Our server Michael (Mike G) was absolutely lovely at the Standish restaurant and saw to our birthday girl brilliantly! Gave her the birthday she deserved. Food was amazing and drinks too. Had a lovely evening x staff are brilliant!

What a fantastic restaurant. It's lovely for a casual lunch or for a special occasion. I've never been in the evening...yet, but will do so very soon. We were greeted today by Kieran, who was very welcoming and amusing. Although we'd booked an indoor table, he found a table outside for us as the sun had decided to shine. Their special lunch menu is such good value for the amazing food you get. I had the broccoli and cheddar soup, ricotta and pecorino tortelloni with butternut squash and white chocolate and pistachio profiterole. 3 courses for £18.95! Each course was absolutely delicious and the service was very friendly. I would very highly recommend Albert's.

We booked online the day before as we know the venue is always busy. We were seated promptly and the service we experienced was brilliant from all servers. I would like to specifically mention Mike G our main server who was friendly and very professional. The food was true restaurant quality with choice not found in even good pub eateries and at a price that is very competitive. We will be returning soon.

Our daughter’s 25th birthday, we’ve been a couple of times before, thoroughly enjoyed our evening! Mike T was our server, he looked after us really well, so friendly & helpful, a credit to Albert’s. The food was lovely, well cooked & tasty, although the duck spring roll was a little small for a starter, the ham hock terrine was yummy! Fish & chips was ample, as was my daughter’s Moules Frites! One of her favourite dishes, so a happy girl. Desserts were nice to finish off, although I do wish I’d had the profiterole, it looked really nice, my daughter said it was. This is one of the nicest, if not the nicest set menu Albert’s has offered. The atmosphere is fab & such a nice place to sit & chat whilst enjoying the lovely food. Thank you for a lovely evening, we will be back 😊

Lunch time meal , spacious nicely decorated restaurant. Continuity with same waiter , wasn’t rushed . Vegetarian dishes . Starters and main course good quality , and a tasty coffee . Not hurried so managed to have a good chat with friend . Would go again, no issues .

When we arrived we were warmly invited over to our table. Our server Jack shortly came over to get us some drinks and food. He was polite and attentive, couldn’t ask for anything more! The food came and honestly was one of the best roasts I have ever have. It’s safe to say we will certainly be returning

Had a very enjoyable birthday lunch. Lovely table. Our server, I think her name was Iwa, Couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and professional. She was a delight. All four of us really enjoyed our food, which arrived beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. Food came out from the kitchen piping hot with no delays. Absolutely delicious! The first time we went to Albert’s in Standish was in August 2019, and I’m afraid at the time I gave a poor review as the service & wait were awful. We went back today Sunday what a difference. The food & service were absolutely first class. I can absolutely recommend the food & experience. I had roast beef, with all the trimmings and my partner had a smashed burger. We both had starters, crab & prawn croquets, and crispy prawn massala, both very tasty. We will be looking forward to going again 😊

We visited Albert’s on Sunday for there Sunday roast platter. There was a healthy amount between the 2 of us and really with the price! Our server James was always there when we needed anything and was great help when advising us about the platter we ordered and if it was worth adding any extras

Emma was an amazing waitress, we came to have some breakfast with our six month old, not only was she incredibly accommodating, but we asked if it was possible to have some scrambled eggs for our daughter, we must give thanks to chef Ky as she absolutely loved it!! We will definitely be back again thanks for an amazing meal and experience

So disappointed with this meal. I went with a friend for her birthday and was looking forward to a lovely couple of hours in beautiful surroundings. As it was lunchtime we chose the 2 courses for £14.95. I chose the pasta . When it came it was 3 pieces of pasta on a layer of sauce . The sweet was tiny too . We both wished we had chosen the fish and chips as it did look like a more substantial meal.

