The queue was too big when I visited a few years back so I never tried it but I'm sure the food was mega!

Highly recommend for a cheeky night out with the silly lads

Service was painfully slow. Food was sat going cold while server worked her way through our order slowly. She then forgot the curry sauce. Food was ok but cold.

Abysmal service. Undue waiting time.

The chips can be dry in places but over all, nice, brown and crisp. The savaloys were great, spicy without too much spice not filled with rusk to supplement the meat content. My partner had a chicken kebab and in his words, "really rather good". We'd go again.

Not a bad chippy at all. Forget all the previous hype, at the end of the day it's a chip shop. Just typical of chippies that you have to wait for the chips sometimes, but they are worth the wait. The batter on the fish and sausages is amazing, and you are always greeted as you walk in, although friendly face policy should be shown by every staff member. All in all not a bad place to visit.

Honestly It was a fun trend and I went here before and it was really fun and we got chips my dad said it was mid I thought it was kinda mid to but when the trend was happening it was Fantastic I felt like I was apart of history even though it was a chip shop🤣 and everyone was singing it and news people were there to Soo 5 STARS🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Made me stand and waited for my paid meal for more half an hour whilst serving other customers that came after me, the worst part is they did with no apologies. I will never patronise this business ever again.

The food here is really great. I bought the iconic morbius meal for only £4, what a bargain! Only thing I would have to say is how the owner kept trying to lick my 6 year old sons feet but other than that I love him to bits. Great quality service and food, they even gave me a compliment and toenail as a garnish! Lovely place through and through

1st time of going to this place today, I ordered my fish and chips and chicken kebab and even though service was slow and I waited in the corner while customers come and went. Food was fresh though that's a plus point. I am not used to hanging around. I would come back when it's a little bit quieter even though there was only 4 people in the shop.

Outrageous!! I just called to ask if opened at 4:30 as seen on the website, i was rudely spoken to and told “ i know where you live and im going to eat you”. Would rate no star if possible but the feature has not yet developed!!

Just phoned in to regards of the time of opening, safe to say they where quote on quote rude, they decided to threaten to eat me in conclusion telling me they know my adress, I spoke to them in a kind and correct manner, still coming later though

If I go an hour without binley mega chippy I shake with shear intensity and go into a frenzy. When I tuck into the delicate chips it feels like a wave of enjoyment has flooded me engulfing every part of my body however when my meal is eaten I turn into a nervous wreck and immediately turn to a life of depression

Chips were nice but kebab was cold and fried chicken really dry. Deffo not sure what the hype was about. It was ok but probs below standards, then nearly got charged twice for my food i had to ask what that was all about and they gave me some cash back. Charged me 17 pound for a mixed kebab and portion of chips. Wont rush back, sorry.

My visit to Binley Mega Chippy was a stomach-churning nightmare from start to finish. The moment I stepped foot into the establishment, I was assaulted by the putrid stench of rancid oil and stale grease, which lingered heavily in the air like a foul fog. The sight of grimy countertops and greasy floors only added to the revulsion, making me question the hygiene standards of this so-called "chippy." As if the nauseating ambiance wasn't bad enough, the food itself was a horror show. The fish and chips were soggy and dripping with oil, resembling something dredged from the depths of a sewer rather than a reputable "Famous" eatery. Even the supposedly crispy chips were limp and greasy, leaving a slick film of grease on my fingers with every bite. But the true horror came when my friends and I decided to have a bit of fun and throw some chips at the birds outside. Little did we know, three federal officers were lurking nearby, waiting to pounce on us like vultures. Before we knew it, we were hauled off in handcuffs and sentenced to life in prison for the heinous crime of disturbing the avian population with our greasy projectiles. In summary, Binley Mega Chippy is a grimy, repulsive establishment that serves up food fit only for the trash bin. And as for the heavy-handed federal officers who ruined our lives over a handful of chips? Well, let's just say they're not winning any awards for their sense of humor.

Saturday, 18.30 ish, not that busy. Chip's , I can’t put into words just how wrong they were. Larger haddock, my go to treat. Not from the mega chippy. Soggy batter, the fish that I found was dry and tasteless. NEVER AGAIN, what a waste of money.

