Awful and expensive! I massively regret this life decision on missing the 33 bus! I’m £11 worse off for 2 drinks that weren’t even average, have to order on a screen and the staff preparing the drinks are devoid of curtesy or any emotion. Over £5 for an iced tea, order large for what is a regular in any other coffee shop. You’ll also have to guess it’s your order that’s ready as despite being given a number by the order screen the staff will just dump it on the counter and say absolutely nothing !

You must use the touch screens to place an order but these were very dirty and the one I used was also unresponsive and hence slow and frustrating to use. I felt so sorry for the single server who did their best but it took 15mins for me to order and get my smoothie which was slightly lukewarm and cost over £6. Very disappointing experience.

Convenient for us because is located in front of our hotel. Having breakfast early in the morning, a cup of tea and pastel de nada, famous and greedy portoguese pasty. Nothing special (of course, we are in Reading not in Lisbon), but i hoped for something better anyway. Cleanliness left something to be desired, but prices of High Street.

Very expensive 3.19 for a small coffee thot was completly burnt and tasted awful! Lots of dirty empty tables and THREE staff behind the counter just gossiping about there friends. Didn’t greet any customers or even thank them as they left, a little customer services goes a long way when charging THAT kind of price for coffee.

Popped in on an impulse to buy a flat white. My eyes nearly popped out when they said it'd be £4.09 FOR A SMALL flat white. Don't get me wrong it was a nice coffee but given the price I'd be disappointed if it wasn't

Awful across the board, paid £8 for the saddest looking smoothie bowl that took 25 minutes to make. Looked nothing like what was advertised. Staff looked untrained. Do not waste your time or money here. The owner should be ashamed

Excellent service and fantastic coffee!( also the double caffeine coffee is so strong so beware!) the staff are so kind and considerate and as someone who works in a similar industry i deeply appreciate how genuine the staff are ❤️❤️

Online e-commerce meets coffee shop. I've come to a coffee shop not an e-commerce site. Menu navigation appears to have not been near a human - who adds +1 coffee to a selection all ready made? How do I then navigate back to add +1 pain au raisin to my assumed 0? This was an experiment in somewhere new and won't be repeated.

First time I visited, the Americano wasn’t very hot with the milk added. So next time I had it black, and it’s good coffee. This chain’s similar in style to the likes of Costa and Starbucks–and they call your name when the coffee’s ready, as in Starbucks. But those chains get the temperature of the coffee right. The lovely European staff were fresh and enthusiastic. That’s why I went back. It’s a friendly, comfortable place to get a caffeine fix. This time I also had a pain au raisin but found it a bit flimsy. It’s hard to compete on that front with Costa, who sell M&S pastries. If I want a cake with my coffee, I guess it’s still going to be Costa all the way.

Yuck. Directed to a touchscreen to order. Those things are very unhygienic. I couldn't find a way to order what I wanted so I left. Decaf americano with hot milk on the side. It would be so much easier just to ask someone than try and navigate a dirty, confusing touchscreen.

A medium cappuccino and decaf latte with almond croissant cost almost £11. Both coffees were lukewarm, there was no gluten free pastries, no serviettes and the touch screen ordering was slow and confusing. Won't return.

We had a couple non coffee based lattes here and will never return. The drinks were nothing to write home about, and they were very expensive for the size. We got small and they are not kidding… they were tiny… But almost 7.00 pounds for the both feels like highway robbery to us.

The coffee is great! This was our second time coming here and all the things we tried were great from sanwiches to waffles to mini doughnuts. Great addition to the coffee shops of Reading.

They have stopped taking card now, one of the workers told me it's because they don't want to pay too much tax

The staff was friendly when checking in but the room was nasty, there was spiders scattered around everywhere and behind the bathroom door was a rock hard flannel🤢 I came back in one of the nights and noticed there was a leak from the ceiling ready to burst. using the towels and sleeping in the bed left me with a horrid rash, this place is not hygienic at all!!!!

Pierre's is a sandwich bar, really, rather than a cafe as such. Great selection of sandwiches, wraps, baguettes, and baked potatoes listed on the boards, and they cook their own baguettes in an oven right in front of you. However, as I said, it's not really a cafe. I stare up at the boards. I'm in the mood for a baked potato - with chilli, preferably. That's not on the menu, but I spot three Christmas specials pasted up onto the baked potato list. Turkey, stuffing and ham etc. So, I enquire if they are fills for baked potatoes. "Well, you can have anything you want in a baked potato", says the young lady behind the counter. "You can choose from anything on the menu and we can put it in a potato, but it might cost a bit extra." She's late twenties, dyed blonde hair, heavy makeup, and a strongish eastern European accent. She's trying to be helpful, I know. But I'm lazy. I don't want to have to design my lunch from scratch, though I know a lot of people do and it's what sandwich bars pride themselves for. I'm also slightly confused what the Christmas specials might look like (a mini dinner?, a sandwich filling?). So, not wanting to create a fuss, I panic and go for the lowest common denominator: a bacon baguette, packet of crisps and an orange juice – to eat in. It's nice enough, but maybe a bit steep at £6.50. I finish it quickly, not because it's particularly tasty but because the door's wide open, it's mid-December, and I've got my coat and scarf on. And the ambience is business-like rather than relaxing and inviting. A gentle stream of new customers enter and order, and some sit down to eat, like me. Behind the counter, apart from the blonde young lady there are two big blokes, also in their twenties. They're wearing aprons so must be serving staff, but they just seem to be hanging around not doing much. They all give the air of being temporary staff and that sandwich-making is not the first love of their lives. Cheerful enough, but not wonderfully friendly. I get up to leave. On my way out I call "Thanks", trying to catch someone's eye, hoping someone might smile back at me. I'm invisible. Nobody seems the least interested. I might be back for a sandwich some day. Not sure I'll be back for a sit-down. But then, it is really just a sandwich bar rather than a cafe, after all.

Dry, bland food, located in a tiny corner unit of Kings walk, dreadful business idea...never ever going to work.
