This place was recommended by the station master(?) at the steam railway. The food was good, although the sausage roll pastry was a tad tough. Very child friendly. Service was good and they quickly corrected an error when the wrong soup was served. Paid a quick visit to the farm shop and would have preferred to spend more time perusing. Seemed to have a good selection of local produce. Not sure I would recommend this place to vegetarians or vegans - it is a working farm with animals.

I’m a bit late writing this but, an absolutely lovely visit to Bluebells! We arrived a little early so spent some time fussing the Jersey calves after they’d had their breakfast. Just the cutest little things! Our food was delicious, all having breakfasts, and staff were very friendly. We also popped over to the little farm shop for a browse and a purchase of a few little bits. Easy and plentiful parking and there was also a building with some history on display which was very interesting. A lovely morning eating and browsing!

Halloumi hash arrived without the promised two poached eggs. Whilst they were being cooked the original food was not removed but left on the table. The veal skewers as stated were cooked in a light coating which unfortunately was too hot to taste the farm meat. It was very tender though but just a shame the taste didn't shine through. Both puddings, bread and butter and the sundae were excellent.

Amazing breakfast, best we've had here over on the Isle of wight! Very affordable for the fresh ingredients too! Service was a little slow for the drinks, but they seem to be a small staff team and we did order a latte and milkshake, so also understandable, and was not an issue for us. The staff were lovely and extremely accommodating. My other half was extremely happy to finally eat somewhere that allowed an item swap on his full English too!

I took my adopted daughter and grandson here today for coffee and cake, and was very disappointed, the dry stale carrot cake was old. And as for the coffee I'm pretty sure there was no coffee in , just vanilla syrup, and was barely Luke warm , We waited 15 mins for a drink and they were just left down on the counter for ages instead of given to us.. the two tables next to us were full of washing up and the last people mess for the entire time we were there and noone attempred to clean them . Lovely looking cafe. Food varied from below average to acceptable. Service slow. It was not busy but took 30 minutes for drinks to arrive. Plates not cleared for 1.5 hours. Staff looked unhappy. No smiles at all. No customer service whatsoever so didn’t leave a tip. Took us 4 hours to order lunch and have 2 drinks. Shall not be returning. Waited a year to visit as have seen great reviews and when we tried to go last year Wight Fibre had closed the road. What a disappointment. Ordered the Veal Skewers which came coated in some uncooked pepper steak rub. Veal was overcooked, not any better when the rub was scraped off, chips seemed to have been cooked many times and were hard, hollow and inedible. Charged £5 for two cans of Diet Coke. Left very disappointed, hungry and feeling like we had been ripped off. Will definitely be recommending or going back.

You can always tell what a place is like by how they handle things going wrong. Our breakfast order got lost due to a printer mix-up, and the staff immediately offered compensation (we ended up getting free coffees as having the whole meal for free seemed a bit unfair!) We booked a table so were really disappointed to wait nearly an hour for food and had to leave before it arrived to catch our ferry back. We did explain to the staff we needed to leave shortly but sadly the wait was still extreme. Im sure if you have plenty of time and are after a very leisurely breakfast this is fine, for those catching a ferry or somewhere to be then really do allow yourself extra time to enjoy a breakfast here. The cafe wasnt overly busy so can only assume this is normal. A shame as we were super looking forward to breakfast.as we have been before and it was great.

We went with some friends for the first time today for lunch. I can honestly say I won’t be going back. First it took 30 just to get a drink and even then they forgot one of the drink which took another 10 to be served. The food took over an hour to be served and it was not as advertised, I had the breakfast which didn’t have hash browns on and for some reason only half a mushroom. The beans were cold and so was the toast. My wife had a sandwich with was thick with cheap margarine and very little filling of bacon and chicken. We had a bowl of French fries which were again cold. The staff were friendly but clearly not able to cope with the amount of covers. When you look at the price of a breakfast over £12 you would expect a better standard and quality of produce and service. Sorry to say very disappointed what you see on the website is nothing like what you get.

