Service was excellent and food was amazing

Just ordered and was the worst bombay bites ever. Extremely disappointed.Spend £27 for 2 boxes. Barely any chicken and extremely dry even though I paid for extra sauce and told the staff make sure they put sauces at bottom aswell as top of box. For the price you'd think they would make food better gone downhill and prices skyhigh. Avoid plenty of better food places on the road worth the money.

Food is nice but very expensive to what u get

Tried this place a week ago and the food was really nice. I ordered bombay fish and chips and enjoyed it. The fried onions and sauces added that extra dimension of flavour, the fish was really nice. It was abit oil heavy for my liking but enjoyed nonetheless. Will definitely be trying other items on the menu

I’ve been going to Bombay bites for years now and it’s the quality of the food is the same as the first time I’ve tried it. The staff are always extremely friendly and make you feel welcome. Definitely a place to visit if you’re near Leicester.

Popped in for a nice little munch and I couldn't complain with the portions or taste! 100% recommend if you're in Leicester. Nice seating spaces and family friendly too. Customer services is different here the owner here really goes above and beyond and creates a really comfortable atmosphere. The food is quite creative standard Indian but with a takeaway twist that’s put into box. Quite the legendary place in Leicester and now a lot of people come here from out of town. I would recommend it if you’ve not tried it. Definitely on the list of to try places in Leicester.

Staff need to be more honest and upfront when taking orders. They always ask do we want curry sauce/cheese or other items without giving the clear price. This is a very bad practice and shows the dishonesty of the workers. All the branches in Leicester do this. When you ask the customer whether they want so and so. The price should be clearly stated at the same time. You cannot expect customer to be aware, especially for someone new to the city or for one to be offered something they never have tried before. Just be honest and mention price. Don't ask customer for additional toppings if they are not informed of the price difference.. to deceive someone like this is clearly unethical and wrong. Teach them to say phrases like "would you like curry sauce on top for an extra 95p?" "Would you like to add cheese for only £1 extra" "For extra sauce on the side would be 95p" "Would you like fresh coriander for an extra 25p extra" "Just to let you know Mayo is 30p extra" These are all reasonable toppings which one may believe are included Not met anyone who expects poppadoms/mixed salad/lime pickle to be included. Even tho it can still happen and to avoid it again just mention prices clearly. Not just give a total at the end when it comes paying. And lastly when one requests for a drink to be added, most are aware that it's not included but again one may think its included so every staff needs to clearly say "canned drinks are £1.65, water is only £1 and bottled drinks are £2.25, which one would you like please?" Or "which drink would you like?".... "That would be .... thank you." Admin: I don't need a response from yourself. All I need is to see a change and next time I come I shouldn't see the same dishonesty again. I will delete the review once I see all the branches have progressed and bettered their approach, especially the evington rd one. I will review my feedback again in a month or 2, if no difference is made I'll keep the review on and also write it for the other branches until its sorted. Thank you.

Very yummy even a small box was so filling

Really disappointed with my order. I asked for tikka mutton and received what looked and tasted like cold slices of sandwhich beef! Couldn’t eat it and had to throw it away after paying over £20 for a large box, so over priced!

This is our go to place every weekend without fail. Not only their food is spot on every time but their customer service. So so friendly. The kids absolutely love it. The taste is always the same but when I say this, it always taste like it's the best thing you have had every time you visit. What ever I say about this place does not justify how amazing it is. Not had Bombay Bites in a while. And boy I have been missing out. The Tikka Masala box was out of this world. So much flavour and the meat was tender. I'd personally would go for chips and naan combo. And green chillies and crispy onions is a must. New favourite of mine.

Shocking delivery no names on any of the cartons we all ended up eating each others food some ended up just eating toast. The most expensive toast ever.!! When calling to raise a concern no one could help no offered any appology… if any of us had allergies this would have been dangerous…

Too inconsistent manager or boss speaks to his staff in a poor tone. Food isn’t what used to be

Delicious food and very welcoming staff. I'm surprised I've not heard of this place sooner, especially as the owners have won so many awards, and do a lot for the local community. My wife and I came for a quick snack, so couldn't really sample much, but we hope to come again. Definitely a good place for snacks, but I'd also recommend this place for a hearty meal.

Food was an hour late. Was told after 20 minutes it would be 15 minutes. Missing items when it arrived and was spilling out of the pots. Absolute joke, AVOID!!

I love this place,the flavours were and are still great but last night I technically paid for a box of chips ..minimal chicken and paneer (ive ordered before and this is not how it used to be) I kept digging and was genuinely shocked 😲 please check your portin sizes before you get home and are disappointed

With my order there was very little rice even though I ordered the large. Also I was charged £2 extra for it which doesn't make sense. The box itself was nice but too pricey for what it's worth. Also small cup for £5 is a bit steep too. Large with milkshake ended up costing £18.15

Good food and great service. I had the balti chicken box with rice and naan. The gravies tasted great. The only change I would suggest would be to increase the gravy/rice ratio so we can have more of the great flavors in the gravy. Special thanks for offering a free cup of tea while we waited for the takeaway food!

