Food is amazing and staff were brilliant, can't recommend it enough. Definitely worth a detour to visit but booking a table is advised.

It’s good fun for the kids. the food quality isn’t brilliant, but there’s a pretty good selection and surprisingly good vegetarian options. Coffee was tasty

Had a good time, the milkshakes and drinks here are excellent and the food was also good. Prices were reasonable and I didn't feel overcharged at all. Very lively atmosphere that definitely caters well to families and kids with fun decorations and a good play area. The only reason for the 4 star rating was the absolute state of the male toilets (women's were fine). Both urinals overflowing onto the floor, one toilet was filled up with waste and the other completely plastered with urine. When I entered two kids were playing with one of the overflowing urinals and touching it with their bare hands. They then left without washing and touched the door handle. When I exited the room the door handle was wet. I understand it's an unavoidable problem and more the fault of those who cause the mess rather than the restaurant. But it really was revolting. Didn't mention it on the way out as I figured whoever I told would probably have to go in and clean it up which would not be a fun job. Other than the male toilets, I would definitely recommend the place for a meal!

I brought my five year old disabled son here one day in February and had a carer with me to help support him. I’d booked a table online as per their policy and arrived on time (11:30) and let the staff know we were there. In my booking request, I mentioned that my son was autistic and had an eating disorder (ARFID) so I wasn’t sure how he would be and requested we be seated near the door in case an early exit was needed. We were shown to our table near the exit and my son within a couple of minutes wanted to leave as it was too noisy, I ordered him an ice cream and we took it outside so he could regulate. At this point, I mentioned to the staff we were having to go outside and explained why so they could use our table for other guests if needed (although it was rather quiet customer wise at this point). We paid the additional £3 to play when my son was regulated, stayed for about thirty minutes and then had to leave as he had reached his limit. A few days later, I noticed that Billy Bob’s had charged me £15 in addition to our ice cream and play – I contacted them and asked why I had been charged £15 and was ultimately met with an aggressive rely from the ‘owner’ Mandy who claimed that she was entitled to do that because we hadn’t ordered a meal! I explained the whole situation and that I had not only attended our booking, we had made a purchase and paid to play. Mandy continued her aggressive tone and stance that she was in the right and then went on to question why I had taken my son somewhere busier than the restaurant - outside wasn’t busier and it was certainly more quiet, however, I owe no one an explanation as to my parenting decisions, especially complete (thieving) strangers. There is nowhere online which states a minimum spend and when booking the table, it says you will be charged if you don’t turn up – which we did! This place has absolutely NO understanding of additional needs, reasonable adjustments and thinks nothing of breaching the Equality Act. Other reviewers have commented how poor or (at best) average the food is and it is incredibly overpriced. The environment is hugely overstimulating and loud and I would advise against visiting this place at all but certainly out of principle for how it treats disabled children and steals your money! AVOID! There are so many wonderful places in Skipton to take your custom to.

We had my daughter's 5th birthday in the party room on Saturday and I can't recommend them highly enough. The host (Crystal) was brilliant at both keeping all parents informed of what was happening when and also keeping the kids organised. The whole thing was completely stress free, really good value and my daughter and her friends had the best time! Thank you!

Booked 10 people in last minute and the staff were so accommodating. I asked for 2 tables if they could with it being last minute but was super surprised (and happy) when we walked in to a large table for us all. Food was amazing and service was excellent, would definitely recommend!!

Came for a family breakfast, the food was delicious and the milkshakes are top tier. Had a mixture of the dishes, bbq without the bun, pancakes, iowa farm boy and all were 20/10 highly recommended, good service, good food and love the decor.

I visited Billy bobs in Myerscough with my two young grandchildren. food was delicious, but service was incredible. We were made to feel extremely welcome. The grandchildren played for hours in the fabulous outdoor play area a big thanks again to all the staff

Great place to pop in with the kids!

