Great atmosphere, fantastic food, we had ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly by Jessie on the grill. Our waitress Emma was amazing and really looked after us. Highly recommend the steak, Parmesan and truffle mash and of course the half price champagne on fizz Friday!!

As always excellent food reasonably priced. Emma served us well and couldn’t have been more helpful. This also goes for other members of staff we interacted with.

We visited Alberts Standish and had excellent food pairef with excellent service from everyone including Morgan whos professional manner was exemplary. I recommend their Malayan chicken dish, yummy.

I booked The library for a small gathering for my Sister in laws surprise 50th, the night was fabulous, the events team sorted everything over email, we was allowed to set up the room nice and early, the service in the evening was quick and smooth staff very attentive, food was lovely and all the guests had a great time

Lovely lunch here for our friends birthday! Food is delicious, perfectly sized menu with great varied choices. Aga, our waitress was fab with everything and even personally made sure our daughters specific dessert request! Highly recommend!

Alberts is one of our local favourites always serving up great food and a unique atmosphere. Jack and Sarah were particularly lovely this morning, setting out bank holiday Monday off on the right foot with some steak and eggs and a hanging pancake stack for our son. Great job team!

Cameron made us the Solero cocktail and Choco Berry cocktail. Easily the best cocktails I’ve ever tasted! We ordered them again straight away. Staff were lovely and food was good!

Staying overnight in Standish on a trip to Scotland from Somerset and picked Alberts from Trip Advisor. Totally surprised by this delightful restaurant with the most well trained staff we have come across in many years. The food was outstanding from a shortish menu but well cooked and presented as well as being extremely tasty. Pleasant seating arrangements, very attentive staff - I dropped a knife but by the time I'd bent down to retrieve it a waiter was at the table with a clean replacement. Were extremely happy to book dinner for our return trip eight days later and tried different meals with exactly the same results. Congratulations to the management for such high standards.

Food was fine but nowt special really, staff were lovely too. We went for a birthday meal, nice table but couldn't hear yourself think for the noise, it was very busy so lots of people noise, but really do you need a DJ playing 'boom boom' nightclub music all night in a restaurant too? I expect to be able to hear the person across the table when I go for a meal, we spent a few hundred pounds on the meal but hardly spoke to each other because of the din we couldnt hear each other. Do you want to be a classy restaurant or a nightclub because the two dont mix. We won't going back!

Great service from Milan and even though the restaurant was its usual busy self the food came out quickly and was excellent. Milan was very attentive, and made my son’s birthday memorable.

Had a lovely afternoon to celebrate my 60th birthday. Emma gave us amazing service and the food was excellent and the solero cocktail is to die for. Sat on the terrace in the sunshine with a drink afterwards a perfect afternoon.

We went here for an evening meal with our kids. I would recommend prebooking a table as this place is quite busy. Our food and service were exceptional. The kids got to make their own pizza, which they loves. My steak was cooked to perfection. I honestly could not fault any of our evening. We would highly recommend Albert's. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Wow what can I say, this has got to be the best place for a food experience I've ever been to. The service is exceptional, our waitress Aga was very attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed. The venue is such a nice place with a view of the restaurant and you can see the chefs prepping food which is pretty cool. And the food, well, that is just exquisite. I had the Rib eye steak with proper chips and it tasted amazing. I've never eaten a steak so perfectly cooked. My wife had the chicken wellington and it was so nice.You have to try the chocolate orange cheese cake, it's so good. All the dishes from starters to mains and desert were so beautifully presented. If you like a good experience you have to give this a try. Expect to pay around £60 per person and it's so worth it. This is by far my new favourite place to dine.

Had an amazing wedding at Albert's! We loved it from start to finish. The fabulous team were amazing throughout. Special shout out to Leanne who helped us organise our special day and we could not have done it without her!! Leanne played a huge role in our special day and made sure everything ran smoothly. All guests commented about how gorgeous the venue is. Thank you so much to Leanne and the team for such a special day. The food (BBQ) was amazing and we loved the canapes which were gorgeous too. Love a bit of Albert's, and this one was a brunch visit. Menu has been scaled down a little but still some absolute staple brunch offerings. Service is always v good, but this time we had the pleasure of Emma and Michael looking after our table of 8. Efficient, friendly and both totally getting it in terms of how to engage with a family table covering 3 generations. My mother even adopted Michael. We'll be back for more of Albert's v decent food and cocktails soon, that's for sure!

