Blue Collar Corner in Reading

Didn't eat but menus looked good. Beer was local and lovely. Didn't feel it had much atmosphere been to several of this type and Readings is small and just doesn't feel like it has a soul. More work to do on it. Live bands/music would help dj was good but playing songs you'd expect at 3 am. Sooo much potential just needs some work.

Had a great time at the Berkshire Blag event on Bank Holiday Sunday. Wife and I went for the Gurt Wings, absolutely delicious whilst listening to some amazing music by the DJs, the music was the right volume that allows you to have a chat or get nearer the DJs and have a boogie!!

Great place but pricey for what it is! Love visiting Blue Collar and the food is always tasty. However the beer prices are getting extortionate. They have a big menu that states pints are £6.95, but they are actually about £8 a pint - a 15% increase! A bit of a shock when you get a big round in.

First visit a couple of weeks ago with a group of mates. Really good atmosphere and the foods options were good. Went for the Girt Wings, big portions and really tasty.

Overzealous bouncers. Great food and beer.

Great funky DIY mini box park style place with multiple food outlets, good beer on tap and communal seating. Loved it and will return.

Great atmosphere from a quirky and cool venue - the team at blue collar really make you feel safe and welcome with additional security on busy nights as attentive floor staff should you need anything during your visit! Food comes in the form of various kiosks that change out frequently but best of all Gurt Wings is a long term stable mate now!

We had the pulled pork hot dogs and cheesey chips and they were delicious! The seating area and DJ’s were great! We loved the festive decorations and atmosphere! We loved the music and songs and were singing along! Staff were really lovely! Thank you so much for a great night! ❤️🫂🫂❤️XXXXXX

Had Jack the chipper fries and they were soooo good. Atmosphere is nice and Xmas decor is very pretty :)

Non alcohol service is really slow

Sat drinking a drink and a rat went running from around the food stalls, under the benches and out of the front doors! Was not really expecting that!

Guys - the burger society is insane! I've never had a better chicken burger in my life. I have no idea how they got it that crispy but the burger was still juicy. Flavour was on point. Can't recommend it enough.

Great concept, previously very good but the food has gotten more expensive and the quality has reduced. They also don't make it clear when the food stalls close and the time seems to change based on demand. Unfortunate as it started off great.

A great lunch at Blue Collar corner. Everyone was able to grab something and it was a great vibe and atmosphere. Drinks were purchased from the small on site pub and the food from a collection of different stalls. I got the fries and they were huge. Well worth a visit.

Always a good time to be had here. A rolling variety of food vendors and a solid choice behind the bar. Music can be hit or miss.

I liked it, and it's a great idea and welcome addition to the town centre. The burger stall is massively overpriced though (£12 burger from a stall with No chips...really?!). The saffron place is slightly overpriced but more reasonable. Pizza place was great , though limited topping choice. Shame the balcony area is designated smoking area... Will give it another go when out for drink...this was a family lunch trip.

Had a lovely fun evening at Blue Collar! Love the new app idea too. The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable - I was served by George who gave me some great beer recommendations. Will be back soon!

Outside venue with a few different food containers, bar and Lot's of different seating areas. Either up on the top of the containers in the main area or out side the main area.

I like it and it's a grateful place to meet but the drinks selection is really low and the toilets are really festival like. Food it great and the selection idea is fab

Didn't have food. But amazing atmosphere. The hub radio played really good music. Definitely a place to go.

It was great! Plenty of atmosphere but not so many people that it was too loud. Great choice of food, something for everyone, and fast service.

A surprise oasis in a city centre.

Nice chilled atmosphere catching up with friends with a beer in the open air. Had dinner reservation elsewhere but food looked good

Spoilt by ridiculously loud music played on poor quality speakers. Just a distorted mess. We had to leave after our first drink. Then to add insult to injury I went for a meal at the restaurant next door and all we could hear was the blue collar speakers all evening. Sort it out.

Great little venue tucked away in a central location - bar staff are a little slow (no queue management) but the drinks were great and reasonable priced.

Really wanted to like this. Unfortunately, it's just somewhere to sit out in the open and be charged extortionate prices for below average food and drink. Bog standard 'craft' lager at nearly £7 a pint. I've tried several of the food options and always been disappointed- latest failure was being charged £4 for a tiny tray of 'Belgian Fries', which turned out to be frozen chips which were only Belgian if you paid another quid for some mayo. Wouldn't even give me some salt. Just a bit rubbish really. Theres actually a pub 20 metres away which offers all the same things for probably less and it has a beer garden. Disappointing.  Security staff are friendly though.

BCC has quickly become a Reading institution. The rotating food options offer something for everybody. Craft lager for under £6 is rare to see these days. Tastes good too!

Great food and service and venue, however, put off by the fact the table was so sticky our paper plates stuck to the top and ripped.

What a place! I wish we had something like this closer in Guildford. We were lucky to visit on a day when they had a competition running between lots of visiting food stands. The grub was out of this world. So much variety and so much enthusiasm for what they do. Loved it.

Blue Collar Corner is a funky shipping container type pop up venue in Reading town centre. This is different. Inside there are a number of food bars offering a range of tasty food in good portions. I had the coco chicken and it was good - and a big portion! The main bar serves beer from a local brewery. Plenty of seating downstairs and upstairs - it's a fairly large venue. Live DJ playing. Overall a nice vibe with a relaxed crowd. Definitely worth checking this out in the summer.