Despite the cafe being extremely busy, our order was taken promptly by a very pleasant waitress and our drinks followed shortly afterwards. The meal took quite a time to arrive, but the food was piping hot and really well presented. I enjoyed my pie of the day (veal from the farm itself). My wife said it was the best (gammon) ham egg and chips she had had for a long time - no fat on the ham. We ordered pudding and again the food took a while to arrive but was delicious - my bread and butter pudding was superb. My wife had the brownies and was given an enormous portion, but the cafe provided a box to take some of it home with us. In summary we throughly enjoyed the food from the cafe, which was worth waiting for, but if you are in a hurry you may want to go elsewhere!

Went for lunch after crossing on the ferry to East Cowes, arriving around 1.30pm. On Friday 12th. I ordered Gammon and my wife asked what the soup of the day was and was told, sorry, we’ve run out. My wife then ordered an Egg Mayo sandwich and some chips. Our dinners arrived around 25 minutes later, and mine was 3 pieces of Ham, not Gammon. I started to eat as I didn’t want the chips and egg to go cold. When the waiter came past I said I had ordered Gammon not Ham, to which he replied it is Gammon Ham, not a Gammon Steak, and went on to tell me the difference. I did bite my tongue much to the pleasure of my wife. I just said the menu is not clear, if you are serving Ham say so. Other dinners beware. The food was ok, but I was misled. We visit the Island quite regularly and will not be returning. We have eaten out many times this week and I have had my Gammon, and on the menu it showed 2 entries, Gammon Steak, & Gammon Ham, no confusion there. If you want a fabulous Gammon Steak go to the Steamer Inn on Shanklin sea front, the biggest and best 10oz Gammon Steak I have ever had.

Hadn't been to this cafe for a while so decided to treat ourselves and have breakfast there. The cafe had a few people seated but by no means busy. We ordered our breakfast and two coffees. Well, the coffees were eventually served after 20 minutes and the wait began for our breakfasts. After 50 minutes we began to think they had forgotten us and not much seemed to be coming out of the kitchen. If we hadn't paid upfront we would have walked out. At just under the hour wait the food arrived and although nice we thought cutting a small mushroom head in half was a bit stingy at the price they charge! Although there seemed a number of staff on duty not much seemed to be happening and could best be described as approaching chaotic. Hopefully this was just an 'off' day but have to say we wont be back anytime soon.

I arrived there was a wake going on inside as a regular here I walked in sat on the sofa and asked the girl Natalie if I could order a latte I normally have she said I'll go and ask manager ? But off putting she normally is chatty friendly ! So I thought probably just a off day. She didn't come back to me so then I saw this guy ginger hair. Said I can have a takeaway coffee !! Omg I couldn't believe it attitude stank,,!!! What gets me loyalty means nothing!! But when there is like a wake where people come as a one off priorities change ! They really want to get this right and respect loyalty and customers !! Here this is not the case!! Management needs to buck up ! I work as a reception supervisor. This was my second visit here in the space of two weeks, both times the service was good & the food excellent. And both times we had the Farmers Breakfast, well, I did, (it’s big, but delicious) & the soup/sandwich/fries combo, for my companion, also very good. I can tell exactly why they recently won ‘Best Breakfast’, it really is the dogs you know what, trust me, you won’t be disappointed. It was busy, so we were glad we had pre-booked, the staff do sometimes seem to struggle to keep tables clear & take orders, we were booked for 12 Noon, it was nearly 12:50 by the time the food arrived, when it did though it was definitely worth it, overall the staff performed well & were very engaging, they just seem short-staffed sometimes. Coffee was very good, but again, could have been hotter, I can’t decide if they’re scared of making it too hot or if it sits there for a few mins before being served. WIFI was troublesome & again I wasn’t able to connect. Make sure you visit the on-site shop, lots of local goodies for sale in there, and the ponies too, don’t forget them! Nice looking cafe, with friendly (albeit slow) service. Main complaint is how unjustifiably overpriced everything was. £4.40 for a 250ml bottle of Folkington’s juice. They charge you 15p extra if you want decaf coffee. On the kids menu, £6 for a single boiled egg and a piece of toast that looked about the size of a Hovis medium slice. The mark-up was insane. Passed by on way to Osborne House, looked nice with field of Guernsey cattle so decided to drop by on our way back and weren't disappointed. Most of the food items are all from their own farmed food including, eggs, pies sausages etc. We decided on a cream tea, home made scone with farm butter and clotted cream, farm Tayberry & Raspberry jam and tea with a jug of milk from the dairy herd. They also do a Savoury Cream tea with local cheese and tomato chutney on a farm cheese scone. All very nice. The sausage roll, however could be better, sausage was nice but pastry was soft and soggy, could have done with 5 minutes in an air fryer to crisp it up rather than microwave. The Isle of Wight Apple Juice on the menu was actually from Devon but the chocolate milk shake was very good.

