Biggin Hill Fish & Chips in Bromley

Rang through an order for collection 10 mins before closing on a Saturday. Expected to be told "sorry, too late. No pies. We're not putting any more fish in" But no - They were happy to take my order, when most others would have started clean-down and refused. Nice blokes on collection (less than 5 mins before closing at this point). Didn't feel rushed at all. Usually with chip shop chips you have to pick and choose which ones you eat. Not here - chips weren't greasy, but equally not dry. No rejects, but the portion sizes meant we couldn't finish it all. Chip butties tomorrow with the left-overs! Wife's very picky with her fish, but commented how nicely done it was, and again about the portion size being large. Will absolutely be making this our go-to from now on.

The food was amazing, the cod was huge and cooked perfectly and the small chips were delicious and enough for a family so not small, tasty hot and on time and delivered with a smile which is rare these days, it’s going to be my regular from now on and the price is amazing, the chips in the photo are probably a quarter of what they delivered

My first visit was disappointing. The staff was rude and made me feel like a nuisance for simply ordering. The menu was hard to read, with one TV screen off and the others flickering. To top it off, the food was not great.

Excellently cooked big chunky fish and good portions of chips. Enjoyed them very much

I ordered a take away Burger meal. The Coca cola drink was missing from the meal.

Battered sausage was delivered in the same bag as the chips and was soggy when it arrived. Chips were not the best and couldn’t taste any salt and vinegar.

If I could put 0 stairs I would the food you have is not freshly made Also gives me stomach sickness so will definitely not be going back 🫣

Most of the chips were old, had been laying in the fryer for quite some time and were inedible. Such a shame We did contact the establishment and were advised to return for more…we chose not to.

We ordered at 5.30pm - delivery ETA said 6.15 - still no food by 7.00 , so we phoned, were told it was on its way; food delivered about 7.20. Well. Husband's pie was dry, clearly not same day fresh. My cod was awful, swimming in grease, so obviously reheated, and the chips were disgusting, with that horrid smell you get when something has been reheated in cooking oil. If the fish had been freshly fried, I think the batter might have been nice and crispy, but we'll never know. The cat is having a ball, though, as he got to eat an £8 piece of fish to himself, but I'm feeling very queasy. It wasn't the 1st time we had ordered from them, but it will be the last one, the quality has gone further downhill each time, and tonight was the last straw.

Absolutely appalling, ordered at 3.06 pm, it's now 5.30pm, no food has been delivered and have called them 10 times + with no answer, absolutely terrible service will never use again !!!

Popped in today for a sausage in batter, it was only half warm. The atmosphere was made unpleasant by a foul off putting cooking odour.

Ordered a cod, chips and curry sauce. Fish was delicious; not too oily, firm and flakey with crispy batter. Chips are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and the curry sauce was perfect. Great service and timely delivery.

After almost 2hrs of waiting and no answer when calling the shop we had to call Uber eats to cancel and get a refund.

Poor service, 10 mins late, no apology. Fish Luke warm at best, and batter stuck to bag. Wrong order, when I questioned shop, they said they didn’t have fish I wanted, so put another in, without asking!!!!! Rude staff on phone as well

Order was incorrect (had replaced pea fritters with cheese straws) when arrived and the 3 pots of curry sauce had been squashed and all sauce was in bag. Phoned and explained what had happened. Had to wait for ages for new curry sauces and replacement for pea fritters. Delivery woman asked for us to pay £5 for the food, when I opened the bag had 1 sausage, 1 pot of curry sauce and a very small portion of chips! So still didn’t get what I wanted. I spend a lot of money here. Will not be ordering from here again! Roe was burnt and chips were horrible.

My food was late. There was no salt or vinegar as I asked and they don’t do lemon for the fish; Which was in two pieces and stuck to the bag. This was my 1st and last time ordering from here . Disappointed

Honestly used to love this place when I discovered it but I’m not sure what’s gone wrong just lately. People nice and polite but the food quality has really gone downhill which is a shame.

Always used to be great but all of a sudden the chips have changed. They are almost like frozen ones rather than made on premises. The batter on the sausage is so so thick it’s just full of oil and is soggy because of this.

We ordered fish chips and mushy peas for 2. As usual the food was good. What I don't understand is when the app that you order from asks you for a delivery time and you put 21:30 and the food turns up at 21:00 . We had only just arrived home so the food goes in the oven to keep warm until we are ready. If your going to give the option, please read it.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. The chips looked, smelt and tasted like they were cooked 9 times over 3 days. They were horrible. I have to say, given the current world we live in, I do not take leaving negative feedback lightly. I appreciate that everyone needs to make a living but serving this quality of food is criminal! Avoid at all costs!

Good food but like their branch at 7oaks the counter staff are not observing the rules on the use of face masks, wearing them under your chin is a waste of time and the attitude I got for telling them to put it on was off-putting.

Fantastic fresh food, great portion size and there’s plenty on the menu, so I can have something different every night of the week.

It's a nice chip shop reasonable prices and food is always nice, also don't wait ages for your order. Rarely do they get the order wrong would suggest it for takeaway or even to sit in and eat.

customer service very poor, also wanted 30p for a small sachet of tomato ketchup, which I find disgusting as you would need at least 2 per person, my roll was stale, the only saving grace the chips were ok, will not be returning to this chippy... also nowhere to wash hands and no toilet facilities

Food on a plate in moments at my table. Would have been nice if they'd offered bread n butter, cup of tea, gravy, peas or curry. They may sell these but I dont know because they weren't offered. Food was good but the only condiments were salt and vinegar.
