Bluemoon Restaurant & Takeaway in Wokingham

We were 6 of us (4 adults and 2 kids) and had chosen both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. All of them were freshly prepared and were really tasty. The spice levels were exactly the level as indicated on the menu card. Service was excellent and very friendly. Highly recommend the place.

Ordered a takeaway direct from Bluemoon. It turned up bang on when indicated and the meal was still lovely and warm. We ordered four different varieties and also side orders, rice and naan bread. All were delicious and each was a different taste experience. The spicing was great for me on the warmer dishes... No complaints at all. I bring this up as some restaurants selling hot / spiced dishes served something without much heat at all. Kudos to the chef. I would definitely recommend Bluemoon for a takeaway. It was a cut above many we have tried locally in Reading. Our new go to I think👊🏻👍🏻

Focussed on the great service and delicious food rather than the restaurant decor but best biryani I’ve ever had, great portion sizes too. Will be back!

Don't judge a book by its cover. The service is excellent, surpassed only by the delicious and filling food. Too busy enjoying and forgot to take photos. Recommend!

A review of some hits and misses. The lamb palak had great flavor and depth, and was definitely a house special, although the lamb was not the best quality with some gristle. The chicken tikka masala, however, was barely a standard tikka masala, included coconut in the sauce, a deep red color and no real spice characteristics. The naan bread was also just ok, and certainly was not cooked in a red hot tandoor. The service was very friendly and pleasant and the prices were very reasonable.

This place is a hidden gem, based in Woodey around a housing estate, you wouldn’t think much of it. The food and service was just incredible, the best Indian takeaway in the area. Unfortunately delivery is slightly limited so had to collect but only a 5min drive from Winnersh and totally worth it.

Absolute pleasure dining here tonight. Service and food were exceptional. This is only a small restaurant but wow it packs a punch. Will definitely come again . Thank you and well done .

Found the Bluemoon takeaway and restaurant on google maps. We were looking for somewhere that was open quite late. We really enjoyed our time there, small and intimate space with excellent service and friendly faces. Generous portions and excellent value for money.

Our first Indian dinner in Reading. Small restaurant but delicious food. Just find in Google map. We make good choice and love the restaurant.

Ordered food - arrived 2 hours later cold. Usual excuse driver has been in an accident they will send a taxi to deliver. The delivery driver was not a taxi so was obviously telling lies I would not order again.

Delivery Late only by 10 minutes No naan with balti like other restaurants and one curry spilt in the bag.

We used to use a local Indian takeaway but stumbled across Blue Moon. Wow! The lamb Palak (saag) is beautiful and the chicken bhuna too. We live quite a way from this restaurant in Brybur Close, Rg2 but would not use anywhere else now!

Very delicious food and good prices. Not oily and everything tasted amazing. New chef apparently, wish I live closer and I would be here all the time. Veg dishes nice selection and meat very tender and nice looking quality

This was the first time I have ordered from the Blue Moon and I chose it because of the great reviews. I am new to the area and rely on the reviews to let me know where to eat. I ordered the curry and paid at 5.41pm on a Sunday evening and by 6.09pm I was serving food for myself and my partner. The chap arrive at my door with a huge smile which was lovely. The food was very good and the chicken korma and the onion bhaji, were excellent. If I was looking for anything negative and this was probably my mistake, the lamb Dansk was too hot for me, I am more of a mild curry rather than a medium. Would definitely order from here again

Don't be put off by the outward appearance, the cuisine is excellent.

My first takeaway from Bluemoon and it was delicious! I did ring up to mention they forgot to deliver the rice I had ordered, but mistakes happen and they sent the portion out immediately and it was with me before I could even finish my Poppadoms and Bhaji. Great customer service and great food! Thanks very much!

Lovely food, great staff, I will come again. Tip- no licence to serve alcohol so we had to go next door and buy our own. Great little secret in Woodley.

As always, a lovely curry in a nice restaurant. You are always sure of a warm welcome. I would highly recommend the South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken.

Nice, it was very genuine, cooked from the heart. My wife wanted hot!, and it was, I wanted mild, and it was, fried rice was amasing, soooo good. It’s less western oriented, and I think it benefits from that as they fit nicely between both worlds. Give it a go, you may be presently surprised.

Place doesn’t look like much for dining in but you absolutely should! Food was amazing and authentic. Definitely coming back!

I was staying in Winnersh Triangle for work for a week and happened to come to Bluemoon for dinner one night. The food is fantastic. If you are staying at any of hotels near the train station, it is definitely worth the walk.

Yes! This is the place to go. The food was amazing and there were chef special dishes that we had seen nowhere else. The service and atmosphere were relaxed and unhurried leading to a great experience of dining in. Make a point of booking a table.

So yummy. I took a chance on this as it's in a little parade of shops near to my home. I am so glad I did! I normally pay for Indian through just eat or ubereats to get my food delivered. I decided to give this a go and I must admit was a little hesitant as I am loving my regular. I have now found a brilliant little Indian, great parking, food is delicious and hot. Been going to this restaurant for many. Always had fantastic food with unbelievable service if I could give it 10 stars I would.

Firstly at the moment Google has wrong location. If going use the post code. The food though is incredible. The staff are great. Back to the food got to be the best I've had for a long time. The South Indian garlic and ginger lamb was my favourite. Going to be my new go to dish.

Had our 2nd take away last night and it was as good as the first . Lovely tasty hot food tender meat no gristly bits .. Certainly recommended. Thank you very happy
