Excellent food and service will definitely visit again 😋

Had two mix grills, eggs over cooked, steak tough as a old pair of boots, chicken dry, gammon over cooked and saltie, sausage over cooked and hard felt like there cooked in deep fat Fryer. Children's meal had burger, burger over cooked and bun over toasted, Garlic mushrooms ok, ribs ok. Felt like it was all pre-pack I must say spending £72 which is nearly 6 hours of someone working on minimum wages for food for 3 people (2 adults and 1 kid) you would expect some love to put in to your food, no one came over to ask if was OK, no one to seat you, must say terrible service and it was not busy.

Chef needs to read menu. Hunters chicken, hardly any mozzarella cheese or bbq sauce. Disappointed 😞

I booked a table online for 1pm for 4 of us to celebrate my husband’s birthday. When we arrived no one came to meet us, there was a long queue at the bar with people waiting to order food and only one guy serving. After several minutes, a lady appeared behind the bar so I went up and told her I had a table booked expecting her to show us to a reserved table. She just said she would check in a minute so we continued to wait. Our guests were an elderly couple and the gentleman was struggling to stand for any length of time. The lady never returned but was busy taking food orders from the kitchen. After about 10 minutes I asked her if she had checked my booking and she had clearly forgotten so said she would do so. She returned a couple of minutes later and said to sit anywhere but didn’t offer to find us a table, so clearly there was no record of my booking! We eventually found somewhere and she then came to us and announced that there was an hour wait for food!! Why had we not been told this when we arrived? Needless to say we left and had to find somewhere else to eat. It was an embarrassing disaster from start to finish and we won’t be returning. They obviously had nowhere near enough staff on duty. We had received a leaflet through the door with an offer of 30% off main meals so I predicted it would be busy which is why I booked. Serious lack of communication, organisation and customer service resulting in very disappointed customers!

Just popped into the Bobbin Mill for a valentine's meal but apparently the head chef had walked out today 14/02/25. Charlie whos not the head chef had to offer a reduced menu . The food and service was amazing, thanks Charlie for the lovely cooked meal.

From walking in to leaving all the staff were extremely friendly and the service was incredibly efficient on time and the food was excellent the atmosphere in the establishment was calm and pleasant the staff really couldn't do more for you it was a very pleasurable experience and we will definitely be returning thank you

Had a chicken sunday dinner yesterday i couldn't complain yesterday as my partner was with me .sorry to say the chicken waswhat i call dehydrated the meat was cremated dry but i was quite hungry yesterday and was really looking forward to a nice dinner i never spoke or complained but still needed to post today as while we where eating some one was complaining at the till .i came home and was still hungry and raded the fridge .the building was freezing quite a few people sat eating with there coat on it was not bissy sorry to say the 2st and last time ill be eating here

Visited on a Saturday evening with my family and really enjoyed it. Food was good with minimal wait times, even as it got busier. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Will be returning.

Visited on a Saturday a couple of weeks ago. Was the quietest I have ever seen it. Food was good and service was good. Atmosphere was very flat though because it was nearly empty

A massive thankyou to Mike and his team today. We used the Bobbin Mill today to host our daughters birthday party. Mike went above and beyond to make sure we had everything in place on our arrival. Food also provided by the team which was loved by everyone. The pub has such a great amount of space to host a party !! Thanks guys

Had Xmas Lunch at the Bobbin Mill. Was a little apprehensive after having such a bad experience at an establishment near Leyland centre last year. The service was super efficient and the meal excellent. The young table servers were really on the ball and so very friendly. Well done Bobbin we will be back. ( booking under Mole )

Fantastic pub, can't believe I've never been before, I certainly will be visiting again. Great food (pizzas cooked at the counter in thier stone bake oven which makes them taste beautiful), great beer and even greater prices! What more could you want?

Went for drinks after work, nice set up with different areas to get seated in. Just had a bowl of chips and a cider, good quality. Cider was higher price than others in area.

Not sure if the kitchen had ran out of cheese? My sons lasagne looked anaemic. It has obviously just been microwaved and stuck in the dish. Completely aware that this is how lasagne is made in the majority of pubs however no attempt to make it look appetising, i.e, top it with cheese and stick it under the grill. My hunters chicken was a piece of chicken with no more than a teaspoon of bbq sauce, tiny slither of bacon and no cheese! Expensive and disappointing

Stopped in at the bobbin mill for a quick lunch with my family, the food was beautiful! We all enjoyed our meals, the veggie chilli and chicken & mushroom were amazing! I even indulged in the cookie brownie for dessert, and it really didn’t disappoint😍 The staff were so great too, so cheerful and warming, they really went above and beyond for us! We will definitely be returning again soon! 😁

I visit The Bobbin Mill on a regular basis and i must say that they are the greatest team i have ever seen in a pub. They make us laugh, they are very kind and helpful and really can’t do enough for us, The food is great i do recommend the ultimate chicken burger… i always order an extra chicken gravy 🤫 The kids pizza’s are great value for money and they love them…… What a team what a place!!

