Relaxing break which was must needed away from stressful jobs , staff very friendly and the accommodation was great with a bed big enough for 4 , the food is cooked to order using local products, BBQ & Jerk chicken was just heavenly all so a pizza we had was so crisp not soggy just how I like it , atmosphere romantic especially listening to the live music

The bad: No Ales, only lagers on tap. No food apart from crisps these days. Toilets are small and dingy. The girl behind the bar didn't know what an IPA is. The good: If you like lager, sports on the telly and pool, it's a great place and the locals are quite friendly. Also you can go to the many takeaway places in the area and bring your food in and no one bats an eyelid.

Really nice establishment unfortunately owned by an egotistical selfish man who souly thinks of him self and not his customers totally Backwards in trying to establish a successful business which could be such a good venue for people to have an amazing night out but the due to the arrogant of the self centred owner being so selfish and acting on his egotistical machomistcal manly image his business is a total failure which is such a shame as the venue is really nice and comfortable just the owners arrogants let's it down from being a great bar /club night out in Maidstone such a shame as the bar could be so successful if managed professionally such a shame . ..

Lashings is a nice sports bar just on the outskirts of Maidstone town centre. The atmosphere is relaxed and the Venue is split into sections so you do not have to just watch sports. There is dining available, cocktails and there are two pool tables.

It's had a lot of money spent on it. Needed updating and is in the process of that now.

Our table of 6 were looking forward to Lashings’ return of their roasts which we used to enjoy on a regular basis before their refurbishment. With a price increase, it was worth it, had the quality been as good as it used to be. Unfortunately, this was not to be. To begin with, the table was dirty. So dirty that when the plates were collected at the end of the meal, there was a nice crisp, sticky sound effect as the plates were lifted from the table… which were collected before everyone had finished too. Not very good. When the meals began to arrive, the plates were hot which is excellent, but we then had to wait 10 minutes for cutlery, which when it arrived was all dirty and looked as though it hadn’t even been washed. We had to point this out to the waitress and she then returned 5 minutes later with clean cutlery, by which time the meals were just about warm. The roast itself, was very poor quality. The potatoes were barely cooked and not in the slightest crispy. Oh and 15 minutes after ordering the lamb, we were informed that there was no mint sauce, and were offered horseradish as an alternative. Those having beef on the table were catered for, but those with lamb were not. It was offered that they could pop to the shops to get some after the meals had been on the table for 10 minutes already…. The lamb was incredibly fatty, which you expect a certain degree, but if it has been cooked well the fat partially dissolves and leaves a fantastic flavour. Again, not the case here; what was left on the plate was half the portion of meat that was served. Those that had the beef said it had a good flavour, but some said that it was tough. It also comes with cauliflower cheese, which I appreciate lots of people enjoy, but I do not. So the cheese sauce which had spread across all the carrots (before the 15 minute wait for cutlery) meant that I couldn’t even try those. All roasts were served with onion gravy too - an odd choice to include with a roast dinner in my opinion, but I suppose others may enjoy it. All in all, we won’t be returning for a roast to Lashings, which is a shame as they used to be absolutely fantastic. Apparently the burgers are excellent, so perhaps try those.

The singer tonight had an amazing voice.

A brief visit, the pub was clean and tidy, but also very quiet - we were the only customers at the time! (13:30ish on a Saturday) The drinks were average prices for a pub; that is to say expensive, but the service was prompt and friendly. I think food is served there in the evening, but if it's anything like the drink prices, I'd rather eat at a 'Spoons. The main seating area has a 'Patio' that opens onto Stone street - which is both a blessing and a curse; there's air flow, but it's tainted with exhaust fumes and there's the perpetual noise of trucks, buses and cars driving by.

Always made to feel welcome, great place to meet up with mates and have a drink or something to eat. Split screens to watch whatever sport you want.

Great, friendly bar to drink and have a few games of pool.

I don't complain and am pretty patient for an old geyser. But having been for lunch several times in the past and found it good value and good service thought a good choice. We pre booked as there were seven of us. We arrived at 1.30 and big sign said table service after about half an hour my daughter went to the bar and placed our order. An hour later I went to the bar to buy some more drinks and enquire about our food after a lot of faffing at the till I was kurtly told by the "charming " Russian lady behind the bar that our food was on its way. At 3.45 we left no sign of food. Might be last visit.

Very expensive. Staff were nice and they stay open late.

Step dad used to work for the company and they have upheld the standards for many years! Absolutely smashing it lads and lasses!

Normally closes at 6am. A good mix of people come until very late. Music. 2 pool tables. Good security. Outdoor areas with TV. Restaurant. Other TVs. You may have to queue up for a long time on a Friday and Saturday night but you can book

I and my company waited in line for 2 hours and only people came in but they had acquaintances, no respect for the other people and the security guard unacceptably offended many people, not the preferred one for any very unacceptable knocked on the door and cursed unacceptable for a security guard what his job is to oversee the world

Always loved lashings, however feel that the clientele that are let in aren't as strictly scrutinised by John as they would be before the pandemic.