My good pal turned 33, and we decided to celebrate in style. COD day, 12-12. We get to 5pm, and the birthday boy gets this look in his eyes that gave me chills. He looked dead into my eyes and instantly knew… Bombay Bites. I don’t know where to start- these guys AIN’T playing. Naan, rice, succulent meat and delicious sauces. All four of us just said how incredible it was. Get a box- you won’t regret it. P.S happy birthday to my day one Fabio. We will be back baby. Open some more stores 🤞🏻

Really nice place very clean inside went in with my partner and kids tonight first time trying the food really great can’t fault it children loved it think we were served by Ahmed I think his name was very nice guy very friendly helpful and staff also very kind highly recommended very nice portion sizes just the right amount will be coming back in the future thank you guys I’m literally full loved my paneer and chips ❤️

A place for hermanos to eat curry in a box. Great 'paneer' and decent value. Annoying loyalty card gets 1 stamp a visit - probably to reduce risk of diabetes from it's most obsessed guests.

I’ve been having Bombay bites (city centre) for over 13 years and it’s never disappointed me. This Evington Road branch customer service is brilliant, the food is amazing and full of flavour. My all time favourite box is the old #7, tandoori chicken, mutton, chips and all the sauces.

Had a takeaway last night, was great, however I think the naan bread and chips should be boxed separately.

Was charged £19.95 for a grill and 12 fish pakora. The box had only 5 pakoras and no extras ordered. Watch what you are getting!

We ordered a 5 meal order on the 4th of December and the delivery took 2.5 hours and 4 phone calls. On the last call my husband asked for a discount to compensate as it was then 10pm and the restaurant took his name and postcode and promised a free meal next time as compensation. Tonight we ordered two meals (and explained the last situation and were charged £17 for one meal and given the other free). Order arrived in good time and we let the delivery driver come in to watch the England penalty. When he left we realised one order was completely wrong (containing lamb and chips that were not requested). I called to inform them and they were rude but said they would deliver the correct order. Half an hour later a different driver turned up with a tiny box of food and when I asked where our actual order was he told me he wasn’t coming back, that’s all we are getting and was very rude on my door step. My husband called to complain and they were extremely rude and then hung up on him. We have them so many chances to right their mistakes but they do not care and we will not waste our time and money with such a bad service no matter what the food is like (mostly nice but bad chips and soggy nann) so disappointed and disgusted at the attitude

Great food, served by a very smiley man who was helpful & made food suggestions on our preferences, not seen their curry box concept before so it’s something unique. Only point of improvement is that everything lacked salt, the vegetable somosa & onion bhajee were bland, other than that it was nice and I’ll be back.

The owner is great, helps you a lot, the place is clean. And the food must be very Indian because I feel sick in my stomach. Would like to try it again.

Gorgeous food would wish they would put that they changed the box numbers on deliveroo. Ended up not having my regular number 7 and having something sooo spicy as I didn’t realise they’d changed.

We tried two boxes from here and they were packed with flavour. The man who served as had the most amazing customer service! Slightly on the pricier side but worth it!

We visited Bombay Bites for a quick tea before heading back to our home town. I love their tea and so it tends to be our last stop on our journey home. The owner is so pleasant and caring and made our family feel so welcome- even gave snacks to the children to eat whilst we finished our tea. May his business prosper immensely as he really does deserve it! Thank you!

Hasn't been here in a long time! Was pleasantly surprised that the food is still very good. It helps that you don't need to look at the menu, you can simply advise the gentleman of what you'd like, how hot and they'll get it right! That's customer service! I had a mix of chicken and lamb, with chips, it was saucy, i asked for it to be extra spicy, (which it was!) Can't go wrong! Highly recommended.

It's has a great option of Asian food, very friendly staff and the food taste awesome, with large portions.

Usually come often to visit this place, it was recommended by my friend who made me try a specific box the one we travel for, recently I went without him, and told him to speak to the person behind the counter over the phone, all the guy had to say was he didn't understand yet he agreed and gave me something completely opposite and I didn't like it, so that's me done from here

Pricey but excellent customer service and good food

Really tasty food and the customer service is excellent. I got the tandoori chicken with lamb, cheese on chips and a mix of sweet and chilli. The value is excellent. If I'm around the area again, I would certainly visit again.

A very warm welcome and absolutely fabulous food with excellent service. The owner explained the menu in a superb way and then advised us all on what would suit out taste buds and he was spot on for all 5 of us. My kids actually finished their meals and this doesn't happen often when we eat out so that says a lot about how delicious their food is. The mango milk shake is a treat. I highly recommend this place.

Was greeted by the manager. Given free onion bhajis. Because me and my partner usually go Braunstone gate bombay. But didn't wanna walk into all the drunks on a Friday night. They sorted us right out. Great place to snack or even feast. Cheers guys.

