Blend 'n' Shake in Wigan

This place is awesome, absolutely adorable I'd say. It's a small shop with big choices on what kind of shake you want and even food. Milkshake was delicious, definitely cant wait to come back and try various other flavors. These kinds of shops where I'm from are fading away - so maybe I'm over enthusiastic about it but it really made me happy and nostalgic about places I miss a lot.

Waited 25mins for our Sandwiches came out and we noticed they were.the.wrong filling as soon as I mentioned that they were not what we both ordered the.young girl was very argumentive with me saying I ordered such a filling and I didnt. All this is infront of my 4 year old son. Eventually she took the sandwiches back and eventually got the right filling baring in mind this took anI was very disappointed with the way this situation was handled. Being in the catering business myself there is one rule I learnt is that the customer is always right and never argue with the costumer. Therefore I will not be returning. Word of advice blend and shake pick your staff wisely. And maybe more on the mature side.

My experience at blend and shake was excellent it is my best experience at a dessert shop the staff were absolutely lovely all of the people/customers and staff and when we missed they gave us our things we missed out on definitely recommended

Oh you’re in sweet tooth heaven when you visits here. So much choice!!! Not very expensive either. This would definitely be worth a visit

This is a little gem in Ashton town centre, THE Shake shop offers so much more than shakes! Cakes, toastier, sandwiches and don’t get me started on the Christmas menu!! Dipping gravy and pigs in blanket sides 😍 All year round, no matter the weather, this is an enjoyable place to go and caters to everyone. One of my favourite places to go on a day off with my sister or my niece and nephew and even just myself. Treat yourself to a smoothie - my favourite is a Gene Kelly

upon not getting served for at least 10 mins for sitting down before a regular came in and made feel unwelcome we left and went elsewhere ... middle aged woman with glasses sneered at both myself and daughters after. Regular couldn’t have there usual seat .. not even worth one star!!

Nipped in here to get a milkshake. 2 little girls in front of us. 15 mins later finally sign of the milkshake making its way to us. £3.25 plz. The lad behind the counter couldn't understand why I had given him £10.25 !!! Exaperated by time I came out!

Just what Ashton needs for the children! And myself! We enjoy ourselves at every visit and find it impossible to choose from all the variety. I usually come here to treat the children for one of the fabulous milkshakes or ice creams through the summer months. The staff are very friendly and accommodating

We have visited here a few times and have never been disappointed. The coffees are lovely and we are always spoiled for choice as to what milkshake or ice cream dish to have - tons of choice! They also have a good range of hot food too, though I’ve only ever had a toastie and that was fresh and tasty. The staff are always really welcoming and friendly. It’s not a big place but the seating is comfortable enough, with window seating so that you can watch the world go by as you slurp on a milkshake. This is a great place to eat and drink, one that we’ll be visiting regularly.

Excellent freshly made food and coffee loads of choices on menu. Small pleasant cafe well worth a visit. Loads of different flavours of ice creams

We called and had 2 x latte and 2x lovily cheese and ham toasties. Really lovily and tasty. Highly recommend

Nice milkshakes good for kids I got chocolate one and A banana milkshake it was not what I expected but not bad kids liked it so a thumbs up from me nice staff kid friendly too ! Will go again you must go and try the shakes and see for your self .

first off this was one of the best milk shakes I have ever had.So it is such a pity that the service was so slow and unprofessional

We have been visiting since the shop opened and each time we come we love it, the food is delicious, the ice cream and shakes are amazing but most of all the staff are all really lovely and friendly we have become regulars here and love it. I love that there are also colouring books, crayons and reading books to keep little ones occupied and in school holidays they run crafting sessions daily which is a bit hit. It's a lovely hidden gem, you must visit!

La primera visita para una fiesta de niños. Personal encantador que los niños hacen sus propios batidos, un cambio agradable de los partidos normales. Lo recomiendo.