A charming, secluded spot surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. The views are breathtaking. The seating area is somewhat limited for larger groups (up to eight people). You can place your order through the app or order and pay directly at the cashier. The overall service was excellent - we did not wait long for our food. We tried the BBQ ribs and Philly steak. While the ribs were a bit dry, they were still enjoyable. Many of the meats, including the sausage, pulled pork, and beef, had an overall similar taste without distinct flavours (quite heavy). However, the fries were exceptionally crisp, which was a highlight. The food felt rich, but that may be reflective of American-style cuisine. I now wish I’d ordered a salad. The menu design could be improved, as the mix of fonts, sizes, and colors makes it somewhat difficult to read and navigate. The outdoor area is fantastic, featuring an amazing playground and two barns. We spent time swinging, sliding on mats, and playing - it was very well designed, and the kids had a wonderful time. Cleanliness throughout the establishment was spot on. The service stood out, with friendly and welcoming staff who created a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Highlights - Dad’s root beer, maple syrup, hot chocolate and ice cream with cherry. Don’t miss these.

Expensive but fun atmosphere and very 60s americano.

Such a great restaurant that exceeded our expectations. We went with our two year old who adored the outdoor play barn and the retro school bus inside the restaurant. We equally enjoyed the 1950s American aesthetic which is impressively executed throughout. It was very busy, but our food came very promptly and was really tasty. There’s also a fantastic selection of ice creams and drinks, the homemade cherry cola was to die for! The toilets were also clean and well-maintained which was appreciated for nappy changes. A great experience for the entire family and will definitely return again soon.

I visited Billybobs with my young boy and we had a great time. I have given it a 4/5 for the following reasons. Positives: Staff are friendly, go out their way to provide a good service. The food came quick and warm. The app is easy to order with. My son loves the food here and they do take care of you. Much nicer than the Myerscough restaurant Very clean. Staff are on it straight away. Negatives: The ribs I got were bland, no taste at all. 100% needs the sauce. However the rest of my food was very good! The American cake things that came with my food instead of bread... Not for me (personal taste!) Children are supervised by adults... But mostly just run ferral and spoil it for others. The atmosphere is just a bit too much for me. But thats personal taste, just feels a bit too loud for me. Sorry!

One of the best places to experience

You get a bit of Billy bobs in your shoes! Billy Bobs was an amazing experience! It was fun. The ice cream was the best, the cookie dough in particular. However, you get hay in your shoes. The water was expensive.

What a rip off this place is, the food is very overpriced , you used to be able to pay to just play here, now you have to book a table and buy a meal, what a joke, brought a child to a party and we were going to eat here whilst the party was on but not at those inflated prices, even the kids party food looked like the parents had been overcharged for what the kids were getting, nothing special and not much of it

Visited this diner for the first time with my family yesterday and it definitely won’t be the last time. The location of this diner is away from towns so definitely requires a car to access but around the diner the views are beautiful. The diner and experience there is just incredible, the food is all so fresh and tasted so amazing, the atmosphere felt entertaining and the diner has such fun retro American design, it’s so fun. They have a till where people can order food, they can use an app, we used an app and it was simple and all order arrived quickly. There are no alterations on food orders but we didn’t mind. It was so busy as we visited midday Saturday, so definitely book a table before a visit. After the hearty and tasty meal, we tried the ice cream parlour and there was so much choice, we loved it so much, the ice cream actually had so much flavour. The outside play area was so fun and it was free! My little sister enjoyed it even in the cold weather. There were some Birthday party rooms available so if anyone is looking for a different kind of kids Birthday party, this would probably be a great experience. Overall 5/5 without any doubt, the place, food and experience will be something we won’t forget! Really enjoyed it all.

Great place to take kids, it's a fun little area with some unexpected vegan options which is a nice change for the area. Massive play area for kids to enjoy and the food and drink choices are very fun, will undoubtedly be begged to go again at some point.

I have not been to Billiy Bob's in 6 years as I had to move for my job. I visited during the Christmas holidays and it was a good as I remember.

Really good, but very expensive for what it is.

I don't live as close anymore so to get down there is always worth the drive. But as always the whole experience was class. Felt like a pig that didn't want to leave the free buffet, The food was spot on, the milkshake after was another level, If only they did shots of Insulin!

Went to the polar express down the road and stopped here first. This place is well worth a stop if your in the area, lots for the kids and the food was absolutely amazing, the beef quesadilla was honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had, spot on! We will definitely be back to explore more and try some more food.

Went off peak so it was quiet, had the banoffee milkshake with all the trimmings, it was massive!! Not to mention delicious & reasonably priced, the young lady who served me was very friendly & very helpful & even brought them to the table for us so we didn't have to wait at the counter, would love to go back in summer & have a proper meal as the food looked delicious on the other tables,

Absurdly awesome place!! Literally in the middle of nowhere, there is an epic American diner!! Lovely quality food (shame the rack of ribs was off) good service and amazing decor! With a kids play barn next door!!

