Bluebird Cafe in Arun

Really great seafront cafe. A hidden gem, obviously popular with local dog walkers and it was a full house on a Monday lunchtime. Service was fantastic and the food selection was spot on. Highly recommended 👍🏻

The BlueBird Cafe has a great range of food and drink options and the service is very efficient. We were seated and then eating and drinking in under 15 minutes. The staff were really friendly too.

It was very busy, hard to get a table but we did. The food was lovely, and the service was great considering how busy they were. we thought there would be a long wait, but there wasn't food was out in about 15 mins

Shame about the condescending and rude staff when there's a fault with your order as the food is wonderful.

I have eaten here a number of times. Today with friends we had a great value brunch with a glass of wine, which was lovely. I had booked a table in advance to ensure we could sit inside if the weather wasn't so good. The sun came out and it proved to be very busy outside, but sitting inside was pleasant and comfortable. Good food and good service as always, so well worth a visit.

Loved having a cuppa and a sandwich at this friendly beach cafe. Always good after a walk on the beach too. It's been a favourite for so many years and we get there as much as we can.

The location is terrific, the food is excellent, the service is consistently good and the value for money is difficult to fault. If you can find a daytime venue that suits you better..... great, I'll get served even quicker. }•>

The fish and chips there is stunning. They also have an assortment of pastries and cakes. The wait time isn’t too long and there is a lovely view of the sea from there. There are also many great walks to do from there.

Only recently found this place, right on the seafront, but away from the normal hustle and bustle. Good selection of food, and open longer hours than most.

I came out to lunch with two friends, one who lives locally, and was brought here for the first time. How fantastic to see it so busy, and what a treat to be beside the seaside (not been to any seaside for over 50 years!, being a city boy). Staff were fantastic and so welcoming, Amanda and all. Food was superb. My king prawn, chorizo and avocado salad was devine! Mug of tea, brilliant! Being able to smell the sea air was a unique experience and one I definitely won’t be waiting another 50 years for! A round trip of 120 will be worth it, and I’ll do it again on my own. Well done to the entire team and congratulations on great food, excellent service and a great atmosphere!! Long may you be blessed with many customers, health, wealth and happiness.

It's a very nice café right on the beach with decent food, but it gets very busy. I was lucky to get a table here for brunch so reservations are recommended. I had a small breakfast which was served with a big portion of chips. Inside it has very nice decor and good clean, toilets. There is also a takeaway hatch on the other side of the café.

I highly rate the Bluebird Cafe , the staff are friendly, polite and kind !!, the food is great as I te do to go for brunch with my daughters !.. Coffee is great !!, so I highly recommend it !!

What a lovely find. Really busy when we came on a hot bank holiday but nevertheless service was really speedy and with a smile. We had fish and chips again pretty damn good! We followed on with an ice cream cone yet again pdg.

If I could I would give no star at all. We ordered fish and chips to go. We got a buzzer and waited right outside the orders window. An hour later there was still nothing. We asked and it turns out our order was lost. Everything is fine, it can happen. But instead of apologizing and offering us compensation such as ice cream, a drink, etc., everyone just looked funny. As I said, we stood the whole time within sight of the staff we ordered from. While we waited we joked around in the kitchen and ate ice cream. Simply outrageous. Nothing special in terms of taste.

This place is truely special. You can't beat it's location on the beach and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. It's our favourite place. Thankyou Bluebird!

Can’t comment on the food but after a 45 minute walk specifically to go and eat there they were closed. Closing time states online and outside 8pm. We arrived at 6:45pm.

Easy to order direct from your table using the app which was great as I was on my own and would have lost my table as sooo busy. Food was nice

This Cafe is a little Gem of a place situated right on the Ferring coast line. If you know Ferring then you know about the Bluebird Cafe. Perfect for Dogs and people, fantastic people and superbly Efficient. Thank you.

We have been to this cafe a few times now and it's such a lovely place in a relaxing setting. The staff are really polite and friendly. Parking can be a bit of a pain as it gets full , but we have managed to get a space each visit (weekends).

I currently cannot eat carbs so instead of Fish and chips I ordered a small portion of fish, a beefburger (no bun) and salad. The burger was dry and overdone, the fish was about 3cm sq and salad consisted of 1 green leaf, 2 slices of tomato, a slice of gherkin and onion shaving. Expensive too. We had driven 15 miles for supper on the beach on a pleasant summer evening. Very disappointed. Lady who served us was lovely. We didn't complain at the time but on reflection should have.

Shocking customer service. Do not cater for people with allergies and nothing on there website to say they change the menu from 5:30pm onwards. I have an egg allergy and all they could offer was a goats cheese salad. We made a special trip for a family members birthday and it’s ruined the day. Won’t be coming again

Great cafe on a lovely beach. Watch the tides come and go. Enjoy the sky. We swim and read books all day fuelled by teas and Cheesy Chips from the cafe. They have a wide menu and great service. Quite busy at the Cafe sometimes but great. Park in the town and walk past the nice houses if the carparks too full.

If the queue is big, don't panic as the team are flippin efficient and rattle through taking orders! The car park is a little bit of a bun fight (in a nice way!), so if you can, bring a motorbike... 🤣🌞🏍 Update: they are still open, still happy, still good food, even on cold, windy "summer" days... upside of coming in bad weather is the car park and beach are empty! 🤣

Relatively long wait for food, but not unexpected given how busy it was. Lack of visible staff away from counters and tables weren't being cleared.

A very busy place serving great food at pace. Had a lovely chilli prawn salad sitting outside in the sunshine.

