Billy's Cafe in Tower Hamlets

Great food, lovely staff, good price! Cafe was very busy, many customers seemed local and everyone was welcomed by the staff.

AVOID!! Visited 12th jan 2024 for brunch while working in the area. Ordered an English breakfast, it came out far too quickly, it looked as though it had been cooked with a hair dryer it was so raw and cold, my colleagues breakfast was no better. The sausages had a whiff of off meat, which I unfortunately noticed too late as I’d already eaten most of it. Steer clear!!

One of my go to Breakfast is Billy's Turkish Breakfast.It is value for money and delicious. Billy does actually exist and provides excellant customer service with his Staff.

I asked for an extra tea bag as I like strong tea and they said they couldn't do that but I could buy two individual teas, which I did and there was too much water so the tea was very week

My partner and I were staying nearby and I was keen to take her to a proper authentic london cafe for breakfast and we were not disappointed in Billy’s. The staff are all so friendly and served up a cracking fry up with excellent coffee. The generous portions kept us going on a full day of shopping and touring around London. The place was also bustling with activity and the clientele were a fascinating mix of East end characters. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. There are also loads of healthy options on offer if you don’t fancy the traditional breakfast, and again - the coffee was first class! We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

Had a fantastic breakfast here, all freshly cooked and such good value. The coffee was also excellent. Its a small place but busy as it's so good. Staff very friendly.

This place was amazing! Only a few tables but fantastic choice for cooked breakfast. Had scrambled egg with beans on toast, enough for two people. Coffee was lovely and staff SO friendly. Highly recommend.

I have been going to see Billy and his father at the Cafe for years. The premises is located around the corner from The Post Office Sorting Office on Emma Street. To be known by name, as he does a lot of customers shows care and consideration. The Menu is Extensive but not prohibitive. Fifty Percent of the time, I opt for The Turkish Breakfast. All professional Standards are adhered to and The Quality of Food is Exceptional for a reasonable Price. It is definitely worth a visit.

We were staying at an hotel nearby and didn’t want a full breakfast so went in search of an alternative and this place was great. Clean and cheerful old fashioned cafe with no frills. We were especially happy to see them treat a lovely golden retriever to a sausage. It apparently turns up most days with the dog walker and begs for its treat through the take away window. So sweet

Perfect little London style cafe without the grease. The staff are genuine and always so friendly! You can really tell they care forbthe good they prepare! Any opportunitie I get, I visit these guys!

Visited the UK from Australia and wanted a traditional english fry up... could not go past a good old greasy spoon and Billy’s Cafe is 100% the best!!! Friendly staff, great prices, quick service and amazing food! 🥐🥓🥞🍳 If you want to feel like a member of the family and try a real English fry up add Billy’s to your must do list!!

Was in the area with a couple of friends to see the nearby Museum of Curiosities. We wanted to eat a hot lunch first as the weather was so cold, but almost gave up hope as most of the venues around here seemed to be just coffee shops or fast food outlets. We spotted a small independent café which appeared to do a good range of simple comfort food style dishes in a side road (Pritchards Rd) off the Hackney Road. We all selected the burger meal (2 burgers, a fried egg, chips and beans) which cost an amazingly low £5.50 - we were also offered free fried onions which are normally £1. Although the food would win no prizes, nevertheless the meals were hot, perfectly cooked and tasty and served in a warm and friendly atmosphere. It is a well established family business. We noticed a good breakfast selection so may try it a little earlier soon. My vegetarian friend was well looked after. They substituted with a veggie burger for no extra charge..

I come from Switzerland and was in the Hotel The RE London... the Billys cafe is in front of the hotel... because of this i was every day there to eat breakfast... I came alone to london and know never person.... Ibo (he works in the Cafe) spoke with me and show me london and we was out with his friends! Now i have a lot of really good friends in London!