We came a couple of times for breakfast during our short trip to the Isle of Wight as our hotel did not do breakfast and the options in Ryde seemed limited. We came early (around 09.00am) and found that when we arrived both times we were one of the first ones there. The food both times was very good, with large portions. I loved the sausages. Small children not that keen but probably because they are fresh and not over cooked, so children are more used to processed food. The children loved the rest of the breakfast, hence the second visit. It did take a while for food to come (maybe half an hour each time) , so I can see if you came later you would have a longer wait as per the other reviews. It is though a farm establishment, so I think you have to take that into consideration and come here if you are flexible on time. Kid loved the calves that can be petted outside the cafe. Service the first time was a little binary. We had a fussy eater and wanted tp vary the option and that didn't seem to go down too well. Second time, different waitress, and no bother and we didn't feel like we were being a pain (even if we were). A good find, and by far the best option in the area

It’s a pity that you can’t give a zero rating as this is an establishment worthy of such a score. I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t get any and, after 25 minutes of sitting at a dirty table with no one even bothering to take our order, we left. I let a member of staff know, when we arrived, where we were seated & asked if our table could be cleared of the previous customer’s debris. I was told someone would be with us shortly. After 20 minutes and still no cleared table, I asked another member of staff to clear it. This took two attempts and yet they still failed to clean it. Any cafe whose staff think it’s acceptable to leave customers at an obviously dirty table, which is covered in spilled coffee and food, isn’t one I want to eat or drink at and needs to remedy its very shoddy unhygienic standards. When I commented to the member of staff, who’d cleared but not cleaned our table, why we were leaving, her response was that they’d “been busy”. They’re supposed to be busy, it’s how they stay in business. Maybe they need a sign up to advise customers of shoddy (or no) service during busy periods. This seems yet another establishment, trading on its 15 minutes of fame on a TV show, which fails miserably to deliver even the basics of food and beverage service. One to miss. There are far better cafes in the area.

Bluebells and Briddlesford farm is our go to place when visiting the IoW. Once again food was wonderful. Full English was fresh and tasted fab based on use of local produce. Hallumi and mushroom burger was a delight. And you can not visit without having one of their milkshakes using their very own Guernsey diary cows milk. So delicious, the best shakes ever. Staff are very polite and friendly. Only thing, the service from ordering a little slow but nothing that was an issue.

We ordered lunch, our drinks arrived quickly, but we had to wait 45 minutes for our sandwiches, I mentioned this when we paid and they apologised and said they would normally advise customers if there was a wait. The sandwiches were very good, mine had an element missing, which I advised when I paid (I wasn't going to mention it before as we had waited long enough). The way my comments were handled when I paid showed excellent customer service. Make sure you visit the farm shop and museum.

Wanted to try the Briddlesford farm cafe, arrived and seated quickly, order taken and 1 hour later informed that part of the order was now not available as the ham was not of good enough quality! Given some free drinks but that did not make up for the long wait for food and no notice that it was going to ge so long. Noticed others asking about where the food was - very disappointing

We have been going to bluebells for a few years now and I can honestly say we have never had a bad meal until today it was dreadful I had chilli etc my husband had haloumi with new potatoes and poached eggs both meals were bland no taste as all I was worried the chilli would be to hot. Could not even taste the chilli my husbands potatoes were hard and the haloumi was cold and bland my chilli was cold and watery,I really don’t know what is going on because as I have said the meals are usually lovely it’s a lot of money to spend for food that you can not eat I do hope they sort this out because school holidays soon and they are so busy good luck

I found this delightful pub by accident whilst looking for somewhere to eat. They happened to be doing an all you can eat curry buffet. It was delicious and good for money. The staff were lovely too.
