Great food fast easy would go again

Only had a drink but nice staff.

Lovely food which arrived quickly, didn’t realise you could bring in dogs so we will be coming more often now. Nice relaxing atmosphere

Returned after a while away as I heard it had new management. Good atmosphere and friendly welcoming staff. Food was very good and we did not feel rushed or uncomfortable. We had a very enjoyable evening and looking forward to returning. We will certainly tell our friends to come here.

Entered the pub to be welcomed by friendly bar staff ordered a drink and was given a specials menu and a Sunday roast menu plenty of seating available wether you want a standard table and chairs or a high bar stool and table I chose bar stool ordered food from the Sunday roast menu and had extras pigs in blankets The food arrived hot and was absolutely delicious the beef was tender and plentiful definitely a place I would visit again

OK to nip in for a quick lunch. Very basic food. I had the curry which consisted a very good size nann bread, a poppadom, rice. The main issue was the 4 pieces of chicken in quite a watery and not very tasty sauce. It certainly wasn't worth the money compared to other places I've eaten the same meal. Was worth a try but don't think I'll be back, sorry.

Top venue fantastic staff always great atmosphere

No food ordered today, just a few drinks. The staff are always friendly and service was quick. We've had food in the past and it was always lovely. It's well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Absolutely love the Bobbin Mill! It's our local, albeit a good half hour walk away. Food is always brilliant and their cask ales are the best in the area. Staff are sooo friendly and cannot do enough to help. Great work guys, you are a super team

Food nice but lacks presentation on pannie bit of garnish would have been nice, tasted nice and was hot staff very friendly and helpful. Not a lot of people in so very quiet was 12.00. Ev changers in car park and lots of offers on menu

Lovely place, I'd not eaten in over a day and a half for my procedure at buckshaw hospital and obviously when done I ran here. The nachos were honestly top quality, wish there was more as I could have eaten them all day! Full of flavour, fresh guac and the desert was lovely and sweet too. Clean place, great family environment and attentive staff who saw to me quickly and took my order. I'd definitely recommend this place!

Such a lovely perfect place only small issue but we didn’t mind the Drinks were missed for a little while due to they hadn’t realised the tickets had come through the online order machine I just asked if they’d realised they had our drinks order to be done they hadn’t and I know that the machines for online orders don’t ping to let you know they’ve been ordered. all good just have them a little nudge that we’d ordered them The food was amazing. Iv been other places where the burgers have been over cooked and are chewy and burned But the cook does the burgers and other food really well the cowboy burger I had was so tasty and still have the juice and wasn’t dry and cooked to perfection very yummy :) Safe pleasant I do how ever have one criticism they are talking to I assume regulars and not paying attention to any one standing at the bar and talking really loudly / laughing with each other while people stand at bar Otherwise. Will definitely be our new place for eating as the place we usually go to has gone very down hill food always cold there The bobbin mill is were we’ve really had a great couple times experience so far love it thanks so much and WILL be going again many times :) Such a nice pub and good atmosphere and very clean Staff quick to clear up finished plate which I love :)

Great service and free tea and coffee for those who wanted a warm drink on a cool night. As it was a Scooter meet.

Atmosphere was lovely and calm, seating area was nice a quiet and away from noisy children as we had requested. Food was brilliant- really tasty, fresh and service was quick and efficient. Good prices and location too.

We had a lovely meal at the Bobbin Mill for my little boys 3rd birthday with our family. The service was fast, the staff were helpful and friendly. The food was to a good standard. We will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Went there twice for lunch and enjoyed. Good pub atmosphere, ample selection of drinks on tap, solid food quality with a reasonably extensive menu by pub standards. Cheerful and friendly staff. Will definitely repeat.

Had mums 72nd birthday meal and the lady running the bar couldn’t do enough for us. My mum has dementia so requires food to be blended etc which the staff were more than happy to do for us, amongst other things. I thought the roast dinner was lovely but maybe a little less pepper as was too spicy for my kids. Other than that 5* all the way. Thank you for making my mums birthday special for her and all my family.

Staff are very friendly and professional. Sometimes the portions are a little small. Occasionally the food is a little cold or the peas over cooked. Overall I think the pub is a very good average due to the offers they have eg 30% off mains and 20% Blue light card discount

Went with family and a friend had a lovely evening meal the food we had was lovely 2 of us had chicken tikka 1 had the ultimate southern fried chicken burger 1 had a bacon salad. All was cooked to perfection.