We held both our wedding ceremony and reception at Albert’s in Standish, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything went. From start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional. The whole team were so friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the day—but we would especially like to thank Emily Portlock for everything she did to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. Emily’s attention to detail and calm, organised approach made the whole day run so smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble, and we’re truly grateful for all her support in the lead-up and on the day itself. The venue looked stunning, the food was delicious and of a very high standard, and the staff were fantastic. We received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was and how smoothly everything ran. We genuinely loved every minute of it and couldn’t have wished for anything more. Thank you again to everyone at Albert’s Standish—especially Emily—for helping us create such special memories.

Fantastic Venue, food's superb and staff are very attentive, as live 30yards away, therefore very local and just what Standish need, however, when ordered same drinks on 3 different occasions, 3 different prices???, Pint of Carlsberg & Medium Wine with Lemonade, ranged between £9.50, £10.75 & £11.30, quite a discrepancy!! That's not good enough & needs to get that sorted,

First visit of many. A few cocktails at the bar before our table was ready, the Pornstar Martinis are the best we've had! The menu had plenty to choose from with very reasonable pricing options. Wish we could have tried everything but we'll definitely be back for more. Starters were delicious, steaks were delicious. Desserts were also yum, menu doesn't do them justice, order what sounds good and go with your gut instincts. The pear tart was amazing!

I really hate to leave a poor review as the service here was amazing and everyone really enjoyed their food, however, after eating my sea bass I have had awful food poisoning and have had to take a day off work 😔 I hope this is just a one off incident but so disappointing to pay to be so poorly 👎🏼

Aga was very polite and provided us with any extra help we needed. The breakfast share plater was really tasty along with the cherry pancakes. We will definitely return for breakfast.

I just had a lovely meal for Mother’s Day and therefore it’s such a shame that I feel as though I have to leave this review. Our server James was amazing. He was incredibly proactive at making sure our visit was perfect and was so happy the entire night. Our table however was very close to the front of the restaurant being manned by the short blonde lady (who I assume is one of the managers), and I’m really sorry I have to say this but the way she was speaking to the staff really put a downer on the night. All of the servers that we came across were so friendly and were putting in a great shift for a considerably busy day, yet the manager let so much irritation out on them every time they seemingly went over to help. I hope this kind of attitude is not the norm and other than that, our experience with the food and service was delightful.

James was our waiter tonight, he was fab - really attentive, very friendly & was overall brilliant. Informed us he was training but he’s doing a great job, a great asset to Albert’s.

What a fantastic restaurant. It's lovely for a casual lunch or for a special occasion. I've never been in the evening...yet, but will do so very soon. We were greeted today by Kieran, who was very welcoming and amusing. Although we'd booked an indoor table, he found a table outside for us as the sun had decided to shine. Their special lunch menu is such good value for the amazing food you get. I had the broccoli and cheddar soup, ricotta and pecorino tortelloni with butternut squash and white chocolate and pistachio profiterole. 3 courses for £18.95! Each course was absolutely delicious and the service was very friendly. I would very highly recommend Albert's.

Another place serving up style over substance. Great style though, lovely atmosphere and the service was really good. Very good actually, some of the most attentive and helpful I've received, even in the attempt to make good what the kitchen could not. The food unfortunately is just deeply mediocre tasteless hot plates of emotionless chain batch cooked meh that no amount of atmosphere and service can make up for. Though I see that is the business model, I had really hoped for more than well lit dross rolled in glitter.

Alberts is a beautifully designed restaurant, that has very successfully managed to make a big space feel cosy, with clever lighting, that makes it both intimate and well lit. An unpretentious menu, well executed , the kitchen obviously has a great team. There is enough choice on the menu to allow several visits. Although busy, there was just the right amount of time between courses. All of Albert's staff are welcoming and professional, our server was Jack, who was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable and well presented, he was a credit to what is clearly a very well run team.

We booked online the day before as we know the venue is always busy. We were seated promptly and the service we experienced was brilliant from all servers. I would like to specifically mention Mike G our main server who was friendly and very professional. The food was true restaurant quality with choice not found in even good pub eateries and at a price that is very competitive. We will be returning soon.

Just had the most nicest food in Albert’s Standish. Love this restaurant. We sit outside on the terrace as this is dog friendly. It’s always very busy inside . Always nice and cosy outside undercover and with outdoor heaters. Lovely friendly staff. James our server was lovely and attentive .
