Ordered hunters chicken came with a tomato sauce instead of bbq, no one said they’d run out or anything & it didn’t taste nice. Once dinners were served no one came to ask if everything was ok so was sat watching family eat. When the lady came to take the plates - mine still being full - I told her about it, said she would ask kitchen and come back, she didn’t & saw her clearing other tables 5 mins later. We got up and left, pretty disappointed

Utterly ridiculous prices! To find that the price of 1 pint of lager tops and 1 medium dry white wine with lemonade top was £4 dearer for the same two drinks in the town centre pub (Barnsley) £12.15 here and £8 town!! Won't be getting drunk here!

Brilliant team at the Bluebell. Curtis tonight was fabulous, there was a small incident which he delt with calmly and efficiently with out any disruption to customers. The situation was diffused with his quite calm action. Well done. xxx

The 1st time we came the member of staff was very rude to us after she had ignored us 3 times so we left without buying a drink or food. We decided to give it another try and different staff who were polite and helpful. Burger and pie both lovely. Could do with a little side salad with burger though.

The bluebell pub is really welcoming, curtis the man who served us was lovely. Food is great and atmosphere is ideal for families with outdoor seating in the summer months.

Came for dinner today and had the cheeseburger which was flamed grilled. Very tasty indeed. Cooked well, served with a smile and in a timely manner. Much better food than the other times we’ve visited, so much so we’ll be back!

Due to a recent change in my business I am now visiting the hotel next door quite frequently and as such the pub is ideal. This is my fourth time visiting for food and I have to say I just cannot resist the ribs, albeit they are only available as a side to main meals. So my solution is just to order two sides of ribs - they are delicious. Staff are friendly and attentive, no problems there. Only one thing I would urge the owners to improve on and that is the stench in the gents toilets. As a food auditor, this sets a poor perception for the establishment. But customer service and the quality of food so far is very good.

Nice food friendly staff and a nice beer garden

Food has gone down hill, very dry and not very flavour ful. toilets were unclean, some of the toilets didn't even lock. No one checked on our table during or even after the meal. When served at the bar I expressed we were next and the bar lady still started to serve someone else. We ordered food at 10 minutes past 3 they wouldn't serve my grandma a jacket potato on its own it had to be at the side of something. Customer service was poor. Will not be returning and advise against going. I rang to book 20 minutes before we arrived and I was told it was quiet. So I expected a better experience. I work in hospitality if you were busy I would've given the benefit of the doubt for the customer service. But when you a quiet and stood around talking there is no reason for the experience we had

The food was average at best, I complained because the food was very disappointing, the after service was very good. I wouldn't be that keen to go again but happy that they took the criticism on-board

This could be a great pub, just needs a bit of tweaking ! Thought the price of drinks was quite high given the level of pricing locally. Found a table, had to ask for it to be cleared and cleaned. The corner where we were sat was quite cool which after the nice day that it had been suggests that the heating wasn't used to keep the temperature at a comfortable setting, when I walked to the toilet I found other areas were even colder. The food was fine, but again, compared to what is available locally was of similar quality but more expensive. Nice building, friendly staff but definitely need to adjust the thermostat and review your pricing.

The steak was cooked to perfection and the bar staff lauren and Curtis was always happy to help 10/10

Lauren is the Bluebell of the ball and the venue in question is responsible for a great many things in my life. Brooklyn beer being most of them. Whether I leave on foot or stretchered out by trained professionals I always have a smile on my face. Thank you for the good times Bluebell Inn.

Booked online for a a table as was expecting to come for Sunday Dinner. Got there myself, Wife and 1 child waited to be seated for someone to come and point to a table and say that's yours so after sitting down had to go to the exit to be seated area and get a kids menu and colouring pens... Went to the bar to order food to be told that they no longer have any Sunday dinners left at 5.00pm... So we ordered something else to put disappointment, ordered food drinks and desserts all at same time and asked shall I return to the bar after we have eaten to tell them we are ready for desserts, was told ermm yes then maybe not sure then told to wait until table is cleared and then ask... Finished meal waited and waited no one to clear table so had to go to bar and ask but bar staff very rude... Mother's day out from hell, horrible atmosphere, rude staff members, terrible service

Excellent Meals for all 7 people, everyone enjoyed it and clean plates all round. Excellent staff Lauren and Cath, polite, professional and very helpful. Will be returning very soon.

