Rude manager Adam, bad attitude, waited 20min for portion of chips too.

Went for dinner. Waitress of her own accord offered options for a salad, which we agreed. When it didnt arrive, another waiter and waitress insulted us by saying we were paying less so we couldn't get what we wanted. When they themselves had offered it. Manager ignored us. Total shambles with no respect for customers. I would avoid.

Quite a nice place for somewhere to eat

One of the worst burgers I've ever had. Edible but that's about it. Overcooked, low quality grisly mince, a pathetic piece of lettuce and some basic aioli in an oversized brioche bun. Truffle chips were false advertisement best described as grated cheese chips. Food took far too long to arrive and it wasn't peak period. If you're charging full price put in full price effort.

Came oh a busy evening. Unfortunately there were not enough staff. It took 15-20 minutes to get a drink order at the bar. The asahi was poor and the Guinness was out of stock. Very unfortunate as I'd heard good things about this place. Such a shame.

I was originally looking for a pub that stocks Jeremy Clarkson's Hawkstone beer. Unfortunately, this trip was almost free, except for the fact that the fish and chips were really good. The food was delicious, but the service was a bit clumsy and not particularly welcoming. The ambience was okay, but you didn't really feel comfortable. A quick note to other Hawkstone fans: you won't find the beer here. And to the owner - it would be better if you took yourself off the Hawkstone map."

Our favourite West London pub! We had a wonderful evening for my husband’s birthday recently with a gorgeous room overlooking the river with its own bar. Very friendly service and nice food. Look forward to returning in the summer and enjoying the views over the river and Hammersmith bridge. Top!

Ordered food and drinks at the bar. Waited 45 minutes and our food has still not arrived (chips and pork belly bites) went to say something and they said “our system said table 5 we searched for your forever”, which is odd considering we were seated at the inside bar literally right next to where we ordered and told the server this when the order was placed. The management was very nice about the mistake, however when our chips arrive they were cold with cold Parmesan cheese (you’d think after waiting 45 minutes they would make sure we had fresh chips) pork belly bites are very small and just fat. Would not recommend, which is sad because it has a nice view and management seems kind. Maybe better bar staff or table system would help?

Good pub, decent but small selection of beers. Great view of the river and cosy feel. Food was well received all round. - 1 star for the terrible cleanliness of their toilets, water all over the floor and felt really unhygienic.

Nice pub next to the river and Hammersmith bridge. Service is nice and food is good. I took the fish and chips and it was nice and tasty. We went on a week day evening so it was quiet because you cannot see well the bridge. On a sunny weekend it can get very crowded.

My friends and I had a great Sunday roast at this pub. Tipycal British pub, right on the river Thames. From the upstairs seats you can enjoy a beautiful view of the river. They have recently renovated so the place now is even nicer than before. outside seats also available. My friend had the roast chicken and I had the vegan version. Quality of the food was great and portions were just right . Great selection of beers on tap:I reccomend their own lager, ( blue anchor). We did not had dessert as we were already full. Only one 'negative' thing was the espresso we ordered, which was more an americano (we are Italians so we have quite an obsession for good espresso).a part for this minor thing everything was perfect. Price in the average. Excellent service, professional and friendly. I would definitely reccomend this place for a Sunday roast, or for any other occasions. For couple or for friends. Also pet friendly!

We completed another part of the Thames Path today and came across this gem when crossing over Hammersmith Bridge, so lucky to get a table walking in. Excellent and first class service, really lovely atmosphere and set in such a beautiful location overlooking the Thames, within the shadow of Hammersmith Bridge almost. We had Pie and Mash which was simply delicious, we highly recommend this fine place, try it!

I had a great experience recently in Blue Anchor! The atmosphere is great and everyone is friendly and easy going, definitely a great place for socialising. A big shoutout to Vicky, giving us a 5 star service the whole time. I will definitely visit again!

Had a tremendous experience, food and drinks are top notch with the atmosphere too, also the bartender victoria was hospitable and hilarious too!

It’s a great atmosphere and really cute decoration. They have great local beer. Unfortunately, I had a dirty glass which was exchanged of course but still doesn’t give you a good feeling. The food was okay, but I wouldn’t eat there again specially for the price. I don’t think it is value for price. Would I come again? For drinks for sure, for food no.

Over years of visiting London we used to enjoy fish and chips along the River Thames. The ones we knew were full on January 1 and we found space at the Blue anchor. Surprise. This dish is delicious with fish to match, fries and extra sauces. In addition we had a baby and a location in a small room which allowed 6 adults to have space for the stroller. WC with changing table. Friendly and attentive staff.

Lovely pub. Very disappointing that there is no beer price shown, neither in the oub or online ( amd it's 7.50 for Birra Morretti).!!!

