Blue Smoke Artisan Pizza in Wakefield

Lovely evening, excellent food-the goats cheese pizza is so good. The wait staff were friendly and attentive, we’ll definitely be back.

We turned up with the intention of having a carvery from downstairs. However, upon arrival, we had a look at the pizza menu and opted for this instead. The pizzas were fully homemade and had fresh and tasty toppings. My partner had the Yorkshire pizza and I had the Pepperoni, both were really good! We also had a couple of portions of homemade wedges, one regular and one of the burger loaded wedges. The desserts and coffee were also good and very tempting (we were too full for dessert until we looked at the menu!). The restaurant also offered to box up our leftover pizza so we could take it home, which was a nice touch.

This was such a lovely evening. The food and the atmosphere was just lovely. What a great find on our local doorstep. I can highly recommend.

Perfect Sunday lunch, traditional just the way we like it. We cannot fault our Sunday lunch from the blue bell, it was amazing, creamy mashed potatoes, roast potatoes were gorgeous too, stuffing balls amazing too. The meat were cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth, we visited as a family and we all thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful of our meal, with a choice of plain or onion gravy to finish, this carvery is truly the best locally.

As always the best artisan pizza's I have eaten! The dough is perfectly prepared and cooked, the toppings are always tasty and plentiful enough. Can highly recommend the garlic dough ball starter and also the Blue cheese dipping sauce for your crusts. Staff are always friendly and attentive without being over the top. Will be back again very soon.

Don’t get me wrong the pizzas are still lovely but compared with when the restaurant first opened I have noticed that the quantity of toppings have been really reduced to the detriment of the pizza I understand that they do use quality ingredients and they have to do this or increase the price difficult decisions for them to make The economy is obviously having an impact as the number of days open has been reduced and it was relatively quiet for a Friday night Having said this it is a nice place to go it’s clean tidy and the service is good and somewhere different to eat in the area I would go again but not as frequently as I have been in the past

Loved this place. We had been meaning to visit for a while, and I am so glad we finally got around to having a meal here. Fantastic pizza and really stylish little restaurant. Would highly recommend.

Excellent pizzas, including the gluten free ones. The dough is excellent and the toppings generous - all very tasty!

Our family enjoyed a birthday meal and good conversation whilst at the Blue Smoke. Venue was clean, tidy and relaxed. Food was lovely and the service offered was efficient and friendly. Staff went above and beyond. No complaints. We would go back and we would recommend it.

Just had a great family meal at the Blue Smoke above the Blue Bell in Wentbridge. So lucky to have this cool artisan pizza place on our doorstep. Really good modern pizza menu and I can highly recommend the Yorkshire pizza with swaledale sausage, smoked Wensleydale and mozzarella and Yorkshire Ham . Great attentive and fast service without feeling rushed. Will definitely return for the best pizza for miles around.

Wow had my daughters Baby Shower here we were so looked after by Philippa who was amazing organising the tables and area to put our decorations and supplying us with drinks . The food is always great here and the ambiance is lovely. We had a drink on arrival followed by dough balls then the amazing pizzas. The chef helped to portion the cake for guests to take home. Overall it’s a fantastic venue to have a small private gathering or just to eat beautiful food.

Run by kids, served by kids. Slow service, food ok (more so if you like salt), hard seats and too warm with window which the staff appeared not to be able to open.

Popped in for a mid week dinner with my wife. Had a beer in garden first in the beautiful countryside of wentbridge. Followed by great pizza, good service and a lovely drunken afagato to finish.

I love good food. I love this place, and come here often. Excellent Italian-style food and pizza, friendly service, music and ambience to match. Nothing to criticise 😊

Blue Smoke is a perfect place for a weeknight quick eat or even a weekend pizza treat! The selection of pizzas is great and you can literally see your pizza being made which means it’s so fresh and made with good quality ingredients and care. Carla is lovely and looks after you so well. My personal favourite is the burrata pesto pizza and I DIE FOR the cheesy dough balls. Make sure you come here if you love pizza !!!

We’ve had pizza here now twice, and hands down it’s the best pizza we’ve had for ages! Artisan pizza done properly with Italian ingredients in a stone oven. Superb. Lovey warm atmosphere and they do take-away! Looks like we will be regulars from now on.

I love this place with its traditional fresh cooked Pizza’s, the dough balls are amazing, the service you receive is always professional and polite especially Caitlin. I would highly recommend eating here you won’t be disappointed.