We love this place (food, playground and play barns!) so I booked a party here for my 5 year old. We were blown away by the organisation! AMAZING! Communication was excellent, as was the info and booking systems. Natalie coordinated our party today and took all the stress out of everything. She made everything so organised but also relaxed and friendly, I cannot thank her enough! Food was excellent, kids were happy as were all the parents! Natalie and Olivia you made our day amazing, you are wonderful at this, and we can’t thankyou enough for the most wonderful party! (Oh and the dietary requirements were so well thought about and catered for!)

Had the best experience here with my family, loved the food, staff and the place it's self.was outstanding and amazing place to be. Loved the play area barn and there was so much to see and adventure around there was fantastic. I'd defo recommend anyone to go there kids or no kids. This place is for anyone of age.

Friends have always recommended Billy Bob's but with not having children, I've never thought about visiting. But after someone else mentioning it I decided to visit on a weekday for breakfast, and I'm so glad I did. The restaurant is really impressive and much bigger than I anticipated. The service was absolutely first class and nothing was too much trouble - thank you Olivia, you're a real credit to Billy Bob's - and the food was out of this world. I had the Iowa Farm Boy Breakfast and it was absolutely delicious, the coffee was also pretty good too. I wanted to try the pancakes but just didn't have enough room, so will be back again in the future. I can imagine on a weekend it gets really busy, but this is probably down to how impressive the restaurant is, what's on offer for children and how good the food is. But I'm told if you book then no great issue. Looking forward to coming back at Christmas!

I've been to billy bobs a few times over the years and always enjoyed it but my visit on Sunday 10th of November was an absolute let down staff seemed disengaged, atmosphere was flat no real hype and the food was absolutely awful I ordered the BBQ platter and all the meat was cold and overcooked. Just a disappointment of a visit and a waste of money

After three visits, I can say the breakfast offerings are where they truly shine — absolutely delicious and incredibly filling. One breakfast was so hearty it kept me full all day! And the chocolate peanut butter milkshakes? An absolute must-try — rich, creamy, and totally indulgent. While the evening meal options didn’t quite hit the mark for me, the atmosphere and service make it a fun outing, especially for families. Our young daughter is always thrilled to visit the playbarn; she never wants to leave without some fun there after the meal. Overall, a great family-friendly experience that’s definitely worth it for breakfast, booking essential.

Great place with delicious food, entertaining atmosphere, and fun play area for the kids. Would love to visit if we come up to the area again! Make sure to make a reservation, as it gets busy, especially on days school is not in session.

Great food and reasonably priced

Really like this place been twice this week food is lovely and staff are brilliant. First vosit was just with my son and I jad the nachos whoch were very good. Second visit with the whole family I got the chicken burger. Probably best chicken buger ive had. Kids got the Mac and cheese which they could have shared as a decent size portion. My partner got the big meat plate. Wow very tasty. I do think the indoor barn should be included if your dining. We had a meal there at £74.00 had two kids at £3.00 each in the play barn so £6.00 and then another £4.00 each for 5 minutes in the ghost House so another £8.00. Soon got very costly. We've done it twice this week. May venture back at Christmas if they've something going on.

After reading mixed reviews about this place i wasn't sure what to think. This was our first time going. What a brilliant place. Definitely gives the American diner experience. The food was very tasty. Loved the decor inside. The staff were very friendly. The kids really enjoyed the play barn and park outside. It wasn't as busy as I'd thought it would be for a Saturday. Would highly recommend. Definitely be making more visits here. Ignore the negative reviews. GO and make your own mind up. We did and it was worth it 😁

Visited on a random drive out, it was very busy due to the school holidays and the imminent Halloween. Enjoyed my cheeseburger and milkshake, a little pricey as expected.

Amazing day out for the kids and grown ups!

Great food as always but facilities were a let down. 2/3 of the ladies toilets were blocked, the disabled toilet didn't meet basic standard due to emergency cord wrapped around the hand rail rendering both useless. Also disappointed to see most of the trikes in the play barn broken. Edited to add photo.

