Birthday Sunday lunch celebration excellent food and service

2nd time vising for our anniversary and we were coincidentally sat at the same table ♥️ Emma our server was polite, attentive and matched our energy. The food was fantastic as always. We even got a little complimentary brownie to celebrate the occasion. Can't fault anything. See you next year

We were served by Jack for my birthday meal. The food was wonderful, the service was top tier and all in all was a great experience. Jack was prompt with our requests and a lovely waiter to have for such a special day. Would definitely return!

Wow what can I say, this has got to be the best place for a food experience I've ever been to. The service is exceptional, our waitress Aga was very attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed. The venue is such a nice place with a view of the restaurant and you can see the chefs prepping food which is pretty cool. And the food, well, that is just exquisite. I had the Rib eye steak with proper chips and it tasted amazing. I've never eaten a steak so perfectly cooked. My wife had the chicken wellington and it was so nice.You have to try the chocolate orange cheese cake, it's so good. All the dishes from starters to mains and desert were so beautifully presented. If you like a good experience you have to give this a try. Expect to pay around £60 per person and it's so worth it. This is by far my new favourite place to dine.

Had an amazing wedding at Albert's! We loved it from start to finish. The fabulous team were amazing throughout. Special shout out to Leanne who helped us organise our special day and we could not have done it without her!! Leanne played a huge role in our special day and made sure everything ran smoothly. All guests commented about how gorgeous the venue is. Thank you so much to Leanne and the team for such a special day. The food (BBQ) was amazing and we loved the canapes which were gorgeous too. Thank you again!!

Love a bit of Albert's, and this one was a brunch visit. Menu has been scaled down a little but still some absolute staple brunch offerings. Service is always v good, but this time we had the pleasure of Emma and Michael looking after our table of 8. Efficient, friendly and both totally getting it in terms of how to engage with a family table covering 3 generations. My mother even adopted Michael. We'll be back for more of Albert's v decent food and cocktails soon, that's for sure!

We held both our wedding ceremony and reception at Albert’s in Standish, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything went. From start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional. The whole team were so friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the day—but we would especially like to thank Emily Portlock for everything she did to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. Emily’s attention to detail and calm, organised approach made the whole day run so smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble, and we’re truly grateful for all her support in the lead-up and on the day itself. The venue looked stunning, the food was delicious and of a very high standard, and the staff were fantastic. We received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was and how smoothly everything ran. We genuinely loved every minute of it and couldn’t have wished for anything more. Thank you again to everyone at Albert’s Standish—especially Emily—for helping us create such special memories.

Fantastic Venue, food's superb and staff are very attentive, as live 30yards away, therefore very local and just what Standish need, however, when ordered same drinks on 3 different occasions, 3 different prices???, Pint of Carlsberg & Medium Wine with Lemonade, ranged between £9.50, £10.75 & £11.30, quite a discrepancy!! That's not good enough & needs to get that sorted,

We had a lovely meal and were looked after extremely well by Becky. The service was superb and second to none. We both had our Stag and Hen nights there on separate nights 2 years ago, and are regular visitors. It was brilliant we love it there. Thanks to all the staff very professional indeed. First visit of many. A few cocktails at the bar before our table was ready, the Pornstar Martinis are the best we've had! The menu had plenty to choose from with very reasonable pricing options. Wish we could have tried everything but we'll definitely be back for more. Starters were delicious, steaks were delicious. Desserts were also yum, menu doesn't do them justice, order what sounds good and go with your gut instincts. The pear tart was amazing!

Had the champagne Friday experience very good. I tried some snacks aswell.

I really hate to leave a poor review as the service here was amazing and everyone really enjoyed their food, however, after eating my sea bass I have had awful food poisoning and have had to take a day off work 😔 I hope this is just a one off incident but so disappointing to pay to be so poorly 👎🏼

Aga was very polite and provided us with any extra help we needed. The breakfast share plater was really tasty along with the cherry pancakes. We will definitely return for breakfast.

Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Weekends book a table in advance. Cheese pie is good as is orange cheesecake.

I just had a lovely meal for Mother’s Day and therefore it’s such a shame that I feel as though I have to leave this review. Our server James was amazing. He was incredibly proactive at making sure our visit was perfect and was so happy the entire night. Our table however was very close to the front of the restaurant being manned by the short blonde lady (who I assume is one of the managers), and I’m really sorry I have to say this but the way she was speaking to the staff really put a downer on the night. All of the servers that we came across were so friendly and were putting in a great shift for a considerably busy day, yet the manager let so much irritation out on them every time they seemingly went over to help. I hope this kind of attitude is not the norm and other than that, our experience with the food and service was delightful.

