Bikano's Indian Cuisine in Bath and North East Somerset

Unfortunately I can't recommend after my experience. I was nearby so ordered through their system. Half an hour later and had heard absolutely nothing in terms of if the order was accepted or not so decided to go to the shop hoping it was just a mistake. Was told sorry, system isn't working at the moment. Why it wasn't therefore taken down or had a note to say that on it was really disappointing. I was now 30 minutes over schedule and had to wait extra for it to be made meaning I got stuck in rush hour traffic as well. Once I had paid the exact same amount with no offer of discount or anything for the inconvenience, the food was made. After taking it home, I realised it was extremely overpriced. Just two small bhajis for £5... The curry was spicy and not particularly enjoyable either. To be fair, the food had good flavours but I think too strong for my personal taste. Was disappointed and wouldn't return based on this experience alone.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in Bath. One of the best Indian food I’ve had whilst living here. The service is exceptional and the food is absolutely delicious with a large variety of options. As I am vegetarian I was really pleased to see a whole section made for vegetarian options, both starters and mains. Everything I have tried here is great but some of my favourites are the samosa chaat, chili paneer and shahi paneer with garlic naan. I would recommend this restaurant to people who love indian food or anyone who would like to try authentic Indian food.

We think it’s the best curry in town - our favourite dishes are their tamarind chicken & their authentic Dahl makhani but everything is delicious!. They mix the spices for themselves! The prices are reasonable and staff friendly so we pop in frequently. They have 5 stars for cleanliness too! I would love it if they added original large poppadums to their menu.

Amazing food! Great service, and the host, Ram was a delight to talk to. I had a meeting to attend online while at dinner at Bikano - the staff was very accommodating and made sure I wasn't disturbed while they took orders or while they served others at the table. Loved the food, too! Would recommend 10/10 for service and for Indian food!

The food was exceptional. Really lovely people looking after us. Everything was home made and delicious. The lamb was even succulent. We dined in.

We ordered from Bikano’s when visiting Bath. Really great food. We ordered the Salmon tikka, paneer tikka, chicken jalfrezi and lamb chettinad with garlic and coriander naan and pilau rice. Food was great. Tasty and hot temperature wise on arrival. Great service from the team.

It was really good experience the food is excellent

Every time I come to Bath I have to come to Bikanos - the food quality is very consistent and consistently good - my favourite starter is the broccoli, it comes in a devilishly spicy sauce - I usually get the Lamb Bhuna special, it is lovely - really tender and not hot. The garlic Nan is spectacular (for garlic lovers) - good size meal and appropriately priced wines by the glass. Mmmm.

As always, the food,service and staff never let you down . Just excellent across the board.

We had a very tasty and value for money meal at Bikanos last Saturday. The atmosphere was so welcoming and service was friendly, speedy and efficient. I was surprised that the cafe just down the road had not heard of Bikanos - maybe some fliers in the local venues might be a good idea. We found you in the end though. Many thanks

Just arrived Bath in the evening and wanted to introduce my parents to Indian food. They loved everything and so did I! Their favourite was the Chicken Taka Tak. Great service too!

Went to Bikano on Christmas day. Great food. Felt like home cooked meal. Ordered Aloo tikki chat and samosa chat, both were great. Butter garlic naan was amazing, paired it with Aloo gobhi, daal makhani and rice. Everything was great. Loved the food and the service.

Visited with a large group and Bikanos made it a great evening. The best Indian food in Bath. Staff were very welcoming and we all enjoyed our evening.

80/100 Borderline 5 star. Service: Very good, better than average. Friendly man that served us, food and drinks came quickly, checked in on us and cleaned table midway through - nice touch. Remembered our orders without even writing them down! Food: Have been to a lot of Indian restaurants. This was definitely above average. Currys nice taste, rice and naan nice, homemade desserts which were very good. Fish cooked well (often overdone, this was not). Overall high quality food. Nothing that blew our minds but solid and good quality, and appreciate especially that desserts were homemade - a good sign of chefs that care. Atmosphere/environment was ok, nothing amazing. Prices probably average for Bath and portion sizes. More expensive/bit smaller portions that up north but probably expected. Overall good, solid, tasty with staff that seem to care about what they are doing (service and homemade food). Would recommend.

Travelled from Christchurch with friends and we were staying round the corner from this restaurant and decided to dine in. So glad we did! We had the most amazing meal! The chicken byriani was to die for and quite frankly my wife would travel to Bath again any day of the week just to eat it again and again! We all enjoyed every dish, the staff were very friendly, the food was piping hot, beautifully presented and we wish it was on our doorstep! So if you guys open a branch down here,please let us know! 10 out of 10 all round! 😋🌟

Nice seating but very bright Food was greasy and tasteless Expensive and a very poor wine selection ie CHEAP bottled in the UK Service OK no atmosphere on a Sunday night pretty empty Toilets filthy with black mould in places

A nice family meal on a Sat evening. Food is good. Relatively small portions. Overall a safe bet. Better than a 3* but not a 5*.