Staff very good and friendly. Service very quick, starters cleared soon and not long to wait for mains. Which were also cleared quickly, and asked if everything was ok which it was food was lovely.

The staff were great friendly and obliging for the slight tweaks we wanted on the menu. Food good and hot. Only thing table looked a little grubby.

My husband and I took our daughter and son in law there for our daughter’s birthday tea. Service was quick and polite and the young man serving us offered to take a photo for us. Two of us had rump steak , one had fish and chips and one scampi and chips. Everything was very nice. The medium steak was really tender and tasty. We all had desserts too and they were a generous size and very nice.

We received a friendly polite and professional welcome. We were served by a lovely young man who took our food order. This was yesterday lunchtime, Monday 19th February. I don't know his name but I made a point of telling him how helpful and pleasant he was. Our food arrived promptly and was a good size portion and very tasty

Very very slow, only had one chef on at lunch. Food was not as good as I've had previously.

Went today for a family meal, no lasagne, no fish n chips, waited ages for food and it was fairly quiet, oh, no chocolate fudge cake, no where near as good as it used to be, very disappointed which is a shame

We booked for a celebration meal and chose the hunters chicken but after waiting for half an hour for the meal the chicken was at best warm as were the onion rings. We complained and were told that new meals would be cooked. When they came one was just passable but the other was just a dry piece of chicken with a tiny piece of fatty bacon and no cheese or bbq sauce. We were asked if the meal was OK and I was offered some sauce but it was too late, it should have been on the chicken when served. I didn't eat much as it had spoilt the occasion. When we paid my meal was not charged for but the other was full price even though we'd given in a voucher for 30% off when we ordered. It spoiled the day and we will not be going again.

Great clean pub with well mannered staff and attentive however the food portions for the adult dishes where lacking I had the hunters chicken and while cooked perfectly I can't see how the portion justified the £12 price

We both enjoyed our meals and the Marston's Pedigree was a good beer

Even though the bar staff were busy, they still made me feel valued. They knew what I wanted to drink and ensured I was served in a timely manner and the one lady who served me was just lovely even though it was extremely busy

The bar staff were absolutely wonderful, even though they were really busy they made me feel so special. It made the whole experience so good! And the food was prompt and so tasty. The staff behind the bar are a credit to the pub! Thank you x

Pretty average pub menu selection but food was quite good and we all seemed to enjoy our choices. The staff were pleasant and helpful and coped well with a large family group - thank you.

Had our boys birthday here at the weekend. Food was good and good value particularly with their 30% off offer. Staff allowed us to bring our own birthday cake, helped lighting it and even gave us plates to eat it. Great service! Thanks again.

This place has had ups and downs but I just feel that it needs a lot of work doing. We sat at a table tonight where there was rubbish on the shelf - could have been a busy day but the rubbish included Christmas cracker remnants so been there a while. Food quality is on the wane - many items not available, pizzas not as good as they used to be. Dirty glasses. Staff who spend more time focusing on the ‘locals’ whose bad language appears to be tolerated ( I’m no saint but I know a family eating establishment isnt the right place to use that language ) Whilst it’s an ok place to go for a couple of drinks it’s certainly not somewhere I’d pick for a special occasion any longer. A good deep clean wouldn’t go a miss. Pick up the standards - it wouldn’t take much.

Staff were very friendly, went above and beyond to help. Make sure we all ok and didn't need anything else, if we did they got it straight away. Food was great. Can definitely say I will be going back again. All 13 off us. All loved it.

Lovely food - mixed grill. Meat cooked as asked. Staff lovely and were happy to get my partner some extra sauce to go with his food. Had the 30% off voucher which was nice and enjoyed a bottle of wine also. - Hardys rose!

Staff not very engaging slow to clear table considering pub it was empty two of us had the gammon which was so salty we couldn't eat it we brought home for dogs even they wouldn't eat it the peas were like bullets one had hunters chicken which was burnt so all in all very disappointed and sadly won't be returning 😢

Hi bobbin mill was fantastic. Finding the wine a little expensive. Couldnt afford to go every week or even every month but now and again as a treat

Decent place when meal deals are taken advantage of. Regular pricing is also reasonable. Offers great space to hold or host large groups indoors. Pizza isn't the greatest.

