We visited at lunchtime. It’s a lovely place with great tables outside for when sunny. Really quiet and peaceful. The cakes were lovely and so was the soup. Not many people know about it so visit now while you can. Menu is a little limited but what was offered looked lovely. Maybe an idea to do toasties.

I really enjoyed my home cooked lunch. Oh and the cheesecake was delicious. I had a nice chat with the friendly lady who made my lovely panini. I'll definitely be back.

Normal Wetherspoons fare, handily located in the town centre. Service was quick despite being moderately busy.

Delighted to find that this charming lil cafe was open, during The Chorley Grand Prix. Both Clare & Helen made us feel very welcome & served us lovely coffee & cakes. Please enter this hidden lil gem (the gifts at the front of this store are worth a view, too!)- you won't be disappointed with the delicious freshly made food on sale. Open 7 days a week (Mon-Sat 9.30-5pm. Sundays 11am -4pm). Go on! Give these lovely ladies a visit!

Absolutely love this place!! The food is home cooked and delicious. Once it’s gone it’s gone so you know it’s home cooked. Quiet little place but by far my favourite place to eat in Chorley town centre. Visited here plenty of times and will continue. Nothing needs to change. Completely perfect!!

Popped in for lunch on Sunday after getting the sense that this was the kind of place where there might be some traditional home cooking on offer. We were not disappointed. I had the homemade quiche with jacket, coleslaw and salad, my son had the pasta dish. There was a huge portion of each and both were delicious. Nice cosy little place which could be busier if the fact it was at the back of the gift shop was advertised better. Spot on, we waddled out contented.

Great little cafe. Lovely home cooked food, great value!! Would always pick blue house cafe over any other cafe in Chorley town centre. Only a small little place but ideal for lunch for two.

Have a regular coffee with my dad on a Saturday and forgot about this place , very nice coffee, not a multinational business and lovely staff, might arrive more towards lunch next time and try a sandwich.

Hidden away at back of the shop, is a cosy small tea room with plenty of light and even a small outdoor area. The two ladies running the cafe are very polite and friendly with table service included. We had 5 people on the day, with other people in the small cafe and it didnt feel cramped, the service was quick and the food very tasty, and able to remove any particular food if you didnt want it. best part had to be the cake, nice big slabs. :-)

Visited for a quick bite to eat before a meeting. Nice little cafe at the back of a lovely gift shop. The dish I wanted wasn't available so opted for soup, which was delicious and quickly served. Also enjoyed the Chorley cake for dessert. I think everything is freshly made on the premises which is nice. Not a very big eating area so I think it could be very busy if you pick the wrong time. And there is a small outdoor area which would be great if it's sunny.Anyway, will be visiting again - this week!

Actually my partner had a lovely cappuccino and lemon/orange sponge cake and I plumped for a cafetiere of coffee and a lemon/orange cheesecake. The coffee was good too but my cheesecake trumped the sponge, it was very good. Sat outside in the sun in a little suntrap out back for extra points. Thanks!

I'd been meaning to drop in here since moving back to the north west a few years ago & finally made it one lunchtime. Whilst the dining area is relatively small at the back of the retail area the menu is far from small with some very different choices available. The soup & sandwich option is really good value for money with more than adequate portions being provided. I will definitely return!!

Blue house, slightly out of Chorley but nice shop with small café inside, nice snacky food and some quirky items in the shop.

It is very tiny and rather cramped, so when busy there is very little room to push your chair out. On this basis it is not really suitable for prams and pushchairs; you would have great difficulty getting a wheelchair into the shop it is contained in for the same reason ( no ramp). That said, they do very well producing the food though, and from such a tiny kitchen. the quality does vary though, on a good day it's lovely, but I have also been there and the cakes have been dry/ seemingly not that fresh. It used to be quite good but I just feel that of late it has lost its sparkle a bit?

My friend and I had a ladies day out and recommended that we come here for sandwiches and coffee. We ordered the Tea for 2. The sandwiches were really good, but they told us the just poured out the coffee we wanted so we had to settle for the instant coffee.Overall was nice.

The Blue house cafe (nicknames the Blue room) is somewhere I have visited for a long time, ever since I moved down to Lancashire (Chorley) my mum started to take me when I was little as our treat. It is inside a lovely shop which is filled of gifts ranging from scarves to candles, i really enjoy mooching round there after I have visited the cafe. There is a reasonable choice of food at a good price. We especially like the sandwiches. They are like mini banquets for one! they come with loads of salad and crisps. They cost around £4-£5 which may seem expensive but trust me you get what you pay for! They also offer a lot of different homemade soups and cakes. There is lovely outside seating both at the back and front which is perfect for a spring/summer afternoon. There is one lady (who we know quite well) who works there and she is fantastic; a very kind and helpful lady. It may be looking a bit tired and old now as it probably needs an update but it is still hands down the best cafe in chorley. I love it.

I took my wife and 2 young children for lunch, on a sunday . When we tried to place our order there was nothing left on the menu because of christmas and they was very busy on the saturday, however we understood this can happen, so we ordered 2 BLT s and cheese sandwiches for the kids. The lady serving us was very rude and we felt very uneasy with her attitude. The BLT came on bread with no butter, there was bits of other food stuck to the bread. The bread then began to fall to bits so we could not eat it.The lady was very sharp and changed the bread with a big hand print on the sandwich which was done in temper.£23.00 LATER WE PAID THE BILL AND LEFT AND WILL NOT RETURN. DISGUSTING .

Called in on Sunday for dinner on way to Southport Bar lady never spoke except to say how much order was, ordered two Sunday roast a chicken strips on bed of salad. On receiving the chicken I instantly noticed a slug climbing up the inside of the dish, I told the male server who said would you like me to remove it “I sad yes my partner not going to eat that if she sees it “ he just got a tissue and wiped it off the dish. No apology or offer to change. Safe to say we were all put off our meal and will not be returning.

I got my order about 45 minutes after placing it - one coffee, one pastry and a muffin at a location five minutes away. Not the driver's fault! Costa took a very long time to prepare the order. From my understanding the driver was waiting at Costa for a long time. It shouldn't take the most part of an hour to get coffee :( I ordered it for my morning overtime at my workplace and it was nearly time to open to the public when my breakfast came. And the croissant was stale. Sorry:(