The food i had was over cooked so left half told the guy that came to empty table and all he said was sorry about that said I didn't want chips asked to substitute them for a sauce and was told a flat no if you want sauce you have to but it separately be a while before I go back if ever

For a food establishment that cares about its hygiene reputation the terrible odour in the gents toilets is not acceptable. I am a food safety auditor and a professor colleague once said to me about restaurants that the areas that you as a customer can see ( the toilets) are not clean then what does it say about areas you can’t see (kitchens). Both should be hygienically clean. It’s all about perception. Not saying that your kitchen is dirty btw.

I’m going to keep this short & sweet. Saturday night 9pm - place was deserted. I wondered why - Well this may be the reason. I ordered two glasses of wine & one pint of larger. Price £24 😫 These prices are aligned with the Ritz in London (yes I’ve been in there). After the shock of such an outrageous price I sat down with my guests and needed therapy! Supped up and left - never to return.

Came in for a meal with my partner, the atmosphere was really nice, all staff are friendly and polite. I was served by jack whose recommendations were great. The food and drink was lovely. Certainly be back.

First time visiting. Mum had Sunday lunch and said it was great. I had ultimate SFC burger. Absolutely loved it. Goog portion sizes and decent prices. Good selection on the menu and a good selection of largers on tap. Very impressed My mum said it could have just done with coliflower cheese on the Sunday roast to top it off. Very friendly staff. Thank you.

After waiting several minutes to be seated & being ignored we took ourselves to the bar where 2 staff walked by us & didnt acknowledge us. We finally ordered & ate our salad meals which were fine. When we tried to order coffee at 8.30ish we were told the machine was being cleaned. We became the only 2 people left in the pub by 9pm ish. We asked if the music could be turned down a little as we were sat quite near the speaker & it was quite loud & we found ourselves trying to talk over it. My friend who was facing the staff said she felt they were talking about us for having asked. It was turned down very low but then turned back up. It was at this point we left & finished our chat off in the car park for the last half an hour of our get together. Needless to say I dont think we will be returning

Bit late for a review as I had food this afternoon, due to work circumstances I didn't have time to leave a review earlier but I cant not leave one as it was absolutely disgusting. Ordered the all singing/dancing kebab at £14-£15, what came was nothing like advertised, cheap kebab meat tht smelt like dog, greasy oily flatbread, miniscule salad and i mean miniscule, i couldn't even see it, mam had Gammon tht was burnt egg burnt tomato burnt, won't be back n neither would I recommend

We went tonight for the first time and it was very nice, nicely decorated, friendly staff, good food and quick service. The app for ordering wasn't working but you could order at the bar, we got 30% off which made it a bargain. The burgers and gammon were flame grilled and very tasty and I really enjoyed the skin on fries that came with the burger, no complaints at all and we'll certainly be back again. There's a big beer garden on the front too for the warmer weather.

We rang on the morning to see if we could reserve a table in the drinking area overlooking the car park. Jack (a lovely chap) reserved table 25 for us from 3pm. When we got there at 2.50pm the lady behind the bar suggested there was someone sat at Table 25 and she couldnt ask them to move. Luckily table 30 was free and we sat there, although when i requested that table originally in the morning we were told tables 30 & 31 were already reserved. There was a reserve notice on table 30 which we removed after being told by the lady behind the bar that we could sit there. Luckily during our 2.5 hour stay no-one did turn up that had supposedly reserved that table. If you have suggested a table is being reserved you should ensure this happens. We did a 55 minute walk to you with our dog and a 55 minute walk home, we wouldnt have been best pleased if there were no table free when we got there

Very good service and atmosphere

Disappointed. Booked online.. on arrival got told that we were not able to have our booking due to the online system booking without knowing the restaurant was busy !! After walking there and being turned away we definitely will not be returning in the near future. We've found another close by that we walked on to and will be giving them our custom from now on.

It was avarage my plate of food chicken dry and my sticky toffee pudding had been over cooked in the microwave 😞

We had a fantastic time celebrating my partner’s birthday here! The staff were incredibly helpful and truly amazing, making sure everything went smoothly. The food was absolutely delicious, and the whole day was just perfect.

We went to the Bluebell when it first reopened after refurbishment, ordered steak, it was over cooked and like cardboard even though we ordered cooked medium. We left it more than a year before attempting it again. We ordered steak and ale pie and kebab and fries only to be told that they only had fat chips and no fries. As neither of us can stand fat chips we left without eating, and went somewhere where they at least have what is on the menu

Not impressed. No mega mixed grill but seemingly all items available. Steak Americano pretty small and lacklustre. Even with the 30% off mains it was overpriced.

