A really lovely evening, the service was 10/10. Prompt, happy and chatty with the children. A good atmosphere and great food!

Ordered takeaway, food cold, naan breads were chewy and not fresh. Definitely use chutney jacks or mahabarat so much better. Delivery was 40 mins late and cold.

Ordered takeout and as usual brilliant customer service, friendly and polite. Food was great, very tasty. Garlic naan were fresh and flavoursome excellent with the chicken balti and saag aloo.

We are regular visitors to our local restaurant, the Blue Monsoon in Winslow. We always have delicious food and the service is excellent. A relaxed atmosphere and an excellent menu means you can enjoy a perfect evening, whether you are a couple or a big group. As a vegetarian there is plenty of choice, and my husband, as a meat eater, always tries different dishes. We are never disappointed by the quality and flavour of the food. Highly recommended!

We were delighted to find this amazing restaurant just a few minutes drive from the centre of Milton Keynes. The bright, simple and sparklingly clean decor prepared us for a contemporary menu with a wide range of innovatory dishes, including cheese chicken, honey chicken and mango delight chicken. We particularly enjoyed the unusual and delicately flavoured paneer delight, along with our reliably delicious favourite, chicken tikka with naan. We received a warm and friendly welcome, and the service was excellent. We were made to feel as if we were the only customers. We will definitely be coming back soon to try out the other enticing dishes on the menu. We thoroughly recommend the Blue Monsoon - try it for yourself!

Last night I enjoyed a gloriously delicious meal in an attractive ambiance at a very reasonable price. The warm and friendly service made me forget the conflicts in the world around us, and the beautifully refreshing food uplifted my spirits. I strongly recommend the Blue Monsoon Mixed Special as a fantastic starter and the chicken dishes with garlic nan were amazing. Blue Monsoon made such an impression on us that my family and I will be coming back very soon to try some of the other mouth-watering dishes on the mind-boggling menu - it was so difficult to choose!

Just moved to the area so first takeaway from here. Ordered King Prawn Tikka Masala at £12.95. What I got was 3 tiny prawns and a tub full of sauce. Not what I expected compared to my previous Indian (Red Chilli Buckingham). Emailed with my complaint and no response after a week. I then phoned and tbh the owner was very indifferent 😐 Will not be using again. Very disappointing.

Me and my accomplice worked here a few months back, handing out leaflets. He promised us 20 pounds each. When we finished the job, handing out 1000 leaflets, he refused to pay us and instead gave us a knacks, dry curry. I instantly spewed when i put one spoonful in my mouth. I could also hear screams coming from the workers in the kitchen downstairs along with the sound of whips hitting the cooks.

walked in expecting a nice curry and was filming a nice family vlog until, bang..... employees were helicoptering their genitalia so fast they began to levate over the tables. caught dem man in 4K. kids were crying their eyes out. had to calmy escort their traumatised souls back to the car.

Been coming to the BM for years and should have reviewed sooner! The food is always fresh and fabulous with staff that are so lovely . They are always so patient with our chattering and laughter ! Don’t miss out on this treat of a restaurant.

Firstly, Waited for 2 hours for food to be served and the wrong orders came out.Other parties were complaining about the food and service too.Kitchen door opened and the chefs were spooning sauces from pans that were sat on the floor!!!!!!I have been ill since, two people threw up on the night just after the curry.I Only paid 20% of the bill as i refused to pay for the terrible food and serviceThis place needs to be shut down!

Had a nice meal with friends but some people were driving and there aren't any decent alcohol free drinks on offer, they just got given warm, flat coke which I guess was poured from a large 2L bottle. Not nice. It they just offered one nice cold alcohol free beer that would be start.

Had a meal here with a friend, and we were both left disappointed with the food quality.Lamb tikka was rather chewy , a tiny bit of salad (which was fresh to be fair), and quite a bland masala. I was not happy with my vegetable curry as it was tasteless.I have found this a lot in Indian resturants and to me it is boring and uninspiring. In addition I ordered a takeway by phone, gave them ample time before I went to collect my food and had to sit there for 15 minutes waiting. Sadly this restaurant caters for people with mild tastes and who dislike spicy,so it appears.Will not return.