We arrived on Saturday 10th August at about 3pm and ordered a drink and cake, didn't have too long to wait...but when the chap gave us our drinks he put his fingers all around the top of the mug.. perhaps a bit more training needed, .. hope this can be helpful...Jan.

Great place, well run and proper service. At a time when it's too common to get rude, slow service at a venue Ike this - which could just rely on volume because of it's superb location - it's lovely to see the team make an effort, even when it's crazily busy and hot. Well done. Oh, and the food is top notch too.

Fab cafe on the beach. Lots of tables inside and out - many outside under shelter so out of the wind and rain and sunshine on a hot day. Bacon sandwich is lovely and good value. Also the sausage egg and bacon sandwich is only £1 more than the bacon sandwich so great value. Lovely back bacon in granary and hp sauce. Decent coffee and lots of staff serving so even though it was a very busy Saturday morning, we were served promptly and drinks and food didn't take long at all to arrive at our table. Definitely my favourite cafe in the area and large car park behind although we walked from goring which makes you feel like you've earnt a decent pit stop! If you're in the area, well worth the visit!

Don't think I've ever seen staff work so hard....the place is teeming. And they're just calmly serving everyone, inside and out. Great food, lovely beach. Nice clean loos. Excellent.

We visited Bluebird Cafe today and had a pleasant visit. We arrived at 10 45am (Friday) and although the car park is big it was almost full. (The car park is free and right next to the beach, behind the cafe). We booked our table which I'd recommend doing as it was quite full when we arrived and lots of tables were already reserved. The vegan options are great - I had the Vegan Brekkie (£12 approx) and a coffee with soya milk (additional 40p for dairy free milks). Lots of outdoor seating available. Staff were nice and the toilets were clean. I would have given a full five stars if they'd had dairy free ice cream options! There are ice lollies available, however. Good food, decent prices, free car park and a beautiful beach. Will definitely be coming back again soon.

Really lovely cafe with a great range of food and drink, right alongside the beach. Wonderful friendly service too - and very dog friendly with a range of dog treats on-sale alongside the human food. A nice touch. Recommended.

Good breakfast options and really tasty. Book if you want to sit inside.

More to the cafe better lay out and good food lots to eat clean and tidy now lots of seats by the sea ferring .

Very average not generous expensive chicken Caesar salad. Felt robbed. We took it to the beach or I would have returned. Super expensive for what it was. Shame. The staff are all so good here felt sorry for them serving such substandard over priced food. Embarrassed to serve to my guest.

From the Hatch - Fish n chips x2 given large portion but were not, fish ok, chips not brilliant get better from George V fish n chip shop, 1 coke, 1 coffee, x2 choc bars x1 mushy peas = £38, overpriced. Best thing the view, won't be going back there to eat.

After walking along The English coastal path from Littlehampton to The Blue Bird Cafe a very walk we called into the cafe for a lunchtime snack we had toasties Brie Cranberry on Brownn bread served with a leaf salad very enjoyable with cups of peppermint tea busy place with plenty of staff that provided a quick service Well worth a visit.

Haven’t been for years. Great bacon sarnie and lovely toast. Good hot coffee. Service and friendly staff excellent. Only thing that spoilt it slightly was the yappy dog that the owners seemed unconcerned about! Stunning views.

Sunny beach front cafe. The location is everything. Food etc. All ok to good but it's the location that will being you back.

Not only when we were seated but throughout our stay. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so welcome and comfortable anywhere globally than the Bluebird cafe. The biggest thank you that is possible to you and your staff. Ps. Ned enjoyed his treats as well. Someday we’ll e back . Thank you for being so kind and considerate in what was obviously a very busy and stressful time for you and your team x

This is my local and I visit several times a week. It’s a beautiful location, the staff are friendly and the service is generally very impressive even on busy days. There is a good selection of food and also a vegan menu. The gluten free options could be a lot better though as the bread in the pre-cut / packaged, dry stuff. There are so many great options available from local bakeries now. I’ve recently discovered a dairy and gluten free seeded loaf from coburn & bakers which are based in Brighton and who deliver weekly to Rassasy. Please improve your gluten free options so they don’t feel like such a compromise 🙏💛.

Regularly meet a group of friends here. Vegan options are great, food always good and staff lovley and friendly. Lovley spot for a walk also.

We took a break here. Very, very nice staff, very accommodating. Cream tea was tasty, tea was good, view was good. Dog friendly. We will be back.

Love this cafe. Normally stop there for lunch on our walk from Goring to East Preston and have their superb bacon brie and cranberry toasties, but this time tried the fish and chips which were also seriously nice.

Nice location along the sea front. Club sandwich portion was enough two. So no complaints. Food came out super quick. Friendly staff too. Only negative would that the tables are packed together quite tightly. So not much space when it's full.

Very busy inside and out, which is a good sign the carpark was very full but not under the cafe control but something to bear in mindvon busy days. Ordering was fast and they found us a table inside with our dog. Food was good so was the coffee.

We use to go once a week before Covid, personally I don’t like the booking system, on arrival approx 1/3 full. No pies anymore so had a jacket potato as unable to have, cheese, batter. Unfortunately the potato needed quite a bit longer cooking time, i asked for more butter due to the potato being firm, they obliged buy didn’t offer me another, my friends were firm also. My husband had the burger, which I’m told was nice, but the bun was so small the burger wouldn’t stay in. Then after we had been there 1.30 mins we were told they needed the table, they had given us an extra 15 mins already. We had one course and as soon as we finished that I got a round of coffee. Good job we didn’t want dessert. So Unfortunately we will not be back