What a fantastic restaurant. It's lovely for a casual lunch or for a special occasion. I've never been in the evening...yet, but will do so very soon. We were greeted today by Kieran, who was very welcoming and amusing. Although we'd booked an indoor table, he found a table outside for us as the sun had decided to shine. Their special lunch menu is such good value for the amazing food you get. I had the broccoli and cheddar soup, ricotta and pecorino tortelloni with butternut squash and white chocolate and pistachio profiterole. 3 courses for £18.95! Each course was absolutely delicious and the service was very friendly. I would very highly recommend Albert's.

Alberts is a beautifully designed restaurant, that has very successfully managed to make a big space feel cosy, with clever lighting, that makes it both intimate and well lit. An unpretentious menu, well executed , the kitchen obviously has a great team. There is enough choice on the menu to allow several visits. Although busy, there was just the right amount of time between courses. All of Albert's staff are welcoming and professional, our server was Jack, who was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable and well presented, he was a credit to what is clearly a very well run team.

Another place serving up style over substance. Great style though, lovely atmosphere and the service was really good. Very good actually, some of the most attentive and helpful I've received, even in the attempt to make good what the kitchen could not. The food unfortunately is just deeply mediocre tasteless hot plates of emotionless chain batch cooked meh that no amount of atmosphere and service can make up for. Though I see that is the business model, I had really hoped for more than well lit dross rolled in glitter.

We booked online the day before as we know the venue is always busy. We were seated promptly and the service we experienced was brilliant from all servers. I would like to specifically mention Mike G our main server who was friendly and very professional. The food was true restaurant quality with choice not found in even good pub eateries and at a price that is very competitive. We will be returning soon.

Just had the most nicest food in Albert’s Standish. Love this restaurant. We sit outside on the terrace as this is dog friendly. It’s always very busy inside . Always nice and cosy outside undercover and with outdoor heaters. Lovely friendly staff. James our server was lovely and attentive .

We went for a family birthday meal at lunchtime. It was really busy, but we were never rushed. We were given all the time we needed. Food was delicious and really good value (we did the lunch time menu) They are very attentive to kids needs- offering kid sized soft drinks and offering to bring out their food at the same time as the starters. Waiters were all friendly and professional, without being over the top. Ten out of ten!

This was our first visit to Albert's Standish and all 9 of us were very impressed. Shout out to our server Emma who looked after us so well from the minute we arrived! She asked if we were celebrating something and we told her it was a very late Christmas get-together. A few moments later she came out with crackers for our table! Very nice touch! Emma, you were a star today, your customer service was second to none, thank you! The food was incredible! Sunday roast was out of this world! Can't wait to go back!

A nice setting served by some great staff, (Jake was very supportive) but for us, this is only average food and not a true restaurant, it's a bit like posh fast food It has very fixed and inflexible menu options. The broccoli and cheddar soup was served with a swirl of chilli oil, (not mentioned on the description) The fried fish in this image was small and had a very thick batter. The chips were dry and powdery Many people like this venue and we can understand why, but the food didn't work for us.

First time at Albert's and i must say i was really impressed with everything. I am sure we will be back again.

The food was ok not amazing but above average and the service was acceptable however I was surprised to find out they didn’t take cash. When the hospitality industry is meant to be struggling I find this surprising as many people such as myself will be reluctant to return to a cashless venue. I’m always concerned when somewhere is cashless as to me it shows a lack of trust in the staff, the same staff who are cooking and handling your food (and I don’t agree with the“security” excuse that is often used. how often do you hear of robberies at restaurants? With cash use actually on the increase in the last year hopefully this will be something that’s reviewed in the future?

Absolutely stunning inside and excellent service, I can't help but feel however the Sunday roasts, which we both had, were missing the mark. Reasonable prices for the place it is but the food, while great, was missing something which would have made it a 5

A party of 4 of us visited to celebrate our friends, 75th birthday. The food was delicious and presentation was excellent. We chose from the £15.00, two course lunch time menu and the broccoli and cheddar soup starter was delicious. The service was quick but staff gave us enough time to choose from the menu and were very attentive, polite and friendly. Would highly recommend a visit.