Awful place. The girl Chloe serving me was rude and started drama too. Not a nice place to go. My friend also had a glass thrown at his head here before and it is too small and too busy at times which make it feel like your stuck in a box. Didn't like how unfriendly the staff were and the ignorance of the girl who is not experienced at all. Also the drink selection isn't the best I've seen and you would expect more from a bar like that. Never going back there. Been to far friendlier and calmer places.

Lashings is the place you end up when you just don't want to go home. Friendly staff, open top terrace and a couple of pool tables.

Went there for a birthday meal with family and friends, when we arrived we wasnt shown to our table just pointed in the general direction and told it's ready for us, even though the table had more seats than we reserved. Our drink orders were never taken, had to stand at the busy bar waiting and only after ordering them a waitress came to take them, within minutes of sitting down our starters were served and again within minutes of the table being cleared our main course was brought out, not allowing us to have any breathing space in between, the waitress had to ask a colleague if she was allowed to take our drink orders at the table and when being served (both food and drink) we was leant over by the waitress. Then while our desserts were being served the waitress came out and without any subtlety asked if we wanted the *surprise* birthday cake in front of everyone, which ruined that for me, we was then greeted by one of the patrons from the smoking area casually walk into the indoor eating area with a lit cigarette without a care in the world and the staff not even batting an eyelid even with the "no smoking" signs. Our food was mediocre at best. We had to keep repeating our questions to the staff as none of them seemed to fully understand English. When booking our table originally we was told we had to preorder our meal as they were meant to be busy, we was the only table there the whole night. Overall we was not happy with our meal or the service, we felt like we was being rushed through the whole thing and definitely wont be going back there or recommending it to anyone in the future.

Lager pub with late night opening. A tad lairy at times

It's that time of year again when friends and family get together to eat drink and be merry and Lashings didn't let us down ,the food was excellent ,plentiful and hot .The service was very friendly and quick considering we were a group of 20 no one was left waiting for food .Once again they pulled out all the stops ,everyone left feeling happy and full ,making the night a very enjoyable one. We will definitely be coming back next year.

Honestly its really average. Drinks are abit more costly than other bars in maidstone. Food takes a while to come out and was very average. BUT, the place looks nice on the inside and the people we were with who had the mexican dishes said they were nice so 3 stars seems about right.

Cosy place with two pool tables, nice and quiet during the day. Staff not that attentive but ok. Location convient as right by town and on the A229 however no parking on site or that close and also it's very noisy sitting outside with all the constant traffic.

This sports bar has been going since I was a lad, all my kids visited it as they grew up, nice modernisation been done. Only place I know in Maidstone open till 6 am.👍👍

We went for a meal and it was a little understaffed as the bar man was also the waiter and the chef. It was all a bit much. However it is a really nice bar, not so sure about the food.

Took the wife here back in the late 90’s for our first date and loved it then but never returned. Not because she dumped LOL. It was more because we like a variety food/places and Lashings wasn’t on our door step. I decided to take her back where it all began this year and wasn’t disappointed. Still has quality food and great service. Keep it going LASHINGS!!

I have been in Lashings a few times and I always found very organized and clean. The food is always good, just what you expect. Staff was very helpful and friendly particularly Joli, at the bar she is always willing to help so well done keep up the good work! I will definitely return if I am at that area again.

Awesome Christmas Day meal and fantastic value for money too. We loved it! Great service and I'd definitely recommend. The food was delicious, and there was plenty of it! We were all impressed.

Went for a reunion meet up to watch the football and play pool. Had a great night, food was good (burgers, ribs, chilli, etc) & reasonably priced, friendly service. Would recommend.

The great thing is the bar was open till 6 AM. The only negative thing I'd have to say was they weren't serving any food. But all in all a great bar with great English pool. Thanks to the staff and owner for a great night in Maidstone.

I have always found the staff friendly, the food good and the atmosphere to be enjoyable in Lashings. This is not an upmarket place as such but is much better than most sports bars and much better than your average pub food.

We went on a 2 course Groupon deal. Had a Calamari Starter between us, there was loads. We shared & still couldn't finish it. Very nice too. Main courses were one Chicken & one Lamb Tender Lean, came with Salsa, Salad, Chips or Rice, bread. Again loads & very tasty. Had a Desert between us, Sticky Toffee Pudding with Ice Cream, Strawberries to garnish, looked & tasted great. Very good wine. Service was excellent. We've eaten here before & it's been very good food for a fair price but I didn't expect this with a Groupon. A totally better than expected experience.

Big portions, good cocktails, good value with groupon coupon

Visited here with a Groupon. Really great value for the food we had. Started with fish soup-partner said it was the best fish soup he had ever had. Lots of fish in it, huge prawns and plenty of bread. The potato skins were generously topped with cheese bacon and mushrooms. Mains were a lamb kebab and chicken wrap again both really tasty and plenty of food.

Our local now. Always open with friendly staff & great food, reasonably priced. Our go to place for lunch or dinner.