Food is average, only the chips are good when they are busy. Everything else is mediocre. They've had their success, with the social media craze, now is time for the comedown. The hype has died down, and they are going downhill just like the way overpriced Prime drinks are now selling for almost £1. They hype is over. Would still buy chips from here but anything battered is rubbish, cheap quality. There are better chippies in Coventry. The best I had in the Midlands is mother hubbards in Erdington.

Won't be down Charlie's chippy anytime soon as the jolly good pickled browns glazed my mewed face. Cone of chips, bosh, tikka skewer, scoffed. Just genuinely gobsmacked by the sheer dedication to providing exceptional blends of true British-Indian cuisine. Sloppy cream curry sauce goes well with a night out with the wife Susan. Spent 8.5 hours vomiting and diarrhea and splitting headaches until 4:30 in the morning after trying their ‘Southern Fried Chicken’. They should probably be shut down.

I hear there could be a new drink you sell by some some fuy called ksi or logab paul or whatever their names are. That could be big seller! Sell it with you chips), don't coast on past glories. Bit tragic. Update: 24/1/23: hope you took my advice. That drink became HUGE! You must have made a fortune with it. A sinple thank you to me would be all the payment I need. Update 11/6/23: no thank you ever recieved. How rude. I gave you half a year just for a simple thanks, but no. AVOID. Update: 14/9/23. Still no thank you received. Maybe that huge money maker I let you know about way in advance of the trend wasn't enough? I'm a decent guy, so here is one more product you could sell to make it rich. Its called a "Stanley Cup" . They have been around for ages , but I sure they could be the next big thing due to ticktock most likely. Sell these cups with your meals. Make a fortune! . Hope you at least say thanks this time. Had jimmy savile serve me , was quite polite but he did ask me to batter his sausage as he said he didnt know how to do it. Overall 4 out of 5 as jimmys special sauce made up for it

Not such a great taste of fish& chips. Below average on taste and portion compared to the rest of Coventry fish bars. Large cod plus regular chips for £10. The fish fillets got struck with the paper and stayed to throw as trash. Chips are not brilliant as I have ever tasted till now across Coventry. Better try other places.

Very good chips . Quite a large selection of kebabs and burgers and chicken. Nothing greasy . It can get very busy

AVOID. Absolute garbage, service is so slow, absolutely appalling, the food just sits there going cold even before they’ve served it. Takes two staff to prepare a doner kebab, one to cut lettuce and another to add the meat. If I could I’d give this place ZERO STARS. Staff are all brain dead, zero idea how to run a once successful business. Use the Marina or Hipswell Highway instead.

Quite possibly the worst cod I've eaten - never again. Chips were subpar. Partner ordered a mixed meat platter, had a try, and there's something artificially dodgy about the taste of the donor - nope.

i bribed the staff to make me a morbius meal. It took 45 minutes of convincing and there were so many twists and turns throughout this brawl-type ordeal. The staff were so concerned for my wellbeing they even discounted my meal by 30%! I will be making a grand return in the near future, and I best get my morbius meal.......

Easily the best chippy in Coventry and probably the midlands. People comes from far away to eat here, I am always stopping if I happen to be in the area. Over the years it stayed close to traditional cooking using quality ingredients. Not overly priced either.

I went there as my teenagers said it was a pop culture hit 12 months ago, so I wasn't expecting much. It was actually quite a good fish and chips. The fish was excellent and the chips plentiful.

I freaking love the Bibles Mega Chippy. You can eat chips, eat fish and even wait in line. Your meal can be accompanied by a cheap bottle of vinegar to wash it all down. However I went there once and there were children obsessed with clocks? They kept mentioning “Tick tock”. Weird, but good food regardless.

It was nice however it was haram and service was perfect didn't even ask and straight away the lady told me it was haram, good experience but didn't enjoy the taste of the food.

Wish we knew before we drove 1h 45mins that they’re closed between 2 and 4:30pm! Got there just as they were closing and all we could get was chips and curry sauce :( Chips were just average to me.

Made a large order today during their lunch opening. Food was sorted really quickly and cooked fresh. Everything was exactly as we asked and the staff were very friendly

First time going to BMC, food was a pretty standard affair, service was as expected. Can’t complain, food hot and tasty, nothing to shout about however. Would recommend.
