Sent the wrong order then when I phone them would not do anything about it WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN If I could rate lower then a one on here if would do

A con!!!!!! Tried to do the collection order a few times now where u get 10% off and it doesn't work, the give scrap everytime, awful service, the don't care a toss, not nice people. Advertises 10% off if u order online, which I did thru there own website. Rubbish

I ordered at around 7pm today food didnt arrive when it was supposed to so I called them the guy on the phone stated drivers on way. So we waited another 30mins before calling again he then stated the same thing so again we waited another 30mins so an hour past delivery time now when they finally answered the call this time the guy was very rude. So we asked for a refund even offered to go and collect the refund he then stated you come here and all you will get is £3. So then when the food did finally arrive 2hrs after it was supposed to it was cold items were missing. I can say with absolute certainty I will never order from here again. AVOID AT ALL TIMES

After working in a chip shop for 2 years, I’ve learnt to appreciate good fish and chips. And this was exactly that. Staff were great as well, very accommodating and had a good laugh with them as well. Also if you care about curry sauce, this was one of the best curry sauce I’ve probably ever had. Simply amazing. 10/10

Have used this chippy for years and years, never really had a problem. However, last 4 or 5 orders have left a sour taste. There is always, ALWAYS something missing from our order and just recently the family have all had upset stomachs. Last order the chips were missing so we had to ring up and were told 'we'll do something for your next order' I was like no....we have 4 battered sausages here and that's it. We need the chips. They did bring them, but then the next day we were all ill. I don't know what has changed because it used to be really good. We won't be going back or using this place again.

Just ordered food when it came it was warm the kebab just fell to bit's and the garlic bread wasn't cooked properly very poor won't be ordering again, don't know what's happened because it used to be nice food from there but last couple of times we've ordered just seems to be getting worse 👎

Billy fish bar gave the delivery driver a paper bag with our food. The delivery driver came to deliver it and when he picked it up the food the bag split and the food fell on the road. The Uber claimed we received it when I never even touched the food as the delivery driver by accident made a mistake and the food went on the road . Uber didn’t refund us either and when I called billy fish bar they where very unhelpful about the situation and didn’t even entertain helping with the situation. I won’t be using billy fish bar ever Again, terrible customer service and considering we ordered weekly they will now lose potentially 1240 pound of future income from us. Awful customer service.

Worst kebab in history. Dry meat(the towel I dry my hair with after a shower has more moisture) naan bread was pointless, didn’t even hold the meat, the sauce pot was so small for a large kebab it may as well not been delivered.

Won't order again was very disappointed 😔 our new year's eve takeaway was shocking the kebab meat was like rubber and the chips looked like they were just teased with fat also it was cold 🥶 never had a issue till now and unfortunately its put me off ordering again

Got what I asked for and tasted good

Genuinely shocked by some of the reviews on here, though note most of them are old so could be why. We've been ordering from Billy's for at least 6 months now and every time it's been delicious! Their chips are the best around for miles and their battered sausages are a treat too. Also their curry sauce is proper chippy curry sauce! #ifyouknowyouknow

Don't bother! Only reason we've ordered from here is because bestwood fisheries is closed for a couple of weeks! Overpriced, and when I say we ordered over an hour and a half ago, I mean 2 hours and still not here! Absoute joke of a takeaway! Chips look like they need cooking, mushy peas look like there from space... talk about glowing 🙄 asked for naan bread, got pitta bread. Literally the worst place to order from ever. Used a few times before and the food has always been lovely, but took quiet some time to delv when less than 1/2 mile down the hill. This time how ever we ordered through Uber Eats . Small order for a small family tea . A large bag of chips were missing. Leaving only one bag. Which we gave to the children. I contacted the store and Uber. The man was hard to understand as the line was awful. Was questioned about where the food was. Erm ok I'm hardly going to call up about a bag of chips unless it's missing but it's £4.20 now. We are all I'll and just need some carbs. He took my address and said he'd send them out. 40 mins later and no chips. I've called again and spoke to another man. Clearer line this time. Apologies given and I was told the other man "forget" to send them. Really?!. I've updated Uber on the situation. Still waiting for this 1 bag of large chips from 1/2 mile down the hill , 20 mins after I called and 1 hr since recieving the first drop off. 🥺😵‍💫🫨🙄🙄🙄 I've tried the peas we ordered. Extremely watered down and very bitter. They have gone in the bin. It's now 19:20pm the delv has just arrived with the chips and apology at the door.