A gem of an authentic American retro' diner in the middle of beautiful North Yorkshire countryside. Great children's play area and ice-cream parlour too, for the Nty-nine year old on his way to a fell race.

Fantastic place, food was AMAZING. Booked table for 7 and we were quickly seated. Parking was free and plentiful, lots to do for children including play barn, children's play area...would be perfect morning/afternoon out for young children. Milkshakes are out of this world. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and food was quick to come. Highly recommended.

Came to celebrate the kids birthdays. Have been many times and this place never fails to deliver on the quality of food, service and overall experience. That’s haunted trail has been improved from last time we came and is brilliant. Play barns are excellent

Meals are super filling. I made the mistake of ordering too much, but that was my mistake. The food was excellent. Playground was made of well built wooden vehicles for all ages to play on. Easy parking with lots of space. Will happily return again. Thank you for a great afternoon.

Really enjoyable place to eat. Very family orientated so it's very noisy when it's busy as expected. There is an 'adults' room which is quieter if you'd prefer that option but no children below 13 are allowed in. The food service was pretty quick considering how busy they were and the food was spot on. We've been a few times now and will continue to visit.

Food decent and consistent. Kids always enjoy. Main reason for review was to praise our server Evie who was polite, attentive, efficient and happy to help. She also went above and beyond when one of the kids threw a pot of bbq sauce all over our clothes and belongings, by swiftly offering help and getting necessary cloths to clean it up. I hope this review is acknowledged and she receives the praise and incentive she deserves.

Great little place and there is an adults only area part of the diner if that's something you want to make use of!

Manager cannot deal with customers correctly at all!! After a very close very recent family bereavement, me, my partner and sister in law decided to take some well deserved down time with the kids. We decided billy bobs would be ideal, how wrong we were! Firstly we queued hoping to get a table but knew without booking chances would be slim and wouldn’t be disheartened if we couldn’t. When we approached the counter and asked we were greeted by a lady who seemed very abrupt about us not booking and seemed like she felt she had a point to prove. We didn’t let this effect our day at all and continued to be up beat about our day considering the dark ones we were dealing with. We sat down outside and took a look at the menu, after looking for a while we decided that there wasn’t much our 11 month old twins could eat due to intolerances. The rest of us (3 adults and 2 children) ordered nearly £70 worth of food and drink and we sat and waited. While waiting my partner got a small cheese pasta salad from her bag so the twins could snack while we ate. We didn’t think this would be an issue as we had already spent a significant amount and was willing to spend more at the establishment. After a while the same lady came to our table and requested we put the sun shade umbrella down due to wind which was understandable, but as soon as she cast her eyes upon the pasta salad it was like a red rag to a bull! (This is no exaggeration) She immediately started raising her voice, shaking and making sure the other customers around us knew about it! She gave us no opportunity to explain or even speak at all for that matter. Making us feel so embarrassed and belittling us and it seemed like she created a scene purposely for her own satisfaction (weirdly). I mean I would totally understand if we hadn’t spent a penny, there was baby food available and we had set up the table with a Tesco meal deal each! But no this was a small container of food for my babies that weren’t catered for! My partner barely had time to put one of the twins down to remove the food before she demanded again and told my partner to leave the area and feed the kids in the car! Making a comment like “I will make sure you go to the car park with the food” I assumed this meant she was going to escort my partner to the car? I could be wrong but again another weird comment to make. We like to think we have respect and was willing to put the food away but her fixation and strange remarks about not leaving us alone until the food was away got to a level where I started to think that this was a serious power trip. After this wave of abuse over a small pasta salad for children that are clearly not catered for here, we decided we had to leave before this lady made herself poorly! And before the whole of Skipton knew our twins had some pasta! We requested a refund which was fortunately given! I totally understand the situation but being a business owner myself I have learned there are ways to deal with customers whether in the right or wrong and this certainly was not the way to deal with this situation. We are honest, respectable, hard working people and a simple word over the shoulder would have been great and we would have accepted the problem and dealt with it! For anyone going to the establishment be warned of the brunette lady with glasses, her attitude towards us was horrendous and this is not how you deal with customers. Side note: Billy Bobs Owner, please know this lady is not doing your business any favours!! For your reference the name on our refund receipt was Maryse.

Absolutely love this place. Proper slice of the states. The decor is amazing and the food is too. Would definitely visit here more if i lived local but the trip will be worth the visit.