Stumbled across this on a sunny day & really enjoyed the rooftop & the decoration as well as the 'street food'.

I’ve been here loads. It’s a bit of a gem to be honest. Good changes regular to support local business and I ain’t had a bad meal once. The beer is from the Double Barrel Brewery in Reading, which is outstanding. The beer is reasonably priced. There’s always something going on here from Markets to DJ events to food courts. If you’ve not been you’ve missed out

Went on Sunday afternoon with only 2 places you can choose food . We choose to eat from Naakaa thefoudiescorner and was amazing, Funky Frankie was so tasty went for the lamb version fries also had a kick from the spices. Chicken biriani was succulent and right amount of heat.

love this venue - great vibe fab food

Love the idea - imagine it works well in the evening. Came for lunch - mainly families with a few kids/babies and couples about but the management think it’s super trendy to have the speakers on LOUD all day long. It’s hard to hear one person across the quite large tables anyway. Throw in an over zealous DJ and it just became much less enjoyable. Suggest before 3pm or so turn the volume down 50% and just stick on some lounge music so your guests can have a conversation that doesn’t involve learning to lip read. Came to hang out with my wife not gurn and rave during our lunch out. Thanks

What a great place! First time I had been there. Lots of great food choices! Will visit again!

This is a nice, cool, different kind of setup. A sheltered area housing a few different hatches of a combo of street food and a Bar. Nice sturdy benches set up for you to take your pick. With heaters above you which do not fail to keep you warm. The food, reasonably priced and definitely did not disappoint. The men's toilet block could have been a little cleaner. All in all a nice eating experience. I will definitely return.

Cool place! Covered, heated, music is on, and the food is great. A choice of Vietnamese, Burgers, Wraps, Coffee or Argentinian. Try the Chorizo roll, its really good. Dogs welcome too

What's not to love! Great choice of food vendors even with the rotation. Reasonably priced and great to support independents in Reading!

What a fantastic venue. We met for a surprise 50th, drinks flowed and the food was exceptional. As always an excellent selection of cuisines for everyone’s taste. The team were super helpful in our planning of the event and helped make it go off with a bang! Thank you!

This place was lovely, we didn't eat here but it looked and smelt awesome! The bar was good and the atmosphere was great - totally coming back to try some of the various street food. Despite it all being outdoors there are lots of heaters and it's mostly undercover.

What a lovely place! The food was delicious, there is a wide variety of cuisines. They also show sports on the tv. Live music. The staff were friendly. Would defiantly recommend to a friend :)

A relatively new establishment in the centre of Reading which was originally made for Summer, but has since evolved with plenty of coverings and heaters for those colder nights. The age groups largely vary but mostly millennials and older generation tend to indulge into a beer and some food, while watching some much loved sport. Great place with great vibes.

One of our favourite places in Reading. Great atmosphere, excellent choice of food stalls and very good beers. Often have DJs playing and they run a lot of events like food festivals and markets

Awesome corner for Reading's excellent street food scene

We hired out the terrace for mine and my girlfriends 30th and it was the perfect venue. Awesome food, great music and the service was perfect, George looked after us all night and made it a great occasion. 100% would do an event here again and will be back for the food and a ding larger very soon!

Love this bar, a hidden gem with good music, really good selection of food and drink. One of the best places in Reading on a sunny afternoon to relax and drink Pimms!

The environment gave a very floral and lovely atmosphere. However, depending on time the tables can be more of less very occupied and the chairs and tables are quite sticky. Food was really good, and cocktails decent but maybe a bit overpriced for the quality. Still very good if you want an outdoor environment that feels a bit more exotic

Not too crowded. All the seating is outside but undercover. There are some heaters over the tables. If it's raining you get wet going to the toilets. The food was expensive but normal for Reading. Staff were friendly.

Noodles did not taste fresh been under heat lamp too long I think, beer had a aftertaste like a slightly bitter taste, but otherwise ok, bit dirty around the edges compared to other places I have been in London.

Went here and i have to say i had the worst experience ever on a evening out, the guy on the mexican taco stand by the way is was rude, all the traders food was priced more or less restaurant prices only one trader was showing their hygeine rating, one person was picking his nose behined a counter £6.20 for a pint of ale in a dirty glass, the music was gradualy getting louder and louder and it was only 7pm,( so loud i could not hear people on the same table) vegan options are very very limited. If you want mediocre food try the place at your peril. I hate writing negative reviews if i could had left no stars i would. I notice other people have complained about loud music too before reading reviews.

Amazing hangout with great vibe. There are seats with heated lamps. The vendors rotate. Run to get to taste the wonderful Makan Malaysia… delicious food with great service!!!

Great atmosphere, awesome selection of food venders (can't wait to try them all - they're even doing colabs now 😍) and an amazing selection of local beers (now bigger range of soft drinks!). Definitely worth a visit, I was there for the evening but I'm sure it'd be a great place for lunch, lots of seating. All round good vibes! Update: There are now new traders in all the containers every couple of weeks! Really looking forward to tasting all the different independent food venders. Glad to see a local business keeping it fresh and new! Exciting!