Visited first night after moving house, just the right comforting food to settle us after a crazy day with enough atmosphere to make us want to come back. Also visited with my partner for a quick lunch with family, very quiet and friendly.

Had a fantastic vist the atmosphere was great, we had food as a family and everyone one of us enjoyed our meal, I would definitely recommend the pizzas!!! Staff where brill and looked after us during or visit nothing was too much! Great experience cabr wait to come back

I rated it 2 stars because there isn't many vegetarian options. Also the fizzy drinks have been flat the past few times I've been. I get vouchers via email for discount off food but I can't use them due to lack of options

A couple of months ago we celebrated my little boys birthday in Bobbin Mill and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly! Special thanks to Fiona & Janine for all their help and attentiveness. The food (pizza buffet) was a hit and served warm and on time. Even though there were a few events running ant the same time, the atmosphere was welcoming and family-friendly, and the staff really made us feel at home. It’s now our place to go for any celebration and/or eating out.

Five of us had dinner here yesterday. The staff was open and friendly, the food was delicious and everything else was clean and tidy. We liked it!

Lunch starters.. leek and potato soup, breaded mushrooms, mains steak and ale pie, crunchy chicken burger and fries, two drinks £40. Not cheap, not dear, not busy, not overly quick service. BUT lovely, polite staff, decent portions of really tasty food from an extensive menu and spotlessly clean restaurant and facilities. Plus a spacious carpark. Highly recommend.

Disappointed only one draft real ale beer , two others not available even on a Friday afternoon. More worrying this pub chain , Marstons operate variable pricing so pint of bitter (Wainrights) was £5. Same beer that afternoon at nearest other Marstons £4.50. Last Friday same beer £3.65, Tuesday that week same beer £1.72. Emailed Marstons to confirm there variable policy….no reply.

Booked online. On arrival we were told we could sit anywhere. Ordered drinks and food no problem. Food was served hot and fresh. Service was good. No complaints. This is a pub we keep going back to as the food is good and value for money. Sometimes wish there was a couple of different beers on offer as many a time there is only one.

Returned after a while away as I heard it had new management. Good atmosphere and friendly welcoming staff. Food was very good and we did not feel rushed or uncomfortable. We had a very enjoyable evening and looking forward to returning. We will certainly tell our friends to come here.

Entered the pub to be welcomed by friendly bar staff ordered a drink and was given a specials menu and a Sunday roast menu plenty of seating available wether you want a standard table and chairs or a high bar stool and table I chose bar stool ordered food from the Sunday roast menu and had extras pigs in blankets The food arrived hot and was absolutely delicious the beef was tender and plentiful definitely a place I would visit again

Went in with my dad during the euro’s which were fantastic so decided to go back for a meal over the weekend. Once again the staff were fantastic nothing was too much trouble. OK to nip in for a quick lunch. Very basic food. I had the curry which consisted a very good size nann bread, a poppadom, rice. The main issue was the 4 pieces of chicken in quite a watery and not very tasty sauce. It certainly wasn't worth the money compared to other places I've eaten the same meal. Was worth a try but don't think I'll be back, sorry.

Absolutely love the Bobbin Mill! It's our local, albeit a good half hour walk away. Food is always brilliant and their cask ales are the best in the area. Staff are sooo friendly and cannot do enough to help. Great work guys, you are a super team

Food nice but lacks presentation on pannie bit of garnish would have been nice, tasted nice and was hot staff very friendly and helpful. Not a lot of people in so very quiet was 12.00. Ev changers in car park and lots of offers on menu

Lovely place, I'd not eaten in over a day and a half for my procedure at buckshaw hospital and obviously when done I ran here. The nachos were honestly top quality, wish there was more as I could have eaten them all day! Full of flavour, fresh guac and the desert was lovely and sweet too. Clean place, great family environment and attentive staff who saw to me quickly and took my order. I'd definitely recommend this place!

Such a lovely perfect place only small issue but we didn’t mind the Drinks were missed for a little while due to they hadn’t realised the tickets had come through the online order machine I just asked if they’d realised they had our drinks order to be done they hadn’t and I know that the machines for online orders don’t ping to let you know they’ve been ordered. all good just have them a little nudge that we’d ordered them The food was amazing. Iv been other places where the burgers have been over cooked and are chewy and burned But the cook does the burgers and other food really well the cowboy burger I had was so tasty and still have the juice and wasn’t dry and cooked to perfection very yummy :) Safe pleasant I do how ever have one criticism they are talking to I assume regulars and not paying attention to any one standing at the bar and talking really loudly / laughing with each other while people stand at bar Otherwise. Will definitely be our new place for eating as the place we usually go to has gone very down hill food always cold there The bobbin mill is were we’ve really had a great couple times experience so far love it thanks so much and WILL be going again many times :) Such a nice pub and good atmosphere and very clean Staff quick to clear up finished plate which I love :)

Atmosphere was lovely and calm, seating area was nice a quiet and away from noisy children as we had requested. Food was brilliant- really tasty, fresh and service was quick and efficient. Good prices and location too.

