Bluebells continues to provide an incredible experience, adding a delicious and creative twist to every menu item—difficult to find anywhere else. The service is faultless from start to finish, and each new season’s menu is better than the last!

The food is excellent. We didn't like having to leave our table after 1.5 hours knowing that our table was reserved for 2 hours under the pretext that the next customers had arrived.

This is our favourite restaurant and we go frequently. The food is always good, with imaginative and delicious combinations and sauces. John is an excellent manager and I’m reviewing it now in response to the previous review with the father visiting with a 3 year old. Children do go if they are older and well behaved but it’s mainly for adults and isn’t the place to take a noisy child.

Friendly and polite staff, fresh orange juice is lovely, comfortable place.

Avoid if you are a family. Just left. Great food and service. Owner asked us to leave as my 3 year old daughter was “too loud for other customers”. She was just enjoying herself after eating her dessert. Ruined our first and last experience.

Where does One start ? From arrival to departure this restaurant exceeded expectations, the initial greeting was warm followed by super attentive service all the way through the evening. The food was of at level I have not had in quite a while , fresh , perfect presentation and delicious ! I cannot recommend highly enough . Well done ! 👌

We celebrated our 10th Anniversary in business at Blueblells. We had a glass of champagne awaiting us on arrival the service, atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed. Surprise celebration chocolates were given to us, nice touch. Thank you John. Staff pristine, well dressed and friendly. Touch of lux. We loved our first visit. Reccommendation to have the Sunday roast and strawberry mojito cocktail 🍸

My wife and I have visited Bluebells 3 or 4 times before and, based it always being good, chose it for my birthday celebration dinner. We were a group of 10 - family and close friends. I have been to this fabulous restaurant a number of times and it never disappoints. This time was even better - the new summer menu is amazing. Fresh, innovative and immaculately cooked and presented - can't wait to try more dishes. The service however is a master class in how a restaurant should be managed and run. John, Loic and the team go the extra yard in all apects of creating a memorable experience. Simply the best restaurant for miles around.

Our first visit since moving from London Road, if anything our experience suggests it is only getting better. Quite busy due to Royal Ascot, the service was still flawless and the food excellent. No issues at all with being Coeliac with nearly all dishes that could be made gluten free. Very keenly priced (£44 for three courses) means Bluebells is highly recommended.

Wonderful food, warm and friendly staff even though we hadn't been before. One of those places where once you've been for the first time you can't wait to go back and become one of the regulars. Truly lovely

We have eaten here on several occasions and we have always left very happy. The amazing reviews for here are completely justified. The food is exceptional , and presented beautifully. It is also , dare I say , very good value. John and his team are also wonderful..... thank you for yet another wonderful evening, great food and great wine...... Perfect ! Everything was very high quality - the food was fresh, cooked to perfection and impressively efficient service. This was our first time, but we'll definitely be back.

This was our second visit and it was amazing. The staff are wonderful, food is so tasty, the restaurant is beautiful. I took away one star due to the cheese board. The cheeses are served straight out of the fridge which made them tasteless and it would have been good if we had been told what the cheeses were, especially for this standard of restaurant. Apart from that it was excellent and we will be returning.

Went with the family for a birthday/anniversary lunch. Staff are amazing, helpful, professional, food was incredible and the atmosphere was down to earth.

One of my relatives took me here for my birthday recently as we'd meant to go for while. The place looked nice from the outside and there was some parking available if you drive there (although limited). Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted and taken upstairs to our table; a table for two when there was three of us booked. One of the party was effectively in the aisle ... The table was "crammed" to accommodate 3 and meant a juggling act everytime food or drink was brought to the table, mostly by ourselves. This also meant the bottle of wine we had purchased was kept on the counter rather than being nearby so we could pour more if needed. The menu was very limited with about 6 dishes available per course although to be fair the food was of a good standard if not a little "weird" in parts (creme brulee pate). The staff were friendly and in the main attentive, there was one or two occasions where we had to wait / search for staff. Had we not had the poor seating experience I possibly would give it a 4 stars as the place was clean, staff friendly, food good, price ok. However, even without the poor seating experience I would not return as the menu is so limited.

Beautifully cooked food and well presented. Lovely for a special meal. Fixed priced to so you can easily work out costs. Would definitely recommend and come again. Booking essential.

The restaurant has a lovely interior. Really enjoyed the starter (cod cheeks), main (chicken) and dessert (banana crème brûlée) were ok. Fruit punch mocktail was delicious. Portions are good size. In general we thought the food was great. We had a booking for group of six and we all had the feeling of being rushed/ pressured to order, eat and leave within the 2 hours. Understand there is a time limit but perhaps they should allow slightly longer stay for bigger groups. I really did not appreciate the rushed attitude. The service from waitress was spot on, very attentive and always smiling, however cannot say the same about the waiter, quite grumpy. General feeling of the group, we will not return or bring other friends/ family to the restaurant due to the rushed attitude.

The quality of the food and presentation of starter and main were stunning. Dessert was ok. The cocktail very tasty! However they really push you out when your time is over, didn’t appreciate their behaviour. If you only wanna eat good food but real quick, it’s fine. But if you want a more chilled atmosphere for a special treat, don’t go there.

