Had Kipper Breakfast, English Breakfast Set 2 and Bacon & Scollop roll all with good strong tea. Everything cooked spot-on. Best Breakfast we've ever had - seriously. Excellent food in a no frills café, well worth a visit.

Finally made it here one day when it was one of those days where you some how wake up really early so I took that opportunity and went by impulse. Overall, I was so glad I went!!! Not only did they have scallop breakfasts, they had an amazing selection of teas like apple crumble which come from ASDA!! More fascinating, I was stunned why there were noodles on the menu so I asked what sort of noodles they were and they said it was Chinese noodles which are available on Monday mornings. So in a way, it has made me curious to go and check it out sometime but it really takes effort to get up and go there. Since I was there, I ordered the scallop bacon roll and scallop breakfast all to myself! The crusty roll was amazing and the scallops were as good as expected, fresh and bouncy. The bacon was on the dry and hard side though.

I came last week to get some fresh seafood and I decided to get one of their popular bacon and scallops baps... OMG still the best breakfast in town. They are just out of this world

If you like fish then you will both love and hate the Billingsgate Cafe (run by the Porky's family - so I am told). The fish is amazing - I had the haddock while my wife went for Sea Bream. But, and it is a huge but, you are going to love the fish but hate the fact that no other fish you eat anywhere else will live up to the taste. The Billingsgate Cafe sets the bar too high! Go, eat, enjoy!!

Located by the entrance to the fish market this old cafe serves beautiful fishy breakfasts from very early until about 9:00 am. The famous scallop and bacon sandwich in a huge crusty roll is incredibly good, so is the smoked haddock with an egg on top. You may have to wait to sit down and even share a table, but it's well worth it...

went in here before day at the cookery school. Nice friendly cafe, big mugs of steaming hot tea. We had the bacon and scallop sandwich, which had good thick tasty bacon, but we were disappointed with the scallops, very bland and squishy, I don't hink they were very fresh or possibly stored in water? Think I will just stick to bacon roll next time.

We popped in at 6:30am, the cafe is known as piggys in the corner of the market. Still jetlagged we opted for the scallop and bacon sandwich, a large bap with two slice slices of thick cut back bacon and a huge pile of fresh scallops, amazing value (£4) and a must if visiting the market

This restaurant is notorious for cancelling orders. Out of around 10 orders I've made from here (over 12 months), about 6 have been cancelled with no reason and one time they gave me salmon in my vegetarian poke bowl. It's a shame, Feng Sushi as a whole is a very good sushi chain.

great service and food. chicken wings could’ve done with more sauce. my coke was not sent. yet I was charged for it.

Although they also do this breakfast combination on a plate, by far the best way is between soft white bread with a little brown sauce. Sublime and exceptional value.

Food was very good but the delivery was very late and we got no notification that they were running late. The app said the food had been delivered when it hadn't.

We visited after early morning shopping for fish in the market and before a course at the Billingsgate Seafood School. Select your breakfast choice from the extensive list - Scallops and bacon for me, smoked haddock and scrambled egg for my sister - find a seat, go and collect your mug of tea (or Lemsip - never seen that on a menu before!) and keep an ear out for when your order is called. My bacon and scallops were excellent, well cooked bacon, juicy scallops with tomatoes and toast, served with a slight panache that works well in the market cafe. My sister seems to have a ton of smoked salmon with her scrambled egg, and its remarkable value. Interesting food in a fascinating market - excellent!

After visiting the fish market. I went to this cafe and ordered a scallop and bacon roll with a mug of tea for less than £5. The food was hot and tasty. No frills or fancy service but it's worth the journey.

I have never been disappointed having breakfast at the Billingsgate Cafe (be careful there are two café's, one of which is only mediocre). The Seafood breakfast is of Gourmet quality. My favourite has to be the Smoked Haddock with two poached eggs, bread and tea or coffee at £10. I also like the Kippers with grilled Tomatoes or the Scallops and Bacon both at £7. This is not a silver ware and table cloth place. However, the service is friendly and the food delicious.

Since the sushi we've had from here was so good, we decided to try the hot food. Unfortunately, everything arrived cold, which ruined the enjoyment a bit, and the katsu tasted under-seasoned. We'll stick to the sushi next time.

After our visit to buying our fish we did the usual of buying out breakfast there and once again didn't disappoint us. I had the smoked haddock with poached eggs. Cooked to perfection and very fresh. Buzzing place with people shouting out orders. A proper east end experience with famous celebs and chefs around the market

This is one of two cafes within Billingsgate fish market and is my favourite of the two. I have been coming to the market for several years and although the cafe has changed ownership and has taken on a few new touches such as salads with the meals and staff uniform, it remains a cheap and cheerful place with a lovely bustling traditional cafe atmosphere. I recommend the scallop and bacon roll or the smoked salmon breakfast but the full English looks really good too . As with the market it is only open early in the morning so you need to get up early to go.

I ordered the food with "Ikura", however none was in the box.

Food arrived very quickly and wasn't too bad, the katsu curry was a bit cold and the shush I wasn't the best I've had but still okay, presentation was excellent

Average sushi, we didn't eat it all, I wouldn't order it again to be honest.

They didn't have the salmon fishcakes and rang me to tell me this. I said I'd have the mixed tempura instead - they said I couldn't have that because it was a different price, I said I'd pay the difference, they said I couldn't, I had to choose something else for the same price! At this point of course, they could have said "OK we'll give you the mixed tempura for the price of the salmon fishcakes." They didn't. The rice that came with the rock shrimp tasted like it might be mouldy.

Will never order from here again - FISH NOT FRESH - had to spit out the roll and dump the dish. Really disappointing.

Order arrived in 1.5 hours, driver was rude and claimed we are not living at the address. Too many problems for average quality food.

Really fast delivery at peak time (within 30 mins around 6-7pm). Sushi rolls was really good. Only problem I had was that I had asked for no wasabi in my message and they still put wasabi in so had to throw most of the ginger away. Would order from them again.

Sushi was a little bland ("seared" salmon arrived as "a little bit cooked around the edges" salmon), but everything else made up for it – so much so that we've ordered again tonight!
