I go there almost every week to have the Zafrani Chicken Biryani. I can describe my feelings by typing one word: heavenly! Chicken is perfectly cooked, juicy and tender, extra-long basmati rice and the fragrance of all the spices makes it so delicious that I can't stop eating. Friendly staffs and clean sitting area for dine in. I'll highly recommend who wants to taste authentic Biryani.

I try Zafrani Chicken Biryani every week. It's delicious. Friendly staffs and well decorated dine in place make it an excellent experience.

Despite this place having the word "Biryani" in the name, this is by far the worst Biryani I have ever had. It tasted like they put bleach inside it or cooked it inside a pot filled with dish soap. The only time in my life where I have not finished a plate of Biryani.

The shop is in a good location. There are enough sitting spaces in the store. I got no clue about the parking but no wheelchair accessibility available for the customers. Customer service is not top notch but preferable for the location. The food quality is not so bad based on the price. Quantity is nice and they need to improve the taste of the biryani and the sauce they give with biryani. The decoration is also impressive. The one and only problem is their payment system. They always prefer cash only. A very less people carry cash nowadays and there is no cash machine nearby. It makes a bit uncomfortable for the customer during payment. I wish to give them 5 ⭐ but considering these issues I can’t. I hope they will improve the service and more importantly the payment system. Hope for the best.

Food is our Rizaq,we sometimes moan about 'not enough loon mirch" or ' seekh kebabs too dry"....but forget there are millions without even the 'loon' never mind anything to put it on. Anyhow I visited today with my family.Food,service,prices,everything excellent.How do they do that portion of Chicken Biriyani for £3.99?? Tea £1.Excellent value for money.

Worst service ever, I have places a order over phone asked me to come after 30 mts which I did after reaching the place and they asked me to wait for 20 mts which I did and I asked me to wait other 20 mts again and the staff is not even apologetic for the delay Overall the service was very bad Food not that great Not worth of waiting for 70 mts for biryani definitely will not recommend it try other places.

It's a small place I recommend only takeaway because there is no washroom and they accept only cash payment. By the price of food, it's ok

I’ve visited Biryani wala yesterday, I’ve ordered many times from online but yesterday for the first time I went with my friend around 10pm, the ladies were very rude and arrogant and told dine-in was closed at 9:30 PM, then we said ok and ordered for the take away. With in 5 min 4 Guys came and ordered the same, I donno why she allowed the guys for the dine-in, we didn’t even left from the restaurant and they were ordering. I felt very bad and was about to argue , but I don’t want to make an issue infront of the customers and left silently. Such a behaviour is not at all acceptable, I want the manager to check the recordings and just ask the girls why she didn’t allowed us to dine-in.

Yesterday I dined at Biryaniwala Evington Road branch Restaurant and had a mixed experience. The food was undeniably good, offering a delightful blend of flavors that truly satisfied my taste buds. Additionally, the service was commendable. The girls serving me did so with a warm and friendly smile, enhancing the overall dining experience. However, my enjoyment was somewhat marred by an incident during lunch. I heard a man from the kitchen talking loudly and screaming at the girls who were serving. This was quite disruptive and detracted from the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. While the quality of the food and the kindness of the waitstaff were highlights, the loud and aggressive behaviour from the kitchen staff needs to be addressed to ensure a fully enjoyable experience for all patrons.

Worst biryani The quality of food is degrading day by day ,Previously, some months back the food was excellent, especially the Biriyani was very good. But now The taste of biryani Is really worst Chicken is Overcooked, you can see this in the picture It really feels very cheap food, Staff are also Very unkind And they are not really happy to serve customers. The curd Raita given with this Is nothing but water Qualities is really going down I don’t know what happened. Maybe cheff got changed. I suggest Owners to keep an eye on improving quality And staff needs to be changed immediately Not at all recommendable It’s all oily And not possible to eat Don’t waste your time on money here

I bought one veg and one paneer Biryani's where both were not cooked properly I could see more water content in those Biryani's, and I have said the staff not to add masala because I was about to feed it to my kid, even though they have added more masala content into biryani it happend more time to me but I was ignoring those times because it was cooked properly, and coming to the services I was standing with my kid near the till to make the payment even though the front staff was not even bothered and was busy in phone call. This is the worst experience. I don't recommend Biryaniwala evington rd anymore.

