Me encanta Black Rabbit. Está cerca de Tollcross y los prados en Edimburgo. Tienen algunos asientos, pero es principalmente para llevar. Nos encanta cuando hacen sus tés de la tarde y eso es lo que recogimos hoy. £ 40 por 2 y normalmente nos sobran. Una fantástica selección de golosinas saladas y dulces. Destacan su propio relleno a base de tofu “nae egg” para bocadillos y el postre de tarta de queso en capas. Los propietarios son encantadores y es un lugar esencial para visitar, especialmente si aprecias la comida vegana.

Omg the all day breakfast is incredible. There were loads of options, all vegan. I would happily have had any of them. Service was great and reasonably priced.

Delicious food, fantastic service, great choice and pastries to write home about. Absolutely loved my trip to the Black Rabbit. I had a bagel with ‘cream cheese’ and ‘smoked salmon’ and all the delicious trimmings like capers and dill, and a tasty side salad. I so enjoyed it. I’ve never tasted vegan smoked salmon before and I can’t wait to taste it again. My mum (who isn’t vegan) had the hungry rabbit sandwich. Unfortunately the mushrooms were marinaded in something smoky and my mum hates smoked anything but I absolutely loved the sandwich (creamy ‘goats cheese’ and sweet peppers!) and had the bonus of eating some extra mushrooms 😁 Afterwards we had a cinnamon bun to share (they’re huge and amazing!) and some hot drinks. I can’t wait to go back with my husband and kids and anyone else I can find. Well worth a visit!

Visited here shortly after arriving in Edinburgh and it didn't disappoint! It was important for me to support small independent vegan places and the food was just gorgeous.

This excellent, tiny cafe and takeaway says. “everything is vegan” and it has the best range I’ve seen of savoury and sweet vegan baked goods.

This little vegan cafe is a great place for breakfast, lunch or a coffee/pastry. It was hard to make a selection for lunch but ultimately decided on the BLT. The bread was super fresh and the v-bacon is fresh made and delicious! My wife had the (no)eggs Benedict and was savory and delicious. I ordered a coffee and was going to have it with a cinnamon roll but was just too full so they packaged it up to take away. We are staying at a hotel near Waverley Station and it was an easy and fun 25 min to walk.

Amazing vegan savoury and sweet food, highly recommended for takeaway or sit in. Everything I’ve ever had here has been amazing.

This is a piece of paradise! I got overly excited and ordered almost every type of pastry and a sausage roll to go. Every single thing was delicious - an absolute must!

This is one of my favourite places to eat in Edinburgh. My partner and I often take away from here if we've been in the city for the morning. The food is incredible--and all vegan--and the couple that run it are always friendly. I'm obsessed with everything they make but especially their banh mi, green rabbit sandwich, nae egg and sausage rolls, and all of their cakes. You literally can't go wrong!

As a family of four we each had a baguette/bagel, a cake and a drink. Everything was amazing and freshly prepared as we waited. The menu choice was varied and pleasantly different from a lot of other places we have tried. My husband, who was the only non-vegan, was highly delighted with his banh mi baguette and cinnamon roll. The chocolate cake was the best we have ever eaten. Highly recommended.

Probably not the best title for a vegan takeaway cafe but it really just was. I was lucky to be there for Halloween and got to taste some spooky cake, a sauzage roll and yes on top of that a black croissant (who wouldn't..) The food is lovingly prepared and you can tell the owners heart and passion go into this little gem. To bad I didn't stay long enough to also try their award winning "egg" roll sandwich but I will come back for it, cos it's always worth a visit! With an empty stomach, so you can eat EVERYTHING :)

I have tried this place a few times over the past few months, and the standard of the food was absolutely incredible. I shall focus on the meal which made most of an impact; a bagel with Vegan "salmon and cream cheese" along with sliced cucumber and capers. The quality of the imitation salmon was incredible, and the Vegan "cream cheese" was to die for; it didn't have a yucky taste like some vegan imitation foods. I also have tried cruffins, and a charcoal crossiant which had some kind of caramel type stuff inside it which absolutely blew me away. I cannot speak highly enough of this place. It's an absolute asset to Veganism.

We walked across Edinburgh to have lunch here; there’s no seating inside but several nearby outdoor seating options. We ordered 2x Benedict baguettes, Vegan Haggis toastie, a Banh Mi baguette, a Blueberry and Custard Cronut/Cruffin and a couple of Cinnamon Bins. All were freshly made and really tasty. We were absolutely stuffed with the savoury so kept the desserts for later, all good. We didn’t like the fake-sausage slice in the Benedict’s; it was weird texture and very salty - we reckon a couple of lettuce leaves would be a better option.

Absolutely insane. Flat-out incredible vegan deli food. We only planned on visiting once but it was so good that we went every day after that. The egg was eggy, the salmon fishy, and the meat was uber meaty. Brilliant at pairing flavours and textures too in their bagels and baguettes. As delicious and satisfying as it gets. They also sell a whole host of incredible vegans meats and cheeses for home as well. Just immensely jealous they aren't located in my home city.

I was impressed that all the food and drink options were for vegans. Not easy to do these days! My coffee was great as was the food for lunch. There are also vegan friendly gifts to buy. Friendly staff too. Parking isn’t easy in this area … so best to come on foot.

Absolutely fantastic vegan takeaway. We have been back multiple times after finding out about this on the Vegan Edinburgh Facebook group and also the HappyCow app. Their toasties are absolutely divine, and they always have a wonderful selection of tasty-looking pastries and cakes. They also have a great selection of vegan cheeses and sweets/chocolate. They also do fantastic coffees with plant-based milk.

I recommend the biscoff latte, cheese muffin, and cinnamon cake. We are always searching for decent vegan eateries across the UK and it is difficult to find not just acceptable but GOOD vegan food when exploring different cities. Well, Black Rabbit was a treat. Negatives were the limited opening hours and being closed on Mondays, the annoying location, and being a takeaway-only establishment. Should try and branch into a dining-in cafe in future.

The best vegan sandwiches, pastries and cakes in town. We had a BLT, bakon and sham toastie, cheese cruffin, chai lattes, chai latte cake and a brownie. All fantastic. If it's one thing vegan/plant-based foods seem to struggle with is cheese, but what this place uses is so nice! We ate in the churchyard across the way, which had a sign to say people can enjoy their lunch there. Highly recommend this place, it's a shame that the opening times didn't coincide with our departure from Edinburgh, otherwise we would have called in for breakfast as well.
