BGR in Redbridge

We ordered a hot dog which did not mention spicy, but was in fact mildy spicy and overcooked. We ordered a piri piri chicken wrap which is ok, but piri piri sauce is pretty much water, so it went everywhere and didn't taste of much. The service was slow, and the manager was on the phone to her friends all the time. The strawberry milkshake was ok. Giving feedback at the end was met with stone cold faces and no empathy. In short they don't care. Avoid. Food is 2 out of 5, service 1 out of 5.

Disgusting, filthy business - no regard for hygiene or local residents. Another fast food joint to add to our obesity problem! Avoid

Awful awful place. Horrible service. Gave me uncooked chicken and fought with me. Nearly made me cry. The servers had such bad attitude. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY I KNOW HAVE A STOMACHEACHE

Throughout the service was poor, they were rude and when a meal was undercooked (which was chicken) they said ‘thanks for letting us know’ - also everything costs extra - e.g. pay extra for chips. Terrible restaurant and not worth the trip.

Not the best food I ate and the quantities are very small. Chilly chips are extremely chilly. I enjoy hot food a lot but, theirs is not good at all. I ordered online

Visited this establishment tonight and what a terrible meal and we’ll…the attitude of the staff was appalling Went in and told the girl taking the order we have a tastecard. No problem but you must order a starter, main and side (burgers don’t come with chips, everything is extra) So odd we went to order as we was told, 10 minutes later the kids meals were brought out…great we thought! Oh no then comes EVERYTHING at once! Burgers, cold chips with melted cheese all stuck together and gloopy, then the starters! Now please tell me if I’m wrong but starters are meant to come at the beginning of the meal, no everything was put on the table at the same time…apart from one of the starters which we had to chase. Too many drinks were put down, we told the waitress who said, I wrote down what you asked for, then my burger came up with cheese and I had asked without (don’t like cheeseburgers!) she went off to get her but of lined paper from her pad… no you didn’t ask without cheese, ummm yes I did I don’t like burgers with cheese, what happened to the customer is right! At the end of the meal we asked to speak to the manager, oh the manager is off sick, so 2 young girls in charge of this place with no manager, how is this right?? Anyway I think you can tell we won’t be returning and certainly won’t be recommending! Ps please don’t think the photos on their page are true photos…great photography!!!!

I ordered via Just Eat. Vegan burger with vegan sweet potato fries and vegan corn cobs. Food arrived piping hot, well presented and above all tasted wonderful. I'm new to a vegan based diet due to health issues and was unsure about ordering. I need not have worried. Well done guys, will be recommending you to friends and family! Lovely!

Myself, the husband and my bestie, were just meeting up for one of our usual catch ups, at a place we picked at random and thought we'd try it. BGR, South Woodford. Well, I am absolutely gutted that I didn't get the names of the two ladies who served us, because they turned our basic catch up, into a dining experience. They went above and beyond for us and we laughed each time they helped us. And when one of them found out I was pregnant, she went the extra mile to ensure I was catered to exceptionally. Sorry I didnt catch your names ladies, but you definitely deserve some serious recognition and praise for the experience you gave us. Thank you from the pregnant one who eats her husbands food, the husband who did not want to share his shake and the half vegan!! 🤣😂🤣😂

Ordered via Uber eats, 3 burgers all cold right to the Center and meat still pink inside (£10-12 each) sweet potato fries in a paper bag- cold and hard (£4) Cheesy chips- cold and hard, cheese had actually congealed 🤮 Called the store to be told there’s nothing we can do for you. Deliver driver also only wore his mask as a chin strap. Binned the lot Very expensive (£40 for 3 burgers plus 2 sides) disgusting customer service, won’t bother with them again. After seeing reviews on here it seem to be common practice

Ordered takeaway and the service was fantastic in terms of explaining the menu and assisting in making the choices.Peppa was very informative to help make the choices. The food was on point. Burgers were very tasty and meat was succulent. I highly recommend this place as food and service was top notch.

A bout two and a bit years ago my partner and I decided to try the newish restaurant BGR (a name take on the neither chain GBR) I’m a huge fan of burgers so we ordered a burger and fries with a milkshake. The shakes were great, honestly they were however the burger was revolting. The burger broke up in pieces and was left to be desired. This brings me to yesterday, international burger day! I was dead set on a burger and with covid19 closing some of the gems that we normally go to I thought I’d try BGR again, I’m a firm believer in that everyone should have a second chance when it comes to restaurants (some may disagree with me) After all it was a few years ago when we had that revolting burger, my partner declined to order again.. however I did. What a mistake I had made, the patty was awesomely awful, no taste, proper meaty but not in the good way, credit to the brioche bun but that had no effect on the taste of the burger! Chips were ok but greasy standard kebab shop style chips. The milkshakes were on point, I’d suggest butterscotch! BUT PLEASE IF YOU LIKE SHAKESHACK, 5 GUYS, GBR and similar this place is not for you. The place is always empty. To the owners I suggest you listen To the reviews of this year (and last years) and chance your recipe or management. It’s such a shame a “what could be nice” burger joint in South Woodford is always empty and surviving for so long with these terrible reviews. Hopefully this can change your attitude and make Proper Burgers!

Lamb burger was a strange consistency and the meat was crumbling and falling apart. Not very tasty. Ground chicken burger was very bland and didn’t taste like chicken more like alternative chicken. Nachos were overloaded with cheese and then liquid cheese on top, and the guacamole was liquid. Pretty awful. Milkshake on the other hand was the best and the cheesy fries were great.

Just ordered for my wife after long day with the kids in lockdown . The burger bun was stale the fries were cold and hard . Overall really shocking and disgusting ... she took a bite and gave the rest to the dog! How on earth Evan you mess up Burger and fries !!!?!? What a Terrible restaurant.

Ordered half a chicken with chips. Terrible taste and the chicken was raw. Kids meal was OK. Such poor presentation of food on the table.

We eat here regularly- just a burger and drink each which is good value especially with my taste card. It clearly states on the Tastecard app that you can get 50% off all food, 7 days a week. This week when we visited we went to pay and were told “ the terms have changed. You must now order 2 courses each to use your card. “It seems they have made up their own rules. The waitress was sweet - it was her first day. She didn’t write our order down so got muddled and forgot some things. The restaurant is always almost empty when we visit though we like the food. Disappointed at their changing of the rules which I’m sure isn’t allowed . We won’t be back