Ordered through deliveroo, not only did the driver complain that he had to drive 4.2 miles to get to us. But 1 out of the 6 dishes were edible. The other 5 were beyond spicy (and I'm someone who can handle spice and adds chilli sauce to everything). I took one bite and I was sweating within seconds.. imagine we had a child with us sharing our food. Had you have given the option to CHOOSE YOUR SPICE LEVELS this wouldn't have happened! I've rang the Evington Road branch and I've been told mubaraq who is the manager was away eating iftaar and he would call me within half an hour. Second call was made an hour later and I was told he can't be contacted and they're trying get in touch with him.. third call.... they've just declined my call. All I've asked for is a refund for the 5 dishes and they're more than welcome to pick the food up because it hasn't been eaten. I've just essentially paid £40 for 1 biryani. Money definitely doesn't grow on trees and this is robbery. The restaurant closes in 40 minutes and still no phone call has been made from mubaraq, great business owner /manager /what ever he calls himself. Whoever was managing the phonelines at the Evington Road branch you need to be sacked or at least retrained. You did not let me explain what was going on, tried to be intimidating, tried raising your voice at me and it won't shift. Your customer service skills, on a scale of 1-10? -10.. Il be making a trip down to the restaurant tomorrow with my food considering no one has taken the time nor care to contact me back, offer replacement and il be speaking to mubarak face to face. You can't own a business and hide from your customers when you make a mistake. Ridiculous. Update:- 20 minutes before they close mubarak rings me on WhatsApp.. confirms thats how they cook food in a certain part of India but then giggles when I've made a statement that I've just paid £40 for a biryani.. he's agreed to a refund which I've been told will take a week to process. Surely not if you've asked for my account number and sort code but if you need a week then fine. He refused to take the food back and also agreed this food is too spicy for children to eat. He then gave me some advice that on my next order to any restaurant that we leave motes on how spicy we would like the food. I also gave mubraka some advice advising how they need to be options on their menu on how spicy customers would like their food. So far so good, mubrak has agreed to the refund and I've agreed to pay for the one thing we did manage to eat. Let's see if this refund comes through Update 17-04-2024 So after being told to wait 7 days, still no refund. This place is beyond a joke. Daylight robbery. Mubarak has also confirmed he is NOT the manager and now my complaint has been put forwarded to his boss. I have 0 faith that this has moved forward, considering he thought screenshotting my review and sending it to me would affect me and get me to delete this review.. not a chance. As I said to mubarak, reviews are for people to tell the truth about an establishment and their experience and I'm telling mine. Update may 2024. As expected they've brushed it under the carpet and no response from anyone..I've lost energy to chase these people. I would not recommend going here at all..

Food: My expectations were high from a biryani specialist but unfortunately flavours weren't coming through, lamb meat was overcooked, tough to eat and a little dry. Service: We were not greeted with a warm welcome, staff didn't look happy to deal with us. Atmosphere: There were two other diners in the seating area, both looked very unhappy. Sadly this this outlet did not deliver on any accounts. There are many food places on Evington Rd, if the basics such as service can't be improved upon then diners will go elsewhere, especially if the food doesn't meet expectations. I try to find some positives though, the shop looked clean and the layout was well presented. I do try places at least twice in case the above experience is a one off, but we will see. First time leaving an honest review because I think they really deserve a lovely review for such amazing service! I mean the recent 5 star reviews with one review history speaks volumes. Seems like they are trying to do damage control by trying to bump up the reviews but if you read through, everyone is repeatedly saying the same thing. Here’s my 2 pence. The service was absolutely appalling! The lady behind the till looks like she is forced to be there and no efforts to make an interaction. The food was filled with a thousand cardamoms, mustard and what not so the food was literally inedible. Everyone has their own cooking style and taste but you’re having a laugh if you thought you will eat a Hyderabadi style biryani. I think they should start focussing on improving their customer service and the quality of the food rather than creating fake accounts to leave 5 star reviews. It would be cool to have a good biryani place in Leicester. This place has potential and surprisingly, there are some customers who like their food! They should at least try to improve and take the constructive criticism for the sake of their business. Anyways, I won’t be coming again after that experience thank you very much!

We always pass this shop and have wanted to try it. So last week we ordered one chicken biryani and tried it. It was really tasty and the portion was good. The lady and man in the counter were both very pleasent. I would definetly recommend this restaurant.

I tried chicken biryani, but it was too cold. It didn’t taste or look like a fresh biryani very disappointed and the review is which a customer should taste and write about it, but this is different here. I’m shocked that the staff force you to give them five star, but I don’t think all the five star reviews in the review section are genuine. It’s better to try Briyani in melton road branch the food and staff are good over there.

Situated in the heart of Evington Road, Biryaniwala has gained popularity among the locals. As I was there for approximately 20-25 mins but I have seen a good flow of customers coming to shop which speak itself for its local recognition. As name says, biryaniwala, so 1st thing I want to try was biryani, so I ordered a chicken biryani from here, and I was amazed taste was delicious and price compared to all is way more cheaper. As I was waiting I noticed 1 thing that, they were asking each customer that how they want their biryani, spicy, medium or non spicy but he was giving it from the same container which I was wondering how, that is mystery which I will solve soon when they will be not much busy (will keep you posted). I also tried their drumsticks again very good taste, I am not 100% sure but I found that it was mix of fresh of the day and of previous day cannot be 100% accurate in that but that's what I feel like. Lollipops were good taste, gulaab jamun were mouth watering. Overall, except for drumsticks, everything was up to the par. Service is very prompt as everything is pre-cooked, so filling container and catering is on fast gear here. Ambience, I don't find it very attractive it is average, and a very small sitting area consists of only 3 tables. Being fast food area, I will not expect much, but the menu served here requires ample space as these foods are always enjoyed directly from the pot rather than taking home and heating it. My overall experience at biryaniwala was not bad. the taste of food will take me to this place again and again. The most important thing is that this place is "CASH ONLY," so keep cash if you wanna order something from the place.

Lamb biryani tasted and smelled stale. Couldn't eat it at all. Wouldn't order again. Disappointing first time order. Wouldn't be ordering again.
