Billericay Tandoori in Basildon

It has been closed for a few weeks now. No sign of life at all. No sign on the window. I've been a fan for a number of years, so very sad about this.

Tried to order from this Indian 5 times now via Just-Eat and the order has only been accepted once. No explanation why they declined the other 4 times, paying by card usually around 6:30 on a week day

Rejected my order on justeat with no good reason or explanation

We tried this lovely little Indian take away Sunday night despite reading some mixed reviews we thought we wood give it ago and the food was very good a lot better then some of the Indian restaurants in the area. Definitely just found our new local Indian takeaway Billericay tandoori we give you a fantastic 9/10

Really rude and super late! Order from Spice King...they are on time and nice people. Billericay Tandoori isn't worth the money or wasting your time.

Our order was incorrect. We paid for a naan but did not receive it and was given mushroom rice instead of keema rice. We didn’t bother calling to ask for a replacement as our order had already taken 40minutes to arrive.

The food was delicious, but the onion b’s were very crisp, but also delicious

took over 90 minutes to eventually arrive, barely warm and not particularly great taste

very disappointed with the delivery on our order tonight despite phoning twice and being told our delivery is in our way and 5 mins away it finally turned up 45 mins late

onion bhaji was awful but other than that was nice food, would order again. delivered when they said it would be. 👍🏻

Food was lovely though could have been warmer as had to reheat some of the dishes.

Given a 20 min slot for collection. As delivery time was stated as 45 mins. Arrived 10 mins late and still had to wait another 10 mins. Would have been better getting it delivered.

Received every part of my order with it all correct, food was great and delivered bang on time.

Sent the wrong nan bread, didnt get the chips. Food quality was satisfactory and on time. I didnt ring to try to rectify order as it was too late. I expect to get what I order.

The food came really quick, was hot and my partner commented, the best Indian take away he has ever had. Would definitely recommend and definitely order from them again!!!

Always go here for Indian takeaway! It is the only place in Billericay to get honey chicken and that is why we go here each and every time. The food always arrives hot and is reasonably price! Best Indian takeaway in Billericay!

The only Indian takeaway I'll use in Billericay and have done for years. Food is always great, good portion sizes, friendly staff and drivers. Never had a problem in almost 4 years.

Didn't even turn up. When rang to discuss 2 hours later I had no apology and was just told they cancelled the order as they didn't receive a telephone number. Disgusting service would NOT order again

Brilliant food and big portions, got one of our dishes wrong but when I called them they cooked it straight away and dropped it off very quickly, Will be ordering from again.

Had 2 Takeaways from here lately as my pickles is closed for refurbishments and was expecting to get the usual Slop... that most of them serve up around her. Was Pleasantly Surprised. Didn,nt have to wait Too Long either. Well Done to you guys!!

Delicious garlic chilli chicken curry, will definitely be purchasing this dish again! I also think it's great how my chicken tikka starter came on the bone, not many takeaways offer that. Wonderful service and friendly delivery service. Thank you! :-)

Best takeaway in the area. Never have to wait long, we collect as we live outside delivety area but it is worth the 3+ mile journey. Delicious food, vegetable curry made with fennel very tasty. Reasonable prices excellent recommended

App said estimated delivery was 20.20, when checking the app at 20.30 it stated that my order had been delivered...it had not. I called and was told it would be another 5 minutes, finally delivered at 20.50! Started to unpack the order and the mixed starter was missing! Called back again to find out where it was and they apologised for it being missing and said it would be cooked straight away and sent out, by the time it was delivered the 4 of us had finished our meal. All in all the food was lovely and I would definitely give them another shot to get the order right and hopefully not such a long wait for delivery.

Would love to give a food review but did not receive any food. After ordering and waiting an hour and a half phoned to find out where my food was,told 5 mins and it would be delivered. After another 30 minutes phoned yet again to be told it was going to be another 20 minutes. Gave up and went and got a burger. Will never use again. Absolute joke.

The food is amazing!! I always get my curries from here. I had the tandoori king prawn masala. Amazing source...but I was a little let down on the prawns. They seem to have been frozen, so they just fell apart...which isn't right. The delivery took a bit longer than it said, but I wasn't too bothered. But over all really good food, and I will continue to get my curries from here.

Extremely disappointed with the service. A shame as the food (when it finally arrived after a 2 hour wait) was good and reasonably priced. We were originally given a 50 minute wait time - when the food was half an hour late I called and was assured it was "on it's way" and that they were extremely busy. However, when I called again 20 minutes later for an update I was told that in fact the driver originally delivered our food to the wrong address, so it had to come back to be recooked. While I appreciate that mistakes do happen, we didn't get a single call from the restaurant to tell us that we'd have to wait over an hour longer than originally specified. We had no apology and no offer of any discount to compensate for the wait. When I told the lady on the phone that we just wouldn't order from them again she simply said "OK - bye!" Back to Bayleaf next time I think!

Very pleased with the meal thanks

Took an hour and a half to arrive so was only just warm when we received it. Did get a call from the owner saying it'd be 10 minutes but wasan extra 30 after that. Food was nice once warmed up but not what you expect to do after 90 minutes waiting for it.

Always a great meal.. My favourite being the Chicken Jalfrezi which is awsome, hot , spicy and full of flavour, had many of them and have never been let down

Los precios son un poco de mezcla en función de lo que tengas y tipo de acuerdo que la comida no saben como estaba recién preparado, que es diferente de lo que solía sabor. Aunque todavía no está tan mal y las salsas son mejor que algunos otros lugares similares. Si estoy en el área, pueden usar el lugar otra vez. intentarlo, si no te gusta (como con cualquier cosa en life) ... Ir a otro lugar.

Won't be ordering from here again. kurma sauce watery and bland, chicken was dry and so was the tandoori chicken. Sag Aloo was also bland. Called up to let them know and they blatantly weren't bothered and didnt even apologize. It was edible but not enjoyable. Oh well, you take a gamble dont you!

Intentamos tomar una entrega de estos chicos hace una semana. no abre hasta las 5:00 p.m. , así que llamamos a 5:20. Cuando le preguntamos si podíamos pedir una entrega Desde luego escogeremos nos informaron que no había conductores de entrega trabajando. preguntamos si éste era el caso de toda la noche y simplemente dijo "sí, no conductor'.

I've been a frequent customer of Billericay Tandori for years now.The food is consistently good.Take away only.

Unfortunately this was probably the worst Indian I have ever had. I have never been motivated to review a takeaway before but this was so tasteless and insipid that I have. Bombay Aloo deserves special mention for its awful taste.

we've been using both Billericay Tandoori and the Feast of Bengal since living around the corner for the last four years and I have no complaints about this place. always fast service and never had a m issing item in my order