Because our usual takeaway is closed for a couple of weeks we decided to try the Blue Monsoon. This was very foolish because a year ago we said we would never consider eating there again because the food and service was so terrible.

Ate here after a recommendation, and the food was the best Indian food I have eaten for a long time. The staff were friendly, helpful and good fun, and I can't recommend highly enough trying this little restaurant.

Visited midweek and the restaurant was lovely and quiet, only a couple of tables occupied. It was a chance for my daughter and I to have a quiet meal out while my wife had a party to go to!

We have just returned from a meal here with friends and I felt compelled to share our experience with others. The place was cold and we keep checking the door as thought it must have been open but the heat from the air conditioning unit didn’t reach to where we were sitting and instead heated empty space. The waiter started to take our order but when the phone rang he stopped to answer the phone and take a takeaway order. This happened on at least 3 occasions which got quite infuriating and resulted in getting the order details wrong which we fortunately checked before he left the table. The food was not particularly quick to come and when it did the waiter had an accident and split the rice over me. Eventually when the food came my wife and I both ordered shashlik and remembered half way through that the salad had not been provided. The waiter argued that the menu did not say salad. It clearly did, which he then checked with the kitchen and they informed him that they don’t provide salad. I suggested they needed to amend the menu and he offered to discount the meal which he did not.

Called in whilst traveling and was very impressed. The food is excellent, the service just right and superb value for money.

This restaurant was very accommodating when I arrived before they were offically open for the evening. There was a good choice on the menu - including the specials - and I enjoyed the food. This is definitiely a place I would visit again when I am in Winslow and looking for a place to eat.

Lovely meal out, the staff were very accommodating making a very mild curry for our 10 year old. Tasty starters and nicely spiced main courses for the adults were lovely.

I visit Blue Monsoon quite often. Never disappointed. Had a birthday party with friends. Great food & service. One of my friend was little loud but waiter approach him, very humbled. As there was couple of family in the restaurant. Strongly recommend for party. Very reasonable price.

We decided to try Blue Monsoon on a Tuesday evening on their 'banquet night' (around £11 for a starter, main, side dish, pilau rice/plain naan and a coffee) and were very pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly and quick, the house wine was good, and the food was lovely. My other half said that the curry he chose was the best curry he's ever had, and we both really enjoyed our evening there. Highly recommend!

We thought due to the car park at the Public Hall being totally full that everyone in Winslow was at the Slimming World meeting and the Blue Monsoon would be empty or only occupied by a few poor souls that had fallen off the wagon and had no chance of redemption.

We decided to try the Blue Monsoon having had a disappointing meal at the other Indian restaurant in Winslow. This was 10 times better. A bright, modern Indian restaurant with very pleasant staff provided a relaxed atmosphere, and the food was of a very high standard. The paneer delight starter was delicious, as was the vegetable samosa, the naan bread was the best I have ever tasted. The chicken balti was a superb and complex mix of flavours. Amazingly the restaurant was just about full on a Tuesday evening which I think says as much about the quality of this restaurant as anything I can write! The only negative I could really find is that the service was a bit slow, taking a good half hour to serve the starters and the same again between courses. I hate "conveyor belt" dining, but this was verging on the other extreme.

Great food. They have some interesting new dush. Should try out. Friendly service. Strongly recommend. Good environment for family and friends.

I visit Blue Monsoon quite regularly with my family and I've never been let down. The staff are friendly and welcoming; the food has always been delicious and on time. Management also is really warming.I tend to order the Blue Monsoon Mixed Special, Tandoori King Prawn Masala (as I love seafood), but tend to order Chicken/Lamb balti dish for the rest of the family and it always delivers to my expectation.I would highly recommend coming here!

