Miller & Carter Steakhouse in Maidstone

Tried the Sunday sharer roast for the first time and it did not disappoint! One of our favourite restaurants and is always a great touch when the staff are extra friendly and welcoming. Sarah is so lovely and always so chatty which is so lovely to have in a restaurant

Lovely evening for our engagement, chilled and food was lovely, our server Tony was brilliant.

Had the Sunday Sharing Board which was lovely, would recommend. Service from Viki was great.

Finally came and had the roast dinner sharing board and it was absolutely amazing, as was our server Kayla who couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly!

I ate at another Miller and Carter a few years ago and vowed never to go back. I got some vouchers from work of which i had to spend with you. Honestly one of the best dining experiences ever. Food was perfect and service was faultless. Couldn't ask for more

Came on Thursday night and was turned away due to dress code and went to another miller and carter down the road where it was no issue. I was wearing an expensive tracksuit on a week day evening. The server was rude, miller and carter is a pub brand who also own Toby carvery so not sure why they suddenly think they are Michelin Star standard, and the tracksuit was designer not gymwear. You lost your restaurant £200 of revenue through being a knob on a week day evening when the restaurant was quiet.

Meeting friends for a steak, lovely atmosphere, great steaks, a bit more expensive than your usual pub but the food quality is far superior.

Emily are waitress was lovely and very professional very happy customer, will definitely come again 😘☺️

Couldn't fault the food - great quality, good portions, well priced. However, on this occasion we were left standing at the door for 10 minutes before someone even acknowledged our presence. We were then made to feel very small for arriving 10 minutes early and told in no uncertain terms to 'go and wait over there' as she was busy serving. Yes, we were a few minutes early, but when travelling any distance these days you have to allow for traffic conditions. I'm sure they would have preferred 10 minutes early rather than 10 minutes late, or perhaps we were expected to sit in our car until the exact time our table was booked. Either way, we didn't expect our table to be immediately ready, but it would have been nice to at least have been acknowledged. When we were finally acknowledged there then ensued a debate as to who had booked the table and where they were. In fact, the person who made the booking has mobility issues and couldn't stand in the entrance waiting for such a long time, so had taken a seat in the adjoining area whilst her guests queued on her behalf. English was clearly not the first language of the girl who had ignored us and spoken to us in such a curt manner, and if this was the reason for her apparent rudeness then perhaps her skills should be better utilised in another part of the restaurant. Once seated, another lady took over and was considerably more helpful and reassuring. As I say, food was fantastic, but our initial greeting had left a bad taste in our mouths (sorry, pun intended), which is a shame as we have eaten at several Miller & Carters as they have always offered good food and service. Service is 0 stars for the first lady, 5 for the second lady, averaged in Miller & Carters favour to 3 stars. 1 star deducted for atmosphere as clearly the appalling initial treatment put a dampener on our enjoyment.

Since they took over harvesters. Miller Carter has become money Seats close together. Noisey. But still for a premium cost.

We visited maidstone miller and carter this weekend. Our table server was Spud, Spud catered to our every need. Not only was Spud friendly but she was a very knowledgeable.

the gravy leaked out of the containers it was in and soaked through the bag holding all of the other items

Jack was attentive, friendly and welcoming. His menu suggestions were spot on. Steaks were cooked beautifully and all the flavours were Devine. Perfect Friday night dinner.

We had Daisy as our server, she was absolutely wonderful. I have never had a server so welcoming and chatty, she really did make the experience so much better.

This is a lovely steak restaurant located on the outskirts of Maidstone, with easy and free parking (just remember to register your details). The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is Coeliac-accredited, giving special care to gluten-free orders—a big plus for us. Their steaks are excellent, and the lunchtime deal is incredible value: 3 courses for £20, including a succulent rump steak. It’s the perfect spot to visit on a weekday off! Just a small note—during festive seasons, the lunch set menu is sometimes replaced by seasonal menus. While these are equally tasty, they’re not quite as great value but still worth it. Highly recommend Miller & Carter for a delicious meal and great dining experience!

Christian is a very good host even though we was sat abit late to our table on New Year’s Eve everyone’s professionalism was admirable. Everyone was soo polite and accommodating especially the service from Lee she was kind and attentive and funny.

We had a special celebration meal here for 10 people. Everything was excellent - the food, the service, waiting times. Daisy, our waitress was amazing, so friendly and helpful. She explained things well and gave excellent advice and interacted really well with the whole party. Thank you to all concerned, especially Daisy.

First time at Miller & Carter, Just returned from an absolutely fantastic meal, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, but most of all our server Anthony was just brilliant, his knowledge and explanation of the various steaks was very informative, plus he was extremely friendly and welcoming and made our evening, thanks Anthony, will definitely be back.

We are there on Saturday for a Christmas lunch, we were a big group so we were sat over two tables but they placed us in a nook where we could still all talk together. Our server, Sarah was very attentive, charming and a lovely sense of humour. The food and drinks were great, rolled out of there by the end of it after having the festive menu.

Perfect food and service. Spud was able to answer all our questions and had all the knowledge on the steaks we ordered plus was able to recommend some he best way to have them cooked, also young Nicholas was great with his service to our table and managed to deliver our food and sides with a smile and was very efficient.