Chicken balti which has left me unable to leave home for fear of an emergency toilet visit. Must have been rotten chicken. Save yourself any horror and avoid this food

The mutton tikka and chicken along with flavour combinations are really great but it loses a star as slightly over priced, Wings and shish kebab are poor and should be avoided, sometimes receive an order with little to no sauce with freshness lacking.

Excellent customer service, have to be said. Food is tasty but pricing could be a little less. If this was much more budget friendly then there's nothing stopping this business. I guess atleast they should put up a student discount. Because the food is great but pricing can discourage people a bit.

I love their food most of the time. There is always a time for improvement. The shop floor was clean when I entered. The staff would greet you as you enter and ask you what you want. They have put the price up and decrease the boxes size to smaller than before. Their food sometimes is not fresh as they should be all the times. I have been eating from this brand from many years now.

It used to be you got a good amount of sauce in your box ... now it seems you have to pay extra for it. There's no warning of this change so I've ordered dry food from them a couple of times! I no longer recommend this place to friends.

REVIEW FROM CANADA! My man Kaleef Kareem brought me to this place several years ago when I was visiting the U.K. I was not particularly hungry, but he insisted and I was glad he did! FANTASTIC PLACE! After weeks of eating the usual fried chicken and doner kebab stuff, this was an amazingly refreshing change. Some of the tastiest fusion food I've ever tasted in my life. I forget what the dishes were called now, since I'm writing this review several years after the fact, but I do remember something about mango chicken and rice. GREAT JOB, BROTHERS! I would love to come back to Leicester just for your amazing food. MashaAllah.

I visited this place after having previously gone a while back but thought why not.. Spent 25 odd pound to feed 2 people which is rediculous considering this is a fast food place . Tipu Sultan restaurant would have been cheaper which is shocking! First things first menu has completely changed and everything even extra garnishes cost more which previously would not have been I understand inflation but wow! I ordered something from the new menu which he said he would make it in the back and that was exactly how I felt the next morning my ‘back’ was finished it been a few days now and it still doesn’t feel the same. There was moments I was contemplating life itself just the thought is making me feel sick right now. Overall for the price there are far better options and choices available and would avoid if you want to sweating profusely and muttering underneath your lips. When hunger strikes avoid Bombay bites !

I ordered tandoori chicken and chips from Bombay bites Evington Road yesterday for the first time. We haven't received the same and we received something else instead of what we ordered. It was not chicken meat, I don't know what exactly it was. I never experienced such a bad situation from anywhere I ordered. I will never order this and I won't recommend this to my friends as well.

We drove an hour all the way from walsall and it was soooooo worth it!! We love this place. Food was amazing. Never had anything like it. They do the best mint chutney in the UK imo! The customer service was above and beyond then any place we have been too. We had our little girl with us,a lovely gentleman gave us free chips for her to munch on which was really nice. Honestly you won't be disappointed. I was left stuffed! Plenty of chicken and naan and chips ratio was perfect. Cant wait to visit again.

Very nice workers and food. The manager gave us free chicken tikka testers because we couldn’t decide, he also checked up on us mid way through the meal and thanked us for coming when we was leaving. Food was amazing! Got the Box 7 and got the mint sauce, chutney and Chilli sauce which was an amazing combo recommended by the staff. Highly recommend this place!

Avoid if you can, this place gave me terrible food poisoning. Small boxes are £8.50 and are tiny… was expecting oodles size small but it’s like half of that. Onion bhaji and chicken wings did not taste fresh at all. Smelt very off… pretty sure the chicken wings gave me food poisoning as they smelt the worst and fresh chicken is not supposed to smell. Will not be ordering again.

My all time favourite food restaurant in the entire Leicester ❤. The staff are ever so friendly and down to earth 👌👌. The customer service is brilliant and the prices. I love the Large Chip Box with Cheese, Beans, Chopped Chillie's and fried Onion's. It's like a Chip Biryani 🤗🤗. It's an extremely friendly and welcoming place to be at 💓💓. There's always some nice music. The atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxing 💓💓. Mr Ahmed the owner is a top guy very friendly and accommodating. All the staff are brilliant ❤❤❤. This is the restaurant where you get the most satisfaction from 👍. It's out of this world. The food is exotic and delicious ❤❤. I will definitley visit again sometime. I've been to this restaurant millions of times. I always come for takeout here every Saturday night 😙. When you eat in this restaurant. The atmosphere and vibe is so lively and comfortable. I used to really love this place but I find they're a bit more hit and miss now. Sometimes you get a good meal other times you get chewy or hard chicken pieces or warm food with barely any sauce. The last time we went we picked the food up and took it home. However when we opened it the boxes were only filled halfway. What's the point in paying for a larger size when you only get enough to fill the small? Tried to message them on social media only to be ignored so... 🤷🏼‍♂️