When my meal finally came it was delicious and actually worth waiting for. However, it seemed as if the take- away aspect of the business dominated over the sitting customer and several take aways were done while I was sat waiting for what seemed an incredibly long time for a vegeatarian meal and I formed the impression they must have done those before doing mine. For that reason I would be wary about going in to eat again. However, nice staff and lovely food.

Ate at the blue monsoon last night and the service was really poor. The waiter got our drinks order wrong, twice (having waited 15 mins to be asked if we wanted a drink). Food arrived after 70 mins! The restaurant was not full, only two takeaway orders when we were there, so no idea why it took so long.

Had the five course special on Tuesday night. Great value, stuffed peppers awesome. Great value and good quality chicken used in the main dish which the waiter recommended. Can't recall the name of the curry but was very tasty.

Very chill Saturday night 8pm. Maybe seven or 8 other diners. Friendly helpful greeting when we came to order and carry out. Cheapish but took a while longer than expected. Very hot when we got back. No problems at all.

I have visited Blue Monsoon numerous amount of times, however my visit last weekend still didn't fail to disappoint. Amazing customer service - These comments about a language barrier isn't the case at all. In regards to the food, perfect. In fact many friends who I have recommended to eat here, travel from London to dine. 10/10

With friends who look forward to a Friday evening curry and so booked here. We normally enjoy the Gourmet nights on a Tuesday and Wednesday at £10.95. Food then seems far different to what we were served on this Friday night on 29 July. It was bland and possibly a different chef. But there was only 1 other table occupied by a single gentleman and not so many takeaways either so has something to this venue. We have been visiting from time to time over recent years and generally been pleased. But this 29 July visit was memorably disappointing.

I visited the Blue Monsoon restaurant this evening and had the Starter, Main, Rice or Naan plus side dish and coffee for around £10 - . what fantastic value, the food was fantastic, it came on time, it was hot and full of flavour but what I really want to praise this restaurant for alongside the above is the staff - they were just brilliant. I was visiting with my family which included my two grandsons aged 5 and 7. Immediately ALL of the waiters made a fuss of them, they got to know their names, they had a joke and a laugh with them and in general made us feel more than welcome. Very often with children in restaurants this is not the case but at the Blue Monsoon they made it clear that children are very welcome. I would encourage anyone in the Winslow area to visit this restaurant and take advantage of the fantastic value for money and even more fantastic warm welcome.A wonderful evening made possible by such fantastic members of the Blue Monsoon team - thank you from us all including Oscar and Henry!!!

We have had many takeaways from here but had stopped as the standard was dropping. Decided to eat in and now know why we had stopped the takeaways. . To start the poppadum's were stale. The waiter struggled to understand what we wanted. The cream for the coffee was on the turn and curdled the coffee. The food was bland and just warm. This will be our one and only trip.

I've been here a few times & this visit will be my last. My feeling is the management need to employ waiters that can understand English so food is right first time, not on the third time as I experienced. Won't be going back ever

Visited restaurant late on Sunday evening and staff were very welcoming and they served up an excellent meal for two. The menu was very extensive and inventive. The vegetable dishes were particularly good and looked fresh. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Best of the bunch in a small town. Visit here at least once a year when in the area and owner always remembers us and provides a warm welcome. Food is good across all courses and is good value for money.

