Piatti discreti e servizio gentile.

My Good Companion Joyce (I am her octogenarian toy boy) popped in here quite casually on the walk from nearby Royal Albert Hall, where we had just marvelled at the sight and sound of Lang Lang duetting at the piano with his beautiful wife, Gina. I cheekily ordered a cup of English tea for two, expecting to be shown the door. But our order was taken with grace and a smile from a delightful waitress, and in the course of polite conversation she informed us it was 'an international restaurant' and I just tossed in the fact that I had taken Joyce to see Lang Lang to celebrate her 89th birthday. We were quietly drinking our refreshing tea when the background music suddenly switched to 'Happy Birthday' and the entire staff came to the table and sang to Joyce, accompanied by spectacular sparklers and a small cake. It was a wonderful gesture and if their food is half as good as their friendly nature then it must be very special. The manager, an Iranian with a lovely, friendly smile and warm demeanour, demanded that Joyce must return on her birthday every year and everything would be on the house. Bocca Lounge, situated directly opposite the History Museum in one of the most sophisticated parts of London.

So visited this place to celebrate a friend’s special birthday on 06/10/23. The ‘theatre’ put on when serving drinks etc was amazing. The food though ‘nice’ certainly did not live up to expectations. The starters were very good but the mains lacked in many ways. The grilled octopus was tough, the plant burger was lacklustre and we were not asked if everything was ok. For the prices this place charges I expected a higher calibre of service. The serving staff had no knowledge of the menu so when asked ‘what the baked beetroot comes with’ the explanation was poor and had to ask her to go and obtain the detail from the chef. For a restaurant that charges premium prices, their staff must be aware of the menu, accompaniments etc. Got a sense this place is style over substance so would suggest the owners review this to understand if you are marketing a premium product, your ‘sales team’ know the products inside out and not just look good. The experience was pleasant but for the prices of food and drink, I unfortunately feel it under-delivered and can do better.

The place looks amazing and inside the restaurant looks really cozy. I was just walking on the street of London when I stumbled on this spot. They had a good hip hop songs on. Shiisha spot is different than the bar. The food and drink presentations I will give this place an A. Shiisha and food are bit pricy in my opinion. However, I honestly think it’s worth of try. Great smoke and I didn’t have to keep asking to light it up. Definitely 4.5 to 5 star rating from me.

Shisha was excellent, as was the food and cocktails. obviously, it's not a cheap place, but nice for a treat or special occasion. I'd definitely go back here.

The staff were amazing and friendly. There was a belly dancer for entertainment with fire breathers and it was quite a show. Me and my friend thought we would check this place out and have some sisha and it was a great spot to do just that. There is not much else around this location we had to walk quite far to get to somewhere with bar areas. The food is very expensive!! Very good quality but i believe a little over priced but the competition in the area is probably similar so cannot complain much.

Lovely light and original food in a lounge setting. Pleasant lunch here with the family after a morning of sightseeing under a blaring sun.

The grand entrance with colorful flowers hanging above lured us inside this stunning restaurant with a great bar. The prices are not the cheapest but a glass of wine (9 euros) was not so expensive considering the surroundings. The service was very friendly.

Very very good restaurant, on weekends it is better to book, but real Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. I advise!!!

Staff is miserable and rude. Absolutely no empathy and warmth. They should be ashamed of themselves . I have a whole lot of hospitality experience and know that a little bit of warmth goes a long way when it comes to families and kids! Went for a quick snack after school with my 11 year old son. No smile whatsoever from the bartender - it almost felt we'd walked into a surgery or an army camp. (And btw the place was empty). Cold and rubbish attitude by the server. Then, asked a woman also standing behind the bar for the bill (couldn't wait to get out), she says, "Almost as obnoxiously as the guy,"I don't work here! " Why are you standing behind the bar, lady?? We are locals but won't go back! Neither will my local friends. Stay away. Teach your staff professionalism. Serving food anyone can do. It's an "experience people are after". All the more problematic if they are "usually" very kind and professional but chose to be rude in front of a child. What a sad local pub.