Went there twice for lunch and enjoyed. Good pub atmosphere, ample selection of drinks on tap, solid food quality with a reasonably extensive menu by pub standards. Cheerful and friendly staff. Will definitely repeat.

Had mums 72nd birthday meal and the lady running the bar couldn’t do enough for us. My mum has dementia so requires food to be blended etc which the staff were more than happy to do for us, amongst other things. I thought the roast dinner was lovely but maybe a little less pepper as was too spicy for my kids. Other than that 5* all the way. Thank you for making my mums birthday special for her and all my family.

Staff are very friendly and professional. Sometimes the portions are a little small. Occasionally the food is a little cold or the peas over cooked. Overall I think the pub is a very good average due to the offers they have eg 30% off mains and 20% Blue light card discount

Went with family and a friend had a lovely evening meal the food we had was lovely 2 of us had chicken tikka 1 had the ultimate southern fried chicken burger 1 had a bacon salad. All was cooked to perfection.

Staff very good and friendly. Service very quick, starters cleared soon and not long to wait for mains. Which were also cleared quickly, and asked if everything was ok which it was food was lovely.

The staff were great friendly and obliging for the slight tweaks we wanted on the menu. Food good and hot. Only thing table looked a little grubby.

My husband and I took our daughter and son in law there for our daughter’s birthday tea. Service was quick and polite and the young man serving us offered to take a photo for us. Two of us had rump steak , one had fish and chips and one scampi and chips. Everything was very nice. The medium steak was really tender and tasty. We all had desserts too and they were a generous size and very nice.

We received a friendly polite and professional welcome. We were served by a lovely young man who took our food order. This was yesterday lunchtime, Monday 19th February. I don't know his name but I made a point of telling him how helpful and pleasant he was. Our food arrived promptly and was a good size portion and very tasty

Very very slow, only had one chef on at lunch. Food was not as good as I've had previously.

Went today for a family meal, no lasagne, no fish n chips, waited ages for food and it was fairly quiet, oh, no chocolate fudge cake, no where near as good as it used to be, very disappointed which is a shame

We booked for a celebration meal and chose the hunters chicken but after waiting for half an hour for the meal the chicken was at best warm as were the onion rings. We complained and were told that new meals would be cooked. When they came one was just passable but the other was just a dry piece of chicken with a tiny piece of fatty bacon and no cheese or bbq sauce. We were asked if the meal was OK and I was offered some sauce but it was too late, it should have been on the chicken when served. I didn't eat much as it had spoilt the occasion. When we paid my meal was not charged for but the other was full price even though we'd given in a voucher for 30% off when we ordered. It spoiled the day and we will not be going again.

Great clean pub with well mannered staff and attentive however the food portions for the adult dishes where lacking I had the hunters chicken and while cooked perfectly I can't see how the portion justified the £12 price

Even though the bar staff were busy, they still made me feel valued. They knew what I wanted to drink and ensured I was served in a timely manner and the one lady who served me was just lovely even though it was extremely busy

The bar staff were absolutely wonderful, even though they were really busy they made me feel so special. It made the whole experience so good! And the food was prompt and so tasty. The staff behind the bar are a credit to the pub! Thank you x

Pretty average pub menu selection but food was quite good and we all seemed to enjoy our choices. The staff were pleasant and helpful and coped well with a large family group - thank you.

Had our boys birthday here at the weekend. Food was good and good value particularly with their 30% off offer. Staff allowed us to bring our own birthday cake, helped lighting it and even gave us plates to eat it. Great service! Thanks again.

This place has had ups and downs but I just feel that it needs a lot of work doing. We sat at a table tonight where there was rubbish on the shelf - could have been a busy day but the rubbish included Christmas cracker remnants so been there a while. Food quality is on the wane - many items not available, pizzas not as good as they used to be. Dirty glasses. Staff who spend more time focusing on the ‘locals’ whose bad language appears to be tolerated ( I’m no saint but I know a family eating establishment isnt the right place to use that language ) Whilst it’s an ok place to go for a couple of drinks it’s certainly not somewhere I’d pick for a special occasion any longer. A good deep clean wouldn’t go a miss. Pick up the standards - it wouldn’t take much.

Meal came cold . They re did the meal and it was ok. Service was great though . Place was cold although it was freezing 🥶
