I work over the road from here & went here for lunch. I had the samosa chat which was nice & tasty. Staff are friendly & helpful & explain what items are on the menu if you don't know what they are. It's vegetarian & cheap food too.

We went to this unassuming little gem of a place. The ladies/owners are just so wonderful and hospitable. Now, the food....what can I say..it was piping hot, tasty and authentic. Just how we like it. We had chicken curry, daal, salad, roti and of course chicken biryani and hot Indian tea. What a fantastic lunch. Really enjoyed the whole experience. A limited menu means that this restaurant will always dish out fresh tasting food. Well worth the money. Definitely coming back again. Thank you.

I initially visited the Biryani Centre, Leicester for a working lunch on the advice of a colleague and have returned on a couple of occasions. The menu is simple with just a few dishes to choose from. I've gone for the Veggie Biryani which is freshly prepared and the Veggie samosas and friends have tried the chicken. The food is always served nice and hot and is very tasty. The owner and staff are very friendly, service is great and the establishment always spotlessly clean. There are a few tables to eat-in and takeaway is also available. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Leicester city centre as the Biryani Centre is well located just across the road from the railway station and about a 10 minute walk from the Clock Tower.

I went here in a rush before catching a train looking for something for lunch that was more than a sandwich. The staff were really good at finding out which of their options are vegan and for adapting everything for me!

Had a quick takeaway. Very tasty chicken biryani. Chicken was soft and well cooked. The rotis were very soft. Friendly staff, enjoyed the biryani more than many expensive restaurants. Good value for food.

I came up for a friend's birthday party, after checking into the hotel, I realised how hungry I was, I saw this place on the drive in and I love a curry, so I made a bee line for it and wasn't disappointed. Friendly staff and customers who were more than happy to share suggestions, lovely well prepared food, excellent and set me up for the party.

This doesn't look the most inviting of places but the food was delicious and certainly plentiful. If you want to tick off 'curry in Leicester' this is a very good option. No frills but tasty and cheap!

Stopped in here for a snack and was delighted by how tasty a simple vegetable biryani was, and how much you got. If you are on a budget this is a definite place for a fulsome meal while visiting Leicester. A cup of coffee just £1 too! Very basic, biryani was served in a foil tub but for £4.50 I had more than I could eat and a nice cup of coffee too.

Been going here for 30 years and was gutted when Mr Kadir said he was finishing. So glad that the new owners have kept the food the same and especially the chicken samosas as these are the best in Leicester and cannot be beaten.

My daughter and i went today i had beef brisket curry and my daughter the king prawn noodle soup. They were delicious. But then i paid with cash so didnt know i was being charged extra for service charge. This was not pointed out to me. I was not given the choice which made me really annoyed and upset. This has upset me so much that it has put me off going here again. I was going to arrange a load of us going here again.

Nice Indian restaurant on Granby Street, Leicester, with prices for authentic Indian food very reasonable. Near the railway station and opposite the Barley Mow. Staff very helpful & polite.
