Bleu Steakhouse in Maidstone

It was a really great experience, right from phoning our booking . Really great staff, very friendly, attentive and informative. The steaks were cooked to perfection, exactly as we'd ordered. There was a good choice of sides and sauces and the wine list was comprehensive and really good value. There was a really nice feel to the place and it was very relaxed. There was no feeling of being rushed. We will definitely be back and would recommend it highly.

I have dined at Bleu Steakhouse on several occasions and it has always been a fantastic experience! The halloumi and chicken burger are my go-to dishes, but you can't go wrong with their steak! From start to finish, every bite is a treat. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable meal!

First time here, booked for partners birthday. Made to feel so welcome and a few lovely touches thrown in for her special day, really appreciated thank you. Service great, very attentive, helpful when choosing wine allowed us to try a few before selecting the bottle. As for the steak, WOW! Fantastic cuts and cooked just right. Will visit again. Thanks.

After using Bleu for take away burgers, we had been excited to try eating in. We weren’t disappointed and were so impressed. Food was excellent and really great value for money. The restaurant is really well done and a pleasant environment to eat in. Jamil who looked after us was a really great host and looked after us so well. It was like eating in a London restaurant with nice personal service.

The restaurant has a stunning decor which enhances the ambiance of the restaurant. Staff were welcoming, attentive, helpful and personable. The food was well presented and very tasty. All three of us enjoyed our meal. The presentation of the cocktails was rather special.

This is a great venue and very delicious food, which is a prepared and presented very well. The team who work there are excellent in looking after you from the moment you walk through the door until you leave. There is a good choice on the menu. The whole restaurant is presented well. And you can even add a little drama to your meal via the dry ice. I throughly recommend Bleu Steakhouse in Staplehurst.

Restaurant was well presented with tasteful helium heart balloons, and a red rose was given to every lady as they were seated. The food was incredible, so tasty and perfectly cooked. The presentation on the plate was mouthwatering and the flavours didn't disappoint. Staff were so friendly and all the food arrived quickly after ordering. There was also a wonderful singer adding to the ambience of the evening. Would recommend this restaurant and will definitely be going back. Deserved every one of the five stars!

Nice food but gutted they haven’t got more veggie options on the burger menu. A hallumi burger or a ‘no chicken’ / ‘no beef burger’ would be lovely!

Stay way clear folks. Ridiculously ridiculous pricing for the most disappointing food. Steak skewers and buffalo wings to start. Skewer meat was tough, the wings were as if they were rolled in crisps with chilli sauce on them and stupidly spicy.Anyway all was left in hope of better mains, I ordered T bone Medium rare, which was so well done it was white and was like chewing ya granny’s old slipper,obviously been frozen to death, taste was.. cheap as ya like, nowhere near all the drama the online menu makes,was left after a mouthful!seasoned rosemary fries which we all ordered and looked or tasted no different to normal fries and veg which I fought trying to cut them with a steak knife which wore thin after a mouth full. My colleagues ordered “wagu” it was a sirloin! (And by the way she’s not feeling well this morning!)I don’t think the staff really know what they are selling in the way of steak, they very rushed for a place with only six tables, wasn’t a nice atmosphere.No pudding as we were desperate to get home and get dinner on! I KID YOU NOT. 7 people, Buisiness party,£500.00+ was the price for steak and chips ya better off going to Lidl. I’m a big steak eater, I’m lucky enough to eat out frequently in nice places and this folks is TGI Friday on an average night, no more only you’ll pay sky high prices. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY GENUINELY We all went to Sainsburys and bought food to cook at home afterwards 👌. Proceed with caution.