Visitamos aquí con mi hijo de dos años para un helado. Ella era muy particular con su orden... Color Chocolate, helado y salsa roja. sprinklers El pedido llegó perfecto :-). Fueron grandes libros para colorear para los niños de usar y terminamos quedándonos una hora. A este punto era la hora de comer, así que pedimos una ensalada de Turquía para mí y un sándwich de jamón para mi hijo de dos años. Ambos eran muy frescos y cocinados a la orden. Sin duda volveremos cuando en Ashton :-)

Blend N Shake is somewhere I visit on a regular occasion as I work on the same road! Most lunch times I'll visit; they've got the best selection of food available and the milkshakes are always a treat! They do a great selection of iced drinks perfect for the summer as well. Cannot fault the place.

Super place for the kids to experience a great all round milkshake. Menu choice is fun and exciting for little kids and they will love it!!!

Loving the Shakes, Hot Choc was great too! Park down the road and just a short walk and you can mix what you want. Kids (incl teenagers love it!)

A milk shake place that is modern and retro at the same time. Music from the 50s, themed milk shakes (plus plenty that you can just ask to be made), great cake and the lunches are amazing.Great value for money and amazing atmosphere.

Everything about this place is ok. Service, food & drinks all ok. I found it to be nothing special so won't be going out of my way to visit again.

Well I never thought I would go into a milkshake bar and get a great coffee and my wife have a great milkshake, I got a 10% voucher from the market over the weekend so we thought we would give it a go, if you are passing it is well worthwhile checking it out

I sometimes take my children here for a milkshakes treat and I enjoy it just as much. The atmosphere, decor of the place and staff uniforms etc add to the fun! The milkshakes are amazing and I'm always spoiled for choice. My husband can't have milk and dairy products but they do a milk free option too! The food and cakes look yummy and I'm looking forward to trying them in the future.

Every time I have been here with my children the staff are always so friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. They also provide free activities for children to keep them entertained. In the summer holidays they have put on a different theme every week and really go all out!They also cater for people who have dairy free at no extra cost which is a rarity!!!Would give them 10 stars if I could :)

Went today with my children for the dinosaur week activities and to grab some lunch.I was expecting good shakes (which were amazing!) but i wasn't expecting such good food too!The toasties had fresh not tinned pineapple, the ham was carved from a large joint not just shop bought slices and the bread was sooooo fresh! Good prices, great lunch, friendly staff and dinosaur feet to make which kept the children entertained. Will defiantly be back!

My Dad and I visited blend 'n' shake while visiting family in Wigan. The staff were really friendly and the toasties and sandwiches were fresh. The milkshakes were really yummy. We will definitely be visiting again when we are in the area. It's just a same it's not closer to home.

My daughter thinks that the milkshakes served here are very yummy and the ice cream is very tasty. Service is great because everything is fresh and made to order.

We just had latte but whilst we were there watched as freshly made sandwiches and salads also soup was made for other customers

Staff are lovely, shakes, ice creams, coffee, you name it, it's all delicious. Been many times and my children and I love it. Everything is fresh as it can be.

This place is fabulous! It is so unique. Who knew you could put some many different things into a milkshake! Staff are so friendly and welcoming. My kids love it here. There are always free activities to entertain the kids during half term. We visit frequently and the service and quality cannot be faulted. I have to laugh at some of the more negative reviews on here - it comes to something when someones only critisism can be aimed at the 'containers' that the drinks are served in! I for one have no issue with the milkshakes and smoothies being served in a retro glass in perfect keeping with the style of the establishment.

I visited Blend 'n' Shake with my 5 year old son solely on the basis of that it stood-out among the old-fashion surroundings of Ashton-in-Makerfield....it is the last place you'd expect to find a traditional North American style refreshment establishment. I may sound culturally deprived here, but I had preconceptions and visions of Back to the Future, the 1950's milkshake cafe/shop scene when George McFly orders a chocolate milkshake :)Anyway, the decor of Blend 'n' Shake was fantastic, the staff where friendly and attentive, the milkshake was delicious and the price was reasonable (gritted teeth moment!). However, the only reason I, and I'm also assuming all others, entered this establishment was for the 'unique experience', an experience that Wigan in general does not offer. A major disappointment and the reason I have not, and will not, visit Blend 'n' Shake ever again is due to the 'container' I consumed my milkshake from. If you are going to open a 1950's style milkshake bar, then it may be worth jumping that final hurdle, investing a little bit more - for shame if nothing else - in replacing the awful, tacky, totally unmilkshaky coca cola pint glasses that I painfully slurped my milkshake from. I remember these coca cola glasses being freely handed out at Mc Donald's if you purchased a Big Mac (see pics on google).Please invest in proper milkshake containers, it totally destroyed my experience....strangely now preferring Mc Donald's value shakes - I told you I was culturally deprived ;)