Visited Bobbin yesterday with my Auntie and Cousin. The food was excellent and the salad so fresh. I would recommend it to anyone. The only mild complaint was having to go back and forward to the bar every time we wanted desert, drinks etc... We passed on coffees ☕ because it was a hassle. Customers would order more if they had table service. Great food 🎄

Staff were very accommodating and friendly and food arrived promptly and in good time for a table of 10. Empty plates so that says it all! Would definitely recommend we will definitely be back!

A little disappointed we had booked a table in the dog friendly area and turned up on time, there wasn’t many tables taken in the pub and none others in the dog friendly area but they were still had dirty plates etc on from previous guests, the girl that showed us to the table was great she moved stuff round quite quickly and set us up where we wanted. She told us they were short staffed a chef and other staff hadn’t turned up!! We ordered and the service was quite slow, the food was ok but not great. The Yorkshire puddings were crisp and cardboardy seemed to be dried out possibly made and left under heat lamps? By the time we left there was only one other table had people eating and a couple of guys having a drink near the bar, such a shame this could be a reallly good place

I was there for the Christmas Markets last weekend and it was a lovely event raising money for the homeless. A choir, some nice stalls and very friendly staff. The mulled wine and Baileys Hot Chocolates were very cheap and the whole place had a really nice atmosphere.

I attended their recent Xmas markets as I was fundraising for Makants Greyhound Rescue. The whole event was very well organised, we were made very welcome and had a successful fundraiser too. Many thanks to the whole team for a lovely afternoon.

The whole place was warm and cozy, very clean and inviting. The two ladies that served us where really helpful and friendly. The food was lovely and plentiful for a lunch time menu. The price was excellent value for money. We will visit again. Many thanks it was a real treat for us today to be waited on as we are both carers and don't get much free time to ourselves. Ordered off the lunchtime menu (hunters chicken) with drinks and was suprised at the cost. When i got back to the table I went through the price list to find I'd paid too much so when the food came i questioned the high cost, the waitress came back and gave me the print out of the bill (which i should of got when i paid on ordering) and just walked off without going through it. Anyway I'd been charged more than on the lunchtime menu (it was 1pm) when i questioned the higher piice i was told I should of ordered of the lunchtime menu (i thought that was the point of it!) and that they had given me the meal on the main menu which was exactly the same but dearer! And that i should of told them i wanted the lunchtime one. Ridiculous and if that is the case then why don't they ask you if you want the dearer and not the cheaper option?? Just a way of getting more money out of you i guess! Food was very average and not a lot of it served. Won't be going back.

Slight change with having to order at the bar , rather than waiter service. Ordering at the bar was simple and quick. Unfortunately having ordered our meals it turned out that one meal wasn’t available . Food came within a reasonable time and again slight error on meal content which was rectified. Food was ok as were the drinks. Really pleased to have Pepsi max!

Mix grill come prepackaged nonsense rubbish

Came here for my daughters 21st family meal. Booked the table well in advance and sent a msg asking if i could bring cake and banners, no response whatsoever. when we arrived the place was virtually empty. The table we had was dirty, obviously not been wiped down from the previous people. We all ordered and waited, not for very long considering there were 7 of us. Food was poorly presented, i had the club sandwich, the bread was stale and barely toasted, hardly any chicken or bacon and was stone cold. The roast dinners we ordered had two quarters of roast spuds and barely anything else. When we arrived i gave them a cake to bring out after we had finished our meal, both myself and my husband asked for this to be brought out on different occasions, 45mins later i went to the bar to ask where it was, only to be told they were rushed of their feet and they were 'on it' i gave up in the end and asked for the cake back and told them i would do it at home. In summary, just don't bother - especially if its for a special occasion. This was the last of my Daughters celebrations and we can honesty say - it was ruined. Well done Marston's, defo will not be returning.

Fish and chips came with a very soggy batter . Looks the have been cooked a long time earlier . Literally like a soggy piece of bread. All meals on the table didn't seem like they had been cooked fresh to order and probably a lot of microwaving involved. Not bad tasting but not good enough quality

Food and service very good.Very clean. Plenty of beers to choose. Only disappointment was the rockey road sundae. Was more just ice cream. 1 flake and 3 marshmallows .Had better ones at other pubs .But happy to come back again.

The food was delicious, the service was excellent. We arrived on a cold, wet Bonfire Night. Unfortunately, the pub was nigh on empty - everyone was most likely at a bonfire/fireworks display. But the staff were welcoming and chatty. The menu was extensive and competitively priced. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening!

Enjoyed a meal here with family. Gammon, mixed grill and spicy burger. Warm and comfortable.