Met my friend for tea. Didn’t have great expectations as I’d looked at the menu in advance and couldn’t see anything that looked like it would be very appealing without being unhealthy or high in calories. Chose the Thai style veggie curry and added chicken -was really tasty and quite filling, so was quite impressed. Friendly server who looked after us.

It's first time I had been in some years. I must say am a vegetarian not much of a choice but what we had was very nice . I have been in again and it was still nice . Staff polite.

Took me ten minutes to order despite hardly anybody in the venue. Service quick but cost 17 pounds for pie chips and peas and a pint of bitter. Pie dry, not a lot of meat in it. Very small boat of gravy. Will not return.

Ordering was easy, we used the QR code at the table. The food arrived in good time, was hot and delicious, our steaks cooked exactly as we asked for. The member of staff who brought us out food was friendly and helpful. The price was what I would expect, so no surprises there. The atmosphere was nice, relaxed and welcoming.

New menu apparently. More expensive same old food. Meh. Pretty dull atmosphere and disinterested staff. The app wouldn't calculate any savings so ordered at the bar. The bottled cider was quite expensive.

Enjoyable sunday lunch with family, our food arrived quickly, we were served by lyla who was friendly and polite, she ensured that everything was okay with our meal and that we were happy. Overall she was very attentive to our needs and kind!

We booked a table right at the last minute (for 12!) and the Bluebell were nothing but accommodating! Gorgeous food, lovely staff and reasonable too. What’s not to love? Curtis behind the bar was amazing! Couldn’t do enough for us and with a smile too. A rarity in most places 😂 ❤️ Our new favourite spot 🫶🏻

Impromptu lunch out and were incredibly impressed with the Bluebell Inn. Quiet pub,with secluded seating, clean and nice atmosphere. Curtis, who served us,was incredibly friendly, made our meal ammendments (fussy children) really easy. Genuinely polite chap who made us feel really welcome.

Staff lovely, helpful and efficient. Seating area clean and areas very childfriendly. Unfortunately food was not great. Starters were ok corn on cob very hard. Can tell it is pre cooked food just warmed back up. Main meals again not the best - Sunday lunch is a definite no go unless you like flavourless food covered in water rather than gravy... Pub classics are ok Desserts - didn't have the dessert i originally asked for. Then when alternative arrived, looked the part however taste was lacking. Overall would visit again due to good friendly atmosphere and nice staff however prob just have drinks and go elsewhere for food.

I was extremely disappointed with my recent meal at this pub. The spicy burger, while visually appealing, was accompanied by cold, rubbery fries that were inedible. The burger itself was of poor quality and left an unpleasant aftertaste. This was one of the worst pub meals I've ever had, and at £14, I felt completely ripped off. I won't be returning!

Lovely little local pub! Curtis is always super welcoming to us and we always have a fab time. Our only advice is to thicken up the gravy for Sunday dinner ;-)

Based on Boxing Day pre- booked meal- totally disgusted as they could not fulfill our pre- order on the day and one main course was overcooked and burnt?! Amateur and should not open for Christmas if you cannot service it correctly and fulfill orders and you also asked for deposits to secure the booking- what a joke!

We came to the bluebell inn on Christmas Eve for a meal as a group of 10, which included 3 small children - we had pre-booked a table. It was really, really busy in the pub and despite pre-booking, we were stood for about 15/20 mins waiting to be seated, which was difficult, as the pub was busy and we were a large group and kept getting in the way of staff carrying food and other members of the public. Once we were seated however, the service was good, food came out quick and was tasty. We would come back.

Good starters Xmas dinners cold and turkey like rubber Sone ordered puds which were ok but if there had been any interest in clearing tables and selling extra desserts and coffee it would have been decent. We had to ask for them to clear mains off TBH there was no atmosphere and no actual service We were a family party of 14 Very disappointed

Amazing staff, amazing food and the warmest kindest welcome for a large family group. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly . We loved our family pre Christmas lunch , made more special by the lovely atmosphere . Thank you everyone ☺️

This place has been somewhere we celebrated our last two anniversary’s in and have honestly enjoyed it each time Kurtis (maybe spelt with a c) was an amazing server especially waiting 10 mins for me to transfer money as we forgot so I will be grateful for that and even letting my husband get away with cheating on the pool genuinely enjoyed it and will be back again for our 3rd anniversary am sure

A birthday treat from daughter, lovely place, they allowed our dog in, though its a certain area for dogs, water supplied for him, very enjoyable.