A restaurant worthy of a city in downtown Standish! The decor and ambience are great. The lunch menu has got a good selection to choose from, and is also good value. Service was good and the food standard was excellent, with a nice slice of bread and butter as an inclusive optional extra with lunch time fish and chips! After a 3 course Mother's Day meal I had to lie down! 😁 On another visit for the breakfast menu our party were well looked after by the staff, especially Emma our waitress. Food was tasty and soon arrived after our order was placed.

Great 🍽 experience marked slightly down for service as they served an incorrect steak, but did give us an additional item, having investigated and admitted fault. So great follow up Albert's. Defo going there again as it's a great vibe.

We had a perfect birthday meal for my boyfriend. Morgan was our server and he was great! The food was amazing as always (we would really recommend the hummus and pitta small plate) and they even brought out a little birthday cake for my boyfriend at the end of the meal, without me even asking! A really lovely evening all round.

Restaurant understand their clients mainly come for atmosphere and good cocktails, but food is basic. Atmosphere is fantastic. Both times I have come here, half a year in between, the service is overall just okay. Polite as expected but depends on your party. When I first came with a friend, I can say that if you’re young, expect to be left a bit ignored and treated offhandedly with long waits, regardless of spend. But for my second visit with family, we were assigned an excellent charismatic waitress which made everything smoother, the waits more tolerable and gave us a higher tolerance and satisfaction for the experience overall. I wish it was consistent for all guests. Both times there is a long wait for first round of drinks; Albert’s should be offering people something like a bread basket or olives for this long time. They give out a free mini dessert if celebrating occasions which is a sign of standard good service. Wait staff prompt clients for reviews at end of their stay, showing management’s commitment to improving the establishment’s image. A positive for the food is that there is a good menu variety. However. Food is only for show and lots of it is from frozen. Not great quality but excellently thawed, cooked and presented, which makes for a nice photo...? Steak is not good, 1 finger thin or less. Portion size for main varies by dish. With a big enough order, you’ll be full. Sauces and garnishes only have mild, or plain cream flavour with no salt or pepper e.g. main curry, coleslaw for burger. Chips were from the bag (not that hard to do fresh chips in a restaurant!) It’s all edible for a dinner out, but the decor does try to betray a higher quality, so all menu items should strive for freshness to match for minimum £50-60 a head to eat and drink comfortably. The cocktails have more attention than the food. In truth, the cocktails are excellent here. Desserts are nice. Overall average restaurant experience. I would come again for the drinks and atmosphere to meet with a friend, but it’s no culinary experience. Can do better at home which is at odds with atmosphere and purpose of dining out, but thankfully not too expensive, apart from steak. Attentive waiters carry the establishment. For a place as beautiful as this, it’s a shame that this is all I can give it!

Excellent Sunday Roast enjoyed by all. Would definitely recommend.

We spent NYE here, paying £80 per person, and honestly, it was a mixed bag. Here’s the breakdown: The Good: The venue looked lovely, staff were attentive, and we didn’t wait long for food or drinks. The fireworks were fantastic, and the table settings were really nice. The Not-So-Good: The atmosphere was chaotic and stressful. Having another party in a separate room meant security guards were constantly running around, and we had to share toilets with the other group. It got so bad that security was stationed in the toilets, and there were even police cars outside. We were hoping for a relaxed sit-down meal with music, but instead, it felt like a completely different vibe due to the unruly behavior of some attendees. The live music was disappointing too—it was tucked away in a corner, barely audible, and by 11 PM, it was replaced by a DJ that turned the whole place into more of a nightclub than a restaurant. The Food: The starters were poorly thought out, and no one at our table of four enjoyed them. Desserts were unimpressive—just store-bought cakes thrown onto plates with no effort at all. While the mains were okay, the portion sizes were tiny, especially when it came to veggies and sauces. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially for the price. Based on the glowing reviews and the venue’s reputation, we expected much more—but this time, it was a miss.

