Bodrum Restaurant in Portsmouth

I am regular customer and emre usually looks after me but past few times I have been the usual staff and emre haven’t been there. No offense but the food was absolutely tasteless. Presented nicely just tasted absolutely off. The moussaka was overly salty and the chips were soggy. Don’t get me wrong give the place a go but it’s dropped in standards for me personally. The new manager/owner doesn’t even look very keen on delivering good customer service seems moody the past few times I’ve been. Crack a smile mate. I won’t be going back ever again.

Food good, service was great toilet clean. But unfortunately if you have a baby or kids need high chairs you need to book first they have only 1 high chair!

He has best chicken grills in Portsmouth 😍

2nd visit before seeing Kinkyboots at the King's 5.30 table booked was lovely relaxing meal very friendly/caring staff, beautiful food again very tasty my daughter had the chicken shnipazal, me Chef's special apricots honey chicken yummy, highly recommend but You Must book Saturday night and they were very busy. Looking forward to next meal.

Amazing staff, fantastic food, incredible atmosphere! We have ordered a 2 people 3 course meal and we ended up suuper full! Our waitress made sure we have everything and recommend very tasty Turkish wine. If you have a chance, you should definitely visit this place!!! 😊

The food took along time to be bought to us with the excuse that 'a whole fish takes a long time'. We would appreciate being told this when we ordered it. They gave us French fries 'on the house' to make up for it however bread whilst we were waiting would have been better. The food when it came was tasty and we enjoyed it but was expensive for what it was. Service was good, except when we asked for the bill that also took a long time as the waiter didn't pass the message on!

Great restaurant with great service. Very friendly staff, been in here with a large party as well, everyones food came out at the same time, staff we're attentive. No one's glass was empty unless they wanted it to be. A great dining experience and great food.

Lovely food amazing friendly staff will definitely visit again

Great Meal, delicious and affordable. We visited Friday night and was very noisy due to two tables of very noisy lads but it didn't ruin the experience.

The place and the staff were very nice and very friendly. The food was tasty. However, the portions were fairly small. For £18 I would have expect more than 4 tablespoons of flaked/chopped up meat on top of a similar amount of babaganouch with a side of rice. I wasn’t expecting a feast but a fair amount of food for the price paid would have been nice.

Really nice place. Starters were good amount just slightly salty. The portion size for the mains were great and everything was cooked to perfection.

I like Portsmouth with the beach, Canoe lake, Gunwharf Quay and others, such a fantastic place. And Bodrum restaurant is matching this beautiful place authentically as Bodrum also is a very popular, touristic sea side city in Turkiye. The staff is friendly, foods are delicious and the service is very good. I recommend lamb shish and Efes beer.

Customer service was good but the food wasn’t anything close to standard Turkish grill. I ordered the platter but it was tasteless , bad presentation, and chicken wing was smelly. From sides, salad was good but sauce, cheese etc was more like supermarket quality. Won’t be coming again!

Popped in for a quick bite before going to a concert nearly. Absolutely fabulous food, cooked really well. I had the grilled swordfish and my friends had lamb, and chicken. Good sized portions, lovely friendly staff and good price. Would recommend and we would definitely go back

Came here for my friends birthday a few weeks ago. I don’t normally leave reviews for restaurants but I was so impressed by Bodrum that I had to. Food and service was 10/10 (the owner served us), lovely and cosy interior inside. Also, they kindly decorated the table for my friends birthday which made it special. Will defiantly be coming back here & recommending this restaurant to others!

Walked in without booking and accommodated despite being busy. Chose a set meku for two. Prompt service with tasty and plentiful food made for an enjoyable experience.

Visited Bodrum with my friends who we haven't seen for 7-8 years. Had a great meet up here after visiting Windsor in the day. The whole experience at the Restaurant was brilliant, if we're down here again in the future we'd definitely book in again 👍👍👍

Excellent food and service, would highly recommend

Absolutely delicious food, I had lamb shank, it takes a while, but we also had starters so it was OK. Lamb shank was so good the meat cooked to perfection, coming out of the bone like butter. I enjoyed a lot.

