Amazing food quality best place in bath for curry and Indian food very fast service

Bought a plain naan to take away just now. It was the worst naan I've ever eaten: bland, no flavour and thin. Thought of dining in this restaurant but now this won't happen because it has failed my 'naan test'.

I like the atmosphere as well as food. Staffs are very nice by nature.

Cozy place. We walked in at 5 pm and were seated right away. The restaurant is clean, and the service and food are quick. I had that she-kababs and the lamb biryani, which neither had a lot of flavor nor was as good as I'm used to. My wife had the grandfather's chicken curry and wasn't a fan. I have high hopes, but maybe they were just off tonight.

Absolutely the best Indian food I've had in years, possibly ever. Service excellent - attentive but not pushy, and open late - we had Friday dinner at 9.30pm. Prices are very fair too, especially for the quality. We had the lamb rogan josh and the chicken grandfather's curry (i think that was what it was called), rice and garlic coriander naan. Everything was tasty, beautifully cooked and served. Highly highly recommended.

Just left Bikanos and it was so good felt compelled to review. I had the Lamb Buhna Sharabi and I’ve never had lamb so tender in an Indian Restaurant before. Got chatting to the chef who’s been doing this for 20 years which really shows in the food as it was done to perfection. Definitely recommended

Another excellent meal - we were comparing it to Dishoon and most of us prefer Bikano’s!

This is our second visit to Bikanos and once again the food and service was excellent, the best lamb dishes I've had, will definitely return.

We came for a celebratory Birthday lunch early on a Saturday so it was quite quiet which was fine with us. Fantastic flavours as always and great service. Highly recommend.

Delicious meal for a large number of people on a Saturday night. Well done Bikanos. My dosa was absolutely top quality and the other meals I tasted were equally as delicious. The staff were welcoming and efficient and coped well with our constant moves around the table, and actually remembered what we'd ordered for us. Thanks so much for accommodating our group and putting up with the annual singsong too.

Nice little restaurant, fairly busy for a Tuesday, and the one and only serving member of staff was very friendly and polite. Unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired. The poppadoms were like a plate of Doritos, I prefer them the usual round so we can break them up ourselves, the dips were tiny and were gone long before the poppadoms. I've been out for plenty of curies over the years, but both mine and my partners were very poor in comparison to the same dishes elsewhere. The naan bread was also very thin and crispy, similar to poppadoms actually. All in all, a disappointing meal all round.. 😕

This was our first time eating here and we are so pleased we tried Bikanos. There is an excellent choice on the menu. The starters and mains we ordered were delicious. Service was excellent. We will definitely return.

We had a very good dinner at Bikanos and were very well looked after. We had chicken madras and tandoori, freshly prepared and delicious. The sauces were very well balanced and well-flavoured. We will definitely be back.

The worst curry I've ever had, anywhere. Neither dish tasted nice (chicken tikka massalla, lamb rogan josh). Peshwari Nan was also awful. They must be buying reviews. Simply awful

Really delicious butter chicken, cold pint of cobra, friendly and attentive staff. A gem hidden away in Widcombe.

Ordered a takeaway, the main was essentially a large tub of sauce with 6 very small pieces of paneer in it, hardly what you’d consider a meal. Side was also a very small portion with a few pieces of potato. Worst takeaway I’ve had in a while, won’t be ordering again.

The restaurant was quite quiet when we arrived at 18:15 but it gradually filled up with people. It’s not the most atmospheric of restaurants but I’m not sure that that is a problem. I can’t complain about the service we received. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive. The main waiter was very impressive in noting the orders without writing them down and there were no issues with the order (I’d definitely have to write it down). One of the tables had an issue getting the attention of the two waiters but this was because they were in the middle of serving the main meal to the largest table in the restaurant. The food was uniformly excellent with each dish being distinctly flavoured and the starters in particular were beautifully plated. The menu has an excellent mix of classic British Indian dishes and some interesting/more unusual dishes without the amount of choice being overwhelming. Portions were decent sized. We probably ordered too much, ordering three main dishes between the two of us, along with two starters, a rice and a naan bread. However, it was so good that we managed to eat pretty much everything and we (I) ordered a second basket of poppadoms to mop up the remaining sauces. Prices were pretty typical for Indian restaurants in Bath. We paid £115 for effectively three courses for two people, with a bottle of Prosecco, and including a 10% service charge. I’d highly recommend eating at Bikanos and would definitely dine there again.

Been here a few times when visiting Bath. Always best to book, as it was very busy when we dined on Saturday at 7.30pm. Food was excellent. Like most places, I see that they have increased their prices a bit. Just remember that the do add a 10% service charge to your bill automatically.UPDATE: Visited again last night (Friday 13th at about 5.30pm). Another enjoyable visit. Food and service was very good. I think since the opened, they have fine tweaked a few things for the better.

Ordered takeaway from this restaurant and couldn't be any less satisfied than what we were nearly a year ago. Keeping consistency in good food and not too expensive price range throughout the year (despite of pandemic situation) is commendable. This place always has something special to offer in taste every single time.

Fantastic and super delicious!!! Very friendly service, good explanation of the dishes. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that it is very noisy, especially with 2 groups of 5 and 9 people in a small establishment. But don't let this stop you from having a delicious meal here!!!

Ordered takeout using there online system which was very easy and appreciated the clearly labelled vegan options. Was ready for pickup in 20mins. All tasted fantastic. Only took off a star as i would have loved some vegan naans or more vegan mains.

One of the best Indian meals I have ever had. Definitely number 1 for me in Bath. Their fish pakoras were melt in the mouth and the chicken chettinad was delicious- 1st time I have tried this dish, succulent, tasty with a slow spicy. Delicious

Only the water was good, the service from the waiter, worst ever, dint even cared to serve water even after asking for 3 times, cared very less to write down the order we said and missed half of the items, when asked for it dint communicate properly, disgusting customer service ever had in the UK. I understand that we went by closing time but there wasn’t a single thing which was eatable whether it’s starters or mains, mango lussi, we had to send it two times to convince the waiter how disgusting it was and later he himself agreed that isn’t good. Overall I’d love to give negative stars than 1 star(it’s a lot too much too)😫

Always a great experience eating in this restaurant. Our 2nd time, staff are wonderfully hospitable and nothing is too much trouble. Cleanliness of tables and restaurant when customers leave is exceptional. We will be back. Great food thank you .

Best Indian restaurant in bath no doubt. The chef have amazing skill and the manager is great. I have been to their other restaurant in Hinckley which is called Bikaneri the food there is even better more authentic dishes. Would highly recommend

We had a fantastic late lunch - food was delicious and service was great - atmosphere is difficult to judge as we were the only people there just before it closed, but we had a wonderful visit and would come again.

A real find - the cookery here is exceptional, such tender meat you could cut it with a spoon! Fabulous use of spice, a real delicate and knowledgeable touch. Can't wait to go again!
