Blank Coffee in Lambeth

My friend wanted to try out this coffee shop because she was excited about the vegan options they offer, so a group of us went for a visit. The environment is very indie, trendy, and cozy. The staff was kind, friendly, warm, welcoming, and helpful - they all seemed super happy. All of the food was absolutely delicious as well! We ordered some toasties, brunch, coffee, and pastries and my friend commented that the almond croissant was the best he's ever had in London! My only complaint was that I got a halloween cookie and while the taste was good, the cookie itself was really dry. I highly recommend this spot and would definitely go back.

First rate brunch today: garlic mushroom on toast and an oat milk flat white for one and a full vegetarian breakfast (has a fancy mane) and English breakfast tea for the other. Lovely ambience in the underground area. The single downside was the long wait for food. We were warned it would be 25 minutes. When, nearly 55 after ordering, I asked how much longer I was informed very politely and with genuine apology that it was just being plated up. A cinnamon bun was produced to compensate; these were baked by one of the owners. The bun was the best by far I have ever tasted. We left a tip notwithstanding the wait. The owners are the victims of their own success in attracting custom. There was a long queue when we left. They deserve much credit but need to reduce the order-placing to food delivery time. That apart, our experience would have merited 5 stars.

I've never written a review on TripAdvisor before but, as a former customer, I thought it should be highlighted that Warner bullies his staff, fails to pay them tips, and fires them with no notice. Shameful that a vegan business can be so unethical. I have decided not to return since discovering this.

I’m discerning about coffee and can vouch that it was excellent coffee here. Hearty and very tasty vegan brunch - corn fitters with sweet chilli. Great place.

(Writing this for a 3rd time as owner keeps reporting my review to have it removed) Passive aggressive and intimidating owner, who is unprepared to explain why he could not provide takeaway coffee and making up that I shouted at someone and calling me a liar (as well as abusing myself and wife over social media) isn’t the way to go. Waitresses are excellent and happy to help but let down by the male owners ability to accept constructive criticism. In these times it’s sad to see as we have always supported this cafe throughout the pandemic.

I popped by for a coffee which was top. I love their sun trap pavement seating to watch the world go by from. The team were really helpful and the owner welcoming and had great energy!

The most amazing brunch and coffee I've ever had in London , got talking to the two owners , both were such beautiful people that are clearly passionate about what they do, Can't wait to return and try everything!

I have read a lot of reviews about this place and they all seem to say the same thing. the place is a must eat and the staff are wonderful! They all true , the food is pure and made with love from a single chef / owner. She works 7 days a week to make sure this cafe is what it is food wise , I got talking to her about the flavours and as a chef myself you can tell that this is her passion. We sat down and order, the place was buzzing and really busy. We waited about 25-30 mins for our amazing brunch and everything was wonderful and full of flavour! The price was super cheap for what it is , I know hands down we will return again and again. Again I have read a lot of the reviews and the negative ones are definitely misleading, This place is a gem and is not to be missed!

Really conflicted about writing this review. I’ve previously been very impressed going to Blank last year: they had amazing pancakes and toasties. Unfortunately, on this trip I waited over 30 minutes for the pancakes which, when they arrived, were pretty dry and a far cry from how good they used to be. I checked pictures of my last visit in 2021, and the photos of the same order illustrate this: first photo is from my recent trip, second photo is October 2021. Service has generally always been slow when I’ve eaten there, but I justified this previously as the price of entry for enjoying such a variety of tasty vegan dishes. Will probably roll the dice again, but a disappointing experience overall.

Male owner/manager was rude when we enquired where our coffees were after waiting for half an hour and seeing other people getting their coffees. The coffees were taken off the bill because of this but the way we were spoken to wasn’t polite in the slightest. The other staff were lovely and made a conscious effort to apologise. The food that came was lovely but one dish was forgotten and had to ask for it to be taken off the bill.

The best pancakes that I have had in a long time! My husband thoroughly enjoyed the mushrooms on toast even though he is not vegan or vegetarian. The staff were friendly and the food is very good value for money. I would definitely recommend coming here.

We live locally but hadn’t had a chance to check blank out due to lockdown. The food was some of the best brunch we have ever eaten (and we eat too much brunch). The service was prompt and efficient, and the price very reasonable. As a vegetarian I would 100% recommend as the variety on offer was phenomenal. Will definitely be returning.