Nothing special but nothing bad either.Have used all the Indian Take Aways now in Winslow and not been impressed by any to make one of them my favourite place to visit. Tend to leave my take aways to when I visit Devon as they seem to be as good as the fish and chips down there.I havnt tried the eat in buffet nights that they offer but that might be because the take away is average so have not been interested. I visited Blue Monsoon yesterday evening with two of my friends to take advantage of the 5 course Banquet Menu - £9.95 per person for a starter, main, pilau rice or plain naan and coffee each.We were seated straight away (the restaurant was empty) and ordered our drinks. I ordered a soda water (a pint was served) and my friends ordered a jug of water between them. We ordered poppadoms which came quickly but were unfortunately stale and almost bendy, not crispy as one would expect.We ordered our meals, and my friend asked if she could substitute the pilau rice for mushroom rice, which she was told she could for an extra £1, even though there was only a 45p price difference between the pilau and mushroom rice on the menu, and I was allowed to substitute my plain naan for a tandoori roti at no extra charge. We waited longer than would normally be expected for our starters, which were cleared quickly when we had finished and our mains were served soon after. I ordered the lamb shashlik which was chewy and grisly. The mushroom rice we ordered was overly greasy, and the mushroom bhaji was swimming in butter or oil. I ordered another soda water during my meal. We had our coffees which were included in the price of our meal, and asked for the bill.When the bill was brought over, there were two items on it that weren't clearly described, so we had to ask the waited to explain them. The items in question were my two glasses of soda water, priced at THREE POUNDS EACH! THREE POUNDS! To add insult to injury, the soda water I was served had most likely been sat in an opened bottle for some time as it was hardly fizzy and had a limp piece of lemon floating in it. I wasn't even given a clean glass the second time, they just filled the same glass and didn't put any ice in it! They even left the same bit of lemon in it! I expressed my shock at the price of a drink that is served in the pub down the road for only 55p, and the waiter just shrugged his shoulders. We swiftly left and agreed that we will stick to visiting Mahabharat down the road from now on!

I have been here a few times now and never been disappointed. The food is delicious, always enjoyed it. The service is very good. The buffet nights are great value for money, but the price on regular nights is very reasonable too. It is quite a small place so I always book a table. It is the local place I use when I have visitors staying because I know it will be a good evening.

Attended with a group of about 10, had the set menu for a tenner, which was greAt value. The food was good however the service was very slow, with a big gap between each course. One of the group ordered chips, which were grim!

This used to be a great small Indian, where you got a special service from the Staff, visited recently and although the food was good, the prices extremely reasonable - the atmosphere has disappeared. There were only a few customers in and this seems to say the place is not as popular as it used to be. Its a shame, hopefully it will improve, and be the place it was

One thing I will not be doing is go by reviews anymore. Totally and utterly awful. Service total nightmare. No smiles, no warm welcome. Miserable as sinn. And as for the food. Apart from 1 Main dish, 1 side dish and rice and bread. The rest was in readable. Never ever will I ever go there again.

I'm glad we reserved a table, the place was packed. There was a great atmosphere, friendly and efficient service. The food was excellent and even better value. This is a brilliant little restaurant and well worth another visit or two.

Went to the Blue Monsoon for a romantic dinner for two midweek. This used to be a great favorite and the staff used to drive up from Luton each day (which must have been hard work) but they had created an enjoyable, efficient, friendly place to eat in the middle of Winslow. The owers have changed now and when we arrived the restaurant was empty. That shouldn't be a problem, but the service seemed slow, depressed and unenthusiastic. Food was acceptable, but not particularly special. The final bill was rather high too. They have got to try harder to survive or all the business will go to the much better Mahabharat on the market square.

I have eaten here a number of times having tried all of the other Indian restaurants in Winslow. This is the best one. Try the mixed tandoori thali. Fantastic!

I recently re visited the Blue Monsoon after moving away from the area so first visit after two years absence. Now firmly on the top of my list and worth the 10 mile drive.I can recommend this restaurant without any hesitation

We regularly have delivered food from here and occasionally eat in. The food is good and there is plenty of it. The restaurant is clean, and the staff are fabulous.

Friday night is usually take away might. Last visit a few months ago was great. Tonight, 22 nov. was very disappointing. Rogam josh, barely spiced and watery. Tikka massala same. Balti slightly better. Peshwari naan totally lacked a flavoursome filling. Sorry but we wont be rushing back until we hear better reports. Maybe eat-in was better and took priority, but 30mins wait for take away should be better.

Went with our family on 28th September, probably the worse meal ever, poor service, bill wrong and the food was awful. If we ever have bad experiences at restaurants in the past we normally give a second chance, but not this one. My son and his family are avid Indian food lovers and they could not believe it.
