He goes one star to the man at the till. Food was bellow standard and again all the previous comments mainly spot on!

Ordered battered sausage , chips, saveloy, kids nuggets and chips . Came to £20. Battered sausage was very small , disgusted considering I paid 2.75 for it. Staff member looked unfriendly and disinterested. Very very slow service, as there was one person serving and cooking food. Avoid at all costs.

Staff made a racial comment which I was taken back by. After making the comment he giggled at another guy.

Arrived in Brighton for a few days away, just fancied fish & chips on the sea front, never again.Chips had been stood for don't know how long fish over cooked & dripping in grease, peas & gravy Kept in drinks cartons on warming plate both congealed not good. get an ice cream & save yourself 20 quid

good food but overpriced compared to quality but makes sense looking at location and not really any other nearby substitutes. coke was also flat

Awful customer service. The man was very rude and didn't like the fact we asked for ketchup. He gave us a dirty look and spoke in a rude manner. The chips were hard as a rock.

I have to thank this place for putting me off fish n chips for life. So greasy I felt physically sick

The worst fish and chips and staff is soooo poor. Waiting to order when behind the counter one staff doing nothing. Then we only have one order in front of us and have been waiting for 20min already. No information why it’s so slow but can see staff barely moving, talking to each other, one even on the phone. Don’t come here unless you are happy to wait for 40min when there is no queue even. If I could I would give no stars! Avoid at all costs, Brighton is full with amazing fish and chips and better staff!

Quite disappointed, worst fish and chips I’ve had while visiting the UK, I’ve had much better else where for much cheaper, and the batter wasn’t nice at all, avoid here

Started queuing and could overhear the lady infront complaining she was overcharged. The young man behind the counter then proceeded to start serving us whilst the lady was still trying to talk to him which was rather rude. We ordered a meal deal - 2 x sausage, 1 chips and a drink = £5.95. We handed over the money to then be told it was £6.25. We said no, your menu says £5.95. The young man started getting flustered and calling for management saying the till prices are incorrect, however he stays adamant that it's £6.25 - I tell him your menu says £5.95 so that is what I'll pay. Management come over and we are shown the till which says £6.25. We took a photo of the menu and showed them it said £5.95. Management were then stood there arguing with us, and then laughably said 'well those menu prices are old' UPDATE YOUR PRICES THEN. Not that hard to stick a piece of masking tape over a price and write something new if you don't want to buy a new sign menu. Ridiculous. We asked for our money back and went and got the chips elsewhere. 30p difference is not a big deal, and I would have been more than obliged to pay it if they hadn't have tried to swindle the lady in front of me out of paying more as well, and the fact the staff are just SO RUDE. For the staff to turn around and act like it is MY fault that their prices are not up to date is crazy customer service. Avoid like the plague unless you want to pay more than displayed or stand there arguing with the staff!

I use to own a fish and chip shop. This place gives tourists and people who come to enjoy eating traditional fish and chips walking along the pier a very bad name!!! I only give this a one star for the package of the box it came in, also there is no rating less then 1 star or a negative rating! Otherwise i would have give it a minus 6!!!! The chips where rock hard and looked like they had been in the pan for more then 3 hours! The fish was flat has a pancake and nearly cold!!!! I paid £6.70! What a waste of money!

Staff not friendly, Service too slow, food not nice except the drinks.

Can't give a no star review. The staff were surly, felt like me asking for food was worthy of contemptuous looks. When I got the fish and chips the fish was dry and overcooked. Could have had a better lunch munching on cardboard. The staff seemed more interested in getting the money in than providing good food.

Took ages to get served a simple order of chips, when I pointed this out and asked for a refund, the staff member was extremely rude. He tried too shortchange me, and then gave me random change rather than a note. Petty and unprofessional. Avoid.

We ordered fish and chips from the Big Fish Trading Co. on the pier (by the kids rides). The portion sizes were extremely generous and it was really reasonably priced. The best fish and chips I've had in years.

Food poisoning from poor hygiene.

Not recommend this place. I ordered regular fish and chips. The fish was all butter and very little meat inside. When I told the manager/owner, he was so rude and unprofessional.
