Bollywood Xpress in Peterborough

Don’t waste your time and read the reviews. They have clearly shut down. You can still order on the website (luckily it only prompts you to select cash) and then nothing arrives and the number fails. At least shut the website down if you’ve gone out of business to save the hassle of then trying to find food once your order doesn’t arrive.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! I believe they have closed down or gone into administration. Tried ordering from here by telephone, but call just fails. Then tried ordering online, had my order confirmed then said ‘Pending’, waited over an hour and got not updated and no food. Then did some digging and other reviews also said they aren’t doing any orders as well. Luckily they only accept cash online so didn’t lose any money. Have no idea why the site and details are still up. I will try to report this company.

Placed an order a few weeks ago on Just Eat, but it got cancelled a few minutes later. Ordered on the website more recently, but no delivery. Phone number is no longer taking incoming calls.

Ordered on their website and 2 hours it hasn’t came. Looked at Google reviews and more people in the past 4 days also never received food. Not answering the phone so think they’ve closed down and scamming!

Use to absolutely love this place and would only ever order from there. The last 2 times we have ordered, waited hours and the food has never turned up. I think it may of shut down but if this is the case they need to stop taking orders online!

Would not recommend. Ordered 3 hours ago, still no food. Tried calling and can't get through to them.

Food is good. Staffs are friendly. I ordered several times. Donner wrap 🌯 is my favourite. It tastes really delicious 😋 curry and naan was okay not bad. Will order again

Highly not recommend this place, they only serve one size of each dish, you can only choose between mayonnaise and chilli sauce as they don’t have anything else. Their salad is limited to onions and lettuce, their meat is weird taste really hard to describe. I would not recommend this place to anyone

Absolutely awful food from them tonight for our takeaway. Cost us £45 and went straight in the bin! 2 hours to deliver when told 40 minutes. 100% had been microwaved to re heat as the polystyrene containers were melted into the chips and chicken nuggets and bits of it all over the food! 6 pieces of chicken in the passander , special mix biryanis was just mush with no meat in. Garlic nan bread burnt and so hard it would break your teeth if you did attempt to eat it. Onion bharjis hard and burnt. Disgusting all round and could not have eaten it and with all the melted plastic over the food would be dangerous! Rang to tell them and they didn’t care one bit, their reply after I had explained the state of the food was ‘is that it’ they said goodbye and put the phone down! I’m so angry as we have used this place for many years but never again and I would not recommend this place to anyone. I wouldn’t even feed my dogs any of this food.

OMG did not order from this place absolutely disgusting I asked for coconut rice and got huge chunks of lemon zest in it. I also ordered the chicken Tikka Dhansak NO LENTILS GREASY AND NO TIKKA CHICKEN I ASKED FOR IT HOT!! I COULD OF GIVEN IT TO A BABY!!! MY PARTNER ORDERED LAMB ROGAN JOSH NO FLAVOUR I WAS SO ANGRY AND HUNGRY PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.🤬🤬🤬😡

Friendly and very helpful staff

There food is fantastic. Hubby loves a hot vindaloo and these ppl always rise to the challenge. Their specials are very good and worth it. Onion bhaji are 4 small and crisp rather than 2 large greasy ones. I highly recommend ppl to try this takeout.

Delivered to Folksworth! Great quality food - delivered quickly. Extremely helpful on the phone as even though we were outside delivery area for an extra £2 they delivered to us. Great job - we will be ordering again.

Ordered chicken tikka and tried to ring up and order a chicken tikka masala for them to send out the guy was so rude. Rice portion was pathetic. Never order from there again. Always had no problem and all you get is rude staff.

Exceptional tasty, mouth watering curry's .. Plenty of meat in exquisite sauces.. Definitely recommend.

Best Indian food in Peterborough

We were first time users the other night and yes, I see why they have a lot of positive reviews. Friendly people serving tasty food. I'd highly recommend the ROSHUNI Chicken dish, it was possibly the best Indian dish I've ever had. Welcome to Woodston :-)

Youd do well to find a worse curry than this,,,i ordered chicken jalfrezi with rice, it arrived within 15 minutes so was obviously microwaved, far too hot for jalfrezi , 5 pieces of chicken, 4 overcooked and 1 under cooked which i spat out, worse stomach ache for a long time, avoid.

Have always loved this takeaway but tonight it as awful. No salad on the kebab smothered in barbecue sauce when I expected barbecue chicken very disappointing

The best takeaway my family have enjoyed for many many months. What an unbelievable meal. Brother in law Rob is a little bit fussy but they occomodated him really well. Incredibly reasonable. Well done guys! Definitely be back again.

Fantastic authentic Indian food, friendly staff, fantastic service, Covid compliant, food freshly prepared and cooked with authentic techniques and spices , freshly cooked tasty piping hot food, the curries are exceptional well worth trying , if you collect you’re food you can actually see it being cooked as kitchen is open plan

This is a newish takeaway very close to my son. I love India and its food so we tried this one. They are so friendly and helpful with dish selection. Each dish is very different and tastes really authentic. I like hot dishes and they genuinely use different type of chillies for the different strengths. He even gave me some chillies to try the relative strengths. On top of great food their portions are large and at a very reasonable cost. My wife likes medium strength and my son mild ones, there are many different dishes to suite each taste. Their starters are also very varied and I am working my way through them. Highly recommended by someone who loves curries that taste great and are not just hot.

*Really* happy with the food and service from Bollywood Xpress tonight (Saturday). Not used before but they posted on a Vegan Facebook page a while ago so I have been waiting to try them - tonight was the night! Plenty of choice, easy to use on the website to order. Can pay by card or cash. I got a phone call as the order was running slightly late but not by much but then the food was with us shortly afterwards. It was delicious. Decent portion size - I couldn't have eaten any more though but I ate every morsel. 100% will use again and totally recommend. Thank you Bollywood Xpress.

My family ordered from Bollywood express and we were all very impressed with the food and fast delivery service. Even my 4 year old son loved the curry's! My dad can also be very fussy as a vegetarian but loved all the dishes he ordered. High quality and highly recommended

Will only order Indian from Bollywood express as never let down with service or high quality taste. My family love the curry's too. Highly recommended and everything is cooked fresh so you can customize how hot or mild you like the dishes. My favourite is the chef special garlic chilli chicken or mangshoo aloo so would defonatly recommend giving these a try and if you don't like spice just as for it to be mild!!

This has got to be the best Indian takeaway I've ever had. The food is fresh, vibrant and cooked with care. I can recommend the Fish Tenga and the South Indian Vegetarian Sambar with any of the veg side dishes. Beautiful combinations of spice yet not overly powerful. The staff are extremely polite and helpful over the phone, and my food was delivered within 45 minutes. Really impressive!!!!!

Absolutely awesome food every time.

I always get the mixed special kebab roll, and it is the best quality around. The meat is fresh and it is all marinated in nice flavours and spices, it is a lot different to your usual kebabs. Fully recommend

AVOID! extremely disappointing. Ordered two curries, rice, chips, nan lamb starter. The driver couldn't be bothered to get out his car to deliver was sat over the road in the car, when we finally got the order, it was luke warm half portions of slop. The egg rice strange and tasteless. The curry was only half full with only few pieces of meat. Lamb starter 2 very small chops for a fiver lol. These guys are basically charging restaurant prices with smaller portions. The price was disgusting for what we got and the service received was shockingly bad.

Top quality curries. Step up in class compared to your normal take away.