Second time we have visited, first time was about 18months ago and again it didn't disappoint. I am gluten-free, which was mentioned at time of booking. I didnt need to remind them as they greeted us warmly and acknowledged my dietary requirement on arrival. When given the menu I was straight away advised about what options were available to me. The options meant all but one starter and one main couldn't be adapted which was amazing. Will most definitely be coming back again.

WOW. Just wow. The food was absolutely incredible, some of the best I have ever tasted. The partridge was amazing, my wife had the duck which was impossibly delicious, and the deserts were fantastic. If you get to, try the bread and butter pudding. Insanely good, and the apple sorbet and vanilla custard accompany it so well. Just… wow. You NEED to eat here.

Fantastic service, attentive staff, and superb fine dining food. My only grumble would be I wish they used olive oil in their cooking rather than vegetable oil as it’s much healthier, and the Women’s toilets definitely need an upgrade, they are something you’d expect in a seedy nightclub with weird pink dark lights, not a high end restaurant, far too small too you can hardly open the door, need to be made bigger.

A stylishly decorated restaurant offering hip, diverse fusion cuisine with continental influences. The clear menu, which largely focuses on a freely selectable 3-course menu, consistently offers fine dishes. All starters, main courses and desserts tasted delicious - what I will remember most is the 'spiced monkfish with chilli-coconut rösti in pineapple-coriander sauce'. The cocktails served in advance and the accompanying wines were also impeccable. Another highlight was the extremely quick service, which couldn't have been more charming. A totally relaxed culinary highlight! Bottoms up! 🥂

First visit to Bluebells, and it won't be our last. The food was very nice , the staff were very attentive, lovely atmosphere . I highly recommend it.

We recently celebrated a birthday lunch in the private room upstairs. The event was an absolute success due in no small part to the fantastic food provided, the seamless friendly service and the ambiance of the room itself. All our friends commented that it was one of the best restaurants for service they had been to. That is quite some accolade concidering they were sat at a table for 18 people.

Friends had a lunch to celebrate their birthdays at the Bluebells. We were very impressed by the delicious food and excellent service. Our waitresses were brilliant. Highly recommended

An amazing restaurant, staff were polite and really attentive - the perfect place for a romantic date or special meal. The only reason for the 4 star on food is that the menu whilst delicious was quite unusual which was lovely for starters and mains but all our puddings were quite savoury for our liking. Overall great, definitely go!

Wonderful place to celebrate for any occasion. Wide selection of food and drink. Great service. Varied menu and wine list reasonably priced. Parking can be tight but pub nearby with large car park.

Having heard great things about Bluebells, we decided to pop in for an anniversary lunch as just around the corner from work. We weren't disappointed. The service was impeccable, the food was amazing and great value for money. Hopefully we will be back in the near future. Thank you to the whole team.

I loved it and my food was great. My friends beef was really tough and she complained but no joy. I would go again and a shame for her as her birthday 🎂

I had a pleasant lunch here and the staff were helpful. Food was all ok but I've had better burgers and wasnt a fan of the sauce.

A special restaurant, for a special occasion. Attentive and friendly service, excellent food (my son said it was one of the best steaks he's eaten) and a nice atmosphere - though book ahead as it gets busy. The conservatory is the best spot to sit (in our opinion at least). Only drawback is limited parking, so try to be early - and ideally don't bring a large vehicle!

Went for a celebration lunch, the food was excellent as was the service. Very reasonably priced for the quality. The courses were correctly proportioned for a 3 course meal and the main course cod was beautifully cooked. Highly recommended.

Phenomenal birthday Sunday at Bluebells restaurant. Carrot Panna cotta and roast chicken were out of this world. Excellent t service in a sleek fun setting and very fair prices. Cocktails were also fantastic. Well deserving of the Michelin recommendation 👏🏼

Returned to Bluebells for the first time since it had reopened at its new location. Took wife and kids there to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Absolutely beautiful food and service. I look forward to returning.

We were impressed by the restaurant and the food but the reason I am giving 4 stars is because I am judging as a fine dining restaurant and comparing to others I've eaten at. The food was certainly good and nicely presented but didn't quite have that wow factor, except for the dessert which was delicious. The staff was lovely and attentive.

My favourite local restaurant! Service is superb, couldn’t get any better. The decor is gorgeous too. Loved the amuse-bouchée too, a good touch. Pics speak for themselves to be honest! My lamb was especially delicious. The pineapple tart tatin was beautiful! Well worth the money

Wow! Just spent the most amazing evening at this fabulous restaurant. Absolutely everything was awesome, from the spectacular food, to the attentive friendly staff. My experience with Bluebells was exquisite. From the first martini, to the warm bread an onion butter. To chef, doing his best to serve me the rarest part he had in the fillet of beef. To lovely homemade petit fours that complimented my creamy double espresso perfectly. And enhanced my Maker's Mark old fashion. ( I look forward to seeing Woodford on your shelves next time) Accompanied by great service from John and his team. Thank you for a great night. And I shall return with friends!

The food quality is superb , the dishes are exquisite, the started were perfect and looked amazing, bread freshly made , the mackerel cooked to perfection , the cod crispy and moist, the beef brisket was so tender , the dessert was amazing , everything is worth the value.