Went in the other day for a birthday meal, our waiter jack was amazing, was so nice, chatty and helpful with recommendations, service was great all evening. The food was delicious too, perfectly cooked steak and all the recommended starters were perfect, had an amazing experience.

As regular M&C visitors we took family for a pre Christmas meal and weren’t disappointed. As usual the food was amazing and our Steak Expert, Sarah, made the evening even more enjoyable. Really great service from her, everything delivered with a smile and a good dose of fun. The others were impressed and may well be converts too now. Thank you.

Visited this branch on Saturday for our anniversary. Was a lovely vibe, the atmosphere was great. Very friendly and welcoming from the start till leaving. We received great service from our server Lyndsey, she was always at hand to make sure we had everything we needed. Good was 10/10 especially the garlic mushrooms, although everything else was wonderful too. Cocktails were delicious and strong not watered down. Thanks for such a please t evening

Booked this restaurant as its exactly halfway between us and our friends. Very nice place. Lovely chaty waitress perfect place to meet up for Christmas. Waitress coped very well with the 14 of us slightly pickled 70 year old!!!! Well be back

The welcome was amazing, table was ready and waiting. It was very busy and as my uncle found the room to crowded, needed a room that was a little less busy. Our waiter was kind and moved us to another part of the restaurant. We had the festive menu. The ribeye stake was absolutely delicious. Our our new waiter was friendly and efficient. It was all and all a beautiful lunch

Don't bother going . Arrived an was asked to wait at bar that was completely unattended so stood there for what seemed like forever until a young lad rocked up with 0 enthusiasm put our drinks on the bar flat beer an cokes no ice ect . We was asked to wait in a seating area until our table was ready.. lady the manager I believe kept coming back an forth (yelling!!!) People's names to let them no table was ready . Once ours was ready an sat down at a sticky dirty table we order an everything comes out cold can't get anyones attention . We eat an wait for bill again can't get anones attention so have to go find somome an wait at the unattended bar again for the bill to be handed to you .. couple hundred pounds can get far better service an food elsewhere most unprofessional place iv been to will never be going again . M an c need to look at the staff especially management can't even get the basics right

We always visited princes road in Dartford and they always produce a very high standard to beat but we visited Maidstone back in august for our anniversary and was so impressed we booked our company Christmas meal, from the second we placed the booking communication was brilliant, sent our VAT receipt promptly, the meal had no complaints whatsoever and the staff make this restaurant stand out from the crowd. We 100% will be back again, thank you for a great evening.

Was lovely meal and great service last week here at Maidstone miller and carter but we parked in what we thought pub car park and have just received £100 fine in post today from euro car parks for unauthorized parking. Husband rang miller and carter and explained was raining last week when we arrived they explained that there are signs but we didn't even notice any signs when driving in and was couple minutes late and also no staff advised us that we should register our number plate. Miller and carter said they would cancel the fine. So definitely inform them on arrival to register your number plate if going there for meal.

Nice food and great service from Sarah who was very friendly, chatty and funny. Only downside is that I assumed the potatoes with my festive turkey roast would be ‘proper’ roast potatoes, but they were roasted new potatoes. Still nice enough, but not as expected. Otherwise very tasty.

It was so dark in there I had to use the torch on my phone to read the menu,the waitress brought our food out, was nice but I couldn't actually see what I was eating when we finished we had to put the empty plates on another table because we couldn't find a waitress,then when we finished I had to walk around the place to find a waitress to pay the bill I wasn't impressed so needless to say she didn't get a tip.and I won't be going back.i could of understand if they was busy but they wasn't they was just talking and laughing in the kitchen.if they read this I would say look after your customers first then have a chat and a laugh in the kitchen.

Disappointing service. We were met with a rude and dismissive attitude from the greeter. Not a good first impression. This is aimed at the men on the reception desk greeting people, today we popped in at 1pm , we didn't book even though there was availability online we walked in to this men telling we have to wait an hour but a lot of tables are empty. Then it's 1.15pm, we checked online and booked a table at 1.30pm, he told me to find our own table in an area without explanation. When we sat down, the table was dirty and hadn't been cleaned properly. We waited for over 5 minutes after seated, but no one approached our table to serve, take our order or even offer a drink. We haven't been given any explanation on what's going on. The greeter was unhelpful and didn't seem interested in assisting us. Horrible!

The food? Simply incredible—every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. From start to finish, everything was perfect. We can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Always a good steak here. Don’t think the over all service or setting quite makes it a knock out 5* but the food none the less was great. I saw my wine and soft drink sat on the bar for ages before being put at the table so given was a table clearly in sight I’d have liked to see a quicker delivery and simple no ice require at but getting ice just makes the 5* experience down to a 4. But that’s petty. Food was really nice however, the same green/cress dressing really doesn’t need to be on all dishes. Halloumi nibble, the starter and main blessed with it. Seriously why are all restaurants doing this nowadays, just gets frustrating as adds almost no value. Anyway I get distracted. Like I say, food was really nice for a lunch so can’t complain