First off I would like to mention I have extensive cheffing experience in multiple fine dining restaurants - this is a constructive review from one hospitality professional to another in a hope they take on board some advice. This is also a warning to anyone who plans on eating here. Marketed as a Argentinian steak house - the decor was that of a tacky curry house. The owners are Asian and seem to have zero concept of the cuisine they are claiming to serve. I’ll break the meal down as I want to be fair and mention the good points as well (albeit very few). First off, cocktails - £12 for a margarita that tasted like pure salt water with a hint of lime. There was so much salt on the rim of the glass i it took away any possibility of flavour from the alcohol/mixer itself. Starter - £6.50, buffalo wings served in home made buffalo sauce. Confused by what happened next - When the starter was placed on the table, for some reason the staff came over with dry ice and poured smoke all over our table, as visually impressive it may have been (for a very short moment) the smoke continued to pour out for almost a minute completely covering our food and spilling over onto the table next to us food as well who looked as confused as us. A very cringey attempt at beingunique. But - Credit where credits due - The chicken wings were lovely and the buffalo sauce was great, nice but very amateur presentation and only 4 small wings. I would recommend 6/8 or lowering the price as the ingredient value of that dish is less than a pound. Here is the bit that I wanted to mention, the catastrophic steak. 🤢 The married couples steaks on the table next to us looked absolutely horrendous and was half eaten when the plates were removed. In all honesty, had we not already ordered drinks prior to seeing their food, we would of left immediately. After seeing the quality of their steaks and also noticing being quite shocked they had wagyu on the menu, When the waiter took my mains order, I asked what the BMS (marbling score) of the Wagyu was - the waiter and I’m assuming manager, had absolutely no idea what that even meant. I then politely requested to see the Wagyu prior to buying it - I was met with a very blunt - “no” I asked again politely- “no” this is a very very basic and industry standard request to see the most expensive cut of meat available prior to it being cooked. I told them to give us two minutes and then eventually after asking a very nice young waitress, they brought out the steak to show me. Here is some advice; if you are going to serve one of the most prestigious cuts of meat available, have the brain to educate yourself on what you are serving people and have the decency to follow the standard procedures of the “high end steak house” you’re claiming to be. When the steak came out to eat, I felt sick just looking at it. It looked like it had been boiled / cooked in the microwave - it was covered in oil and COMPLETELY unseasoned. No bark, no crust, no sear - It had not been cooked at a temperature high enough to render the fat down and I was served with a soggy depressing grey coloured steak that was 90% gristle, I also ordered it medium rare and for a relatively even sized steak one end was rare and the other over done. Another piece of advice - due to the high fat content of a wagyu you don’t need to use oil (or at least very little) to sear the steak as the natural fats will do the work for you. It was actually disrespectful this restaurant had the audacity to place that mess on a table in front of someone - both kitchen and front of house should be ashamed for allowing that to leave the kitchen. The sides - Mac and cheese ? It was literally just over cooked macaroni with cheap rubbery cheddar melted on top and once again - ZERO seasoning. It was foul. Rosemary Chips - pale, anaemic, serviced with dried out rosemary on top and yeah, you guessed it - ZERO seasoning. My girlfriends meal - at £20 for the main she was served lamb cutlets in rosemary gravy, to me, this tasted like a lamb dish from a curry house. Asian inspired seasoning. The so called “gravy” looked watery and terrible and had chunks of dried out old rosemary in it. The lambs taste its self was actually ok but it was dry and chewy. she had a truffle oil mash as a side, this was basically unseasoned (again) dry mash with lumps of butter still unmelted and truffle oil poured over the top. Even without desert what we ordered was close to £120 - unbelievably over priced for appalling food and a tacky environment. I really do hate complaining or causing a problem for any establishment but this was completely unacceptable - I quietly complained and sent the food back and was charged only for drinks and the starter - again, credit where credit is due, they messed up the whole meal and attempted to rectify it. They offered to make me something else but I was not even tempted to try anything else on that menu. I did appreciate the gesture as I think the manager realised the pathetic quality of food served. In all honesty the place has 40/50 good reviews, maybe I was unlucky and caught them on a bad night but after seeing the food on the plates surrounding me, I highly doubt it - I genuinely have to question wether they are real or left by staff in an attempt to draw new customers in. Or, it’s deemed good as the locals have nothing else to compare it too. To sum it up - A laughable attempt at a steakhouse that had me back at my Airbnb with an empty stomach and feeling too queasy to eat anything after the terrible food I had just been given at bleu steakhouse. I highly recommend staying away until they have learned the fundamental basics of how to run a kitchen and cook/season food. Nobody wants to go to a restaurant and have a bad experience. But if people aren’t honest then they will never improve. Good luck to them moving forward

Very friendly welcome and we were taken by the quiet, laid back ambience of Bleu. The rib eye steaks were amazingly tender and flavoursome; you didn’t really need a steak knife. We were delighted with the dry ice performance when the mains were served - a bit theatrical but it was a nice touch. Reasonably priced wines and we recommend highly the Nieto Malbec as the perfect accompaniment to steak. Great desserts too, particularly liked the biscotti.

Of all the wide variety of restaurants we’ve been to never have we we been asked to leave & take our wine & order pudding for takeaway!! Understand there is a 2 hour slot but not even in London has that service ever happened to us! Lots of tables were surrounding the bar waiting to be seated for over 30 minutes and lots people being asked to leave! Appalling service! Shame as steak was nice, but overbooked & overpriced!

Me and my wife went for dinner and the whole experience was just like nothing we've ever experienced, the establishment is top notch and very well decorated and well maintained, the staff are very kind, very professional, very welcoming and just plain lovely, the food was 10/10 and the atmosphere just made the experience quite special

This restaurant has the hype online and in the media and that is what it sadly was, all hype. We arrived for our booking and had to wait for 15mins for our table, no complimentary drink just hanging around over people’s tables while we waited as the place was over cramped. The waiting staff were polite enough. Food was nice but at £60 a steak I was expecting a lot more flavour and ambiance. The dry ice effect at each course was not needed. I want to be able to see my food and eat it not have to wait or brush away smoke. Sadly I won’t be returning unless the atmosphere goes up a few stars and matches the price of what you’re having to pay

The interior is quite pleasant but cramped when full with nearby tables being too close. The food was not very warm, in some cases cold, and the steaks not cooked as requested. Disappointed as expected it to be a better dining experience. Parking is nearby.

Would recommend this place for a special occasion, we went with a group of 5 people. The service is very hospitable and they looked after us really well. We had the T-Bone steaks and had all the starters. Best food in town, everything was cooked to perfection.