I can say I've found one of the best Turkish restaurant in UK with a warm and cozy atmosphere, great service and amazing food.

The best Turkish Lamb quverma I have ever had. A beautiful and respected lady welcomed me with a smile and served a wonderful lunch meal. I liked the relaxing Turkish background music and nice internal decoration.

This is the place I would recommend for those who wants to taste the real taste of kebabs! Being Persian and it reminds me a lot of our taste of kebabs back home. The staff are nice and lovely, the place is cosy, and food portions are always enough!

The food was excellent tasting, you could taste the quality, and the prices are quite good too... except beer a £5 for 1/2 a pint. But the food more than made up for it.

Wow what a fantastic restaurant. Lovely staff and amazing authentic food. We shared a meze and could choose all of our dishes from the extensive range. Delicious desserts as well. The rest of the menu looked fabulous. Excellent value. A real find and definitely one to try.

This is just a great restaurant, it is very tasty, served in large portions and cooked masterfully. The restaurant staff were very very friendly. The visit to the restaurant is quite spacious and there is no crowding as in other restaurants. My husband and I decided to come here more often and try our favorite Mediterranean food because the shrimp and lamb were great as was everything else. Thank you, Bodrum

We found this place online via its excellent reviews as we were visiting Portsmouth. The reviews didn’t disappoint, our host was super friendly and the food was amazing. We were a large party and the restaurant was very accommodating and family friendly. The decor was lovely and great for photo taking. We also enjoyed watching the fire as the chef grilled the food.I highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again when in Portsmouth. 5 stars from us. A huge thank you to our lovely host who went above and beyond!

The service was lovely and they catered to requests that the group had. The food wasn’t the best in my opinion…I was full but didn’t really feel satisfied, however other in the party who had other mains said they enjoyed.

Delicious food and a huge range to choose from. I love this type of food and just everything about the meal was gorgeous. Turkish coffee at the end was very good. Staff were fast and competent. Comfortable restaurant and nice atmosphere.

Visited Portsmouth from Suffolk and decided to go out with my partner for some Turkish. Staff were very friendly and I have to say, some of the best Turkish food I've ever had!

The food is lovely, not sure how authentic as I've never visited Turkey but really delicious either way! The staff are really nice, attentive and helpful.

Lovely restaurant with wide-ranging Turkish menu with a bit of Greek (owner is Turkish Cypriot). We visited as a group of 5 friends and had a self-chosen (rather than set) meze of 10 dishes. The portions were ample and the food was well-presented and tasty. Friendly and helpful service, plus authentic Turkish beer!

Overcooked dried chicken, bland old looking salad and tasteless undercooked rice. One of the worst meals I have had in a long time. Furniture and overall decor needs a huge overhaul. The place is tatty and the food is even worst. Avoid at all costs.

Just got back from this restaurant knowing full well I can’t eat another thing, we’ve been here a few times now and never has it failed to please. The staff are friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is very pleasant with gentle background music so you can still talk to people and the food is excellent, I wish I could cook like this. The prices are very reasonable but you must bring an appetite as you do not leave hungry. 5******.

Absolutely brilliant! When booking online, I said that my partner is vegan and I have food intolerances, and the owner phoned, wanting to reassure me we would be catered for, going over the things I can't eat. In the restaurant, he and the staff were attentive, telling us what ingredients were in things, and I had a deliciously cooked salmon; often, because of my intolerances, I have to choose quite bland food, so it was a delight to have something so full of flavour. I'd definitely recommend and I very much hope to visit again soon. Thank you so much.

Missing deposit I booked a table for 10 people as an old business reunion and 15 minutes before we showed up I received a call to say our booking was cancelled due to an unfortunate death of the owner. Of course this was inconvenient for us finding out just as we were arriving as people had travelled far for the reunion but of course couldn't be helped. However I have tried for the last 3 weeks to get in touch with the business by phone calls and visits to obtain my £50 deposit I put down to reserve the table and I have been unsuccessful. The business has been closed since. No one has contacted me either to arrange the refund as I was promised from the person who called me. If they do not contact me soon or take my calls I will be reporting them to trading standards and the Police. Maybe this review will push them to contact me ASAP.