Food poisoning- both children had chicken nuggets and were fine before hand. Both children up all night and following day with sickness and diarrhoea defiantly will never eat from here again obviously don’t serve fresh food. Currently waiting on a call back to see if my 6 year old needs medical attention DISGUSTING.

It said 1h delivery, wasn’t delivered for way over an hour. All of the food came cold - we had to re heat in our own oven. Both portions of chips came covered in sauce (cold) - gone straight to bin - not sure why there’s a question about sauce as it doesn’t advice you that your chips will come covered in it straight away, if we knew that we would have chosen no sauce... Driver on his phone just passed the order and left - not even said hello not to mention some apologies for delay, you couldn’t even ask a question as he just turned back straight away. Question about pizza’s base - we ordered one deep pan and one thin - both look exactly the same! Very disappointed. Won’t order again

Used to love it and have continued to order here but always disappointed of late. Cold kebab meat, nasty tasting and expensive food in general. As with everything the quality has decreased and the price has increased. Won't make the mistake of ordering here again.

The wait time wasn't too bad and the food was actually OK. But I'm only giving 3* because of the nasty attitude of the delivery person who has put me off ordering from this place again. He has no customer skills at all and was not very friendly.

Employee had black nails who served food, I only got a chips and battered sausage. Worst I’ve had will never go again, so greasy and over priced! £4.10 for a regular chips and horrible battered sausage.

Nasty, took over a hour to come and everything was soggy due to the cold drink being left on the food, chicken burger was dry and over cooked in the middle, the lettuce was brown and everything was just nasty !

Wouldn't order from these again thought these were fab at first but when I started becoming a regular customer standards slipt when ur working till late and can't be bothered to cook and go to ur local u would expect quality..you spend alot of money for chips that have been left for hours to the point they taste stale the fish is half of the size you pay for and they charge 2pound delivery even though Iive a stones throw away..treat your loyals good that's what's going to make u stay afloat

I have just left this place and had ordered standard fish and chips, the old man who was preparing my order was eating kebab, putting his fingers in his mouth and coating the fish. The food ended up straight in the bin. Needless to say I will never get food from this place again. A waste of 7.90.

Been ordering from Billy’s for many years , always been the best local chippy .However the last couple of orders have been very late and food cold when it finally got here . Will find an alternative next time.

Every time we order from here food comes cold kebabs do anyway, so had something different chips and cheese and it came stone cold cheese didn't even melt who wants pay money to a fast food delivery to get cold food should be coming out fresh. Last time I'll order here! Chicken burgers cold drinks come warm 😐

Terrible service, every time i order i have problems with my order. Unbelievable. They forget to send the sauces, and if you buy extra toppings, there is a highly chance to be missing. Don't even bother to read the order comments, ridiculous. About the food, they are average 3/5!

The sofa is really comfy and that's the only reason Billy's got 1 star and that it won't allow a zero, the food was rank and went in the bin after 1 mouthful, even my 3 dogs turned their noses up

Ordered here for the first time tonight, and I can honestly say that it won't be the last! Food was absolutely delicious! This is a proper traditional English fish and chips shop. I ordered haddock and chips via UBEREATS and including delivery, it cost less than £10. Nowadays, things just aren't the same quality as what you remember from years ago, but the food from Billy's Fish Bar really took me back to my childhood, when I remember having fish and chips every Saturday night when I'd visit my dad. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough - if you're looking for proper fish and chips, you can't go wrong with Billy's.

Very hit and miss lately, food has been very oily especially the batter on the fish..ordered 2 large fish, Ive seen bigger fish fingers, portion size of large chips very small too.. probably will start looking elsewhere now

Usually go down but ordered a delivery. It arrived 2hrs earlier than the time I booked. Wrong sauces. Wrong drink. Everything all mixed up. Who wants chicken covered in mint sauce and chilli? Service in general has gone down lately, sad really.

Absolutely disappointed and shocked with their service. A rather large order was made after 8 and around 10pm we called to see what was happening after 3 calls their excuses were 'rain' then told the, driver was on their way, the third call they said the delivered. This was not the case. They are absolutely rude and didn't accept any responsibility. Do not order from these crooks!!! I would give th negative ratings of I could!!
