going to a more friendly, takeaway who realises the value of good old-fashioned customer service
