Bits 'n' Bobs Tea Room in Maldon

Can never fault them. Always friendly and always consistent with their food. And I've tried a handful of different things from their menu. If you haven't tried their new menu, you have to try their smoothies. Their mango smoothie tastes like summer and is my new addiction.I often get their stuff to take away and am never disappointed

Today we visited Bits n Bob's. Opened for their first Saturday of the season with new Christmas menu. We all had fantastic food in this lovely friendly Tea Shop newly decorated for Christmas. I had a fantastic and generous turkey, stuffing, pigs in blanket and cranberry baguette with crisps, salad and home made coleslaw. Great value. Thank you 🙂

Really nice cafe, very friendly people and the food was excellent, clean tidy, excellent service, made to feel very welcome. To top it all was given a lift back to my motorhome in Steeple, I couldn’t get a taxi and the bus was 1hr 30mins away. Couldn’t recommend this little place more, I would definitely visit again.

Wasn’t impressed didn’t even offer a proper breakfast. Good if you want to have a cake and some tea but if you want to go for a breakfast go elsewhere.

Wow ordered a cream tea as a cheer up treat for my daughter wonderful service, staff very helpful and friendly. Tea arrived at my daughters on time and little notification saying it had been delivered only for my daughter to call as well saying what a lovely box of treats. Plenty of variety and cake selection with little extras included. Thank you so much will defiantly be using again just a shame we live to far away for a delivery. One very happy daughter

Our Daughter had arranged the home delivery of an afternoon tea which was delivered today. All we can say is WOW! What an absolute delight, my Husband was thrilled! It was a very welcome surprise in these dire times. The presentation was beautiful and the contents delightful, we've been grazing since midday! Cup cakes,scones,sandwiches,biscuits, chocolate strawberries ,marshmallows and Earl Grey tea, all of it was gorgeous. Thank you to everyone involved and to our Daughter for arranging it, we would definitely recommend this to anyone with a special occasion. The only downside is that we should have been in Barbados celebrating on a cruise! 😂

Excellent afternoon tea, good variety of sandwiches, mini savoury’s, scones,cream and jam, delicious cakes to finish it of with. Love the little touches, serviettes, chocolate strawberries and mini chocolates. Staff very friendly and helpful,. They also have a delivery service. Well to a excellent team.

Due to the current situation with the Coronavirus I couldn’t go for afternoon tea with my daughter. She arranged for Bits and Bobs in Southminster to deliver my afternoon tea to my house. It was delicious and all fresh and very well presented. Sandwiches, mini quiches cheese scone followed by fruit scone with jam and cream and two pieces of cake. My husband and I shared the feast throughout the day. Excellent friendly service, delicious and fresh food. Will definitely be visiting the tearoom once the isolation period is over and things get back to normal. Can’t rate them highly enough Thank you

Great small tea room with a full menu and lots of choices for most lunch and afternoon occasions. Good sense of humour exihited by the staff. Good warm drinks served in generous cups

We recently popped in for Lunch, we had Jacket Potatoe, followed by a huge piece of homemade cake. Delicious and served with a smile. We will be back 😁

I organised a baby shower at bits and bobs tea room today and it was so good I had to write a review straight away!! The afternoon tea is so filling all 20 of us ending up taking cake boxes home! Sue and her staff were so helpful and hospitable, especially Sue! It's just a lovely place run by lovely people and I would 100% recommend anyone to have an event here or just go to in general!

Met friends for lunch, first visit and found it to be a lovely friendly place and good food. Would definitely return.

Best little cafe for miles around! Great coffee, amazing cakes and the staff are the best ever!! Nothing is too much trouble and they care about their customers too! Just love it here.

The service was impeccable, the coffee was good and the cakes looked amazing. We had the lemon drizzle cake with clotted cream and took a cupcake home with us. I will certainly be coming again to try the breakfasts!

Visited today for afternoon tea and it did not disappoint. To start with the tea has 3 courses, savoury to start, then scones, followed by a huge selection of cakes with strawberries dipped in chocolate. Everything was freshly cooked and all tasted delicious. The staff here are fantastic and the tea is incredible value for money. I would highly, highly recommend the Afternoon Tea here.

A lovely family run tea rooms, all the food is freshly made good size portions, All the cakes are homemade and delicious, and the portions huge, if you can't finish they are more than happy to box it up to take home. Looking forward to my next visit.

We have been for lunch at Bit's and Bob's tea rooms. They say the best things come in small packages and this certainly does. It is a small tea room but has great food,good service with a smile,and lovely cakes. And highly recommend it.

Have made a few visits here and they deserve to succeed

I went with my sister last week I had a ham and colslaw baguette my sister had hit chocolate and a lovely piece of cake when my baguette arrived I was very disappointed as it was mostly colslaw the ham was so thin and did not taste like ham as there was so much colslaw and for £5.50 I did not think it was value for money my sister said her cake and drink was excellent and she highly recommended it

I have recently moved to Burnham-on-Crouch and discovered this little Tea Rooms by accident. I have to say this was our third visit this year...

This tea room is a great addition to the high Street in Southminster

Popped in for a tea & coffee with friend ended up staying nearly 3 hours having lunch & more drinks. Great atmosphere lovely staff & good food. Maybe soundproof toilet bit more, can hear conversations from outside so wonder what outside can hear! A nice place to go for a chat & drinks/food.

Visited this week and had lovely lunch. Cakes are gorgeous. Very nice, pretty surroundings, friendly service, value for money, highly recommend, nice addition to Southminster High Street.

Lovely new tea room in Southminster. Visited with a friend recently. Excellent freshly prepared food. Friendly waitresses. Amazing homemade cakes and biscuits. Very good value for money. Bright, clean and welcoming would definitely recommend x. High chairs available and children very well catered for.