A quick shake when picking the wife up after her nails had been done. For a Sat pm it was really busy but you could see why, I had a Malteser shake and it was excellent. Recommended but as someone said before not cheap.

Though slightly on the expensive side this is a lovely please to eat (and of course to drink milkshakes). The interior harbours an American theme with American food for sale, and American music playing over the speakers. The staff are very polite and always lovely.The milkshakes are delicious (with honey being my personal favourite) but you get to choose between basically any chocolate bar, biscuit, 'gooey stuff', or fruit that you want.Lovely place! :)

Nipped in for a quick drink before work, such a good selection of drinks to choose from, decided on a protein shake smoothie, lovely mix of fruit in there with some almond milk too. Was delicious. Will definitely go back again and I must try the sandwiches everyone is raving about.

Called in last week and had a platter (can't remember what it was called).......cheese, ham, pork pie,apple,pickle,side salad and lovely bread.......another review thought it was a child's portion but I'm an adult male and it was hard work to finish it...but I did as it was delicious.....then I had a small portion of Fredericks rum & raisin ice cream....love the decor and especially the old music being played in the background...and all the staff go out of their way to serve you......I'll definitely be back for more.

We went after walking past numerous times and curiosity got the better. Not disappointed at all. Staff were pleasant and we didn't wait long at all. I will be taking the 4 year old as I'm sure he would love it here after school for a little treat. The menu is quite overwhelming though and some photos of the selections would be really helpful to decide what to order! Also something to read whilst sitting there would be good as I didn't see anything and most cafés usually do have a newspaper or magazine. Thats me being a bit picky though! I will be visiting again. Thank you!

I had my lunch here today, I had the Hound dog sandwich which was Brie,bacon,spinach and cranberry sauce it was the best sandwich I've had in a long time. I also had a milkshake which was also amazing. The staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. I will definatley be visitng here again.

I don't normally use this kind of place as I don't like milkshakes but had heard the sandwiches were good and a bit different so I decided to give it a try. I decided on a platter dish to take out as it was a nice day and I fancied a change - this platter is similar to a ploughman's lunch in content but for the price I have to say there was very little of that content. I don't have a massive appetite but in all fairness I couldn't even rate this as a children's portion. Great place for a bit of an American feel with nice staff and clean premises but a review on food price or portion size is needed.

Love it here, more so than the kids! My youngest has a Babychino and a cute spoon biscuit to eat it with. Homemade cheesecake to die for! Cheese Platter - Gorgeous. Set up like an American Diner, even down to US radio playing.Well worth a visit!

I have had multiple visits to here, and the soup and a sandwich combo is fantastic and the home made cake is just yummy.....and don't go here without having a milkshake or my favourite smoothie Peach and Mango it's lush

Delicious shakes!! I tried the mint chocolate brownie special.... Yummy!! Fun atmosphere and great American decor. Def worth a visit!!!

Fantasic service amazing ladies, they make the best milkshakes I've ever had, even if you live across the other side of the country, I would definitely recommend coming here!!!

Have called in a few times, love the soups especially the mushroom one great tea and coffee, and to top it off they have Fredricks ice cream....oh and nearly forgot skinny shakes made with frozen yoghurt

I have visited Blend 'n' Shake both to eat in and takeaway. The home made soup is so tasty and the desserts are to die for!! I would highly recommend a visit.

The shakes are really delicious my grandaughter loved her whilst I had a delicious cup of loose leaf tea. My sandwich was freshly prepare by the two lovely girls who own it. They also sell Fredericks ice cream which just topped of a great visit
