We visited Preston to have breakfast at our favourite eatery but, alas, it had closed. We did, however, discover Bob & Berts just across the way on Fishergate. What a superb breakfast and the coffee is excellent. We highly recommend it.

Listed today to find the majority of gluten free options have been removed. We had come as a team which was the only reason I stayed. The service was slow. Such a pity about the reduced options. Sadly I won't be returning and the team are looking for a new lunch venue.

I visit the Costa Coffee shop in St George's Shopping Centre in Preston on a regular basis and it is always a most enjoyable experience. The Costa is in the centre of the shopping centre in what is known as the Bull Ring. There are ample places to sit. I have the breakfast tea and it is always of good quality. It is reasonably priced as well. The staff are friendly and helpful and the service is quick and efficient. There is a good selection of drinks at the Costa Coffee shop in St George's Shopping Centre in Preston. There is also food available as well at the Costa. I would recommend a visit to the Costa Coffee shop in St George's Shopping Centre in Preston. Very friendly staff here, can't do enough for you, would say that sometimes the amount of the different items is lacking, specifically the pastries & cake

I am not one for writing reviews however Walter at the Costa coffee shop in St George’s Shopping Centre is an absolute gem and deserves every credit. His warm demeanour and genuine kindness make my every visit a delight. Not only does he serve up fantastic coffee, but he also brightens your day with his friendly attitude and good intentions. A true asset to the Costa!

Disgusting food. Had eggs Florentine. One piece of bacon dripping in fat and half of it was fat rind. Tasted like it had been cooked on a dirty grill. I only ate half and have felt ill since. Whilst I was in conversation the waiter had taken my tray which had drinks on that weren't finished. Will not be going again.

No idea how this place is still open. Counted 6 flies sat on the brownies which I highlight to a member of staff to which their reply was "we've called pest control" - so they can't walk 4 shops down in the mean time for some cling film or glass bowls to cover the food??? All of our coffees were BARELY lukewarm. The meat in the sausage roll was so hard that you could barely chew it. The girl making the Coffee is unbelievably miserable and the plates and cups that were outside were still left on our table the whole time we were sat out. All of this within the space of around 25 minutes. This is the 4th/5th Bob and Berts I've been to and I've never seen anything like this in the others. It really let's the company down and this branch and the staff should be inspected asap.

We attended after my wife had been to the Blackpool branch and was highly impressed. The first lady we spoke to who took our order was lovely and helpful. But from there it was down hill. My wife ordered the posh beans like she did in Blackpool, being autistic she sticks to "safe foods" which are ones she knows. The posh beans came coated in chilli flakes? No where on the menu did it mention chilli flakes? And also no cheese! My wife had to wait in the queue with her plate and was ignored by several other members of staff until she got to the front of the queue. She explained to the server after a bit of reluctance we were told a new batch would be made. We thanked the server and waited. The next batch came with no hash browns which were paid for as extra. So given my wife doesn't like conflict she started eating whilst I went to enquire about the missing hash browns. The female server acted like I'd just asked her to do a 100 press ups! It seemed the biggest task in the world to ask about the hashbrowns? She asked through the pass and the chefs looked at each other like it was another language being spoken. Eventually 2 hash browns were given to us. The bread that the posh beans were served on was wet with oil. It was that soggy I think a duck would turn its beak up at it! In the end we got up and left. As my first experience in bob&berts I will be in absolutely no hurry to go back. Was about £15 each for both of us to eat/drink with attitude/eye rolls from the servers and soggy food that had to be corrected twice. We also gave a tip which looking back I wished I had claimed back!

Booked but didn’t need to as there was plenty of spare tables : you could order via an app but we ordered at the bar.Fair choice of drinks but having only one size for sparkling drinks! Bring honest the starters of garlic and cheese bread wax a total let down even for the price! Mains however of Jerk Chicken and another chicken dish was near perfect and value for the price. Some lovely staff were attentive and friendly. Overall decent visit

This restaurant is slightly off the main shopping street in the city and at first glance down the street it looked a rather gloomy area at night, but we were totally surprised with the decor and size of the place. The staff were very attentive...

A busy lunchtime, but despite other reviews the service was very attentive and timely. Lots of choice and variety on the menu...we opted for mackerel and beetroot salad and the salmon and crayfish salad. Both absolutely delicious, very fresh and generous portions. Blackcurrant and lemon posset dessert was to die for! Very good and already looking forward to our next visit!

After finding out both of the Chinese buffets had been closed we wandered upon this little place, so we thought we'd give it a go . What an absolute mistake that was. Our first clues should have been that the place was empty, our second clues should have been that the menu is only in Chinese with very little English on it, our third clue should have been when the waiter was unable to translate what was on the menu. Our fourth clue should have probably been the first three things we asked for they didn't have .So once we had deciphered the menu we had to wait a considerable amount of time to actually get the meals and when we did my partner's came considerably sooner than mine, I was left telling him to eat because the gap was so large his was getting cold. He had some sort of soup and sweet and sour chicken. When mine came I was in utter disbelief . My lamb kebabs were the most skinniest, minimalist things I don't even think I could have called it a kebab! More like strings of meat and they were considerably spicy which was not mentioned in the menu (in the little english it had) or waiter. It was about this point when they showed up with the drinks we had ordered more or less when we came in, they did apologise to be fair that they'd forgot but considering we were the only people in the restaurant I'd figure we were pretty hard to forget about, they didn't offer glasses either. 5-10 minutes later they show up with my apparently 'roast potatoes', crisps, we call them. It genuinely was as if they'd emptied some walkers into a bowl and popped them under the grill. To my dismay two Chinese looking gents walked in and their meal looked absolutely amazing! Also, I hope you can eat with chop sticks as no other cutlery was provided (even for very sloppy looking noodle soup)Their English was very poor, so poor they couldn't even translate their own menu I think they should really consider taking some English lessons considering they are so close to the university and would have so much potential for business from it .The whole meal itself cost just shy of £29 and I left hungry, disappointed and in utter disbelief, I am genuinely surprised my partner paid for it I thought he would have put in a complaint and told them not a chance in hell. You could not pay me to return to this place and I wouldn't recommend it as far as I could throw it.