An excellent New Year’s Day meal this evening. The surroundings are perfect, and the restaurant is beautiful with everything wonderfully presented. Our food was superb—10 out of 10. The service from Jack was outstanding; he recommended excellent dishes and paced our meal perfectly. We will definitely be returning. A big thank you to Jack and all the staff at Albert’s Standish!

We spent the evening of NYE at this restaurant where we reserved a table for 4 people, we were welcomed and led to our table where the waitress was kind but at the same time very stressed constantly intervening to order drinks, she could see that we had drinks in glasses, but the empty plates sat on the table for a long time, live music thrown in the corner at a low volume imperceptible to many people, I specify the fact that I have this place for live music, the food was not 5 stars, small portions and combinations of different tastes and the dessert shared with the partner was bought from the supermarket and thrown on the plate, at a place that this 1 toilet is not enough, you have to wait 15 minutes in line in a restaurant that respects something like that is not enough, and you can't pay cash on the bill, only card where the tip is included directly on the bill without asking yourself if you agree with the amount passed, ridiculous. I mention that I am a guest in the UK, but I had good expectations for the NYE evening for the amount paid, a minus because there is no place for smokers, if you want to smoke stay in the rain because the bodyguard directs you to the street.

First time visiting.. party of 4 for my sons masters degree.. our customer journey was second to none..the atmosphere was electric..the food was perfect.. our streaks cooked to perfection.. hat's off to the management team and head chef for running a extremely well oiled machine..your staff are extremely attentive.. very polite and always smiling.. I have one little grip.. I'm fully aware of turning tables over..however once we placed our desert's order ..5 minutes later the Bill was placed on our table .( For everyone to see perhaps get your team to fold the recipe or place it into a recipe folder)..while we were eating our desserts our server brought the card machine over for us to pay.(personally I found this a little rude ) I had to tell her at least let us finish our desserts..the whole experience was flawless until the end ( unsure if our server was in a rush to get her tabs closed before her shift ended..)

We visited for the £14.94 for two courses lunch. There was a fantastic number of dishes to suit all tastes and specific diets. Each course tasted amazing and the service was first rate with very quick, efficient and very friendly service. Our waitress Jackie was so bright and cheery and was a breath of fresh air. It was my partners first visit to Alberts, Standish and he now says it's his new favourite. Amazing value for such superb food we will be returning very soon.

this was our first visit to Alberts and it most certainly won’t be our last. We had a delightful time- price was insanely cheap - the food was delicious - flavours dancing in my mouth - well done to the chef for putting their own twist on classic items. stunning presentation - ambience was calming - Alexander C was impeccable his attention to detail was second to none - so polite and charming. Fantastic service - front of house lady with blonde hair was so knowledgable about the events - true brand advocates for your company. Saturday lunch birthday celebrations.Firstly the positives, lovely venue and great service and really good selection for our vegan dinner. Loved the selection of non alcoholic cocktails too. Top marks so far. The rest of us chose the 3 course set lunch menu . The selection was good and portions just right BUT the halloumi starter was not enjoyable sadly. It consisted of a big bowl of tough mixed salad leaf , the type you can buy in a bag but avoid, with 2 small cubes of halloumi on top . Basically it was a bowl of not very pleasant salad leaf with a bit of dressing and unfortunately 3 of us ordered it . Not a good start to the meal . I personally think the goats cheese pizza was the best plate amongst all our main courses. The chocolate brownies were lovely too. Would we go again? Possibly but definitely choose a different starter or try the à la carte .

We had an afternoon tea for my friends birthday.We couldn't fault anything from the minute we walked in.One of our party was coming from Manchester and had been delayed but every effort was made to keep our table longer and then we were given another table to extend our stay.Staff were fabulous and a big shout out to James and the chap as we came into Albert's who both were kind and looked after us from start to finish.Thanks to everyone.

Breakfast was really lovely- good variety and freshly cooked. Our friendly server Emma was brilliant- unprompted she brought me a brownie with a candle in it as she had realised it was my birthday. We all really enjoyed eating at Albert's and would definitely go again- highly recommended.