Granted the location is great on the river by Hammersmith Bridge, but there’s a lot to be done on the venue side. The bar service was unbelievably slow. It took two members of staff about 15 minutes to serve three customers. The situation was completely ludicrous as one of the staff laboriously made two hot drinks. The division of labour here leaves much to be desired. It would be nice if when having a long wait you got an acknowledgment or an apology. No such luck here. Once a round of two pints (one of which was an ale) came to £14.15 it was the final insult. They need to up their game here and be more sensible with their prices.

A nice pub, never been before, so thought we'd go somewhere different for a roast. Food not bad but that gravy definitely needs work. It really did just taste of nothing. Really disappointed. Make your own gravy, rather than whatever this was and you'd be on your way, as the rest was fairly decent

I discovered this pub on my last night in London, and the Blue Anchor did not disappoint. I ordered the fish and chips and their soup. The portions were large and very tasty. The pub was busy, both inside and out, yet the servers never kept us waiting. It's a great little hidden pub. It's definitely worth the trip.

We held a family event on Saturday afternoon for about 40 guests in the lovely River Room upstairs. The atmosphere was perfect with a view of the river. Matt did a fantastic job managing the bar, the food, and answering all our needs.

Excellent location on the banks of the Thames, the pub itself is cosy and comfortable. Sunday roast lunch (upstairs) was decently cooked but the portions were far smaller than expected (at £22, one slice of roast beef laid over a few vegetables just isn’t enough). Service was cold and impersonal though we were there later in the afternoon, I suppose the staff may have been tired.

Godd choice of beers, including offerings from a local brewery. If you want youngsters and more noise go to the pub next door, but this pub suits me fine. Views over the Thames and outside seating good in the summer. As with a lot of cenral London pubs, abit on the pricey side now.

Had such a nice dinner with my husband here last weekend. Food and drinks were amazing. Would like to make special mention to lovely Gabby who recommended a wine that was to die for and matched perfectly with my meal. Service was phenomenal.

I came to the blue anchor with my parents who had just flown in from austria. We needed somewhere quiet and relaxing to sit and catch up over a nice lunch. Blue Anchor was the perfect place to do so with a warm relaxed environment and great service. A young man called Alfie looked after us and his hospitality and genuine interest in us was the highlight of our visit. It’s so lovely when people find the time to stop and talk even when they are working. my parents really appreciated this, and we all enjoyed the fish and chips very much. Great place with great staff.

From the moment I walked into this place I felt at home. Bartender knew her way around a pint I’ll tell you that for free (I think her name was gabby). Perfect pour, even better service and banter. You’ve got yourself a customer for life if she keeps pouring beers like that!

Fine location by the Thames; it makes a point of clearly not being a Fuller’s pub (by the fact that they don’t have the same boring beers on tap) but I went there last night and found, to my dismay, that the prices are outta control (basically 8 quid a pint). Outrageous. As I said I do like this place - been coming here off an on for almost 20 years - but that’s a bitter blow. Reduce the prices and this place shall rightfully get its 4+stars

Recently I had an opportunity and pleasure to visit Bluer Anchor pub on Hammersmith. One of the biggest selling points of this place in my opinion is a location. Blue Anchor is right at the Thames riverbank with direct view at the Hammersmith Bridge. If one is familiar with Oxford-Cambridge boat race, I am sure you can easily recognise this location. Pub has inside and outside seating, which is a huge benefit during sunny weather, when you can enjoy your food and drinks while looking at peaceful relaxing view. Looking at the menu, you can feel pleasantly surprised as there is everything for everyone. Burgers, soups, chicken wings and of course amazing Sunday roast, where you can choose from pork, beef and chicken dishes. There is even an option for your vegetarian friends. And if you still feel peckish, there is a good selection of deserts, that will suit all pallets. Staff is friendly and welcoming. So, what else one would need. Pricewise, it is comparable to other places in that area or even in London, but one has to remember, that it is a Blue Anchor that has this stunning view as a benefit. Something, that you will find in only handful places in London. If someone would ask me, I can recommend this place to everyone, who want to spend good time in lovely area, having delicious food at this same time.

We didn't stay. Our table that we booked had people there who wouldn't move because they were eating which I can't blame them as they were served food there.

A friend book us an outside table for 4 people, on arrival we were told there was people on our table and as they were having food they couldn't be asked to move. I think this is absolutely appalling and I'd never go back. We were offered to seat inside, we just stay for a drink as they place also needs to be refurbished the pictures shown on website must be years old. Not a happy customer.

Lovely place near the river, we had a drink and fish and chips before going to the Apollo. Unfortunately they ran out of chips and offered french fries which were quite disappointing, hence the 4 stars.