Staying at Travelodge and wandered in as nearby, and what a gem! Friendly atmosphere, people eating and conversing, quick service and lovely and plentiful food. And incredible value. It was very busy and you can see why. Will be back next visit to Bath, maybe even again this visit! I could not find fault. A fantastic local restaurant. Thank you to all.

This is the best Indian restaurant in Bath, hands down. Reasonably priced for authentic food. We had the Chicken Chettinad and Rajasthani Laal maans (Bikano’s special). Service was quick and friendly. Thank you!

Ordered takeaway from this restaurant and couldn't be any less satisfied than what we were nearly a year ago. Keeping consistency in good food and not too expensive price range throughout the year (despite of pandemic situation) is commendable. This place always has something special to offer in taste every single time.

Fuimos aquí esta noche por primera vez y nos quedamos muy impresionados. Tuve las madras de pollo y fueron las mejores que he tenido. Mi amigo e hijo disfrutaron mucho sus comidas de pollo tikka masala y korma también. Definitivamente volveremos. También había un miembro del personal amable y acogedor que nos atendió.

SUPER delicious food. Our favorite was the broccoli starter with the chili sauce. And very sweet service :) would absolutely recommend!!

Fabulosa cena. Restaurante tranquilo. Servicio atento y amable. Auténtica cocina rajastana. Especialidad de cordero bellamente especiado. Deliciosos dips de popadum y el mejor bhaji de cebolla que he probado. No hay necesidad de quedarse sin, ya que toda nuestra comida era sin gluten.

We found this amazing place a short walk away from the Roman Baths. We tried Bikano thalis and Dosas. The food felt authentic and tasty. The staff was courteous and accommodated our requests. I would highly recommend this place!

The food and service was great. Location also good. My only issue was that I went for a romantic meal for 2 and all the other tables were full of large groups. The table next to us had a particularly loud chap that made it impossible for anyone else to hear anything but him. Maybe an earlier/different time could avoid this.

Dined here a few times now, once again the food and service was excellent, I had the lamb bhuna which had a subtle heat and my wife had lamb chettinad which was a little hotter, the lamb in both dishes was lean and succulent, will return again soon. 😋

We regularly visit Bikano's as a family, so asked them to help with a party we had planned to celebrate some "milestone birthdays". In the end they catered for 130 of our friends and family, with Bikanos providing an amazing selection of wonderful Indian food, coping with the demand (many people returned to fill their plates) by driving back to the restaurant to stock up on supplies. They really made our party memorable - months later, our friends are still talking about how tasty the food was.

Excellent food with lovely flavours and perfectly balanced dishes. Nothing bland or boring, and each dish stands out from the others - nothing same-y. Varied menu for meat eaters and veggies alike. Professional and charming service. Ready to offer advice if you're not sure what to order. And a very good price point for high quality food and service. Looking forward to my next visit!

Offered papad as appetizer & this is usually given for free, but unexpectedly charged for it. Also the taste of the gajar ka halwa dessert was nullified somewhat by the fruity sauce added, i wasn’t a big fan of that. However, the food & atmosphere here is good overall, my girlfriend really loved the dal makhni.

Food is nice, but too expensive for the price with little portion not two small kofta with lot of curry. Ask for less salt before hand. On top of that 10% service charge is compulsory and you have to pay.

Visiting from the America and wanted a great Indian place while here in the UK. I look though reviews on town and this place stood out. It was worth it. Such good food! Delicious

I don’t know who authorised these people to open restaurant.At least they should know to serve customers and should atleast be familiar to indian taste and culture. No body of these people knows basic of serving the customers.

I’ve been over the country for Currys, but this one is by far the best one I’ve ever had. We go back there every year and the staff are brilliant was there this weekend 24.07 2024 . Will be back in October again

My first takeaway there, as staying in Bath with friends. Very friendly service and generally the food was very good with the exception of the naan bread that was that thin it might have been a chapati.

Seriously good authentic curry - would highly recommend it. The staff are lovely and the food is such a high standard. Lots of different dishes not found in many curry places

Stopped off for a quick lunch while in town. My colleague and I were in bath on business for the day. Never been here before, but will be back with family next time. Really great service, wide range of options on the menu……and simply delicious food. Cannot fault, seriously the food at this lovely restaurant is fantastic. Go see for yourselves……

The food was very good and the service was amazing

Have had takeaway from here several times (and loved it every time!) but ate in for the first time, with our two young children (5 and 2), which is probably the first time we’ve taken them out somewhere to eat properly that’s not a “kids” restaurant. Staff were very attentive, kids were very well catered for (including my daughter’s demands for a cup of milk, which wasn’t on the menu!), and the food was perfect as always!
